Okay, I'm going to be adding something that I've never seen in any other HP story and that is how MACUSA is run. At the head is the President, but those below are Governors, they run the regions of the country, for example, House Potter governs the Region of New England, and such and such.

Also I know I said this story won't be harem, but I'm thinking of adding Nym into the pairing of Harry and Daphne. If you'd like to see this let me know and if you don't just say so, don't go on a rant.

I've decided that this is taking place during July of 1988, so Harry will have his BDay soon and Hogwarts is finished its school year.

Potter Manor, Scotland

When Charlus heard the knock on his solar's door he gave his wand a wave and watched as the door opened to reveal Hadrian. His amber eyes saw the worry in his grandson's emerald pools, but other than that the boy was immaculate, his face was blank, and his robes fine. A small smile dawned on the lord's face, Hadrian had taken in everything he had taught him and the sight before him was all the proof he needed to know it was true.

"You've summoned me." The boy said as he entered the room, the doors closing behind him with a small click, signalling they were locked.

Giving him a nod, Charlus gestured to the seat beside their guest. "Have a seat, my boy, I have someone I want you to meet:" Hadrian nodded and sat down, his emerald eyes on the person beside him at all times. "Hadrian, this is Victoria Potter, sister to the current Governor Potter. She is here to help and teach you while I am absent or busy."

The aged wizard then watched as the worry in the boy's eyes vanished. "Hello, my name is Hadrian James Potter, Heir to the Most Noble and Ancient House of Potter." The boy introduced himself as he held out a hand, which made Charlus smile.

Victoria smiled and took the youth's hand. "Hello Harry, I hope you don't mind me calling you that?" The boy shook his head and the woman nodded. "Well Harry, my name is Victoria Potter. It's nice to meet you, my distant cousin." The boy nodded and their hands broke apart after shaking hands. "Lord Potter, you are correct that he is quite docile. Which isn't like our family in the slightest."

Charlus nodded, his amber eyes landed on his heir. "He is sadly so, but I can't blame the boy for what happened to him." His eyes narrowed at the memory of the boy in the cupboard under the stairs. "Hadrian," the boy looked at him, his magical eyes sparkling. "As I said earlier, I brought Victoria here to help and teach you. What I have taught you was only the basics at best and even then I haven't even started on building your mind's shield."

Hadrian raised an eyebrow and went to ask what he meant but thankfully to the aged wizard their distant relative answered. "It's the ability to stop one from invading your mind, Harry." The boy looked at her and Charlus saw the curiosity in his eyes. "Wizardkind calls that ability Legilimency, and your grandfather here is a master at it, but for now I will be teaching you all you need to know."

The boy nodded, and Charlus chuckled at the excitement written all over his great-grandson. "Thank you! I hope I can make you proud." Hadrian said as he bowed to Victoria in thanks.

"I know you will, Young Harry, but before we get to that stage, you have a whole lot of other things to learn." The woman said as she pulled out a wand, one that looked plain and clearly not her own. "Harry this is a Trainee's Wand, something all kids in America have and use while growing up, before going to Ilvermorny where they get their own, proper wands."

Victoria held out the wand to the boy and after receiving a nod from herself but also Charlus, he took the wand and examined it. "The only requirements one needs to receive one is that they have to be of talking and walking age, the parent's consent, you have someone who knows how to make a Trainee's Wand, in this case myself and lastly a magical core." She continued regaining Hadrian's attention. "The wand is made with Rowan Wood that is embedded with runes that will protect the wielder, and has a troll whisker core, which is the weakest core you can find."

From the looks of it, Hadrian was doing the same, absorbing all the information he was being told. Lord Potter was happy to see this side of his heir. Ever since the boy arrived at Potter Manor, when he wasn't teaching his heir the basics of being an one, most importantly the heir of Most Noble and Ancient House, Charlus always found Hadrian alone in the library reading up on the magical world or watching the herd of griffins on the property. So seeing this smiling youth was a delightful change to his aged life.

