Hey, Fairy Tail fans, and welcome back to friendship, family, love, and Fairy tail. I'm back with more Dragon Slayer shenanigans. I have three chapters planned for these guys, so I hope you all enjoy them. Now, let's get to the first story.

Title: No one will believe you

Summary: Natsu and Gajeel love the total nerds that Lucy and Levy can be, but that doesn't mean they take satisfaction in it seeming like they don't know anything, so of course, they find a way to get even

relationships: Natsu and Lucy, Gajeel and Levy, Natsu, Gajeel and Wendy(sibling relationship)

Having Natsu and Gajeel on a job was a rare sight. Still, the only reason those two ended up on the job was that their better halves, Lucy and Levy, wanted to go on a job, so it was safe to assume both agreed rather than deal with the potential fall. Besides, although popular belief is that Natsu and Gajeel got along somewhat, usually when Wendy was involved, that was beside the point. Today, again, they were on the job. "So, what's the job again," Natsu asked.

"Levy and I are helping a family translate an ancient text that has been in this family for generations," Lucy said.

"Then why are we here," Gajeel asked.

"Duh," Levy smiled. "The two of you are our muscles. Makes us look tough."

"I'm taking that as a compliment," Gajeel muttered.

"So, we have to stand guard while you gush over some old books," Natsu sighed, "again."

"Well, not like you two would be any use in helping us translate," Lucy laughed beside. You know how grabby these sleezebags can be," she smiled as Levy walked off, leaving Gajeel and Natsu to shrug their shoulders as they followed their friend to their job point.

"Man, this job is going to be boring," Happy muttered,

"gives us a chance to take it easy." Lily smiled.

"Still, we could be doing something else," Natsu sighed. "Whatever, as long as we get paid."

"Knowing your luck, Salamander, they'll pay us in a potato," Gajeel told him.

Hours later. The group sat in the library of some wealthy estate. Natsu and Gajeel resigned to sitting in chairs as Levy and Lucy reviewed hundreds of texts. "These characters don't make any sense," Levy groaned. "Most of these words I've never seen before. Hell, I don't think most of these are words," she screamed. "I think this means." Levy looked over the word again, trying her most challenging, but still couldn't make it out. "I think this letter is a C," she smiled triumphantly.

"I think that's an A," Lucy said as Natsu looked over. Seeing the words, he smiled as he returned to Gajeel.

"Hey, you won't believe what I just learned," Natsu said.

"For the last time, Salamander, I'm not," Gajeel started.

"No, not that, man," Gajeel said. The boredom had begun getting to him, and he wanted to look around. Gajeel wanted to stay put because Natsu and rare expensive items didn't mix, like puppies and fire ants. Or Dragon slayers and moving transportation. "This is a prank that would cause no collateral damage."

"You do not cause collateral damage," Gajeel asked. "I gotta hear this one."

"You know that old text that Lucy and Levy have struggled with for the past three hours?" Gajeel confirmed that he did. For once, it appeared that the pair had encountered a challenge, but in a few hours, Lewvy, at least, would likely be shouting with joy as she typically does after successfully completing such tasks. Natsu boldly claimed, "Well, I recognize the language, and I believe you do too." Gajeel raised an eyebrow in surprise, "It's Draconic."

"That is a blast from the past," Gajeel muttered.

"I know, right," Natsu said, "and there is a chance."

"So, what we don't tell them till they figure it out," Gajeel asked.

"No, even better," Natsu smiled as he leaned in a whisper in his ear as Lily and Happy watched in confusion.

"What do you think they're up to," Happy asked.

"No idea," Lily said as he munched on Kiwi. "Gajeel seems to like the idea."

"So, you in," Natsu asked, his signature grin plastered.

"For once, Salamander, you've had a great idea." Gajeel smiled.

"Okay, I think we're getting somewhere," Levy smiled.

"Oh, thank goodness," Lucy smiled as Natsu appeared.

"You girls want a drink," Natsu asked.

"Not now, Natsu," Lucy said. as Natsu peered over her shoulder. "What."

