Fairy smiled at the sight of the sun rising. Even under the protection of invisibility magic, she hated flying about at night. The threat of nature's nocturnal predators were nothing compared to the horrors she witnessed in the castle, but she knew a chance encounter with a large bat or perceptive owl could still spell disaster for her.

That reason alone is why the familiar sight of Dora Woods' jagged treeline brought her a sense of relief. She had been flying tirelessly for days, her tiny form still invisible from the effects of a magic potion that was finally beginning to wane. She knew she had plenty of time to make it back to her master before the illusion wore off, but she dreaded that she had no good news to share with the saddened dhampir who awaited her.

When her eyes fell upon the river below she noticed something odd. The sight of someone making a series of gravity-defying leaps over the deep waters gave her pause and piqued her curiosity.

"Hmmm," she muttered quietly. "What is that?!"

###

Richter flung his whip through the air to latch onto one of the partially intact support beams of the dilapidated bridge. He pulled on the elongated chain of the weapon and used the momentum to make his final descent toward muddy earth below. He landed safely in a crouch and then stood up to look back over the wide swath of water at his traveling companion.

The priest remained still with his arms folded over his chest. Though he was too distant for Richter to read his expression, the hunter suddenly wondered if the clergyman actually had the means or even the intention of crossing.

Try as he might, Richter could not deny he had already grown used to Nelu's company. He even found himself reflecting on much of what the priest had shared with him. And although that man was admittedly odd, Richter found his presence to be comforting and supportive. He was not prepared to part ways with him- at least not yet.

"I'm waiting!"

Despite his best efforts, Richter's voice then began to waver with desperation.

"Please, you mustn't leave yet- If I have to face him alone…"

Then, as if animated by Richter's plea, Nelu began to move. Initially his pace was slow and deliberate, but as he neared the edge of the moving waters he began to step more briskly.

For several long minutes, Belmont stood in silence. He remained still as he observed the spectacle of Nelu walking atop the flowing depths as if it were simply earth beneath his feet.

When the clergyman finally reached him, Richter could not help but glare at him with renewed skepticism.

"No doubt you will claim that was just another blessing," the hunter mused aloud. "But your display of power has now made your mastery of magic obvious, Father."

Nelu shrugged his shoulders and smiled.

"Your manner of crossing was also extraordinary."

Instead of pressing the priest for answers, Richter became distracted when he felt the hair on the back of his neck suddenly stand on end. He tilted his head to glance up at the top of the nearby trees. His eyes narrowed with suspicion as his instincts suggested something out of the ordinary lurked nearby.

"I think we are being watched," he muttered quietly. "Not by the eyes of man or beast- but by something magical..."

Nelu closed his eyes and took deep breath.

"I feel it too," he whispered. "There is indeed a presence above us- but I sense no evil from it."

"Strange," Richter grumbled as he slowly began to relax. "Perhaps it is just some residual woodland spirit anchored to this place?"

"Entirely possible," Nelu conceded. "Much of this area has been subjected to curses in the past."

The hunter shook his head and began to walk away from the river.

"Come," he said, motioning for the priest to follow. "Let us continue on and pay it no heed unless it follows."

###

"It is time for you to return to your homeland," Alucard grumbled. "Once you are safely back in your enchanted realm, I will find a tomb and resume my rest."

"But," Fairy fumbled desperately, "master you need to hear-"

Alucard waved his hand to shush the tiny creature and continued to speak over her.

"A couple of nights ago I began to slip again," he raged. "For the sake of the innocent I must retreat into exile again or the next human I encounter that arouses my curiosity may die at my hands!"

"You're being too dramatic," Fairy fumed. "You speak as though you are a mere animal unable to control your hunger and hormones."

"Indeed I am no animal," Alucard shouted. "I am a monster- just like my father!"

With a furious flurry of her delicate wings, fairy dove in close to her master's face and kicked him on the tip of the nose.

"Shut up!"

Alucard stumbled a few steps and brought his hand to his nose. Fairy's physical outburst had taken him completely by surprise and, for the moment, he found himself at a loss for words.

"Finally," she said. "Now, as I was trying to say, there is something you need to hear- it's about… him…"

The half-blood's eyes widened.

"Richter?" he asked incredulously.

Fairy folded her arms over her chest.

"Yes," she huffed. "He's already crossed the river and he's heading toward Dora. But…"

Alucard pursed his lips and raised an eyebrow when she suddenly went silent..

"But what?"

The small woman flew over to the nearby table and sat down on the lip of large the ceramic bowl at the center of the dusty wooden surface.

"He's not alone," she sighed. "Well, at least, it's not…"

Fairy paused for a moment and shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't know," she finally finished. "I mean- I don't think he's alone."

The dhampir gave the tiny creature a puzzled look before sitting down on one of the wooden chairs positioned near the cluttered table.

"Explain," he commanded calmly.

The small woman nodded and once again took flight. She buzzed around the nearby kitchen in a frenzy, weaving through the clutter scattered along counter-top like a common housefly.

Alucard watched the small creature with interest.

"What has come over you?"

###

Richter stopped to stretch as they neared the end their trek through the town of Dora without incident. They had been traveling without pause for several days, but now the long hike finally seemed to be catching up to him.

P erhaps Nelu's 'blessing' ha s finally run its course?

Regardless, the weather had been fair and no one had taken notice of them. But although the final leg of the journey had proven uneventful, Richter still found himself on edge and preoccupied with his plans to confront Alucard.

"It's nearly time," he breathed as he turned to the priest who had fallen a step behind. "I suppose I should tell you everything, but it is still difficult and…"

Nelu brought a hand to Richter's shoulder and smiled.

"You should confess with a clear and alert mind," he suggested warmly. "It has been too long since you have rested. That inn at the edge of town ahead looks quiet and inviting…"

The hunter nodded and looked to the building up ahead.

"Perhaps you're right," he admitted. "Let us rest for awhile."

###

Alucard could not help but to smirk at the sight of Fairy struggling to stay afloat as she carried a hefty pitcher of water back to the table. With a great deal of effort, she managed to dump the water out of the pitcher and into the large bowl at the center of the table. The clear liquid landed with a spectacular splash and briefly sloshed about the large bowl before settling.

She set the empty pitcher aside and landed to stand on the rim of the large bowl.

Now left utterly clueless by the actions of his familiar, Alucard eyed the tiny creature curiously.

"Dare I even ask what it is are you doing now?"

But Fairy instead ignored her half-blood master and pulled a small vial from the hidden chain she wore around her neck. Moments later she opened it and dumped the glowing blue liquid from within it into the bowl of water on the table.

"Just watch," she quipped.

The contents of the bowl began to shimmer and glow as the water mixed with the contents of the vial. Tiny bubbles came to the surface and magic began to run its course. Then, when the water finally calmed, an image appeared atop its surface.

"Remarkable," Alucard gasped. "I see you have been learning much in your spare time."

Fairy nodded her head and stared into the water as the image began to move.

"This is what I saw," she explained quietly.

Alucard was transfixed to the mystic pool before him. His eyes went wide as he took in the images of Richter weaving through the air above the river with an impressive display of acrobatics.

"That crossing," he breathed anxiously, "it cannot be more than a day's march from here…"

Fairy nodded her head as she watched her master intently. When Alucard suddenly snapped up from his seat however, she nearly fell into the bowl.

"Wait," the dhampir demanded as he pointed at the enchanted image. "It looks like he is talking to someone! What is he saying? Why can we not hear him?!"

Fairy managed to save herself from potential embarrassment and disaster by taking flight again.

"Seriously," she shrieked. "I'm not some enchantress-queen! This is the best I can do!"

Alucard immediately felt guilty when confronted by her defensive demeanor.

"I apologize," he offered sincerely. "You said you saw no one with him, but did you hear anyone else?"

Fairy scratched her head and pondered for a moment.

"Nope."

The half-blood cocked his head when he caught a glimpse of something strange in the enchanted pool. He again pointed at the watery display to draw Fairy's attention to it.

