Chapter 6: The First Assault
.
.
"The class will focus on catastrophes, disasters, and the like," Aizawa commented in his characteristic disinterested tone. "You will learn how to rescue people in dangerous situations. You can choose to wear their hero outfits if you wish," she added clarifying the day's activities.
The students headed to the courtyard in their hero suits. Itachi, on the other hand, opted to wear his uniform physical education, instead of his hero outfit. The task did not require the full display of his abilities.
"Class 1-A, line up!" called Itachi with a firm and clear voice. As the class delegate, he had the responsibility of leading these basic tasks and ensuring everyone was organized and ready to start.
The students gathered in front of Itachi, ready to follow his instructions.
"Form rows according to your numbers! And board the bus in an orderly manner!" ordered Itachi decisively, his voice resonating with authority as he led by example by being the first to enter the vehicle.
Inside the bus, as they headed toward their destination, some students began to chat and share gossip.
"Hey, Itachi-chan, what happened yesterday? You left the class all of a sudden. Can you tell us?" asked Tsuyu with curiosity, propping her finger on her chin in a characteristic gesture. All eyes turned to Midoriya, intrigued by the story behind his abrupt departure.
"Oh, that," Itachi replied with a slight smile, trying to downplay the situation. "I just felt a bit dizzy, nothing serious."
"Dizzy? Why didn't you go to the infirmary?" Kirishima asked, visibly intrigued.
"After what happened yesterday, I decided it would be better to head home directly. I'm not comfortable in places with a lot of commotion," Itachi answered sincerely, explaining his preference for tranquility. The students nodded in understanding, respecting his decision.
"Ah, true. Yesterday, Uraraka was really worried about you. She ran out of the class when she heard you weren't feeling well, followed by Lida," Mina commented, sharing the story of Uraraka and Lida's reactions upon hearing the news.
"It's not a big deal, guys," Uraraka said, trying to play down her actions as she smiled shyly. Her humility and modesty were evident in her tone.
"That's odd, they only met a few days ago, right?" Denki asked thoughtfully, expressing the general curiosity about the rapid connection between Uraraka and Itachi.
"Yeah, don't tell me they're already a couple or something!" Tsuyu added with a hint of amusement in her voice, causing Uraraka to blush even more with embarrassment.
Itachi denied such a claim. "We're just friends, nothing more. Uraraka just wanted to repay the favor of looking out for me after I saved her during the test day."
"Ah, I understand. It's a kind gesture," commented Momo, trying to shift the focus to something more lighthearted.
"Yeah, don't jump to conclusions," added Uraraka in an embarrassed tone, attempting to change the subject.
"Really? I think they'd make a great couple," Mina commented with a playful wink, once again eliciting a blush from Uraraka and laughter from the other students. The atmosphere became even more relaxed thanks to the playful teasing.
"Come on, guys," Uraraka said again, embarrassed but with a playful smile, accepting that she couldn't escape the friendly banter. Laughter continued among the students, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere on the bus.
"Come on, Uraraka, no need to be embarrassed! We're just teasing!" Kirishima chimed in, trying to ease any tension the joke might have caused.
Before the conversation could continue, Aizawa's voice interrupted from the front of the bus: "We've arrived. Put your lovey-dovey chats aside and get ready for class." Laughter and friendly banter faded as the students got ready to face the new lesson of the day.
Now everyone stood before the rescue hero, Thirteen, whose reputation was known for their ability to handle disaster and catastrophe situations. The students remained silent, anticipating what was about to come.
"Without delay, let's enter the facilities," ordered Thirteen with a serious tone, leading the students towards the facilities where the lesson would take place. Their imposing and confident presence generated a sense of respect and focus among the young heroes.
The look of awe on the students' faces was palpable as they observed the facilities before them. There were stations set up to simulate forest fires, collapses, and various rescue scenarios.
"This is a training field I fabricated myself," Thirteen said with a note of pride in their voice. Their ability to create such a realistic and challenging learning environment was admirable, and the students couldn't help but feel excited for what awaited them.
"You're familiar with my Quirk, Black Hole. I can attract anything and turn it into dust," Thirteen commented, sharing more details about their ability. The students listened attentively, intrigued by their instructor's unique power.
The mention of the ability caught Itachi's attention in a special way. He couldn't help but compare Trece's power to Pain's Shinra Tensei, imagining how that ability could be further amplified if combined with large-scale Amaterasu. He fully recognized that if Trece were on the wrong side, they would be an incredibly formidable enemy.
