Ox King of Fire Mountain

Hello everyone, and welcome back to Tales of Kakarot and Parslee. As you can tell by the title of the chapter, we will be seeing the future father-in-law and future wife of Kakarot, aka Goku. Though, to huge Dragon Ball fans, you probably already saw this coming. Now, let's see how their encounter goes with the huge man and his daughter.

We follow our heroes, as they were getting closer to the next dragon ball.

Some distance away, Yamcha and Puar were behind the heroes, as they hadn't been spotted by them yet.

"Where are they going in such a hurry?" Puar asked.

"I don't know, Puar, but I hope it's worth it." Yamcha said, as he and Puar kept following our heroes.

Speaking of, Bulma was still driving the car, as Kakarot and Oolong were both getting bored in the back seat.

"How much longer until we get there?" Kakarot asked.

"Yeah, I'm getting bored." Oolong added.

"Judging by the radar, it will either be a few hours or a day, depending on how things go from here." Bulma told the boys.

"Well, this sucks." Oolong complained.

"Quiet, or we will leave you here and make you into bacon!" Bulma yellled at him, which made him shut up.

Meanwhile, at the HQ of Pilof, we see their radar up and functional. They see five pings heading to a sixth, as they knew it was our heroes with five of the dragon balls about to get their sixth.

"We need to get our hands on those dragon balls!" Pilof yelled in anger.

"How, sire?" Shu asked.

I don't know, think of something!" Pilof exclaimed.

"I know! When they get here looking for the dragon ball we have, we can trap them and snatch their dragon balls!" Mai exclaimed. Pilof had his hand to his chin in thought, only half listening, when an idea popped in his head.

"I got it! When they get here looking for the dragon ball we have, we can trap them and snatch their dragon balls!" Pilof exclaimed, repeating the plan Mai had said. Both Mai and Shu looked at each other, then to Pilof.

"But sire, isn't that Mai's-" Before Shu could finish, Mai covered his mouth in panic and said.

"Good idea, sir. Glad you thought of that plan."

"Thank you, Mai. Sometime's I'm so smart, it hurts." Pilof said, with a smile on his face. That's when Mai and Shu huddled together.

"Why didn't you tell him it was your plan, Mai." Shu whispered.

"You wouldn't want Emperor Pilof yelling at us, would you?" Mai asked in a whisper.

"I guess not." Shu whispered in response.

"Then let him have this." Mai whispered.

Back with our heroes, the sun was starting to set and they knew they would have to stop for the night.

"Guess we should pull over for the night. We can set off first thing in the morning." Bulma said, as she pulled over and got out of the car and everyone else followed suit.

In the distance behind them, Yamcha saw them pull over, which they did too. They made sure to keep hidden from sight.

Bulma set up the house, as everyone went inside. Bulma made dinner for everyone with Parslee's help. After a while, the food was done and everyone started eating. That's when Bulma struck up a conversation.

"So, Parslee. Where did you learn how to cook? Was it all from your grandpa Gohan?" She asked.

"I did help him out with it after we arrived here, but before that, I would usually help my mother with cooking on planet Vegeta." Parslee, as she was eating her food.

"So, your mom was't like the rest of the Saiyan's?" Bulma asked.

"Well, before she went to work at the meat distribution center, she used to be apart of my father's squad. She wasn't too cut out for fighting, so she worked there." Parslee said, as she took another bite out of her food.

"Who was apart of your pops' crew?" Ooblong asked, as he was actually curious.

"Well, there was Tora, my dad's Second-in-Command. Then there was Fasha, the only other female that was apart of father's crew. And there was also Shugesh and Borgos. Even though father was in charge of them, they were like apart of the family, especially Tora." Parslee said.

"I'm guessing you had a special connection to Tora?" Bulma asked.

"Yeah, he was like an uncle to us, in his own way." Parslee said, as she cracked a smile. "He always ruffled my hair whenever he stopped by."

"I bet you miss them as much as your parents." Bulma sadly said.

"Yeah, I do." Parslee said.

"How come I don't remember them?" Kakarot asked.

"Because you were too young to remember them. You were only 2 when we left planet Vegeta." Parslee told him.

After their chat, they finished their food and cleaned up. Bulma pulled out the map and put it out on the table. Oolong came over to take a look too.