"There," he announced abruptly. "For a moment there was a flash; A hint of something moving over the water toward him. Did you see it?"

Fairy squinted for a moment but soon gave up.

"Now you're just being paranoid," she sighed. "I saw no one else near the water. But, alone or not, what are you going to do when he finds his way back here?"

The simple question caused Alucard to suddenly stir. There was no denying he was anxious, but did he dare permit himself to be optimistic? Did Richter even intend to meet with him, or was the hunter merely passing through the area?

With his emotions driving his mind into a thousand different directions, he now found it difficult to put his thoughts into words.

"I… I do not know."

Sensing her master's unease, Fairy flew up and sat on his shoulder. She knew from experience it was nearly impossible to coax her half-blood master out of his brooding, but she still desperately wanted him to find happiness or, at the very least, closure with Richter.

"You need to figure this out on your own," she suggested. "Perhaps you should send me home now?"

Alucard blinked and turned to the small sprite sitting comfortably on his shoulder.

"Not just yet," he replied softly. "There is one more thing I need you to do. But worry not; it is completely unrelated to this..."

###

Richter kicked off his boots and sank down onto the bed. He smiled appreciatively as his body relaxed on the soft material. He hadn't had the patience to slip out of his clothes or even properly prepare himself for bed. Besides, he doubted he even had enough time to properly clean and dry his garments anyhow.

It had been many months since he had slept atop a mattress, but in his current state Richter knew he wouldn't have had much difficulty falling asleep just about anywhere.

He lifted his head and watched Father Nelu approach the foot of the bed.

"I recall our talk near the river," the priest began somewhat hesitantly. "I believe you expressed concern about facing him alone…"

Richter lowered his head back into the pillow and closed his eyes. He had little doubt that Nelu's judgmental stare would soon be upon him.

"Your memory is sharp," he sighed. "You were right about me father; I have many secrets."

Nelu folded his arms over his chest and slowly sat down on the foot of the bed near Belmont's feet. When the younger man chanced to open his eyes again, the clergyman offered a reassuring smile.

"I have already seen the secrets your guard so closely," he explained softly, "and I will not condemn you or the half-blooded man you care for..."

Richter found comfort in the words and felt his heart begin to slow. Under normal circumstances, he would find this man's power to see into his soul unsettling. However, the fact that Nelu knew his buried truths left Richter feeling liberated that someone still accepted him.

"Thank you," he managed, his eyes becoming wet. "For everything."

The priest nodded and stood up from the bed. With his back to Richter he lowered his head and began to speak in a more serious tone.

"After this is over, please understand that it would be best we not cross paths again, my young friend."

The statement left Richter puzzled and he forced himself to sit up.

"Why is that?"

Nelu turned to face the younger man and managed a sad smile.

"Politics and religion are often ugly and unforgiving," he began grimly. "Perhaps, one day, mankind will step away from such prejudice- but for now…"

Richter slowly began to nod.

"I understand."

"Rest now," Nelu advised. "Tomorrow promises to be significant for you."

"You're still a very strange priest," Belmont mumbled as he sank back down onto the bed.

Nelu smirked as he watched the hunter get comfortable and begin to doze off. He waited until he was certain Richter had fallen asleep before whispering his final reply.

"I will leave you now, Richter Belmont. Perhaps one day you will understand..."

###

The sounds of people conversing as they started their daily routines echoed from the main floor of the inn below. The sustained chatter eventually roused Richter who had, at long last, gotten a full night of uninterrupted sleep. The hunter moved to the edge of the bed and took a moment to stretch his arms and back. He couldn't recall the last time he had slept so well.

It wasn't long before Belmont realized he was alone in the room. There was no sign of his traveling companion.

"Oh well," Richter shrugged. "Perhaps he is waiting downstairs?"

After a few minutes, he managed to gather his things and pull his boots back on. The hunter gave himself a brief inspection in the mirror- his hair was a mess and his jacket was quite wrinkled. Indeed it did look like he had slept in his clothes and not had a proper bath in recent days- but at least he no longer appeared tired and devoid of energy.

Belmont did his best to neaten his hair and smooth the folds out of his clothing. Once satisfied with his appearance he emerged from the room and made his way down to the main floor of the inn.

His eyes wandered over the patrons present in the dining area until falling on the aged innkeeper slumped behind the bar.

"Excuse me," Richter said politely as he approached the innkeeper. "The man accompanying me when I checked in yesterday- have you seen him this morning?"

The innkeeper stroked his furrowed brow as he spoke.

"Did you have too much to drink last night? I remember when you checked in, but you were alone."

Richter rolled his eyes and brought his hands up to rest on atop the bar. Perhaps the innkeeper had mistaken him for someone else?

"Think harder," the hunter pressed in a more serious tone. "The man I was with was from the church; I find it unlikely you failed to notice him."

The older man held up his hands and took a step away from the bar.

"Really sir," he tried to reason calmly, "I haven't seen anyone like that since I went to church weeks ago! You checked in by yourself and that's all there is to it… except…"

Richter's eyes narrowed and he cocked his head. This man was beginning to try his patience.

"Except what?"

The innkeeper reached below the counter and retrieved an envelope. Richter's room number was written on the front of it and a red wax seal stamped with a cross adorned the back.

"In the wee hours of the morning," the bearded man explained, "a young lady delivered this and asked me to give it to you when you left. It was rather unusual."

"Wait," Richter stammered and shook his head. "What young lady? What was her name? What did she want?"

The man behind the counter shrugged.

"She didn't leave a name," he explained. "She showed up, hood over her head, before dawn. She was polite- but sounded sad. I was just asked to give this letter to you. I remember going to set it under the counter to keep it safe, but when I looked back up she was already gone."

Belmont remained skeptical but accepted the explanation and took the letter.

"I've heard enough," he said sternly. "Here are the room keys. Good day to you."

Richter made his way briskly through the town of Dora but found no sign of Father Nelu. He clutched the letter the innkeeper had given him tightly in his hand as if it were a precious keepsake, yet he hesitated to open it. With no leads on the whereabouts of the mysterious priest to follow, he strayed from the traveled path once he reached the edge of town and finally decided to break the seal of the envelope.

The hunter's gaze saddened as he read the contents of the immaculately scribed letter.

Good morning,

Our journey ends in a new beginning for you. Should you find yourself lost again and unable to see the light, trust in your heart instead.

You should not think of me as an agent of the church. Instead, imagine me to be the echo of one shouting from another plane.

It is indeed very difficult to explain using only words. Even if you cannot make sense of what I have written now I hope that, one day, you will understand.

Remember; it is for the best we not cross paths again. No matter the circumstances- if you spot one you believe to be me, it is imperative that you keep your distance.

Tell the one waiting for you that neither of you need ever face your fears alone again. As long as you are together, you can can draw strength from each-other.

I wish you well.

Richter carefully refolded the letter and slipped it back into the envelope. He tucked the farewell note into the folds of his jacket and turned to face the woods ahead of him. It was still very early, and he suspected that the morning wasn't about to get any less significant.

"I will tell him," he mumbled quietly. "Will he still listen?"

###

Alucard closed his eyes as he took in the feeling of the cool morning breeze blowing against his exposed face. He was standing in the middle of the garden, which had taken on a life of its own due to his neglect. Soon after Richter had left, the dhampir had tried to occupy himself by tending to the small project Belmont had often spoken about with enthusiasm. But as the weeks and months of solitude dragged on, Alucard gradually lost the ambition to tend to the flowers and plants. Nature had begun to run its course on the small garden plot, though the scattered flowers and overgrown grass were not without beauty.

The half-blood's eyelids suddenly snapped open when he caught a familiar scent upon the wind. His golden gaze frantically darted around, scouring the nearby landscape as he tried to determine the source of the odor. To him, this scent was unmistakable and unforgettable- it had to be Richter.

