Part 11
Sydney was at her desk reading the email from Serena.
"Hey Syd, as of two days ago I am now Graves handler." Said Weiss sitting down at her desk.
"That makes this easier. I so didn't want to work on this with Lambert. He is a creep." Said Sydney
"The question is how much do you want reveal about what we know about Julia Thorne?"
"We need to be honest about it. Unfortunately I still remember nothing about those two years. I will get in touch with Kendell and see if he can give me any more information about my time living as Julia. Not that I am going to enjoy it. Use whatever your protocol is to meet at the warehouse with Steven."
"I use the same code as you do with Serena. It makes it easier."
"The question is what do we do about Quinn? We can't just hand him over to Lentz."
"I know. Wait Syd, I have an idea. We fake his death."
"That could work. Wait I think I know where you are going. Julia Thorne comes out of hiding to make sure Quinn doesn't betray her."
"Are you up for it? I mean if Dixon approves."
"I don't see how I have much of a choice. We can't send someone else in as Julia. Quinn knows what she looks like. I guess I am going to need a wig."
"I guess you will. Unless you want to dye it."
"Not happening Weiss. I dyed it that bozo red then dyed it back to normal. Never doing that again. Besides Vaughn will kill you if I did. Because I would tell him it was your idea."
"Ok. We'll get you a wig."
"Good idea."
They talked about the counter and went to Dixson and he approved them bringing in Quinn and faking his death to do it. At five fifteen Sydney and Weiss waited in the warehouse for Steven and Serena. They arrived a few minutes later.
"Hi guys." Said Sydney
"So what is the plan? I know we sure as hell aren't going to take Quinn to Lentz to use to find that artifact or an assassin that has dropped off the map." Said Steven
"He would never find Julia Thorne no matter how hard he tried. She no longer exists." Said Weiss
"How do you know that?" asked Serena
"Because I was Julia Thorne." Said Sydney
"What?" asked Steven and Serena
"I have two years of my life I don't remember. What I do know about that time is I was kidnapped by the Covenant and they tried to brainwash me. But do to something my father did on me as a kid a failsafe was placed in my brain to prevent brainwashing. Before you ask the Covenant faked my death to make sure no one looked for me." Said Sydney
"Then why don't you remember those two years?" asked Steven
"I had my memory erased. I had some of it restored. But it was too dangerous for me to do any more. It could have killed me. Just going to the scientist to try ended up getting him killed." Said Sydney
"So what is the plan with Quinn?" asked Serena
"We are going to fake his death at the hands of Julia Thorne." Said Weiss
"Weiss and I are going to join you in Belfast. Weiss will hack into the security cameras and the three of us will have a talk with Quinn. Then after we convince him to go along with our plan you two will leave until after Julia "kills" him. You will catch me leaving which means, I am going to have to beat you up a little." Said Sydney
"Just so scares and try not to break my nose. Serena's mom is kind of over protective at times." Said Steven
"More like there is some girl you want to get to go out with you." Said Serena rolling her eyes.
"I am not seeing anyone. I haven't for a while. I am not going to put anyone in that kind of danger. I saw pictures of what Lentz had done to Josh." Said Steven
"You never liked Josh."
"But I love you. Rena weather you like it or not you are part of my family, and I want you to be happy." Said Steven
"I won't be until Lentz pays for what he has done." Said Serena
"Serena, I understand better than anyone what you are feeling. But right now Lentz is just an arm of the monster. The Pack as a whole is the monster we want to kill. It is not going to be done in just a few weeks or months. It is going to take time." Said Sydney
"I know." Said Serena
"Before I forget. Lentz is going to order everyone to take a functional image test." Said Steven
"What is that?" asked Weiss
"A type of lie detector test. Hard to fool but not impossible. I took one not long after I became a double agent at SD-6. I can help prepare both of you if need be." Said Sydney
"After we get back from this mission. Lentz still needs to get the guy to come in from whatever rock he has been hiding under since the take down of the Alliance." Said Steven
"Karl Dreyer?" asked Sydney
"Yeah. You know him?" asked Steven
"Yes. He gave me the test ten years ago. He is kind of scary. Reminds me of a horror movie killer." Said Sydney
"Great I hate horror movies." Mumbled Serena
"That is because you didn't sleep for two weeks after you saw Friday the 13th at summer camp when you were seven. One of the older boys snuck in." said Steven
"You and your buddies didn't help doing those horror movie marathons every time our parents went out."
"I like horror movies."
"Uh don't you two have to get to the airport? Agent Bristow will meet you in the alley next to the building thirty minutes before you are suppose to go in. She will go in first and convince Quinn that they need to fake his death. But of course she won't tell him he is going to be taken into CIA custody after." Said Weiss
"See you in Belfast." Said Steven
The two younger agents headed out. Weiss smiled at Sydney.
"If I didn't know better I would think they were really brother and sister not just step." Said Weiss
"Just because they are siblings by blood does not mean they don't see each other on some level as real brother and sister Eric. Nadia and I only knew each other a little over a year and became close. Besides I think of you as that annoying brother I always wanted. You are family to me Eric."
"Thanks Syd. I think of you as a sister too."