"So, where are we heading for the next dragon ball?" He asked.

"Well, according to the dragon radar, we should be heading to here." Bulma said, pointing to an area called 'Fire Mountain.' This made Oolong squeal in fear.

"Fire mountain!? Are you crazy?! That place is controlled by a huge, brute of a man!" He said, panicking.

"He can't be that bad." Kakarot said.

"Yeah, you're just being a scardy pig." Parslee agreed.

"I am not! The brute who runs that area is called the Ox King, and he is no fan to strangers!" Oolong yelled, as he was now making Bulma freak out.

"B-But, we need to get the dragon ball from there." Bulma said, in a shaky voice.

"Well, you can say goodbye to the dragon ball, because you won't be able to get it from him!" Oolong said. That's when Parslee spoke up.

"We're going to get the dragon ball from him." She said, with no fear in her voice.

"How!? He probably has it with the rest of his treasure he has!" Oolong exclaimed, still terrified.

"Easily. Grandpa Gohan told Kakarot and I that he used to train under Master Roshi with an Ox King. If it's the same guy, then he will comply with us." Parslee explained. Bulma let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness. That almost made me terrified to go." She said.

"You better hope it's the same guy, or we're all dead." Oolong said. He was less terrified now, but was still skeptical of all this.

Meanwhile, Yamcha and Puar were hidden outside of the house, as they heard the conversation.

"What's a dragon ball?" Puar asked Yamcha in a whisper.

"I don't know, but whatever it is, it must be pretty valuable if there is one at Fire Mountain." Yamcha whispered back.

"Also, what's with those weird names they were talking about?" Puar asked.

"I don't know, but they all sounded like vegetables." Yamcha whispered. After all that information, they went back to where they were camped.

Back inside, our heroes decided to head to sleep, so that they would have an early start in the morning. Once morning came, our heroes had gotten up and ready, as they got on the road. Yamcha and Puar had also gotten up, as they continued to persuit our heroes.

After a few hours, they arrived at the base of Fire Mountain. Once they got out of the car, they were looking at what looked like a town that was destroyed. What was weirder was there was a castle on a mountain that was surrounded by huge flames of fire.

"Man, whatever went through here did some serious damage." Kakarot said.

"Do you think another Saiyan came here and did this?" Bulma asked, then added. "I mean, you did say they did this before." She looked to Parslee worriedly.

"No, it wasn't. If it were another Saiyan, there would be more damage in this area." Parslee told her. She then added. "Plus, any other Saiyan that is alive probably doesn't know about Earth right now."

"But, who else could've done this?" Bulma asked.

"I told you the Ox King lives here. He probably destroyed his town in a fit of anger." Oolong said, looking to Bulma. As he did, he saw a really huge figure looming towards her, raising an ax to try and slice her in half. "Bulma, watch out!" He cried, pointing in the direction of the figure.

At the sound of his cry, she looked at him for a brief second, before looking where he pointed. She then let out a shrill shreik, which got the attention of both the Saiyan's, as they rushed to her aid. As the figure swung his huge ax down, Parslee used both her hands to stop it in place, though she was struggling with the figure's strength.

Kakarot saw Parslee struggling with the figure, so he made sure to get Bulma out of the way, before Parslee had let go and dodge the weapon.

"What are you doing here? Are you here for my treasure?" The figure asked in a deep, masculine voice. When the gang got a good look at the figure, it was a huge man that was 9 feet tall and was dressed like a Viking. He had a short, bushy brown beard and goggles over his eyes. He towered over our heroes, making Bulma and Oolong cower in fear, though the Saiyans weren't intimidated by that.

"The only thing we came here for is a Dragon Ball, not some guy's treasure." Kakarot said.

"Liar! I know treasure hunter's when I see them!" The man said, as he attempted another swing of his ax. That's when Parslee interrupted him,

"Wait, you wouldn't happen to be the Ox King, would you?" She asked. This made the man stop in his tracks.

"Yes, I am. Who wants to know?" The man, now known as the Ox King, asked.

"My name is Parslee. This is my brother, Kakarot, and out friends, Bulma and Oolong." Parslee said, introducing herself and the others.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, despite having some weird names." Ox King said, refering mostly to Kakarot and Parslee.