When his gaze fell upon a lone figure slowly heading up the nearby forest path, Alucard felt his heart begin to race. His instincts had been correct. He remained still, almost afraid to move for fear it would scare off the man he had become obsessed with.

"Richter," he breathed into the wind.

The vampire hunter came to a stop once he got within 10 feet of Alucard. He had imagined how this meeting would unfold many times over the past few weeks. Yet despite frequently daydreaming about this reunion, Richter now found it difficult to just to greet the dhampir.

"Alucard," he finally managed. "It has been quite some time…"

The dhampir's eyes were transfixed to the human who was now nearly within arm's reach. He watched Richter's lips move with every word and syllable and found it comforting just to hear the younger man's voice again.

"I would argue it has been far too long," he offered sincerely and dared to step closer. "Since you left I have come to deeply regret losing your trust, Richter."

Encouraged when Belmont did not back away, Alucard found the courage to take another cautious step forward.

"I have come to accept that you were right about me," the half-blood continued. "In many ways that matter, I suppose am no different than my father."

Richter's eyes widened when the confession reached his ears. For the first time in months Alucard was now finally within his reach. All he had to do was reach out and he would be able to, at long last, touch the other man. He so badly wanted to lose just himself in Alucard's embrace that it was becoming difficult to remain focused on what the half-blood was even saying.

Richter forced himself to swallow the dry lump that had formed in his throat. The dhampir had already started to talk again- no doubt spewing forth more dramatic examples of how much Richter mattered to him. For the moment however, the hunter didn't want to hear any of it. He boldly leaned forward to rest his forehead against Alucard's shoulder. The unexpected action proved immediately effective in silencing the half-blood.

"Stop," he whispered against the folds of Alucard's shirt. "Please, just hold me."

Alucard took a deep breath; He had spent many sleepless nights carefully considering what he would to say to the human at this critical moment. But, with the utterance of four simple words, Richter had made the entire ordeal seem nearly irrelevant.

"Very well," the dhampir nodded. One of his hands moved up to cradle the back of the younger man's head as he pulled him closer. His other hand came to rest on Richter's lower back. As the man he held began to sob quietly against his shoulder, Alucard tightened his grip and brought his lips to Belmont's ear.

"Richter," he said in a soothing whisper. "I am so very sorry."

Alucard closed his eyes and slowly ran his fingers through Richter's hair. Fate had been kind enough to reunite them, but it seemed he could not find the words to adequately convey how he felt about this exceptional human. So, for several long minutes, he was content just to hold the hunter in a loving embrace. The cool morning breeze cut through the air with a bitter chill, but both men were too fixated on each-other to even notice.

After some time Richter's breathing steadied and he found his voice again.

"Let us discuss it another time," he sighed. "Right now, will you just agree to stay with me for a few days?"

Alucard's expression turned serious. He pulled back and stared into the glassy blue depths of Richter's eyes. The hunter hid his fear well- but he could still sense it within the human's soul.

"I wish to stay with you always," the dhampir confessed. "To be with you for only a few days will not be enough..."

Richter bit his lip and managed to nod. Encouraged by the gesture, Alucard gently took hold of Belmont's chin and brought their lips together.

With cautious and gentle movements, they wound their arms tightly around each-other. With their gazes locked the two men began to kiss each-other with more confidence and passion. Soon their tongues became entangled in a slow dance, and it was then that Alucard forced himself to pull away.

"Let us go inside," he offered with a gesture toward the front door of the cabin. "I have high hopes that this can still be our home..."

###

As soon as the front door closed behind them, both men reached impatiently for each-other and resumed kissing. Many long, lonely nights of suppressed urges boiled up from deep within each of them and began to give way to a reckless and unrestrained display of passion and lust.

They gradually made their way through the small home, their hands and lips all over each-other until they arrived in the bedroom that they had once shared. Alucard finally managed to break his lips away long enough to rid Richter of his coat and shirt.

The hunter replied in kind and the dhampir's own cape and white shirt soon joined the discarded clothing on the cabin floor.

After a few more hurried motions both of them finally stood completely bare to the other. Richter felt a blush warm his face when he noticed Alucard's golden eyes on him. He distracted himself by admiring the dhampir's milky skin and his own gaze inevitably came to rest on the half-blood's manhood.

Belmont swallowed anxiously at the sight- Alucard was fully hard. Knowing that he had already provoked such arousal within the dhampir made his body hot with sexual excitement.

"Richter," Alucard breathed as he brought his cool lips to the smooth flesh of the human's throat. "I have missed you more than you can know."

Richter shivered at the feeling of those lips on his skin. When Alucard's hands began to move along his smooth chest and tight stomach his body leaned into the touch. He wanted the half-blood to touch him everywhere- to explore all of his flesh and then take him just like he used to before they had parted ways. But the current state of his appearance made him self-conscious and gave him pause.

"Perhaps we should wait," Belmont breathed, "I haven't bathed in quite some time and-"

Alucard stepped in to get as close as possible to the younger man.

"I do not care," he said impatiently. "We can bathe together later."

As their bare chests came together Alucard could feel Richter's pounding heart against his own body. He seized the younger man's lips in another impatient kiss. The human grunted against his lips but offered no resistance when pulled onto the bed.

The hunter let himself be coaxed down and ended up with his back atop the mattress. When Alucard's teeth gently grazed the soft, sensitive skin on his neck, Richter's body grew eager for the half-blood to explore it.

He shuddered at the feeling of those cool palms and fingertips exploring his chest, abdomen, and thighs. The dhampir elicited goosebumps from his skin wherever he touched him.

Alucard withdrew and took hold of Richter's left leg. He wrapped his arm around the hunter's inner thigh and pushed the leg up. The motion forced Richter's hips to rise slightly off of the bed which in turn caused the human's cheeks and neck to immediately redden.

Belmont bit his lower lip and waited with bated breath. The position Alucard had put him in left him feeling vulnerable yet deeply aroused. His thighs, penis, and anus were now all easily accessible to the other man. He watched the dhampir settle down onto his right side to better position himself. When he felt the tip of Alucard's hard length brush against the soft, puckered flesh of his anal entrance, Richter closed his eyes and tried to will his body to relax.

Unwilling to ignore his urges any longer, Alucard slowly began to press into the moist heat. The firm globes of Richter's ass clenched as the narrow interior passage constricted around his rigid length. After a few torturous minutes, Belmont's body finally started to readjust to being stuffed and became less tense.

Alucard gradually worked his way into a slow and steady rhythm. He found the sound of Richter's uneven breaths and occasional moans delightful, but it was the scent of the human that truly invigorated him. That intense smell of Belmont's sweaty skin and damp hair deepened Alucard's desire and quickly exhausted his patience.

"W-wait..." Richter struggled when the dhampir began to plunge into him faster.

The penetration was still shallow, but the accelerated pace pushed the sensitive nerves of Belmont's anus into overdrive.

"God, Th-that feels so…so," the hunter fumbled again, "w-wait! Please!"

But the plea fell on deaf ears. For months Alucard had suppressed his desires for the younger man to the point where he was no longer capable of holding back. Even though the slick friction of Richter's tight heat was exquisite, the half-blood still craved more.

Alucard ceased his thrusting and pulled his throbbing length out of Richter. He lowered himself to his knees and brought the hunter's legs to flank his waist on both sides.

Richter's mouth hung open and his breath came in soft, hurried moans. His back was still flat against the bed, but Alucard was now directly over him.

The dhampir seized the back of Belmont's bent knees to hold him steady as he slid back into the human's tight passage.

With his golden eyes glassy and half-closed, Alucard stared down at his human lover and began to churn his hips. Every deep thrust he made into Richter's hole forced a new erotic sound from the hunter's lips.

"Nnn… Alucard," he panted.

Hearing the younger man say his name in such a desperate and sexy voice only heightened Alucard's lust. He wanted this man all to himself- forever. The dhampir could feel the inevitable fast approaching and he welcomed it; Soon he would finally get to cum deep inside of the Richter, but first he wished to push the human over the blissful edge.