"However once you turn 11, I will be taking that wand from you." The smile faded and Charlus watched as the emerald-eyed boy held the wand closer. "By then you'll probably receive your acceptance letter into Hogwarts and just then I will craft you a wand of your own." With those last words joy and excitement returned to the 8-year-old boy. "But until then whenever you are using that wand, I advise that either myself or Lord Potter be around just in case something goes wrong."

Hadrian nodded and said. "Yes, Auntie!" Shocking both the woman and the aged man. "So when do we begin?!" He continued with a smile plastered on his face.

A few seconds of silence followed and it was broken when Victoria said. "I never expected to be called that, but you may if you want Harry." He nodded hastily, still wanting an answer to his question. "As for your question, I'm sorry but before we begin waving that wand you will need to know the basic theory of magic, and we will begin that process next week." Just like that Charlus watched as his heir slumped over in disappointment. He let out a chuckle and spoke.

"Why don't you go feed the Griffins, Hadrian." The boy looked at him and nodded with a bit of joy in his emerald eyes. The boy got up and both adults watched as he left, closing the door behind him. "What do you think?"

"I'll be staying." That was all Victoria said as she brought her eyes back to him. "He has a lot of potential with the Dark Arts, his eyes and body scream it." Her sapphire orbs, a trait the American Branch has over the British Branch, narrowed at him. "You never told me he had a familiar."

This was news for Charlus. "He does?" The woman nodded her eyes dropping the narrow after realizing that he wasn't hiding that information from her. "Can your eyes tell me what that familiar might be?" Lord Potter asked with a bit of hidden excitement, hoping that his heir might be bonded with a Griffin.

"All I know is that the boy's soul has a string attached to it." She said as she shook her head. "Anyone who has a familiar has a blue string attached to their soul. But what that familiar could be? I haven't a clue but I do have to say it isn't a griffin." Hearing this he let out an audible click of his tongue and turned his chair around to the wall-to-wall window.

Charlus looked to see the open and vast fields of his ancestors' work and home, how this land used to house no one but the griffins, and the other muggle animals he saw prancing around. He watched as his heir, carried a bucket of meat for the winged creatures, and how a smile was on his youthful face.

He remembered when he first saw those griffins and the smile that he held when he fed them. He remembered his family before they were taken from him by the muggles… back when his life was happy. As Lord Potter watched Hadrian feed the griffins, he only wished that he could have given the boy a life of happiness, a life away from those vermin muggles, and a life full of joy and family. But if what he was thinking, then the happy life he wished for his grandson's son and the possible last Potter of the Main Branch, might never come to be.

As his amber eyes watched he heard the door to his solar close, meaning that the American Potter had left. Allowing Charlus to have his thoughts and peace. Clutched in his dominant hand was his trusted weapon, the wand he received when his father passed away. The Potter Lord has things to plan for the safety of not only himself but the future of the family and his heir.

London

She should have known that when Lucius returned from the session he would be in a rage the moment the morning came, and as she predicted when the Prophet arrived to bring horrid news to Malfoy Manor. When Narcissa read it she found it almost impossible, her Grandfather the man who loved and cared for her, while her parents spat about Blood Purity, neglecting her and Andy and focusing solely on Bella.

But what came next made her realize that she couldn't stay there, for when she asked about it the man she had learned to love and care about, backhanded her and sent her to the floor. After regaining her posture the former Black looked to her husband and found that Lucius was unfazed at what he had done, almost as if he didn't care that he had struck a daughter of House Black.

'We fall to no one, my dear Cissy.' Lord Arcturus Black voice spoke from memory, and it continued, 'We, of the Most Noble and Most Ancient House Black, are royalty to the other houses of lower levels. We respect those of the Most Noble and Ancient, but those below them are nothing but ants to our might.'

If it wasn't for what she just read, knowing that her grandfather was still alive and kicking, what came next would even shock herself. Within seconds Narcissa was on her feet and wand in hand, and before she could even think or see the shocked look on the blonde man's face, curses were flowing from her wand, sending Lucius flying into a pillar behind him. But even then she didn't stop, making him quiver and groan in pain from the curses he was using.