"Why did you write I want to pee my pants in?" Natsu stopped, "Yeah, I'm not reading the rest of that," he said as Lucy looked at him with wide eyes, "What," he said.

"You can read this," Lucy asked.

"Hey, Salamander," Gajeel said. "Why did Lucy write."

"I don't know. She's a weirdo."

"Hey, focus, dorks," Lucy said. "You can read this."

"Yeah, it's draconic." Natsu smiled.

"Oh yeah, I see it now," Gajeel said. "It upside down shrimp," he said.

"Why the hell didn't you say anything?" Lucy and Levy shouted.

"You didn't ask," Natsu said.

"Aye," Happy said.

"There's a lot about us you don't know," Gajeel said, "Welp, we're off to look tough," Gajeel smiled as he left.

"Get back over here," both girls shouted, ready to get this job over with. It took a while, but Natsu and Gajeel could read and translate much of the text. It didn't amount to much, just to some long-lost family heirloom that none cared about. Lucy and Levy were tired and ready to get back to the guild and mainly figured out what other pieces of language this draconic language was connected to:"

"Man, I can't believe you know a lost language." Levy smiled.

"Yeah, this is great." Lucy smiled.

"So, you are saying we were useful in helping you translate," Natsu asked.

"I mean, yeah," Lucy answered, getting a little nervous as she looked at Natsu. "Why"

"Oh, it's just," Natsu smiled as Gajeel turned, also adopting a grin as the pair looked at them, "no one will believe you."

"What," Lucy and Levy asked as Natsu and Gajeel left.

"They are messing with us, right," Levy asked.

"Yeah, and besides, people will believe us," Lucy laughed, "It's us."

"I don't believe you," Erza and Mira said.

"I can't believe you," Gray said.

"I don't care," Cana admitted. "If they know a language and don't want to share it, that's on them."

"Come on, guys, you should have seen it," Lucy said. "I know it sounds crazy, but."

"Crazy," Gray laughed. "You expect us to believe that Natsu Dragneel could translate ancient text, and it just happened to be a language only Dragon Slayer could understand."

"It does sound crazy when you say it out loud," Mira added. "Natsu isn't the most studious wizard, more into action than words like you and Lucy." She smiled.

"I agree. Remember, Natsu could barely read and write until I helped him," Erza said.

"And he can barely do it now," Cana whispered.

"But that's what happened," Levy shouted. "They figured it out in minutes," she said. "

"It's possible that they just got lucky," Erza said. "I'm sorry, girls as talented as Natsu and Gajeel are. I don't see them being able to pull off something like that."

"She does have a point," Mira added.

"Why?" Lucy cried as she looked over, seeing Wendy entering the guild 'Wait, I know," she smiled. "Hey Wendy, come over here," she called as the younger dragon slayer ran up to her friends, smiling.

"Hey guys, is everything okay," she asked.

"You know dragon slayer language, right," Levy asked.

"What," Wendy asked.

"You know draconic like Natsu and Gajeel," Lucy asked hopefully. Only to be crushed when Wendy laughed.

"Lucy, there's no such thing as Draconic language," she laughed. "I think Natsu and Gajeel just got lucky," she smiled.

what" Lucy and Levy said

"kinda figured," Gray said.

"Hey, at least they got the job done," Mira said.

"Don't talk to us," Levy said.

"Oh right, one more thing." Wendy smiled as she leaned in close, ensuring the pair would only hear her. She then said something in the same language, roughly translating to 'no one will ever believe you' as Lucy and Levy looked in shock; Wendy smiled as she walked away.

"They got to her first."

Later, Natsu Gajeel and Wendy sat together in the corner of the guild, silently laughing to themselves at the prank they managed to pull off. "So should we tell them now?" Natsu laughed.

"Let them stew for a week," Gajeel said, "it's only fair."

"There you are," a voice called as the trio turned to see Laxus approaching them. "Explain yourselves. Levy and Lucy have been bothering me all day about this dragon language that you three can use," he asked as Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy grew dark grains.

"I mean, it only fair that we educate Laxus," Natsu said, "and if that takes a while."

"It would mean more fin." Gajeel smiled.

"You two are bad influences," Wendy laughed.

Until next time