Richter tossed his head from side to side as he writhed about anxiously on the bed. He had been reduced to little more than soft whimpers every time Alucard slid into him. With each impatient thrust, the dhampir's hard length caressed that spot inside of Richter's asshole that made the hunter's sweaty body tremble with sinful delight.

The smell of his young lover's sweat and arousal combined with those soft, stifled cries were were taking their toll on Alucard. He knew that if he still wanted to make Richter cum first that he would have to act now.

Richter's eyes went wide when the dhampir reached between his legs and suddenly took hold of his neglected penis.

"Hnnnn," the hunter almost shrieked. "D-don't touch- Ahhh!"

Alucard closed his delicate fingers tightly around Richter's cock and began to stroke it. The warm limb throbbed in his grasp and within moments precum began to ooze from the thick head. After only a few hurried tugs, the stimulation became too much for the younger man to handle.

Richter found himself unprepared for the intensity of his orgasm and almost screamed.

"Ohhh-! Alucard!"

The hunter's hips jolted off of the bed and his legs trembled as his cock erupted and covered Alucard's hand with his cum.

Alucard's cry became trapped in his throat at the sight and sound of his human lover cumming. As he felt Richter's warm semen drip down his hand, the hot walls of the hunter's ass constricted around his cock; It was too much for him.

"Yessss," the dhampir finally growled. "R-Richterrr!"

Belmont could not help but to groan loudly at the unique, pleasant feeling of Alucard's liquid essence filling his insides. As the intense, blinding moments of pleasure that release had brought finally faded, Richter could already feel the dhampir's semen beginning to ooze out him.

When his head returned to earth, Richter noticed that evidence his own spent passion was splattered all over his stomach as well as Alucard's hand. Indeed the half-blood had made quite a mess of him, and soon enough the hunter reasoned that he would have to excuse himself to clean up.

Alucard slipped his softening member from Richter's body and laid down next to the younger man.

"Perhaps we were a bit hasty," he sighed, breaking the silence before it became awkward. "It would seem I could not keep the impulse at bay..."

Richter rolled his eyes as he fought the urge to laugh.

"It's alright," he said, pulling the sheets over their bodies. "I didn't exactly resist the 'impulse' either."

The half-blood closed his eyes and focused on the sound of Richter's breathing. The short, strained breaths were gradually returning to normal and the human's heartbeat had begun to slow as well.

His eyelids fluttered back open as a question suddenly occurred to him.

"Perhaps it is best I not ask this," Alucard began carefully, "but are our physical desires for each-other the cornerstone of our relationship?"

Belmont blinked when the question reached his ears. He turned away from Alucard but brought the back of his body close to snuggle the dhampir.

"For me there is more to it," he said softly. "If I was driven solely by lust, I would've been able to walk away and not felt…"

Alucard raised a curious eyebrow when the human suddenly fell silent.

"Not felt what?"

"Terrified," Richter finally finished solemnly. "I don't know how to else to explain it. It was a constant fear that I'd never see you again…"

The dhampir took comfort from the admission, but knew there was more to the story.

"So it was terror alone that brought you back?"

"No," Belmont bemoaned. "I was in denial. Ironically, it took some strange agent of the church to open my eyes."

"Agent of the church?" Alucard asked, his eyes narrowing.

"A rather bizarre priest," the hunter clarified. "I wandered and eventually found myself back at the house I once shared with Annette…"

"She summoned them," the dhampir deduced gravely. "So... she willingly turned you over to church militants without a second thought?"

"Yes."

"Her actions are unfortunate," Alucard continued, "but I still cannot understand why they let you go and, if I understand correctly, even helped you?"

Richer shook his head and shrugged.

"It's still not entirely clear to me either. Father Nelu was remarkably understanding and proved to be a genuine ally as we traveled."

Alucard went silent and pondered what Fairy had shared with him with prior to Richter's arrival. Something about the younger man's insistence he had a traveling companion troubled him.

"This Nelu," he began cautiously, "did he cross the river with you?"

Richter rolled over so that could face Alucard again. The deep concern behind the dhampir's golden eyes immediately made him anxious.

"Yes," the hunter affirmed. "He had to use magic to cross due to the condition of the bridge, but why does it matter?"

"I am glad you made it safely," Alucard answered calmly. "Forgive me for asking this, but are you certain that you are entirely well Richter? Did you encounter anything else significant or dangerous in your travels?"

Belmont frowned and sighed softly. This line of questioning and the doubt hidden within it was growing tiresome.

"Aside from getting struck by lightening, there's nothing else I care discuss."

Alucard could sense the tension in Richter's voice and decided it would be best to move on and revisit the subject later. Indeed he did have many questions about this man Richter described, but it was a mystery that would have to wait.

"While you were away I also encountered a strange individual," he began again. "A young man of nobility- willing to do anything to save his dying lover. He was cunning and ruthless."

Richter raised an eyebrow.

"What happened?"

"I grew restless in your absence," Alucard grumbled. "I visited the inn, hoping it would distract me from my despair if I observed the humans there. The young man, who later introduced himself as Anton, noticed me there and mistook me for a mercenary."

"He tried to hire you to do something?"

"Murder," Alucard answered, his tone turning cold and serious. "He wanted the father of his lover killed. When I refused he attempted to manipulate me in multiple ways. He skillfully coaxed me into disclosing details of my pain and heartbreak."

Richter's eyes widened at the admission.

"You shared that with a stranger?"

"Yes," Alucard sighed. "Even though it was only for a moment, I still let my guard down. At first, I thought perhaps it was because his attractive appearance reminded me of you…"

The dhampir fell silent and looked away from his younger companion. Richter could tell there was something else; some piece of the puzzle that Alucard struggled to share.

"Are you waiting for me to say something?"

Alucard forced himself to meet Richter's gaze one more.

"I must confess," the dhampir responded somewhat hesitantly, "part of me wanted to use him for pleasure and exploit him in every way I desired. But then..."

Belmont slowly nodded but said nothing. The fact that Alucard had felt the need to interact with anyone in his absence still surprised him.

"But then," Alucard finally explained, "I realized I hated myself for even considering such an action."

The dhampir paused again and reached town to take hold of Richter's hand.

"You see, Richter," he continued, "without you, I despise what I become."

"Alucard," Belmont whispered. He gave the other man's hand a gentle squeeze before leaning forward to place a gentle kiss on the half-blood's lips.

"You're too dramatic," he added as he pulled back. "Still, I must know; What became of this Anton?"

"I am uncertain," Alucard said, shrugging his shoulders. "Eventually, I felt pity for him and sent Fairy to heal his dying lover. If all goes well she should eventually recover."

Richter nodded with approval and rolled back over.

"And here I was rather certain you'd have spent the entirety of my absence brooding in the shadows and hiding from others."

Although that statement left him feeling slightly insulted, Alucard let it pass unchallenged. As he laid there with Richter snuggled firmly against him, he realized he would never be able to let this human go. He promised himself that he would learn from this experience.

"Stay with me," the dhampir breathed softly into Richter's ear. "Please stay with me- forever."

Belmont grinned widely at the sweet, barely audible invitation.

"Let's see what tomorrow brings," he suggested warmly. "Perhaps afterward we can talk about forever."

#Epilogue#

London, 2026AD...

###

Dr. Harrison Gray adjusted his glasses and smiled warmly at his patient. He had been a psychotherapist for nearly 40 years and had helped many young couples improve their love lives. Over those years there had been many cases that stood out for one reason or another. He suspected that Richter Belmont, a young and respected professor of history, would soon be among those more memorable cases.

He stroked his thick gray beard as he pondered the academic professional's circumstances. Indeed there was something strange about this young man; Most of his foreign patients were put at ease by his splendid bedside manner and charming English accent- but not Richter.

He had now told Richter several times that for therapy sessions to be effective the patient needed to be honest and forthcoming. The young man looked ordinary enough to him- Mr. Belmont always appeared well-groomed with a clean shave, his long brown hair combed neatly and tied back, and his silk shirts pristine, buttoned, and tucked nicely beneath a simple belt.

