Chapter 67: Rinne and Rio Need Love Too

"Miku!?"

Shido and Mayuri were startled by the sudden arrival of a certain celebrated idol, who just saw them after turning a corner.

"Yaaaaa—" Miku exclaimed and squirmed happily. "Darling and Mayuri-chan's blushing faces are so cuteeeee~"

Unintentionally, she called out to them before they could kiss, much to the couple's embarrassment.

"How did you find us here?"

Shido asked, hiding his feelings of embarrassment.

"Simple: I smell beautiful girls here!" Miku explained as she squealed. "When there are beautiful girls here, Darling must be here as well."

Shido facepalmed with a groan. He had no comments on this kind of logic, though it's true.

"What are you doing here? Weren't you training at home?"

Mayuri pouted, cheeks puffing up.

"Oh yeah, that's what I wanted to tell you!"

Miku cried, running toward the couple.

"Marina-san was so mean~"

She hugged Mayuri and buried the startled girl's head inside her plump bosom, giving her a feeling of their squishiness.

"She always tied me up with electrifying coils and shocked me senseless~" She sniffed Mayuri's silky blond hair, enjoying the fragrant smell emitting from it."Please Darling… avenge me~"

"Even if you say that…" Shido stared at this bizarre scene dumbly, and he pointed out wryly, "also, that's Mayuri…"

Hearing his words, Miku batted her eyes and made a surprised gasp.

"Oh God~ since when did you jump into my embrace? You are such a spoiled little girl~"

She kissed the stunned blonde on the forehead, the display of affection was too much for the bystanders to watch.

And that included Miku Nakano and Yumiko Miura, who just finished dressing up.

A gentle voice came from the side, and it turned out to be from Rinne. Behind her, there was a little girl that was almost a younger version of herself. But what attracted everyone's attention the most was: She was carrying a black-haired girl her size on her back!

"What happened to Marina?"

Shido asked in concern. It seemed that his entire harem in this world got here.

"She's a bit tired from training Miku, and she doesn't want to do it again anytime soon." Rinne explained, glancing at the sleeping face of Marina. Then, she shifted her gaze toward Mayuri. "But, I need Mayuri to take care of her and Miku this afternoon."

The blonde girl nodded and took Marina into her arms.

"Don't you need to ask why?"

Rinne asked curiously.

"Nah, I'm sure it's for good reasons."

Mayuri smiled.

Shido was happy to see that they trusted each other so much. Of course, Miku felt the same too. She was basically drooling witnessing the two sisters exchanging the sleeping Marina.

"It was Marina's idea: Shido should spend time with his wife and daughter alone."

Rinne explained, much to everyone's surprise.

—Earlier today—

"Why did you send Shido back to school? You know it's basically doing more harm to him than good."

Rinne asked while holding up both of her hands, energy emitting from her refined palms.

She was reconstructing the Sonogami Household into a battleship that could fly high up in the sky at a rapid speed. In this case, Ren or whatever enemy wouldn't be able to find them; after all, her reiryoku could block their discounted Angel of Google Search. It would be the perfect shelter to protect Shido and everyone. However, with Shido going to school, she had to send Mayuri to accompany him. It was already frustrating enough for her to divide the combat powers in half.

The major concern was: Some girls at school developed affections for her husband.

She wasn't worried that Shido might fall for someone, for his heart was impregnable by any charm outside of his harem. But the thing was, Ren would find out and try things with those girls. And with his character, he would not leave them alone.

"Ren already knows that these girls mean something," Marina, the girl in question, answered with a smile. "Even if he doesn't go to school, she will still be able to take them hostage if she wants."

"So going to school is the right idea, after all?" As much as she hated the idea, Rinne had to agree with her daughter's caretaker. "What if Ren takes advantage of—?"

Before she could finish her sentence, Marina raised her hand and landed it on top of her head.

The sudden head pat put Rinne's train of thought to a stop, feeling a mixture of emotions. She remembered Shido doing it to her before, but now Marina?

"Girl, you need a break too."

—Back to the present—

Now that she mentioned it, Shido realized that he hadn't had a proper date with Rinne for over a year. In addition, he'd been neglecting his daughter as well. It couldn't be helped, since the amount of troublesome matters occurred one after another.

"Darling's family date! It's so wholesome!"

Miku exclaimed, making the family of three blush.

Mentally thanking Marina, Shido decided to fulfill his duty. Also, he would make sure to reward her nicely later on.

Of course, this was all witnessed by Miku Nakano and Yumiko Miura.

They were surprised to see this many girls gathering around Shido. It turned out the rumors were true after all: He really had several girlfriends, and what's more, they could all get along! Of course, the most shocking fact was that he had a daughter!

Just how old was he when he had her?

But they took it surprisingly well, after all, they appreciated the fact that he took responsibility for raising his child.

Shido breathed a sigh of relief. He was expecting them to make a fuss over the fact that he had a daughter, but they were surprisingly understanding.

"As much as we would like to stay, we have to go now." Shido looked at the two girls, handing them the rest of the maid outfits. "Can you deliver the maid outfits back to the head teacher's office?"

Yumiko froze for a second, before nodding with a wry smile. She realized that he had some plans with his girlfriends.

On the other hand, Miku Nakano nodded quickly, for she was quite satisfied that she got on technically half a date with Shido.

"I can walk you back, after all, two beautiful maids like you might get hit on by random loser guys~"

Of course, Miku offered to accompany them, but—

"Shut your mouth, I'm trying to sleep!"

—Marina, suddenly opening her eyes, hit Miku on the head harshly!

"Sob*sob* Marina-san is so mean~"

"…yeah, and that's about it."

On their way back to school, Shido briefly explained the relationship between him and these girls, ignoring the crying Miku on the side, for she was just feigning it. Of course, he did not lay out the facts that they were gonna fight an evil villainess Spirit or something.

"Miku-san, are you okay?"

Miku Nakano, however, was more concerned about the crying idol that shared her first name in English.

"No, I need some healing hugs~"

The third quintuplet girl had a dreamy look on her face, flushing like a rosy reaching its blossom point. Clearly, she thought that she was accepted by Miku. If one member of his harem accepted her, the rest of them should follow suit gradually.

Nevertheless, that was just a pipe dream.

"We are gonna go now. Goodbye."

Shido said to the two female classmates kindly; his message was clear.

"I'm going to deliver the outfits." The headphone-wearing-girl nodded, walking toward the school entrance with Yumiko. "See you tomorrow."

With the two classmates gone, Shido looked at his group of girls. He would have a lot of troubles ahead of him, but first, he shall focus on his family right now.

The next chapter will be a fluffy, heart-warming family date for Shido, Rinne, and Rio.
