"So, your memories of Orihime Inoue have come back?" Byakuya said as he was in the middle of doing some work while talking to Rukia.

"That's right. Ichigo showed us the diary and all of our memories started to come back." Rukia said. "Even if he hadn't, Uryu did a little research. Turns out that she's still considered a student, and Ichigo is determined to find her and be with her. I hope he does... I don't want to lose our friend." Thanks to Ichigo, everything really is back on track. The only thing that's left is to find Orihime and bring her back. "I still don't get why our memories of her were erased."

"It's because of her that the witch powers were there in the first place. Them being erased meant the Original Witch wasn't needed anymore. Did Ichigo Kurosaki tell you about the ceremony?" Byakuya asked.

"Yeah. He said time actually stopped and that he and Ruri were the only ones capable of moving." Rukia said. "That might sound crazy, but I'll believe anything at this point. It was because of her the wish could be granted." When she said that, she realized what he might have been saying. "You think it was because of some higher power of Ruri's powers."

"Possibly, but you should focus now on trying to get your friend back." Byakuya said. "Do you have any idea where she is?"

"We're hoping she'll show up at our school's Cultural Festival." Rukia said. "If she shows, Ichigo is going to try and persuade her to be with us. He's even going to try asking her out again. He'll do anything he can if it means he can be with her."

"And why not just go over to her place? You know where she lives, don't you?" Byakuya asked.

"If Orihime doesn't know who we are, it's going to look weird and we might scare her away." Rukia said. "Ichigo is planning to show her the diary to restore her memories, but it might look like we were burglars if we show we have her diary AND know where she lives."

"I see... If seems you thought this out carefully." Byakuya said. "Rukia... Best of luck." Byakuya is hoping they get Orihime back, and Rukia hopes that they will. Byakuya has also gained some respect for Ichigo, and hopes things go well for him as well.

Karakura High

Karakura High's annual Cultural Festival is finally happening. Students put together stands with food, fun games, gimmicks, and more. It's like a fun fair that the students themselves put together. It was also a good way for the school and clubs to make some money. Everyone else was having some fun, but Ichigo was keeping his eyes open for Orihime.

"Are you sure Orihime is going to be here?" Ichigo questioned.

"I am. I found out that Orihime has a couple papers to turn in." Uryu said. "When I pointed that out, the school gave her a call and asked her to come over. As far as they're concerned, it's just pure coincidence that she's being called in at the same time as our little festival here." Ichigo is certainly hoping so as he waited patiently near the entrance for her to show, but it's getting a little difficult to wait. Uryu was also concerned about Ichigo himself. "Ichigo, you need to brace yourself. There's no telling how much of Orihime's memories were altered. Even Tatsuki didn't know who she was and they were friends before we started here."

"Yeah. I showed her and Orihime's friends the diary and it worked for her, but they were all confused as to why they forgot her in the first place." Ichigo said.

"Still, it was rather nice of you to try and restore their memories as well." Uryu said.

"Orihime might have felt lonely, but they were still her friends. Hopefully, after all this, she'll never feel lonely ever again." Ichigo said.

"Ichigo!" Chad called as he and Renji came over.

"Any sign of her?" Renji asked.

"Not yet. How are things with the club?" Ichigo asked.

"No sweat. Grimmjow and the witches got it all handled. It was real nice of them to help us out like this and let you focus on Orihime." Renji said.

"After all that Ichigo has done to help, they say it was the least they could do." Chad said.

"Rukia had the bright idea to make sweets in the form of some supernatural figures." Renji said. "They all feel like Halloween came a little early." Ichigo was glad to hear the club is still doing well. That means that Ichigo just needs Orihime to show.

"Ichigo! There!" Uryu said as he spotted something. All of them looked to the entrance and saw Orihime as she showed up. As soon as Ichigo had his eyes on her, he felt like he was falling in love with her all over again. Taking a deep breath to ready himself, he walked right over to her.

"Hi, Orihime." Ichigo greeted.

"Hello." Orihime said, but she sounded like she had no emotion. "How do you know my name?" Ichigo felt his heart gain a small tear from that.

"I'm Ichigo... We go to the same school here. I happen to know Tatsuki." He claimed, but Orihime looked at him like she didn't know what he was talking about. "Uh... I have something you should look at." He said as he was about to hand over the diary.

"I'm sorry, but I need to go talk to a teacher." Orihime said as she just walked passed him with her acting like this all was nothing. Ichigo was a little hurt. She acted like she just wanted to leave him. The others were a little stunned with how Orihime just gave him the cold shoulder.

"What was that about?" Renji questioned.

"She doesn't know me..." Ichigo siad.

"Just as I feared. Orihime's memories have been completely altered." Uryu said. "She doesn't remember you, Ichigo."

"I don't get it. How could she not remember Ichigo, or even Tatsuki? She knew about them before the witch powers." Renji said.

