Reminiscence

Silencing the chatter, the classroom door of Class A slams open, revealing a short brown, curly haired teacher.

"Gran sensei!" The class exclaims.

Gran sensei glides into class. Her light blue maxi dress kisses the floor with every step. Her short brown hair, accompanied by numerous grey stands, cut into a cute bob, glistens under the sunlight. Gran sensei had only just turned sixty last month, yet she is the liveliest of all the teachers, especially compared to Aizawa Sensei. She began teaching at UA two years ago and is already the most favoured.

"Are you okay Gran sensei, I thought you were recovering?" Shiki asks, he wasn't the only one concerned.

Gran sensei had encountered a villain on her way to school last week and broke her arm. The moment she saw what was going on, she jumped into action, literally. Since her quirk is the ability over fauna, after the villain was apprehended, the entire street was closed off due to numerous large flowers now resting there. It's only been a week and it's already become a tourist attraction.

"Oh, I'm all good as new. Chiyo-I mean Recovery Girl's new assistant is fantastic." She smiles, brightening the room and their hearts to further heights. "Now get seated, we'll be exploring our own history today. The History of Heroes and Villains."

The chairs screech as a handful of students, who were stood, take their seats. Gran sensei looks around, a slight frown creasing her forehead, "I see not many have chosen this subject. I'm not surprised but I was expecting a few more."

Shiki scoffs with a sour expression, "Most have chosen Battle Tactics."

"I see," Gran sensei smiles, shaking her head. "I'm not really surprised. Anyway, let's start and don't forget to make notes."

They all stare at Gran sensei in anticipation. Within moments, the screen, at the front of the class lowers, along with a projector.

"We will explore a few current heroes and villains. Where they started, where they are now and how they got there. I won't be going into too much detail as you will all be split into groups and will be assigned one hero and one villain to explore. You will then present what you find at the end of the lesson.

Pointing the remote at the screen, an image of a hero in his hero uniform pops up. Gran sensei starts, "We will first start with heroes. The first hero we will explore is Iida Tenya, his hero name is Ingenium. He is currently working as hero full time and is well known for being honourable and righteous. Does anyone know what his quirk is?"

Bean jumps out of his seat, his arms waiving in the air, "I know, I know!" He smiles.

"Yes Bean?" Gran sensei asks.

"Is it Engine?" Bean asks.

Gran sensei nods in response. "Yes, he has got engines in his calves which allows him to run incredibly fast."

"Super speed!" Bean yells, motioning a plane rising into the air.

"Yes Bean, but next time sit down and raise your hand if you want to speak. No interrupting in class." Gran sensei points the remote at Bean, motioning for him to sit. Now pouting, Bean sits, his hair turning amber.

"Good," Gran sensei smiles, "Ingenium was also the class president during his time in UA, in the same class as our current number 1 hero. That is all I'll be saying about him. You all will have to find out more for your presentations." She pauses, giving time for a few to finish their notes.

The image on the screen changes to another hero, in his hero consume as well as an image of them during their teen years. "This next hero is Kendo Itsuka, her hero name is Big Fist. She is also currently working as a full-time hero. She works closely with Monoma Neito, whose hero name is Phantom Thief. Big Fist is well known to be a rival of Yaoyorozu Momo, who is Everything Hero: Creati. You may have seen their big fight last weekend."

A few students laugh and begin to discuss the fight. "It was awesome!" a student exclaims.

"Okay okay, calm down," Gran sensei laughs, recalling the intense and comedic fight, back to the screen. "Now, I can never say lastly to this individual. The person we will explore now is our Number 1 Hero Todoroki Katsuki, also known as Ground Zero. His original hero name didn't work out due to a few, umm, marketing issues with merchandising, so after a few explosions here and there and a lot of pleading from his partner, he settled with Ground Zero, as to what expense, we have no idea and I do not wish to know."

Shiki couldn't help but chuckle at this, recalling the time when there was a huge hole in their kitchen wall.

The screen changes to the next screen, showing an image of Katsuki in his hero outfit alongside an another of him in his school uniform, during his UA days.

"Oh gosh! Shiki, you look just like him!" Bean yells, pointing at the screen.

"Obviously, he's my mom you idiot!" Shiki yells back, making a few students giggle, including Bean, who plopped himself back onto his seat after meeting Gran sensei's stern gaze.

Shiki, still facing the screen, stares at the images of his mother. The slide changes to another image of Katsuki in his hero uniform, but this time standing above debris, fire bellowing behind him, and an injured child nestled in his arms. He notices the sleeve on the right arm was torn revealing a nasty gash. Blood was oozing down, past his elbow all the way to his fingertips.

"So that's how you got that scar," Shiki mutters, his eyes focused on the screen.

"What was that Shiki?" Gran sensei asked, startling Shiki for a second.

Now realising that Gran sensei and the rest of the class were looking at him, Shiki stumbles on his words. "Oh, no-no it's nothing," he stutters with an empty smile.

Gran sensei nods and turns back to explain the images now shown on the screen. Shiki zones out once more.

"Now!" Gran sensei exclaims, pulling Shiki back into class once more, "Villains!"

Every student perked up, their cheeks flushing as their blood began pumping faster at her words.

"Finally!" Bean fist bumps the air, "Who are we exploring?"

"Bean, sit down. We will be exploring a few villains. Some you may know, some you may not, so take notes. Again, I will not go into detail as that's your task to complete, understood?" Gran sensei states sternly.

"Yes sensei," the class replies in unison.

The screen changes to show images of a middle-aged woman with pink hair and cat-like eyes.

"The first villain we will be exploring is Toga Himiko," Gran sensei begins. "She has been a villain for a very long time and is well known for her quirk, Transform. Her quirk allows her to transform into other people and use their quirks. For her quirk to work, she needs to drink the blood of her target." She waits once again for them to finish their notes.

"Okay, for the second villain, we will be exploring Aoyama Yuga. He was once known as Shining Hero: Can't Stop Twinkling."

Many students in the class gasp in surprise. Bean, surprisingly still sat in his chair, stares at the screen. "You mean the U.A Traitor?"

Gran sensei nods, "Yes. His family made a deal with a villain so that he was able to obtain a quirk, resulting in him being a spy. He was later caught and sent to prison where he is still serving his sentence to this day. Make sure you dig deep in your research if you are assigned to this villain."

Silencing the few mutters that are still floating through the room, Gran sensei clears her throat before continuing.

"The final villain we will explore is a unique one. You will notice during your research that this villain has a different history compared to most villains. Unlike Aoyama Yuga, this villain did not originally start with bad intentions. This is to show that regardless of your upbringing, or your life experiences, anything can happen. As heroes, we must be prepared. The-"

"Come on sensei!" Bean interrupts, "Stop with the suspense, just tell us!"

Gran sensei couldn't help but sigh, "Bean, that's double the work for you."

"What! Why!?" Bean exclaims, his hair turning orange.

"You know why and sit down!" Gran sensei points at Bean's chair. Everyone laughs as they watch as he sits back into his seat, a pout once gain plastered on his face. As soon as Bean sat down, Gran sensei continued, "As I was saying, the final villain we will be exploring is Midoriya Izuku."

Shiki's eyes shoot forward, glaring at the new image on the screen. Both Bean and Alice couldn't help but glance at Shiki worryingly before focusing on Gran sensei once again.