"Yes, you use that ability to save people!" commented Uraraka excitedly. She was an admirer of Trece and saw them as a role model.
"Yes, but it's a power that can easily kill as well," Trece commented. "You all have something like that, don't you?" they added, posing a question that resonated in the minds of the students.
Itachi pondered for a moment, reflecting on his shinobi life and the destructive power he once wielded. Although his current ability wasn't instantly lethal like some others, he knew that his experience and knowledge could compensate for that in critical situations.
"You're going to learn to use your Quirks to save people, not harm them, that's all," Trece explained as they thanked the students with a bow for listening.
However, before the conversation could continue, a dark purple shadow opened in the middle of the courtyard, and a man with a hand on his head emerged from that portal along with many villains. Tension filled the air, and Aizawa wasted no time in giving instructions.
"Trece, protect the students," ordered Aizawa with seriousness, making it clear that the situation demanded utmost attention and caution.
Tension gripped the group as they watched the sudden appearance of the man. Kirishima couldn't help but voice his confusion and concern, "What's going on? Did the test start without any warning, like the exam?"
"No, these are villains, we're under attack," replied Itachi with a vigilant look. "Stay back!" ordered Aizawa as he prepared to face the threat before them.
"As Itachi mentioned, these are villains. This is strange; the sensors haven't been activated," affirmed Aizawa, expressing his bewilderment at the villains' arrival without prior notice.
"This is a surprise attack. They must have a target in mind," commented Thirteen, assessing the situation with experience and caution.
"Trece, initiate evacuation and try to contact the school," ordered Aizawa, putting safety measures into motion. "It's possible that someone with interference ability is affecting the sensors."
"Kamimari, try to contact the school using your quirk as well," added Aizawa, assigning tasks to the students to address the situation.
Aizawa leaped off the rooftop where he was and launched into the attack. With skill and determination, he incapacitated several villains one after another.
Elsewhere, Tomura, who was observing the scene, frowned at Aizawa's interference in his plans.
Meanwhile, Thirteen led the group of students towards the exit, but they were stopped by a dark purple smoke materializing in front of them.
"I won't let you escape. We are the League of Villains," declared the dark purple smoke, Kurogiri. "We will snatch away the last breath of the Symbol of Peace, All Might," he added, filling the air with an ominous aura.
"Whether he's here or not, this is the part that falls to me," said Kurogiri as his form expanded exponentially, creating a dome around him and teleporting the students to random locations.
Within the dome, Itachi experienced a strange sensation as he felt the energy of the smoke being absorbed by his body. However, his body didn't seem to be reacting appropriately, causing the energy to escape from his mouth as he coughed and struggled to breathe normally.
Itachi found himself teleported high in the sky, falling directly into the water as the purple smoke continued to emanate from his mouth.
While in the water, Itachi sensed the presence of a villain resembling a shark. Acting swiftly, he created a dome of energy around himself for protection, but the difficulty in breathing became more intense. Despite his efforts, he couldn't help but cough as he struggled to catch his breath.
At that critical moment, Tsuyu appeared on the scene and directly struck the villain, pushing him away from Itachi and creating an opportunity to save him.
"Midoriya!" Tsuyu exclaimed, trying to grab Itachi's body, but the protective shield he had created prevented her access.
"Itachi, deactivate the shield," Tsuyu urged, but there was no response from Itachi. The young man had lost consciousness inside the energy dome. Without wasting time, Tsuyu extended her tongue and wrapped it around the dome, quickly carrying Itachi to solid ground.
Although there was no solid ground nearby, Tsuyu spotted a boat in the vicinity. Carefully, she placed the dome with Itachi on the boat and climbed aboard with him. The dome deactivated upon touching the ground, causing Itachi's unconscious body to fall to the floor, showing no signs of breathing.
Tsuyu wasted no time and began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and mouth-to-mouth breathing on Itachi, trying to get him to breathe again. She compressed Itachi's chest and administered breaths at a steady rhythm, hoping that after a few moments, he would cough up the water and regain consciousness. The tension in the air was palpable as Tsuyu fought to revive her friend.
After a distressing few seconds, Itachi's body finally reacted. With a violent fit of coughing, he expelled the water he had inhaled during his time in the water. His chest heaved with ragged breaths as his body struggled to regain air.
Tsuyu looked at him with relief, letting out a held breath. "You're okay, Itachi! You're okay!" she exclaimed, a smile of relief on her face.
Itachi blinked and looked around, confused. It took him a moment to realize the situation he was in and weakly nodded at Tsuyu, expressing gratitude for her quick intervention.