"Tell me, do you know a man named Gohan?" Parlsee asked.

"Well, I know a man with that name who I trained with under my old master." Ox king said.

"Would your old master go by the name of Roshi?" Parslee asked again.

"Yes, how do you know them?!" Ox King asked, surprised they knew his old master and friend.

"Well, we met Master Roshi not long ago, and my brother and I are adopted grandchildren of Gohan." Parslee told him. That's when Ox King kneeled down to her level.

"I see. How are Gohan and Master Roshi doing?" He asked.

"From what we saw, Roshi was doing alright." Kakarot said.

"As for grandpa Gohan, he's doing pretty good." Parslee added.

Both Bulma and Oolong were looking at the trio confused. Before, they were cowering in fear at what would happen, but now the two Saiyan's and the Ox King were talking like they knew each other for years.

"That's good. Last time I heard from Gohan, he mentioned in a letter that he found two children that came from space. After that, I haven't heard from him. Guess you two were the children he was talking about?" Ox King asked.

"That's right. Now that we know we aren't enemies, would you mind helping us find a Dragon Ball?" Parslee asked.

"Sure, though I gotta know what it looks like first." Ox King said.

"Right. Bulma, mind bringing the Dragon Balls over to show the Ox King?" Parslee asked, looking to said genius.

"Uh... sure." Bulma said, as she gulped. She was still a bit terrified of the bigger man, but she walked forward, reached into her backpack and pulled out a Dragon Ball. "This is one of the balls we are looking for. Do you know where we could find one?"

The Ox King kneeled down again and brought his face closer to get a better look. "Oh, I found an orb that looked identical to that one years ago. It's in my treasure room of my castle." He said.

"It is? That's great! Where can we find your castle?" Bulma asked excitedly. Ox King stood up and pointed to the direction to his castle, which was the castle surrounded by fire.

"That's my castle right there." He said. Bulma's face went from excited to fearful. She then perked back up again.

"That would be easy. One of these two could fly over and grab it from there." Bulma said, pointing to the two Saiyans.

"That could work." Parslee said.

"You can try, but it won't work." Ox King said.

"Why not?" Oolong asked.

"Because a long time ago, I had a wizard surround the castle with fire to keep intruders out, but the fire went out of control and even I was not able to get in." Ox King explained.

"Well, I'm still gonna try." Kakarot said. He then started to fly up to the castle. As he was flying up there, pillars of fire started shooting up to him. He dodged and weaved through the fire, until one had went right in front of him to the point where he wouldn't stop in time and he rammed into the fire. He flew back with some scorch marks.

"See? I told you it won't work." Ox King told them.

"Then how can we put out the flames?" Bulma asked.

"Maybe we could go ask Master Roshi for advice?" Parslee suggested. This then gave the Ox King an idea.

"That's it! Master Roshi has a magical item called the Bansho fan. Maybe we could ask him to borrow it." Ox King said.

"What's the Bansho fan?" Bulma asked.

"A magical fan that can summon powerful rainstorms, though you'd need to fan it three times for it to work." Ox King explained.

"That means we could put out the fire and get the Dragon Ball!" Bulma exclaimed.

"Exactly." Ox King agreed.

"I'll go get it. I can be pretty fast while flying." Parslee said.

"Also, I would like for someone to go find my daughter, Chi Chi. She said she would go get the fan and hasn't come back yet." Ox king said in worry.

"I can go do that. Mind showing me a picture of her, so I know what she looks like?" Kakarot asked, offering to look for Chi Chi.

"Right. Just one second." Ox King said. He reached into a pocket and started rummaging around, as he then pulled out a picture of Chi Chi. "Here it is."

The group looked at the picture, as they saw a girl that was Kakarot's age on it. Chi Chi looked like a beautiful, light-skinned girl with developing breasts. She has long, straight black hair reaching mid-back with short square bangs, and large black eyes.

From what they could also see, Chi Chi was wearing blue armor that was in the shape of a bikini, pink gloves and boots, a green cape and a pink helmet with a red gem and blade sticking out from the top. Kakarot was blushing, as this was the most skin he ever saw on a girl before.

"I guess we can travel together, get Chi Chi and the Bansho fan and be back here in no time." Parslee said.

