Chapter 6

It was late in the afternoon when Leo managed his way silently to his supposed location. There were only a couple people there next to a helicopter one of them was Lazar. The man Leo had met the other night who had given Leo his strange invitation. Next to him was a much taller man with white hair, blue eyes and wore a white coat, tail jacket, white shirt and pants. His hands were gloved; Leo was using holographic technology to get a better look at them. He was clearly a very fit man and his Momentum aura was one of anger and power. It was the strongest amount of Momentum Leo had ever felt since arriving in this strange place some 3 months ago. Two men stood behind the man next to the chopper who Leo presumed were bodyguards for whoever had sought his attention. But one individual caught Leo's attention; it was a man wearing a helmet while sitting on top of a Duel Runner. Which Leo assumed would be his dueling opponent. "Kuri?" Kuriboh asked as he appeared right next to Leo.

"Surveying the area," Leo said. "Seeing who my opponent is and if this thing is a trap."

"Kurii? Kuriiii? Kuri?" Kuriboh asked which Leo could only chuckle lighty, but not enough to have his current location discovered.

"I know that Kuriboh," Leo said. "But we need to figure out a way to get over the ocean. We don't have enough Momentum to just fly across so this is our best chance besides based on how many duels I've had. This won't be difficult." Leo said confidently Kuriboh looked at him concerned. "And if it's about the tall man's momentum I already know Kuriboh. Something off about it really off. But we need to find out information about this place and this is our best way to do so." Kuriboh kued with uncertainty in his voice, but Leo could only smirk. "Well let's go and meet our friends."

With that Leo clicked his wrist which had a bracelet one that was covered by his wrist. And hide his birthmark; with that his jumpsuit that Leo wore when riding his Runner. With that Leo held out his hand and a blue portal appeared with which Leo slipped into it. A moment later the 12 year old walked out to face the strangers who looked at him a bit mixed and terrified. "What the?" Lazar said, "As I told you director Goodwin our friend would arrive on time. I must admit though I wasn't expecting such an entrance." It was like they had never seen this type of technology before, stuff that Leo was used to using in Chalice Town. He knew he was in Japan, but why did it appear to be so ancient? 21 century-esq with their attitudes and behaviors it was a puzzling piece of reality Leo had slowly begun to pick up on. "How nice of you to join us? I see you decided to accept our invitation."

"That is enough Lazar," the mysterious man said. "Welcome Ghost from the Satellite. I am Director Goodwin of Sector Security. Leader of New Domino City you've gained quite the reputation across the city. I see that you have accepted my invitation to join us for a special job opportunity." Director Goodwin said with a smile of a show-man whatever his real intentions were Leo knew not to trust this man.

"And what in it for me?" Leo asked.

"Whatever you want once this job is…complete," Director Goodwin said.

"What type of job?"

Goodwin thought a moment before saying anything, "For a dueling assassin more would be discussed, but first I want a demonstration of your skills. This man will be your opponent."

"Then you'll tell me about this job offer?" Leo asked.

"Of course," Director Goodwin said. "Presuming that your skills are adequate enough to match your reputation…"

Leo and his mysterious opponent had finally agreed to a duel. It had taken a while, but Leo finally gave in to face his opponent. The man who he was supposed to duel was very arrogant, but the two had agreed to a normal duel. With that Leo took his position hopefully this idiot would match his skills. "Duel!" Both of them shouted this was Leo's chance to get out of the Satellite. It had taken him quite a few minutes to accept the fact he was in the home of the King of Turbo Dueling and the Legendary Warrior. The two of them took opposite sides as from Leo's hand a virtual duel disk appeared. From his bracelet filled to the brim with useful things that were essential for everyday life. His opponent had decided to use the old school style of physical cards and duel disk.

Leo: 4000lp vs ?: 4000lp -Turn 1 -Leo

"My move!" Leo said as he looked at his hand as the 5 cards appeared in front of him. A smirk crossed his face as he looked over at his opponent. Director Goodwin and Lazar stood there. "Since its my 1st turn I banish the card Invincible Silence, on my 1st turn I can remove this field spell from my deck and by doing so I must banish one card from my deck every turn." With that Leo banished one of his cards and above him appeared a giant one. Banishment counters: 1. "And with that I summon Psychogenic Kuriboh in defense mode!"

"Kuriii!" Kuriboh shouted. Psychogenic Kuriboh lvl 1 dark fiend/effect monster with 300atk/200 def.

"With that I end my turn and upon my and activate Kuirboh's special ability. Which allows me to remove 1 card from the top of my deck. Give me 2 banishment counters."

"Very well my turn," his opponent said.

"I'll start by placing 3 cards face down," Leo looked at the man. Why did these people always play the game so slowly? "With that I summon Assault Dog in attack mode." A metal dog appeared. Assault Dog a level 4 earth/beast/effect with 1200atk/800def. With that Leo looked over at the holographic display that appeared in front of him reading over the cards ability. It was not a very useful card as it didn't' help acquire attack points fast enough. "Now then attack that annoying furball! And send it to scrapyard."

"This guy is not very bright," Leo commented to Kuriboh. "Fine then upon your decoration of attack! I activate my Kuriboh's special ability and banish the top card from my deck. Officially giving me 2 banishment counters!" Leo said as the number 2 appeared in bolded letters.

"What? How is-"

"Let me show you," Leo shouted. "From the banishment zone I activate my trap card. Condonation of sin! See this card can only be played from outside the game allowing me to remove my entire side deck from the game, officially giving me 17 banishment counters. And with that I chain it to activate another card from beyond the game. Shallament of Sorrows. This card has many effects, but to make it simple this little trap card gives one monster on my field attack equal to one monster in my deck. And I have the perfect monster Kurbioh now!" Kurbioh flew into the air as a white aura filled his partner's body. Kuriboh 300atk to 4800atk. "Now then battle that pathetic dog and teach this idiot how to battle."

"Kurriii!" Kuriboh charged the man Assault Dog.

"Then I activate the secondary effect of my Shallament of Sorrows. Which allows me to banish 2 more cards and return all banished cards back to the game." Leo shouted proudly.

18 banishment counters to 20 banishment counters.

"What?" His opponent said as Kuriboh was a towering monster and none of his cards. "I-I-I-"

"My draw!" Leo shouted.

Leo: 4000lp vs ?: 200lp -20 banishment counters Turn 3.

"Kuriboh finish this duel and end this idiot!" The man blinked as he really buffed Kuriboh flew towards the man.

?: 200 to 0 lp

"How?" The man said confused.

With that Goodwin who had been quiet the entire duel finally spoke up clapping lightly. "I must say that is quite impressive. You are the man I am looking to assist me as a dueling assassin. If you'd like I'd prefer to talk in a more private location."

Leo looked at the man Lifestream dragon appeared behind him. "Look I don't trust him either, but in this circumstance it's the best offer we got." Goodwin looked at him mildly confused, "I accept your offer Goodwin… I'd too like some answers as well."

"Then we shall see it soon come along then," with that Director Goodwin turned towards the copter and Leo hesitantly followed suit.
