"I Can't believe I agreed to this" Stephanie thought, sitting across from Suzie. The two were at Al Calzone's as the poodle broke one of her breadsticks in half, talking about how Amber highly recommended the place before dipping it in the dish of red marinara sauce. Stephanie looked at her menu, glad it was just a casual lunch date. they were wearing their Scout uniforms, unlike when Tusk went out with Amber.
Stephanie looked over her menu thinking about what she wanted, eventually deciding on Chicken Parm while Suzie got pasta. The server brought the two their colas as Stephanie took a sip of her drink, feeling the sweet taste of the soft drink on her lips. it has been a while under Chef Mcmuesli's 'no soda' rule as the wolf was halfway through her plastic cup.
"You must be parched Steven" Suzie teased as the waiter filled up Stephanie's cup, the poodle bit her straw, sucking on her cherry soda. Suzie looked at Stephanie, thanking the wolf for going out on a date with her, to which the wolf repeated it was NOT a real date. The two were only pretending to date to dispel the rumors about Stephanie or 'Steven' being gay, the irony of her doing this by pretending to date a girl while she was secretly a girl herself was not lost on the wolf.
Eventually their lunch arrived as Stephanie looked at the food sat before them which smelled great, added by the fact that Suzie was offering to foot the bill; Stephane was not going to turn down a free meal, especially a free meal of decent food.
"WAIT" Suzie called out as the wolf dropped her fork, bouncing on her plate. The Poodle pulled out a disposable camera, wanting some pictures of the two of them, making Stephanie uncomfortable. only agreeing when Suzie claimed they would help sell the two scouts as a legit couple. Stephanie agreed but claimed no touching as the poodle handed the camera to the waiter, asking for some pics with her and new 'Boyfriend'.
The Waiter gave a cute aww, snapping the pics, in which Stephanie used every ounce of self-control to smile in the photos, acting like she was enjoying being with Suzie. Stephanie huffed as she felt a weird looming feeling in her gut which only meant one thing; someone was messing with her kart.
At Camp Kidney the blade of a pocketknife was being jammed into the glovebox of the Bean Can, trying to pry it open as the figure holding the knife jiggled it back and forth, causing the glovebox to open but not without causing the knife's blade to break off, clattering onto the floor of the kart.
The loud bang broke Andy's concentration as he shot up, asking who the hell was interrupting his meditation. walking to the cabin door, Andy opened it. The Tiger saw the Bean Can glovebox pried open and coated with scratches, looking at the mess, the contents shuffled about.
"Oh No, Steven is going to go ballistic when he finds out his Kart has been broken into" Andy realized, remembering how the wolf looked like he ready to dismember Flying Squirrel for just insulting his vehicle, but actual vandalism; Andy pitied the person who did this.
The Tiger looked thru the rummage trying to find anything. In the glove box were a few cassettes some crumpled up papers, a packet of ketchup, a bent straw, some change and a bottle cap: Nothing worth stealing. This begged the question on why someone would dig through the Kart.
Andy knew he did not have the answers as he closed the glovebox, letting Steven deal with it when he got back, though he knew that somehow the wolf already knew as he walked away from the kart. Whatever it was Steven had, Andy declared it a mystery as to how the wolf could know that someone was messing with his kart.
"Hey Andy, what are you doing in the Bean Can" Tusk asked, eating a sandwich, looking at the Tiger. "And who messed with the glove box"
Andy explained he heard the glovebox being broken into but could not find anything worth stealing, running his finger along the glovebox door, into the scratches. both of them deciding to leave the kart alone as Steven would want to deal with this personally. Andy looked at the sandwich the Boar was eating. "Where did you get that, is that PB&J... it's looks appetizing?" Andy asked as Tusk stuffed the things into his mouth.
In reality Amber invited him into the woods for a picnic. She wanted to talk about their relationship as The Boar reflected on the picnic. It was about an hour earlier when Tusk got a letter from the Rabbit, slid under the door to Cocoa Cabin. It addressed to Tusk, having his name on it, written in a curved girly font.
The letter told him to meet Amber in the woods for a picnic, giving him a map to follow. Tusk made his way to the clearing in the map, seeing a blanket on the floor with various foods laid out before them. "Suprise"
The boar turned around to see the blue rabbit, gesturing to the picnic she prepared. Tusk looked at the foods with an impression of gratitude, telling Amber she did not have to do this as Bunny nodded, explaining she wanted to.
"I've been thinking about 'us', and I've decided, why not go for it" Amber admitted, looking at the boar, explaining she wanted 'them' to work and was willing to make that work, unable to deny her feelings anymore. "I've been thinking about that kiss and after pondering on it, I not going to wonder what could be. I'm saying that... I Love you" The rabbit admitted.