On the outside at least, he certainly appeared normal. Still, even after completing their third session, Dr. Gray felt he was intentionally being left in the dark about key details.

Fortunately however, today promised to be more illuminating. Richter had agreed to ask his partner to join them for a special session to help tackle the problems in their relationship.

"Good day Professor Belmont."

Richter smiled. Having assumed so many false identities over his long life, he was happy to finally be using his real name again. He had reverted back to it almost a decade ago, but hearing others address him properly again still always coaxed a smile out of him.

"Good afternoon doctor."

"Will your partner still be joining us today as planned?"

Richter nodded and looked towards the door.

"Yes doctor, he's in the lobby waiting for us to let him in."

"Fantastic. Before we begin I have a few questions. Refresh my memory- what is your partners name?"

"Adrian."

"And remind me," the well-mannered psychotherapist paused to study his notes from the previous session, "Didn't you say he was an entertainer of some kind? What is Adrian's profession?"

"He's an internet performer. He live-steams his magic act; he's actually gotten kind of popular over the last couple of years."

"Ah well, I understand now. Briefly tell me again, how did you two meet?"

"Uhhh..." Richter hesitated as he tried to think of how to best tip-toe through his answer. "Well, I supposed we both had business with his father around the same time. We- I mean... we met at his father's home."

The therapist took a moment to review his notes from their previous session.

"And what do you feel is the reason for this... recent lack of sexual intimacy between you two?"

Richter shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm worried he has become bored with it," he sighed. "I don't doubt his feelings for me because we have been together for... so long- But I can't ignore that it has been a long time since we..."

"I understand Mr. Belmont," Dr. Gray assured him. "He agreed to join us today so clearly he wants things to work out between the two of you. Please let him in and we'll get started."

Richter smiled and went to the door.

"Adrian? You can come in now."

A few moments later Alucard slowly stepped into the room. He was wearing tight black jeans, a dark red button-down shirt, and a black leather jacket. Unlike Richter, his pale hair was unchanged and left free to drape around his face and cascade down his shoulders.

"Good day Doctor," Alucard held out his hand to the therapist as he introduced himself. "I am Adrian Nightshadow. Richter told me you can help us through our recent challenges. I look forward to hearing your insight."

Dr. Gray smiled and took hold of the hand being offered. He was immediately taken aback by Adrian's pale complexion but maintained his professionalism.

"Pleasure to meet you, Adrian. If I may be so bold, your hand is remarkably cold- are you well?"

Alucard smiled slightly.

"I am perfectly fine, Doctor. No need for concern."

Satisfied, the psychotherapist sat down behind his desk and invited the two men to find comfort on the couch in front of it. He had been tempted to ask about Adrian's ridiculous last name but decided it would be rude and probably just related to his online performance act anyway.

"Just a reminder to both of you- for therapy to be effective you should both be completely honest with me and each-other. Understood?"

Richter simply nodded and then looked to his companion.

Alucard's face turned serious as he glanced at Richter and then back to Dr. Gray.

"If it will indeed make the therapy more powerful then I must accept."

The former hunter winced as he listened to Alucard's response. The half-blood's promise of total honesty combined with his tendency to phrase things in an antiquated manner was already threatening the entire process.

More powerful?! Please- please don't let this be a disaster...

"Fantastic," the doctor began. "So, Mister... Nightshadow? Forgive me, but is that your real name or part of your internet persona?"

Alucard remained calm and expressionless as he responded.

"No," he conceded. "It is a lie. My true name is Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes. I chose the name Nightshadow because I am nocturnal by nature."

"Tepes?" Dr. Gray chuckled and glanced at Richter. "Like Vlad the Impaler? From Walachian history, eh' professor?"

Richter could only manage a nervous smile. He suspected doctor was joking and only trying to break the ice and get past Alucard's awkwardness. With luck he hoped that, perhaps after this, the conversation would get back on track.

Alucard maintained his stoic composure.

"No," he demurred. "That would be more like my father- though popular fiction has distorted his history and portrays him as far less dangerous."

Belmont remained silent. Already he had become too stunned to even speak.

But the doctor seemed to think nothing of it. Fortunately he hadn't taken the response literally.

"Well, clearly you have strong feelings regarding your father," he deduced. "But, if I recall, did you two not meet through your father's business?"

"Essentially that is correct doctor" the dhampir agreed. "One of my father's servants abducted Richter and used his dark influence to manipulate and control him. Eventually I was able to free him from this unholy slavery and he safely returned home."

Dr. Gray nearly dropped his pen in response.

"Abducted?! That's serious! Professor, did you have some history with Adrian's father prior to this?"

Richter could only sit there as the entire conversation spiraled out of control. A few moments later his eyes went wide and his face flushed when Alucard took the liberty of answering for him.

"They did," the dhampir confirmed. "Five years prior to this my father had abducted a young woman named Annette- Richter's lover at the time. To uphold his family's duty to protect the innocent from my father and to rescue her, Richter went to my father's home and they engaged in a brutal battle."

"She is safe now then?"

"She is dead now," Alucard clarified coldly. "She was indeed saved, but died years later after returning home."

Dr. Gray glanced sadly at Richter.

"I'm sorry to hear you had to endure such trauma, professor. I had no idea..."

The therapist took some hasty notes before looking up at the dhampir again.

"So, Richter went home but what did you do after this... incident?"

Alucard sighed and lowered his gaze to the floor.

"I traveled for a short time with Maria; one of Richter's distant relatives."

"Traveled?"

"Yes doctor. She followed and tried to pursue a physical relationship with me. I had grown so used to being alone that at times I felt great comfort having her as a traveling companion. But she desired more from me."

Alucard paused and glanced up at Richter. His voice grew more solemn as he continued.

"Not wanting her to leave me and be left alone again, I even tried to give her what she desired. Sadly I found it unfulfilling and, in the end, she finally realized remaining at my side would eventually only cause her grief."

The therapist took note of the response and turned the page of his pad to a fresh new sheet.

"So this brief attempt at intimacy with her came about after the ordeal with your father- that makes sense. I am still curious though, Adrian, where is your father now?"

"Hell," the dhampir shrugged.

The entire office went nearly silent. The only sounds to be heard for several long minutes were the distant ticking of a clock and the tip of Dr. Gray's pen scribbling extensively.

Alucard waited patiently on the couch with his arms on his lap and his fingers interlocked.

Richter, on the other hand, squirmed against the cushions beneath him and tried to distract himself by watching the clock behind the doctor's desk.

There's still fifteen minutes left until the session is over... can things actually get worse?!

"Given what I've already heard," Dr. Gray finally began again, "I feel there are significant psychological issues to be explored in more depth with each of you during future sessions."

Alucard nodded and reached for his human companion's hand. He could feel Richter's fingers trembling as he held them in his grip. Even after all this time, were these memories still so difficult for Richter to revisit? The half-blood silently scolded himself for not being more considerate of his partner's feelings.

Belmont said nothing. He knew Alucard had meant well, but sadly he had been honest to a fault. He feared the doctor would, at the very least, never take either them seriously again. It never ceased to amaze him how oblivious the half-blood was to how poorly he fit into modern times.

"Let's move on to the more pressing matter," Dr. Gray said. "Do you both recall the moment your relationship became... something more significant?"

"Vividly." Alucard gave Richter's hand a gentle squeeze.

"Go on," the therapist encouraged. "Recall the memory together and I will just listen. Describe it to each-other from your own points of view."

"The vault," Alucard continued. "We were exploring it when..."

Richter finally found is voice. "I dropped something and it caused such a disturbance that the earth trembled around us. Yes; it was my fault."

Alucard nodded. "We were trapped. Forces both seen and unseen made immediate escape impossible- even with my abilities."

Within a few minutes of discussing the event over two centuries in the past, the two of them had all but forgotten about Dr. Gray.

Richter closed his eyes and shook his head. "We dug through stone and soil forever... I felt so warm."