"Right, let's go." Kakarot said, as they then flew off in the direction the Ox King pointed.

Meanwhile, a minute or so before they left, Yamcha and Puar were hiding behind a piece of destroyed wall and heard everything they were talking about.

"Did you hear what they said, Puar? I thought they were kidding about that." Yamcha quietly said, surprised that two of the people they were following were from outer space.

"Yeah. It kinda explains why that kid you fought before didn't have any scratches or bruises after you fought him." Puar said, refering to the short fight between Yamcha and Kakarot.

"You said it, Puar. They must be as tough as steel or something if they can take a beating like that." Yamcha said. He and Puar then see the two siblings then fly away, surprising them even further.

Meanwhile, with the two Saiyans, they were flying while keeping an eye and ear out for Chi Chi. Suddenly, they both heard a scream and looked to a distance, as they saw someone being chased by a dinosaur.

"Let's go help them, Kakarot." Parslee said, as she dashed to go help. Kakarot silently followed his sister.

We get a closer look of who was being chased by the dinosaur, as it was Chi Chi. She was trying to not get eaten, which she soon got cornered because she wasn't paying attention to where she was going. She then faced the dinosaur.

"Stay away!" Chi Chi yelled, as she closed her eyes and put her hands to the gem on her helmet. The gem then shot out a laser, which went straight for the dinosaur's face and hit it, which exploded and left some damage to it. It then ran from Chi Chi, as it thought she wasn't the hastle to eat.

Both the Saiyans had stopped and saw what had happened. They were going to help Chi Chi, but it looked like she took care of it. Both the Saiyans then went down to see if she was alright.

"Hey, are you alright?" Parslee asked, as she and Kakarot landed close to Chi Chi. This had startled the poor girl.

"Eek! Who are you? Are you here to rob me?" Chi Chi asked.

"No, we're here for-"

"I knew it, you're here to kidnap me!" Chi Chi exclaimed, as she had interrupted Kakarot and detatched the blade from her helmet, throwing it at the two Saiyan's. Both of them had dodged it, but hadn't expected to act like a boomerang and hit Kakarot in the back of the head.

"Ow! Hey, that stung!" Kakarot yelled. Chi Chi was surprised that he withstood the attack.

"Who the heck are you two!?" She asked in startlment.

"I'm Parslee, and this is my brother, Kakarot. We're here on behalf of your father, the Ox King." Parslee said. This startled Chi Chi yet again.

"How do you know my father?" Chi Chi asked, skeptical of the two Saiyans. She also thought, 'Why do they have weird names?'

"We ran into him on Fire Mountain. He was worried about you, so asked us to get you and the Bansho fan." Parslee explained.

"Really? I was just about to go get the Bansho fan myself, until I ran into trouble." Chi Chi said.

"You handled yourself well with that dino. I like that. Plus, we can all go to Master Roshi and get the fan together." Kakarot said.

"Yeah. Why don't you hop on my back and we can fly to his place." Parslee said, pointing her back. This made Chi Chi skeptical, though she blushed at the comment Kakarot said.

"Are you sure it's safe?" She asked.

"With us, it is." Parslee said, then added. "Plus, it will be faster than by foot."

Chi Chi was convinced, as she climbed on Parslee's back and they flew off. Chi Chi was amazed at how fast they were going, as she wanted them to teach her how to fly someday. They had reached the sea within a couple of hours, as they asked a dolphin where Master Roshi's place was, which he actually told them.

It took about another hour for them to reach Roshi's island, which was a small island with a pink house on it with the word 'Kami' above the front door. They landed on the beach, where they see Roshi and Turtle relaxing on the beach.

"Hey, old man." Parslee greeted, which got Roshi and Turtle's attention. They looked in their direction and saw the three standing there.

"Ah. Kakarot, Parslee. Good to see you two again." Roshi said, as he got up and walked to the three. He then added. "Who's your friend?"

"This is Chi Chi, the Ox King's daughter." Parslee introduced.

"It's nice to meet you." Chi Chi said, giving a bow.

"Likewise. What brings you three here? And what happened to that other girl you were traveling with?" Roshi asked.

"You mean Bulma? She's with the Ox King, and we came to get the Bansho fan to help the Ox King put out a fire that surrounds his castle." Kakarot explained.