Tusk was a bit surprised but pleased to hear that, having a crush on her as well as she looked at him, giving the boar a hug "...And you not off your meds are you, I Don't want you doing something you'd regr...umph" Tusk interjected only to be met with a kiss from the rabbit.
It could only be described as electric as Amber pushed them both down to the ground, their lips still touched as she backed up. explaining that her being off meds was not a problem, pulling a doughnut from the box and bringing it to his mouth.
The two spent a while feeding each other and cuddling on the blanket warm sun beating over them. Tusk looked at Andy, finishing the sandwich, saying it was a gift, walking away from the tiger. Tusk did not know what caused Amber to take the plunge and make her and Tusk Official, but he was not complaining.
In Flying Squirrel Cabin Patsy was laying on her bed, looking up at the ceiling. she had taken the initial rejection well but now that it has sunk in, she realized that Lazlo turned her down. how was she supposed to get over that. even though she agreed with it; it still hurt her, laying as Nina was brushing her hair, looking at the Mongoose who let of a deep breath.
"Patsy, what's with you; you have barely spoke a word since last night" Nina asked as the Mongoose. spread out on her bed. a box of Squirrel Scouts 'Nutbuster' cookies on her chest Nina rubbed her leader's shoulders, telling Patsy that she could confide in her. Patsy pulled another cookie from the box, plopping it in her mouth.
Gretchen called out to Patsy, telling her to stop mopeing around and eating her feelings in cookies, yanking the box away from the Mongoose, who turned her face into her pillow.
"Lazlo and I separated, I mean, I know it was for the best and I thought I could handle it, but I'm still a bit torn up about it" Patsy admitted as the girls looked at her. Gretchen offering to break Lazlo's legs for turning away Patsy; after seeing her reacting this way, Patsy quickly told the alligator not to get involved as she did not want him getting hurt.
Nina told Patsy that she could not just lay and mope because they separated, they weren't even 'together' and Patsy was laying on her bed, stuffing her face like she got dumped. Nina helped Patsy off her bed and back onto her feet, claiming that a walk might help her as Patsy took huff, agreeing to walk with Nina. She did not want to spend the whole day moping as the three left their cabin.
"But Seriously, give me the word, I will tear that Monkey a new one" Gretchen offered as Patsy dismissed her. turning to the two. claiming that she wanted to hike by herself to clear her head. her cabinmates respected this as the two watched the Mongoose packed her backpack to walk off into the woods. The two looked at each other, Nina asking what they shold do. "I've never seen Patsy like this."
Their conversation gathered some attention from a few asking about what happened as Flying Squirrel kept quiet, not wanting to tell them about the ordeal with Lazlo, claiming Patsy just had a bit on her mind.
The squirrels looked at each other, asking what they should do about this. Gretchen simply cracked her knuckles as Nina shook her head, rejecting the idea of hurting Lazlo. Patsy probably would not want them to do that anyway.
"I Suppose this means you don't want to hear about my amazing date with Steven" Suzie added as Patsy turned to the poodle, giving Suzie some simple advice. to break it off with Steven, zipping up her bag as Suzie looked at Patsy. claiming that because the Mongoose had personal trouble, she had to ruin Suzie's new relationship.
"Steven is... you're going to get hurt down the road" Patsy added, almost spilling the Wolf's secret but catching it in time. Part of her was actually jealous of Suzie at the moment but another half wanted to save Suzie the pain of falling for the wolf only to find out she was a girl.
Suzie looked at Patsy, crossing her arm with a few others who actually called the mongoose out. Rachel was the first to speak up, agreeing with Patsy, saying that a relationship with a Bean Scout would never end good. Amber spoke up in defense of her new relationship with Tusk.
"He's so sweet, like a buttery ball of sugar, the way he talks to me. He's so romantic" Amber went on as the girls turned to the rabbit. surprised both Amber and Suzie were dating Beans. Terrifield Looked at Rachel, asking how this was happening. In the short time of the Cocoa Beans being here two of them have managed to hook up with Squirrel scouts.
Rachel nodded, adding that the Beans were messing up the status quo. first, they were standing up to them, then they were fighting back and now they romantically poached two of the Squirrels.
"Nobody 'poached' me. Tusk really is genuine, and sweet. if you just talked to him, you'd probably like him too. me and him have a lot in common" Amber added, commenting on his sense of humor. Patsy looked at the girl, ordering them to be quiet, as head scout.
"We entered a truce with the Bean Scouts, and I gave my word we would uphold it; Patsy Smiles never goes back on her word" The Mongoose called out.
So now were seeing some tension among the squirrels, concerning the Bean Scouts as Amber and Suzie's relationships are semi-public.