"I started to feel unwell," Alucard admitted. "I became agitated and frustrated. I heard you breathing so hard and could smell your sweat..."

The former vampire hunter swallowed as he evoked the image in his mind.

"You looked at me- your eyes looked so... different. You looked hungry; like you were becoming unhinged. No one had ever looked at me like that before..."

"Even knowing the risks, you cut yourself and told me there was no other way. I was no longer capable of resisting..."

The doctor watched the two men as they reminisced. He raised a skeptical eyebrow as the story took a dark and unexpected turn but he remained silent.

Richter moved towards the dhampir on the couch and spoke from his heart. He was becoming lost in the moment.

"Then you touched me. Your hands were all over my body- it set me on fire..."

"I remember what you said," Alucard smiled, "just before I started to take your pants off..."

"Ahem." Dr. Gray cleared his throat. "You two can stop there for now- I think you've both succeeded in remembering the moment. Now I want you to take some time this weekend to recreate and relive it."

Richter blushed, somewhat embarrassed that the doctor had overheard them recalling such private and intimate details. "Recreate and relive it?"

"Yes. Think of it as a reenactment or an exercise in role play. Try to rekindle that spark of how you felt for each-other that first time."

Alucard cocked his head at the suggestion.

"How will we accomplish that?"

"That is up to both of you" the doctor admitted. He removed his glasses and stood up behind his desk. "Typically I would only make this suggestion to a much older couple that has lost a certain, well, spark after many years."

Alucard nodded and stood up from the couch. He grabbed Richter gently by the arm and gently coaxed him into standing as well.

"We will do our best," the pale man promised. "Thank you for your insight, Doctor."

Dr. Gray nodded and forced himself to smile reassuringly as the two men left the room. He could not help but notice the expression of Mr. Belmont's face, which the therapist could only describe as a curious mix of embarrassment and relief.

When he was finally alone again in his office he sank down onto the couch where the two patients had been sitting.

"What strange young men," he sighed tiredly. "I really should just retire and take a long tropical cruise."

###

Alucard closed his flip phone and tossed the small device carelessly onto the nightstand. In recent years Richter had bugged him almost relentlessly to at least get a simple cellphone. Eventually, the dhampir finally grew tired of his partner's bickering agreed to get a very basic wireless phone. Despite his many years of study, Alucard found using the device to be a complicated affair.

Since the early 20th century he had come to appreciate traditional telephone calls, but he had yet to overcome his disdain for sending text and media messages. Few things irritated him more than having a call declined by Richter and then receiving a message advising him to just 'text' him instead.

"Tonight is the night," he grumbled beneath his breath. "He better not have forgotten..."

Alucard closed his eyes and took a deep breath. As he called upon his magical abilities, an intense column of light briefly encircled him before quickly fading. When the light had completely subsided, the half-blood found himself outfitted in his old clothes. The elegant jacket, black pants, and the dark concealing cape still fit him perfectly.

He took a moment to study himself in the mirror and toyed with his long, pale hair. Though texture and the color was still the same, years of tweaking his appearance had the caused lengthy silky strands to frame his face somewhat differently.

"Not perfect," Alucard smirked, "but not too far off. How close will Richter be able to get without his original clothes?"

###

Richter freed his hair from the ponytail and left it cascade down his shoulders. After years of being pulled back, the brown tresses had become a little straighter. Still, with a little effort and styling product, he felt he could would be able to achieve the look he had worn ages ago.

"This outfit on the other hand," he mumbled, "it doesn't seem quite right..."

He stared at his reflection in the mirror and sighed. For most couples, it would be a simple matter of digging old clothes out of the closet to dress like they did during a first date. But not for Richter; he never imagined it would be so difficult. With his original night creature-slaying garb lost long ago, it had proven challenging to replicate the look.

The coat and shirt he had gotten from the stage and prop shop were not too bad, but they still looked far more like a costume than authentic period clothing. The boots were by far the best piece- a lucky find at a second-hand clothing store. They felt so familiar around his feet that Richter had occasionally forgotten they were not his own original pair.

"That just leaves these," Richter sighed. To describe the pants as uncomfortable was an understatement. They were tight around his hips, they had a tendency to ride up the crack of his backside, and they hugged his package so tightly at the front that it left very little to the imagination. Sadly, there wasn't enough time to get new measurements taken and exchange them for a better fitting pair.

The former hunter shrugged; If things went as planned he wouldn't be wearing his pants for long anyhow.

"Strange," he chucked as he stared into the mirror. "It's just Alucard, so why do I feel so nervous?"

###

Despite his best efforts, Alucard could not help but laugh at the site of Richter in his outfit. Although the general look of the attire was fairly close, the way the fabric clung to Richter's body made the outfit seem more like a low-budget stage costume than a proper reproduction.

"It is a fair approximation," he smirked. "Though I do not recall the pants looking quite that tight..."

The dhampir's eyes moved to Richter's firm backside before darting back up to meet the human's gaze.

"They may be an improvement," he added with a feral smile.

Richter rolled his eyes and shook his head.

"I'm glad you approve. My weapon survived the test of time, but unlike you I had to improvise with my clothes."

"That is not the only improvisation," the dhampir replied. "Instead of a vault protected by powerful magic we have our bedroom… and a locked door."

The younger man sighed. Although had no wish to have sex with Alucard on the dirty floor of a subterranean room again, he did still want to make a sincere effort to relive the experience of their first time.

"You could at least place an enchantment on the room," he protested. "Can't you put a temporary ward or something in place? We don't need to be completely trapped- but at least make the effort…"

Alucard nodded and lead Belmont into their bedroom. When the dhampir snapped his fingers, the many candles he had placed throughout the room sparked to life and bathed the space in a soft glow. Satisfied with the lighting, he approached the neatly made bed and held his outstretched hands over it.

Richter smiled approvingly at the candlelight but raised an eyebrow when he caught sight of Alucard mumbling beneath his breath.

"What are you doing?"

The dhampir ignored the question and closed his eyes. He started to chant quietly- his voice little more than a whisper, for almost a full minute.

"It is done," Alucard finally answered and opened his eyes. "I have cast a dampening spell upon this room to more accurately recreate our sense entrapment. It will only last for a couple of hours, but that should suffice."

Richter smiled approvingly and wound his arms around the back of Alucard's neck.

"Good," he breathed before pulling the dhampir's face in for a kiss.

Alucard's eyes fluttered closed as his lips parted and their tongues began to slowly dance. It had been awhile since they had kissed like this, and clearly that had given his human lover cause for concern. He suspected that their recent lack of sexual intimacy stemmed from their increasingly visible and busy professional lives. Such urges had actually stirred frequently within the dhampir, but he often found Richter already asleep or too buried in extra work whenever he was in the mood.

For Richter, this encounter felt long overdue. He poured his pent up desires and frustrations into the kiss; eating at the dhampir's mouth impatiently. His enthusiasm took Alucard by surprise, which Richter saw as a rare opportunity to take charge of their bedroom activities. He took hold of Alucard's hands and slowly backed half-blood toward the bed.

Alucard was content to simply let himself be swept away by the sensations the human was stirring within him. Richter's eargerness proved so distracting that he failed to even notice what the younger was doing to him until it was too late.

When the realization of what had happened finally dawned on him, Alucard's eyes went wide. Somehow, Richter had managed to distract him long enough and use the length of the Vampire Killer whip to tie his wrists to the bed's headboard. What had started as an erotic and playful reenactment of their first sexual experience had now taken a sudden and drastic turn into uncharted territory.

"Richter," he growled as his arms fought against the legendary weapon restraining them. "What are you doing?!"

Belmont felt his entire body shiver at the sight before him. For the moment Alucard had been confined to the bed with his arms tightly restrained by Richter's whip and tied to the large headboard.

"I don't think you will escape so easily," Richter purred suggestively. "That temporary ward you placed on the room to 'trap' us- did it also diminish your own powers?"