Breathing heavily Narcissa stopped her eyes glowing violet from the magic flowing through her body, a trait House Black carried through all strong with their blood. Looking down at the man, realization dawned on her, a woman who no longer held the Black name just attacked her husband, a man of a Noble Family title, and the man knew what he could do to her for such a crime she had done.

Putting her wand away Narcissa made for her son, who was still in his room getting ready for the day. She knew that Lucius knew that Draco was a weakness of hers and that Lord Malfoy would use his heir to get to her. As she told her son what had happened her mind was working overtime. 'Where will they go?'

Narcissa first thought Grimmauld Place, being a descendant of the Branch Family residing in that townhouse, she has complete access to the place. But then she remembered that she has been disowned, meaning she has no access to the Black Vaults or the Property, she didn't even know if that cursed elf would respond to her call.

She couldn't even go to the Manor in Wales, for Grandfather resided there and the last thing Narcissa wanted was to meet Lord Arcturus Black III, for she feared what he would do to her when she tried showing her face at Black Manor.

As the former Black finished tidying up Draco, a thick robe over his clothes for warmth and a chest filled with their clothes and luggage, only one place came to mind, and the person residing in the house wasn't fond of her since she turned her back on them. So with a call of the Malfoy House Elf and a pop, Narcissa and Draco Malfoy found themselves standing in front of a small Muggle house in Muggle London.

Taking a deep breath the mother of one stepped through the wards, and made for the front door. "Where are we, Mother?" Draco asked innocently as he looked around the new surroundings, and she wanted to 'aww' at his young interest, but now was not the place nor the time.

"We are visiting my sister, your aunt Andromeda." She answered as she knocked on the door, and to her shock, it opened immediately. "Andy?" Narcissa called out in worry when she saw no one coming. Withdrawing her wand she pushed Draco behind her and stepped forward wand at the ready. "Draco, stay behind me."

"Y-yes Mother." He said quietly, gripping the back of her robes.

Stepping into the hallway, Narcissa mumbled out a 'Homenum Revelio', she knew that Andy had to be alive or even Ted, for if they were dead the wards outside wouldn't be up. Her confusion grew when her magic counted 4, one coming from upstairs and the others coming from the room ahead.

Turning the corner, Narcissa immediately lowered her wand when she realized who it was in the room with her sister and said sister's husband. Sitting in the finest chair in the room was a very familiar face. With his cold emotionless face, powerful eyes and the finest of robes and cane was Lord Arcturus Black, who was looking at her.

"Gra-grandfather?" She said with a fearful and confused voice. This was not what she was expecting. "Wh… why are you here?" The second eldest daughter asked with a quiver in her voice.

Instinctively Narcissa stepped back when Lord Black got to his feet and made his way toward her. With every step the powerful man made, she wanted to take another one away, but the woman couldn't for behind her was Draco, her baby boy who she found looking at the man with wide fearful eyes, which was understandable for the Malfoy Heir, never met someone of this caliber.

Her grandfather stopped before her and she flinched when he raised his hand, what is he going to do to her? However, what came next wasn't anything that came to mind but it also filled her with an unexpected comfort. Her grandfather grabbed her by the chin, with an oddly gentle touch and said.

"Did the Blonde Git give this to you?" All Narcissa could do was nod as he examined her cheek, and after a few seconds, a warm cold flowed through her cheek. "I promise you, my dear Cissy, that man will rue the day he struck you."

Of all the things that could happen, anything that went through her mind, this wasn't one of them. Her grandfather, the man who raised her alongside Andy, disowned her but when they see each other, Arcturus Black acts as if he never kicked them from the family. But Narcissa also couldn't deny that the affection he was giving her… was breaking her walls… all of them.

So when the last daughter of Cygnus and Druella leaned into her grandfather's touch, she wasn't surprised when tears freed themselves, making the always-strong woman look weak for once. As Narcissa leaned into the elder wizard's arms, she felt his hand combing her hair.