"Maybe, but Orihime always wanted a way to better connect to people. That's why she could switch bodies with them in the first place." Uryu said. "She was the one who caused all of it, and everything she did was tied to the witch powers. It's probably like a defense system to ensure the witch powers remain secret. If Orihime's memories have been altered differently, she probably lived a lonely life after her brother's death and doesn't know how to interact with anyone here."

"This whole memory thing makes no sense to me, but I don't care. I'm not losing her." Ichigo said as he wasn't giving up and hurried after her.

The Supernatural Club

"Thank you! Tell your friends!" Nel said as she, Grimmjow, and the other witches were helping the Supernatural Club after everything Ichigo has done for them. It ended up being a hit with them selling sweets with a supernatural-theme to them.

"I can't believe this dumb club is doing this well." Grimmjow said.

"Well, I guess you can say we have some cute girls that make it hard to say no to." Nel said as each of the witches were trying to get attention and make sells. It also helped that they dressed in some witches costumes. "Who knew Uryu had a way with a needle and thread. Not to mention it was a lucky break that Rukia got some people to make these goods on a short notice."

"Hey, Nel and Grimmjow." Ruri said. "Uryu and Chad on their way back. You two can take a break if you want."

"Sounds good to me." Grimmjow said as he was on his way out with Nel following. That meant it was just the two of them as they explored what else the festival had to offer.

"You know, if you didn't like helping out Ichigo, you didn't have to." Nel said. "Still, it was the least we could have done after everything he and his friends did for all of us."

"I never needed help in the first place." Grimmjow said. "I was under your power in the first place, and I never really liked that carrot top."

"Sure." Nel said as she thought differently. "Funny thing... I released you from my power before the ceremony, and yet you still took a big risk to help us out." She said as she thinks there's something else with Grimmjow. "Why exactly are you going with me now?"

"I... I just happen to be going in the same direction as you." Grimmjow claimed, but he was blushing and Nel could see things differently. That was when Nel surprised him by pushing him around a corner that no one was around and had his back pressed against the wall. She gave him another surprise as she actually kissed him without the use of her powers. It seems like love is in the air now.

Ichigo

Ichigo kept trying to talk to Orihime. He kept trying to restore her memories by talking to her or giving back the diary. However, Orihime isn't willing to talk because she seems a little shy and nervous. That wasn't going to stop Ichigo. He followed her to a classroom and saw her talking to a teacher about something.

'Come on, Orihime. I know the real you is in there.' Ichigo thought as he just believes that in his heart.

"Well, I hope you enjoy the rest of the festival, Orihime." The teacher said.

"I won't. I... I think I'm just gonna...head home." Orihime said.

"Oh? Why not? You came all this way just to deliver some papers? Why not enjoy the festival going on?" The teacher said.

"It doesn't matter. I've been considering transferring schools." Orihime claimed. Ichigo overheard that part and couldn't believe it. She was seriously considering transferring schools? If that happens, they might not be able to see her again.

...

Renji and Rukia

"Any news yet about Orihime?" Rukia asked as the two of them sat on a bench and tried to enjoy the festival themselves.

"Not yet. It's not easy when Orihime has no idea who we even are." Renji said. "I don't get it. Orihime gave Ichigo a chance when she forgot him before. What's different?"

"What's different is that it's not just Ichigo she forgot. Last time, she remembered the rest of us." Rukia said. "She still had Tatsuki, us, and others. As far she knows, she doesn't anymore." That does seem like it's hard for Orihime to not know her friends. "I can't imagine what Ichigo must be going through. I can tell he really loves her. Why else would he be going through all of this?"

"Believe me, it's not easy seeing the girl you love and not being able to talk to her." Renji said. He knows because he's sitting right next to the girl that made him feel like that. "Rukia, I never got a clear answer as to why you did it."

"Did what?" Rukia questioned.

"As to why you switched bodies with Ichigo on our date." Renji said. "Why did you do it? Was... Was going on a date with me really that bad?"

"Renji... I... I'm sorry." Rukia said as she did feel bad about that. "I just had no idea you would have wanted to date me before. I... I guess I just got scared and panicked." She admitted. It wasn't easy for her to go through with it back then, but at least she's being honest about it now. "We've known each other for a long time, but I had no idea you felt that way about me. I guess I just got little scared and didn't know what to think."

"You could have just been honest with me. You could have given me a chance." Renji said. "I mean... Seriously! I thought I was with you, but it turned out I was on a date with Ichigo and actually kissed him in your body! Do you know how messed up that seemed?"

"Again, I'm sorry." Rukia said. "Why did we lose touch for a while? Why did it seem like you just stopped talking to me?"

"Well... I thought... I thought maybe I wasn't good enough." Renji admitted. "You became part of some wealthy family when you went to live with Byakuya Kuchiki. You even took his last name. I wanted to ask you out before, but I begin to think...I wasn't good enough for you."