The dhampir blinked and silently cursed himself when he realized his companion was correct. However, even when he struggled against his bonds with renewed determination, the coiled weapon held him firm.

Richter approached the bed and forced the front of Alucard's jacket open with a couple of frenzied motions. He found it difficult not to stop and chuckle at stunned expression gracing the dhampir's ashen face. With a great deal of effort, he stifled his laughter and proceeded to busy himself with the buttons of the other man's shirt.

Alucard's breath quickened when his shirt was torn open and his chest and abdomen were exposed. Despite their long history of sexual intimacy together, he couldn't recall the last time he'd seen Richter behave in such an aggressive manner. It was becoming clear to the half-blood that this was no longer about of reliving their first physical encounter. No; this was something entirely new.

Belmont leaned down and brought his mouth to the newly revealed skin and began to tease one of the dhampir's nipples with his tongue. When Alucard tried to flail away he clamped his lips down around the small bud of flesh and grazed it with his teeth.

Unprepared for such a sensation, Alucard began to writhe about on the bed and a loud moan escaped his throat without his consent.

"Mhnnnnhh!"

Satisfied with his partner's reaction, Richter withdrew and hooked his fingers around the top of Alucard's pants. He pulled at the stubborn leather impatiently- peeling it down the other man's milky legs until the top of Alucard's boots prevented him from going any further.

Belmont allowed himself to laugh at sight below him.

"Red briefs," he chuckled. "Sexy- but they aren't period appropriate so they must go..."

Alucard bit his lower lip when he felt the human's fingers firmly take hold of the elastic band of his underwear. Seconds later they were gone; ripped from his legs with one swift motion and leaving his external genitalia uncovered and vulnerable to Richter's whims.

Belmont growled impatiently and tore the red underwear clear off of Alucard's body. The dhampir's fully hard and erect penis appeared to briefly bounce when so abruptly freed from the confines of the clothing. The hunter bent down and brought his face in for a closer look. The head of the ivory-colored rod appeared slightly pinker than usual and the entire length twitched whenever his warm breath blew over it. Richter licked his lips at the sight; it looked too inviting to resist.

"Richter," the half-blood breathed heavily, "perhaps we should-"

But before he could utter another word Alucard nearly choked from the sensation of the other man's hot tongue sliding along the underside of his cock.

Richter delighted in the reaction and pulled back for a moment. Despite the dhampir's half-hearted protests, it was clear that his efforts to tease and torture him were eliciting a great deal of pleasure.

Alucard lifted his head and dared to watch as the human toyed with his aching manhood. He swallowed anxiously at the feeling of Richter carefully pulling back his foreskin. Moments later, when Belmont's tongue returned to swirl over the head of his penis, he could not help but shut his eyes and cry out.

"Nnnnn!"

Alucard nearly choked as those moist lips clamped down around his tip.

The former hunter began to slowly ease more of the rigid length into his mouth. The dhampir's manhood wasn't huge, yet he wasn't poorly endowed either. Satisfied once he had managed to cover more than half of the organ with his saliva, Richter began to apply more suction.

Alucard began to pant as the other man sucked him off. Still unable to free his hands, he resorted to jolting his hips toward Belmont's hot, blissful mouth.

"Richter," he almost sobbed, "I cannot hold it much longer!"

The younger man flinched when he tasted the overpowering flavor of the dhampir's precum in his mouth. He moved one of his hands to hold the base of Alucard's cock while the other went lower and began to carefully fondle the pale man's balls. The delicate skin of Alucard's sack immediately constricted when Richter touched it.

Even though he was certain that they would receive a noise complaint from the neighbors, Alucard no longer cared. With his modesty and restraint all but gone, he moaned loudly and without hesitation as he came into his partner's waiting mouth.

"Richterrrr!"

Belmont groaned around the half-blood's length when he heard Alucard crying his name. He stared up at the dhampir's face and shivered at the sight of his lover falling over the edge. Alucard's mouth was agape and his cheeks flushed as his cock began to erupt.

The pale man's liquid essence was surprisingly hot and thick. Unprepared for the hefty volume of the load, Richter found himself unable to swallow all of the salty substance. When he thought the tide had finally ebbed, he let the dhampir's slick length slip from his lips but ended up taking the final splash in the face by doing so.

Alucard's body relaxed but his breath remained hurried and labored. His explosive climax had been so intense and overpowering that he wasn't entirely sure he'd be able to stand for quite some time.

Richter wiped the remnants of Alucard's spent passion from his face and stood up. He then reached down and began to remove the dhampir's boots.

"We're not finished," he said sternly. Once the black boots were out of the way he was was then able to easily slide Alucard's pants completely off.

The half-blood remained still and watched on in silence as his human lover stepped away to strip out of his own confining pants. The sight of Richter fully naked was always to his liking. He never tired of seeing the younger man's toned but not overly-muscular physique and perfect skin. It was obvious that the human had no intention of stopping until he was fully satisfied as well.

Belmont took hold of the vampire killer whip and finally freed Alucard from its grip. Once unshackled, the older man visibly relaxed but did not attempt to move. Instead, he remained still and offered no protest.

Both men stared at each-other in silence for several long moments. In a way it was a new perspective for each other them. Alucard looked at his human lover from an unfamiliar position of weakness while Richter looked down upon his older lover with renewed desire and sexual aggression.

Sensing a bit on unease in the air, Richter leaned down placed a soft kiss on Alucard's lips.

"I want you so badly right now," he growled in a hot, throaty whisper. "It will be over quickly..."

Although that simple confession was honest and direct, for some reason it made Alucard's entire body shiver. He took a slow, deep breath and swallowed somewhat uneasily.

"Richter," he breathed. "I feel... strange."

Belmont's eyes suddenly widened with alarm and his expression softened.

He put his hands on each side of Alucard's face and looked his companion directly in the eyes.

"Are you unwell? Perhaps we should stop-"

"It is fine," Alucard interrupted forcefully. "Do not stop."

The dhampir closed his eyes to avert Richer's perplexed gaze. He hesitated for a moment, somewhat embarrassed by what he was about to say and yet he still couldn't help himself.

"Tell me what you wish for me to do," he conceded. "I will do anything you ask as long as it brings you pleasure."

A throaty moan escaped the hunter's lips. Alucard's submissive desire to satisfy him was fresh, new, and exciting.

"In that case," he smirked, "turn around, but bend over and put your elbows on the bed…"

The half-blood hesitated for a moment but then did as he was asked. He bent over and prominently displayed his bare backside. He hung his head low near the mattress and looked back to anxiously watch Richter approach from behind.

Richter moved his warm hands down Alucard's sides before bribing his palms to rest over the curve of the dhampir's ass. The pale globes of flesh were remarkably smooth, yet still firm and rounded enough for Belmont to find attractive. He felt his hard cock twitch in anticipation just at the thought of soon being inside of the other man.

Alucard nearly choked when Richter began to slide his erect penis down the cleft of his ass. The human then grabbed him firmly by the hips and pressed the head of his cock through the puckered entrance of the his asshole.

Alucard cried out as the younger man slid into him.

"Richter!"

Once his cock was buried to the hilt inside of his half-blood lover, Belmont felt shivers run down his spine. Although not as warm as a human body, Alucard's insides were still hot, tight, and slick.

"Yesss," Richter purred and leaned forward. "Alucard..."

His hot breath blew against the dhampir's ear as he slowly began to grind his hips.

"Or would you prefer I call you… Adrian at a moment like this?"

"A- Adrian is fine," the half-blood moaned. "I... can feel you… within- it is-"

But Alucard's words became lost when Richter jolted his hips forward without warning. Moments later the younger man began ram into him repeatedly- pushing his rigid length as deep into the dhampir as he could manage.

The pace quickly turned frantic and Belmont's fingertips nearly broke Alucard's skin as he tightened his grip on the half-blood's hips.

"Adrian," Richter huffed, "I can't hold it!"