"Welcome back, Itachi!" Tsuyu said, her voice slightly choked with emotion.
"Thank you... Tsuyu... I owe you one," Itachi said calmly, his voice slightly hoarse from coughing and lack of air. The gratitude in his gaze was evident as he regained his composure.
"Call me Tsu, and you owe me two," Tsuyu quipped, her voice returning to normal as relief washed over them. A blush colored her cheeks as she remembered that she had performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, technically involving a first aid kiss. She had never imagined her first kiss would be under such circumstances.
Itachi let out a small smile, appreciating Tsuyu's touch of humor. "Got it, Tsu," he replied, his voice now clearer as he finally regained his breath fully.
"We're in a bad situation," Tsuyu stated with concern in her voice.
Itachi sighed, nodding solemnly. "Yes, they were specifically targeting All Might. They must have a way to neutralize him," Itachi concluded, connecting the dots in his mind. No one would dare to go up against the Symbol of Peace, Japan's current number one hero, without a well-thought-out plan.
Suddenly, without warning, the villains started appearing from all sides of the boat, surrounding them and putting them in a pressing situation.
"We'll have to defend ourselves," Itachi said, grabbing a broom and using it as an improvised weapon. He hadn't brought his hero costume or weapon today, but he had no intention of being defenseless.
"They're assuming we'll fight them in the water," Itachi remarked as he watched the villains surrounding the boat without attempting to board.
"What do you mean, Itachi?" Tsuyu asked, seeking a clearer explanation.
"They don't know our quirks," Itachi clarified with determination. "That's our advantage right now."
"Croak, that's true," Tsuyu commented as she analyzed the situation. "If they knew that my quirk excels in water, they wouldn't have brought me here," she thought, recognizing that her ability might be their salvation.
Without wasting any time, the villains created a giant hand that split the boat in two, escalating the urgency of the situation.
"We need to escape, we're clearly at a disadvantage," Itachi said with determination. While he might be able to handle the group of villains with difficulty, protecting Tsuyu and being in enemy territory made things even more complicated.
"I have enough energy to create an energy dome and get us out of here," Itachi suggested, presenting his plan. "Tsu, with your super jump, we can make it to the shore quickly," he added, receiving an affirmative nod from Tsuyu, ready to put the plan into action.
"Alright," Itachi said as he created the reinforced energy dome around them, bracing for the impact of Tsuyu's super jump.
"Hold on tight to me Itachi, because this is going to get ugly," Tsuyu warned as she readied herself for the jump. He knew that the impact between them would be strong inside the dome.
"I hope it doesn't hurt too much," Itachi joked, holding Tsuyu's waist firmly from behind as they readied themselves for the jump.
"3... 2... 1," Tsuyu counted and leaped with all her strength, colliding with the dome and sending them both flying into the air. The dome bounced on the water, and Tsuyu leaped again, propelling them towards solid ground. Despite the villains' attempts to stop them with massive attacks, they only managed to further amplify the dome's rebound, moving them away from danger and closer to safety.
The dome finally reached solid ground, crashing forcefully into the sand and deactivating in the process. Itachi moved forward to shield Tsuyu, ensuring that he would take the brunt of the impact from the fall.
Itachi's body landed on the sand with Tsuyu on top of him, a position that might seem compromising to any onlooker. The proximity and Tsuyu's position over Itachi didn't go unnoticed. It was a situation that could make anyone blush.
Itachi felt the pressure of Tsuyu's breasts against his chest, causing him to blink in surprise at the situation. However, the adrenaline of the moment and the urgency of being in a safe place made him focus on what came next.
"Are you okay, Tsu?" Itachi asked, his voice laden with genuine concern.
"I'm a bit dizzy," Tsuyu admitted, feeling slightly disoriented from the intensity of the jump and the turbulence in the air. As she got up, she looked at Itachi, who was still beneath her. She quickly realized their position and her face turned a soft shade of pink. She swiftly moved away, making sure to maintain an appropriate distance between them.
"Are you okay? You took most of the impact," Tsuyu asked with a concerned expression, trying to shift the focus away from the awkward situation earlier. Her cheeks remained flushed, but her focus was on Itachi's safety and well-being.
"I'm fine, though this is going to hurt tomorrow," Itachi commented with a small smile as he carefully got up. He acknowledged that the impact wasn't exactly gentle, and he could feel his back protesting the experience.
Tsuyu nodded with a smile. "Yeah, we'll definitely need some sort of massage after this," she joked, trying to lighten the mood as she stood up.