"I see. I think I have it around here somewhere." Roshi said, as he was about to head towards the house, when Turtle interrupted.

"Master, don't you remember? You were using it as a rug when you spilled juice on it and threw it away." He said, as Roshi remembered that.

"Oh, that's right. Sorry, kids. I guess I don't have it anymore." Roshi said. The two Saiyans and Chi Chi were bummed to hear about that, until Roshi spoke up again. "Though, there is another way I could help."

"Really?!" Chi Chi excitedly exclaimed.

"Yup. Just take me to the mountain and I will do my thing." Roshi said. The two Saiyans and Chi Chi were a little confused by what he meant, but they complied with the old man's wishes. Chi Chi got back onto Parslee's back, as Roshi got on Kakarot's back and they flew back to Fire Mountain.

Back with Bulma, Oolong and Ox King, they were waiting for their friends to return with Chi Chi and the Bansho fan. Yamcha and Puar were still hiding behind a piece of broken wall, as they couldn't do anything else.

"What's taking them so long? They should be back by now." Bulma said with worry in her voice. She hoped nothing bad happened to her friends.

"Relax, they'll be fine. I'm sure they got the girl and the fan and are heading back right now." Oolong reassured. "Besides, those two are as tough as nails. They can handle anything out there."

"I hope you're right." Bulma said, as that had calmed her down a bit. That's when she heard them returning.

"Sorry we're late." Parslee said, as she set down Chi Chi. Kakarot had also set down Roshi.

"We got Chi Chi, but we couldn't get the Bansho fan. Though, Master Roshi said he had another way he could help." Kakarot said.

"Mater, it is good to see you again." Ox King said, bowing down to his old master.

"Yeah, it's good to see you too. I see you got yourself into quite the pickle." Roshi told him, which Ox King nodded. "Don't worry, I will handle it."

Roshi took off his shirt, revealing not only him wearing a white tanktop underneath, but that he was a lot skinnier than what his oversized shirt made him look. He then climbed up a nearby wall, having a bit of trouble at first, then got into a stance. Roshi's body had bulked up, as his upper body was pretty muscular.

Everyone was amazed that he had bulked. They then saw Roshi motion his arms in front of him, as he cupped his hands and started chanted his signiture move.

"Kaa... Mee..." He started, as he then moved his hands to hip level. "Haa... Mee..." He continued, as a ball of Ki formed in his hands.

"HA!" Roshi finished, as he then thrust his arms forward and fired the Ki in a beam of bright light towards the mountain of flames. It then made contact with the mountain, as the attack blasted the mountain and the castle up.

Once the dust settled, there was nothing but rubble left from the castle. "Whew, that took a lot out of me." Roshi said, wiping some sweat from his forehead. "I meant to blow away the flames, but looks like I accidentally blew up the castle. My bad."

Everyone was either in shock or awe at the display Roshi did to the Ox King's castle. The Saiyan's, however, were amazed at the move he did.

"Whoa, can I do that?" Parlsee asked, as she had sparkles in her eyes.

"You can try, but it took me fifty years to master that move." Roshi told her.

Parslee took it to heart, as she looked for a target to do it. She then spotted a platue a good distance away, as she coppied the same starting stance Roshi did.

"Kaa... Mee..." Parslee chanted, as she moved her hands to hip level. "Haa... Mee..." She continued, as a ball of Ki formed in her hands too.

"HA!" Parlsee finished, as she thrust her arms forward like Roshi did and fired the Ki blast like Roshi had, as it headed straight for the rock formation and blew it up.

Everyone watching was amazed at how fast Parslee had gotten the hang of the move, especially Roshi, who was the inventer of the move. Even Yamcha and Puar, who were still hiding, were in shock at that power.

"A-Amazing! It took me fifty years to perfect the Kamehameha Wave and you got it on your first try!" Roshi said in amazement.

"That's because Saiyans are pretty good with Ki control." Parslee told him. She then added. "Didn't we come looking for a dragon ball or what?"

That clicked in Bulma's head, as she had momentarily forgotten that. "Oh, right!" She took out the dragon radar and clicked the button on top, as she took Oolong with her to the wrecked castle. Kakarot and Parslee were about to join them, when they were stopped by Roshi.