Alucard's jaw fell open and his eyes went wide when he realized Richter had just came inside of him. His entire body trembled in delight at the experience. It felt like a sudden deluge of bathwater inside of him; extremely hot and localized at first, but then the sensation quickly spread into a pleasant and fleeting warmth.

Belmont leaned down, bringing his now sweaty chest and abdomen firmly against Alucard's back as the last spurts of cum left his throbbing cock.

Alucard struggled to focus as the sound of Richter's hot labored breath echoed in his perfect ears. The pleasant sound was accompanied by the delightful scent of the human's sweat and arousal. Such power distractions, combined with the fact that every nerve in his body was still on fire from his release, ultimately proved to be too much for Alucard to handle.

Unable to put a coherent sentence together or even properly articulate what he was feeling, Alucard resorted to falling onto the mattress and simply closing his eyes. With any luck, he hoped he'd recover within a minute or two.

###

42 Minutes Later…

###

Alucard sat up and turned to the younger man beside him on the bed.

Richter appeared to be fixated on the small television mounted on the wall across the room. This was unusual, because he honestly couldn't remember the last time he had actually seen Richter watch TV. But then again, Alucard had also never been the first to fall asleep and the last to wake up after an intense sexual episode together.

"I apologize," he began warmly. "I have never felt quite like that. It would seem that the experience drained me in more ways than one..."

Richter offered a coy smile and continued channel surfing.

"You don't need to be sorry," he said. "I know you enjoyed it and needed it as much as I did."

Alucard leaned in close and planted a gentle kiss on Belmont's cheek.

"Indeed I did," the dhampir smiled. "This television is not connected to anything; you will likely only get public access channels and home shopping rubbish."

Belmont shrugged and continued to fidget with the remote control.

"You forgot to mention the church channels. See? This program looks like a talk show with a bunch of catholic intellectuals."

Alucard feigned interest and forced himself to watch the screen. The program looked like a discussion panel of some sort hosted by an elderly man wearing the traditional collar of a priest. After observing for a few moments, Alucard deduced the man with the collar was interviewing another priest as well as two young women who were only identified as 'former victims of demonic possession.' The dhampir rolled his eyes as the interview began to play out in a predictable fashion.

"This promises to be ridiculous," he sighed. "Why are we watching this?

Richter seemed oblivious to the protest. Instead of responding to his partner of many years, his gaze became transfixed to the image on the television screen.

"That's him," he said. "I can't believe it- but I think it is!"

Alucard cocked his head as he tried to read his lover's expression. Richter appeared positively stunned- but the dhampir had no idea why.

"What are you talking about? What is it that you cannot believe?"

Belmont glanced at the dhampir and then back at the television display.

"The younger priest," he explained and pointed at the screen. "The middle-aged man; It's uncanny- his resemblance to Father Nelu!"

The half-blood's eyes narrowed and he looked at the screen with renewed skepticism.

"The man you once claimed guided you back to me so long ago? Richter, I thought we had finally settled this- He was not human..."

But the vampire hunter turned academic paid his older companion's plea no mind. Instead; he found himself taking great interest in the show as the camera moved to focus on the man he had become suspicious of.

The interviewer paused to clear his throat and then turned to speak to the middle-aged priest.

"As a certified exorcist, do you believe the increase in your cases suggests that we are nearing the end times?"

"That depends," the priest answered. "Demons are drawn to chaos, so I think that explains the rise in activity. Having said that, I doubt the world, as we have come to understand it, will end by the hand of demons or even what we think of as Satan."

"Really," the older clergyman replied almost immediately, "what makes you so sure?"

"There are creatures living among us far more powerful than you can imagine. While it's true many are selfish and care only about their own interests, there are a few others who have proved capable of consistently warding off an age of darkness."

"I see," the host replied with a nod. "Will these powerful creatures always protect us from evil?"

The middle-aged priest smirked and shrugged his shoulders.

"I suspect we'll find out soon enough," he offered cryptically. "A new conflict pitting mankind against the supernatural is long overdue."

With the snap of a finger, Alucard shut the TV off and turned to meet the annoyed glare of his partner.

"That is quite enough," he said sternly. "Think of all we have seen in our lifetime, Richter. Do you still believe demons and the like can bring about the end of the world?"

Richter blinked.

"Perhaps not alone," he shrugged. "But, what he said about powerful creatures hiding among humanity, is true…"

Alucard brought a hand to Richter's face and gently stroked the human's cheek.

"For so much of our lives," he pleaded softly, "we have dreaded the return of my father and the end of humanity. And yet-"

"Here we are," Richter finished for him. "I know, I know. You always make the same point when I get like this…"

The dhampir closed his eyes and nuzzled the other man's hair. He took a deep breath; he still loved the way Richter smelled. The former hunter's aroma comforted and still delighted him even to this day. He smiled and leaned in close to Belmont's ear.

"Look at how the world has changed," he whispered. "In so many ways; mankind has grown more merciful and tolerant. We live together and need no longer even hide the fact that we are lovers…"

Richter nodded and slid back down onto the bed. He moved in closer and brought the back of his head to rest in Alucard's lap.

"Soon it will be time for us to disappear again," he said sadly. "Before long we will have to again reemerge as new people. It's a shame really, because I was happy to be Richter Belmont again."

Alucard looked down at the other man and smiled thoughtfully.

"So do not change," he suggested as his nimble fingers gently stroked Richter's brow. "The world has become so busy and so complicated that perhaps it no longer even matters."

Richter found comfort in his companion's golden eyes but still wasn't entirely convinced.

"I think people will get suspicious in ten years," he said. "I doubt anyone could be convinced we are beyond our early 30's- at least not without heavy make-up…"

Alucard shook his head and shrugged.

"I perform real magic for them and they just accept it," he replied. "Not only that, but half of my online followers already think I am a vampire. You also probably do not want to know what some of them have asked me to do to them…"

Richter grinned at how uncomfortable Alucard looked when discussing his fans.

"Maybe I do want to know," he laughed. "Perhaps they have some good ideas of things we could try together?"

Alucard glared down at the younger man and shook his head.

"No."

Belmont folded under the pressure of the dhampir's irritated stare and changed the subject.

"Very well," he relented. "We'll stay with our present identities and just see what happens. But if people start with the conspiracies and harass us..."

"Yes,"Alucard interrupted, "if that happens, we can still disappear. Perhaps Japan or North America? We have not been to either place since the late 1990's…"

"We already agreed the next place will be very remote," Belmont reminded him sternly. "We're sticking to that plan."

Rather than admit his growing fondness of becoming a rising internet star, Alucard chose to remain quiet and to simply accept his partner's demands.

Richter also fell silent and took moment to reflect. The man cradling his head in his lap so lovingly had stuck with him for generations. It had been so long that Richter realized that he often took the dhampir for granted. Alucard had accommodated him at every turn over the decades- even when Richter knew it was completely unfair.

"Alucard," he finally began again. "Do you think you will live forever?"

The half-blood blinked, completely caught off guard by the question.

"For many years, indeed I did worry I was cursed to endure a solitary and eternal existence," he admitted sadly.

Richter reached up and took hold of one of Alucard's hands. He held the other man's nimble fingers firmly in his grip and brought the back of the pale hand to rest against his cheek.

"I don't know why I asked you such a thing. I apologize."

"It is alright," Alucard breathed. He paused and managed a smile. Whenever Richter tried to comfort him like this he could not help but feel deeply moved.

"As long we are together," the dhampir continued, "I will never grow tired of existence."

Belmont pulled Alucard's hand to his lips and gave it a gentle, loving kiss.

"We are relics of an old, forgotten world" he replied. "There is no one else for either of us."

Alucard carefully rolled Richter off of his lap and laid back down on the bed. After slipping under the covers he wound his arms around the younger man's waist and pulled him close.

"That is irrelevant," he said. "You already know that there is no one I would consider in your place, Richter."

The kind words warmed Richter's heart and put him at ease.

"Thank you," he replied with a kind smile. "You will never grow tired of existence because I will stay with you, forever."
