Till Volume III, this story would have two storylines, the Main Storyline focusing on the happenings in the Lordran and another Secondary Storyline focusing on the happenings in Westeros and Essos. The secondary Storyline would be mainly following Tywin Lannister and Westerlands, with some minor focus on other things...

Right now, there is a great disparity between the Lordran and the rest of the Known World, and basically, the Great Magic Upheaval has just started and it will take some time until both continents of Westeros and Essos get back to the Magical Heritage and get much stronger in the process of so...
During this time, both Essos and Westeros would develop Magicall, becoming very close or rather similar to Age of Heroes, with each region of the Known World having some particular branch of Magic...
So essentially from Volume III both continents would interact more with each other because for one, the rest of the Known World would get stronger due to the return of Magic and for the second, it would actually have things that Lordran would want to have...