"Mind if I talk with you two for a moment?" He asked, which the two Saiyans looked at one another, wondering what the old man wanted.

Meanwhile, Bulma and Oolong had made it to the wreckage of the castle and started searching for the dragon ball. After a few minutes of looking, Oolong wanted to give up.

"Are you sure it was over here?" He asked.

"Yes, now keep searching or I will have Parslee turn you into porkchops!" Bulma scolded at him, making him squeal in fear and continue looking.

"Here, let me help you." Said a voice. Bulma looked over and saw Chi Chi was helping them.

"Thanks. Chi Chi was it?" Bulma asked, which Chi Chi looked over with a smile and nodded.

Back with Roshi and the Saiyans, they were having a chat. Ox King was there to see what his master had to tell them.

"So, what did you want to talk about, old man?" Kakarot asked. Roshi wasn't too fond of being called old, but he let it slide, for now.

"Listen, after seeing that little performance, I was wondering if you two would like to come and train with me?" Roshi asked.

Both the Saiyans were a little taken aback, as this was the same master who trained both grandpa Gohan and Ox King.

"Are you sure?" Parslee asked, then added. "I mean, we would love to train under you, but we wouldn't want for you to have to make extra trips for food."

"Oh, yes. I heard from Gohan when he found you that you two have pretty big appetites. Sure, it would cost me a lot of Zeni, but I think I can handle it." Roshi told the oldest sibling.

"You should go train with him. It would be a great experience for you, and if Gohan was here, he would agree." Ox king told them.

"Well, if you insist, then we will train with you once we have found all the dragon balls." Parslee agreed.

"Glad to hear. As for you, I heard rumors that you like to frighten visiters. Is this true?" Roshi asked, turning to the Ox King.

"Well, I... uhh..." Ox King said, stumbling over his words.

Back with Bulma, Chi Chi and Oolong, they had continued to search for the dragon ball until Bulma found it a few minutes later.

"Hey, I found it!" Bulma exclaimed, as she picked up the dragon ball. She then took a good look at it, as this one had seven stars.

"That's what it looks like?" Chi Chi asked.

"Yeah, though they have different number of stars in them. There are seven in total, but we only have six." Bulma told her.

"So, you only need one more?" Chi Chi asked.

"That's right." Bulma said.

"Now that this is over, let's get outta here before something bad happens." Oolong said, getting worried.

"Fine. We got what we came for, so we can go back to the others." Bulma said, as she started heading back with Chi Chi and Oolong. What they hadn't realized was Yamcha and Puar were watching them.

"So, those are dragon balls, huh." Yamcha said.

"They don't look that impressive." Puar added.

"Maybe, but if they are looking for them, then they must be very important." Yamcha finished.

Back with the main group, the three that had found the dragon ball had returned to them.

"So, did you get the dragon ball?" Parslee asked, as Bulma showed her the seven-star ball.

"Yup. Now we just need one more, and this one looks pretty far away." Bulma said, as she put the dragon ball in her bag and took a look at the dragon radar, showing how far the last dragon ball was from their current location.

"If you get going now, you can get to it before anyone else does." Roshi suggested.

"He's right. We should get going before someone else gets to it." Kakarot said.

"Alright, let's get going." Bulma said. The group had bid farewell to Roshi, Chi Chi and Ox King. As Bulma got out her car, Chi Chi came over to Kakarot.

"Do you think we will see each other again?" She asked him.

"I could see us meeting again in the future." Kakarot told Chi Chi, which made her smile with a blush on her face.

"That's good." Chi Chi said, as she gave Kakarot a quick peck on the cheek, then returned to Roshi and Ox King. This made him blush, as he had never been kissed by a girl before.

Parslee teased Kakarot about having a girlfriend, as it made him and Chi Chi blush. The two Saiyan's got in the car with Bulma and Oolong, as they then drove off.

There we go. Hopefully you guys enjoyed the chapter. I know I didn't have Yamcha and Puar do much this chapter, but they didn't originally do much in canon at this point. Though, I will have him help out in the next chapter.

Also, a but of a spoiler. A certain Galactic Patrollman that was originally introduced in Super will be introduced in the next chapter, as to do his yearly check-up on Kakarot and Parslee. Until then, see ya guys later.