"I… I must apologize, my dear Cissy. I only disowned you once I discovered that Lucius Malfoy was aiming for my seat through you and your boy." The man said in a whisper, "But you must know that was only a play, an act so that my enemies know I am not to be fucked with."

Hearing this gave her hope, a hope that she never would have expected so soon. Pushing back from the embrace her blue eyes looked to his stormy gray, and he saw the honesty in them.

"Narcissa, you are a Black, you always will be while I sit in the seat. Just like Andromeda here, she is still a Black as well as Sirius." He said, with a shadow of a smile, his eyes going towards the middle child. "Orion had no right to remove you or your cousin from the family, for he was but a regent and well I held the true power. So if I must, you may ask anything of me, my dear Andy."

"Thank you for the offer, Grandfather, but as of now I'm happy with what I have." Narcissa watched as the man nodded, and Andromeda continued. "But can we get back to why you are here?"

The youngest Black daughter watched as Lord Black stepped back. "I absolutely agree, and with Cissy here it'll be even better." She then watched as a lip raised on the aged wizard's lips. "My dears, do you happen to remember Lord Charlus Potter?"

With that, 2 gasps were heard both belonging to the Black Daughters in the room, while young Draco stared in interest, all knew about Lord Charlus Potter. The man was infamous, not only did the Black Family know about his dealings with Grindelwald, but he was also known to chase after the hand in marriage of Dorea Black and succeed. But Charlus Potter was also known to hold his own against their lord, and they even watched as the two sparred, and was that a sight.

"Well from the looks of it, you all have a very good memory. But the reason why I bring this up is that Lord Potter has asked me to invite you and anyone I wish to celebrate his heir's birthday." Arcturus said, and no one needed to think about who the 'heir' was.

Hogwarts

"I told you placing Harry under their care would lead to nothing good! But no you said you knew better, and now look what has happened!" McGonagall said as she stood before the headmaster. "Vernon and Petunia both dead, and young Dudley in a state of permanent hospitalization, and Harry for all we could have been moved to America where the American Branch still has power! You have no one else to blame than yourself, Albus!"

When the Transfiguration Teacher finished that rant, she was filled with more rage when she saw that her superior looked as if he didn't care. Minerva knew that when Albus first came to her with the thought of placing the recently orphaned baby who did something even the strongest of wizards and witches failed at, killing Lord Voldemort. She knew that it was a bad idea, not only did Lily tell her that Petunia hated all things magic, but that her husband was even worse.

But she was also told by her Godson, James Potter, that no matter what if he and Lily were to be killed, Harry was to go to Sirius and if he wasn't available, then to his grandfather, the baby's great grandfather, a man she has crossed wands with, during their youth but also during the Great Wizarding World War, where Minerva once again had to fight Charlus Potter, and she barely survived and the only reason she was spared was that she was dear friends to the man's wife.

If she wasn't filled with loyalty to the man before her, McGonagall would have denied Albus Dumbledore her help, but that was something for Minerva to deal with later. So looking at the man who seemed as if nothing happened, her anger and rage only grew for the man she once believed was the greatest man to live.

Taking a deep breath, and allowing her calming magic to flow through her, Minerva McGonagall looked into the man's eyes and with a silent probing, something she knew could ruin her career, she tried to read the man's mind. Immediately she was met with a spiritual wall, but to her surprise it held cracks. Coming from them were the emotions of fear, regret, anger, and desperation.

But it wasn't long until she was tossed out of the mind of Albus Dumbledore. "Minerva." The firm voice of her superior called out and she looked at him and found that he was glaring at her. "Do not try that again." He said with a demanding voice.

Immediately she got to her feet and turned to leave, and as she did a smile formed on her lips. Albus knew what he had done and that he feared the consequences of his meddling. As she left the Headmaster's Office, she heard her superior ask her to summon Severus, but she ignored him because she had more important things to do. Such as making a visit to a manor of one of the most powerful men in all of Britain.