"What? Renji, you know that doesn't matter to me." Rukia said.

"It did to me. I was living on the streets and struggled to find food until I met you." Renji admitted. "I'm not as fortunate as you, just the opposite. I didn't want to lose touch, but it seemed like we were in different worlds. Despite that, I wanted to try something. I just didn't know how. That's why when Ichigo came and asked for my help, I saw an opportunity and took it." Rukia had no idea that's how Renji saw things, but he still held something for her and wanted to change it. He just didn't think he was worthy of her yet, but Rukia thought differently as she actually gave him a peck on the cheek.

"Like I said, it didn't matter to me." Rukia said with her smiling and Renji blushing.

"Guys! Problem!" Uryu shouted as he and Chad came running to them.

"Hey! I thought you two had to work on our stand!" Rukia said.

"Ichigo just told us that Orihime is thinking of transferring schools!" Chad said.

"What?!" Rukia said as none of them liked that idea. "What is that idiot doing?! Hasn't he brought our Orihime back?"

"Hey! There she is!" Renji said as they spotted Orihime, but it looked like she was leaving.

"If she leaves, she might not get her real memories back, but how do we convince her to stay?" Uryu questioned as none of them knew what to do as Orihime left through the entrance and was on her way out. That wasn't stopping Ichigo.

"Hey! Wait!" Ichigo called as he chased after her. He caught up with her as the others watched from the gateway. "You're leaving already? Aren't you going to stay and enjoy the festival?"

"Thank you, but I'm okay." Orihime said.

"But you're a student here. This is one of the few things that makes this school fun." Ichigo said. "You should stay and just enjoy it." He offered, but Orihime was hesitant to take that offer.

"No. I should go." Orihime said as she tried to leave. All of them are thinking that Ichigo better try something or they'll lose her and none of them want that. Ichigo tried being nice about this and wasn't getting anywhere. That's when he realized something. Orihime doesn't like him being so nice and bashful...she likes it when he's him. The memories are gone, but not the feelings.

"What's wrong with you?" Ichigo said. "A fun festival is going on and you don't want to enjoy it? What's wrong? No friends?" He said as he was being direct. The others thought he was being stupid, but he did get Orihime's attention. "You may not remember me, but I remember you. You came in my family's clinic carrying your dying brother."

"My brother?!" Orihime said as she was surprised he knew him. "You know Sora?"

"Not exactly, but I do remember that day." Ichigo said. "I take it things haven't been easy since he died, has it? Well, I'm betting your brother would want you to live and be happy with people that care about you, but it sounds like you're not doing that. I do understand because I lost my mother, but I tried to live for her. You need to do the same for your brother. Show him you're doing well. I also know you're thinking of transferring schools, but it sounds like you're trying to run from your problems when you can't really do that. For someone so smart, you're acting a little dumb." He said and scowled like he usually does. That caused Orihime to start laughing.

"I'm sorry. I don't mean to laugh, but that face is funny." Orihime said, but Ichigo is glad to see that.

"He's being too direct. What is that idiot doing?" Rukia said as they didn't get it, but Uryu realized the truth.

"Wait! Ichigo told me that something like this happened when they first met! It's triggering something in Orihime!" Uryu said and he was right. He's being direct and honest with the situation and it's going the same way it did with Orihime on that day.

"I don't know why, but I feel at ease around you. Still, I don't remember you. Who are you?" Orihime said.

"It's Ichigo." He said as he cupped her face. "Maybe this will help you remember." Ichigo just went for it and kissed her. Orihime was stunned that he actually did that, but it appears to be doing something to her. Once he stopped, he pulled away and see how she would react now.

"Ichigo... I remember!" Orihime said.

"You do?!" Ichigo said as he couldn't believe it. It really worked.

"I do! I remember everything!" Orihime said as it was some miracle that Orihime's real memories came back. "But we didn't switch bodies. The witch powers are we really gone."

"That's not why I did it." Ichigo said to be a little more clear and kissed her again. Orihime was still stunned, but she finally understood as she placed one hand around his head and another on his shoulder. Now they can kiss without switching bodies. Nothing can really prevent them from being together anymore. The others were so happy for those two now.

"Hey! Come on, you two!" Uryu called to them. "Let's get back to the club!" All of them liked the sound of that as they were walking back to the place they belonged. As they were walking, Ichigo grabbed a hold of Orihime's hand. In the end, Orihime got what she wished for even with the witch powers gone. It was almost like something force greater than the witch powers brought them together. The same with the others. The witch powers might have aided in their problems, but they themselves changed all of their problems and found people who really accepted each of them. People are being with the ones they want to be with, Ichigo found people who accepted him, and Orihime no longer feels alone. They'll all be together for a long time.
