"Bluey…let's talk" Midnight said, her voice echoed throughout the fictional desert. Bluey looked around and saw that all that was there was the desert she hated so much. "What are you doing? Why can't I leave?" Bluey asked. She tried making the crosswalk reappear but it was to no avail. "This physical body is exhausted after everything that you have been through today…I do not think you will be waking up anytime soon" Bluey looked around "Why are we here, in this desert…again?" Midnight shrugged "This is where we were when I became stronger, when I helped you survive" Bluey looked at her "Why are you on a throne? And why does it look like dogs?" Midnight sighed "You really do not know what I am do you?" Bluey shook her head "I thought I made you from my subconscious to protect me?" Midnight nodded "That is only partly true. But do you really want to know what I am?" Bluey stared at her for a few seconds before nodding slowly "Fine…what are you?" Midnight got off the throne and walked towards Bluey, the steps she walked on also resemble various dogs, some wearing masks, others wearing helmets. "I am your grief…the negativity you feel personified. I am your desperation and your rejection, in the form of you as a child" Bluey looked at her confused "I do not understand" Midnight rolled her eyes "You told Honey something interesting earlier…" Midnight showed her the memory of her talking to Honey "Nobody else wants me gone…not aside from you and one other dog!" Bluey said. Midnight turned and looked at Bluey "You never did answer her question…but we both know who that other dog is, don't we" Bluey's eyes widened. "I…I mean" Midnight circled around Bluey "And just tell me why that dog would want you gone?" Midnight asked. Bluey sighed "Because no matter how hard I try, no matter how far I have come…I can't just forget" Midnight sighed "You can't forget about what you did to Bingo?" Bluey nodded. Bluey felt a sharp pain forming in her arm, it was slow and felt like a knife was being dragged across her arm, soon it had mirrored the cut that Honey had left on her. "What is this?!" Midnight shrugged "You used me a lot in that last fight against Honey, but then I realized something, I was formed…not to protect you from whatever hurt you…but to ease or cease your pain." Bluey looked at her and held her arm "T-that's correct…I think"

Midnight looked at the cracks that had formed in her body "However you mainly used me when it came to when you were in the desert…and I helped you when he had broken up with you" Bluey frowned "You nearly killed him is what you did!" Midnight looked at Bluey "But you see Bluey, I came to a very serious realization" she slowly walked towards Bluey. Bluey looked at her smaller mixed color clone a bit worried "And what would that be?" Midnight looked away "If I was supposed to help you in whatever way I could, but you constantly did things that contradicted what I am supposed to do then you would only face more pain" Bluey nodded "I guess that makes sense…" Midnight nodded "I know you did it for your friends, and because of that fake Bingo thing, but if you would have just listened to me, and did not resist me, Honey would not have nearly killed you. Jean-Luc would not have almost…had his way with you…and Mackenzie would not have gotten stabbed in the shoulder" Bluey's ears drooped once she remembered how he got stabbed protecting her "I know but…" Midnight interrupted her "Did you ever consider that if you had done what Honey and Coco wanted all those years ago, and you told your friends to stay away from you, Honey would not have gone this far just to try to kill you?" Bluey began backing up "I-" "Maybe you were being selfish and not thinking about these sort of things…and who they would effect" Bluey looked down "I just…did not want to be alone" Midnight walked to Bluey "You to top all of this off? The reason why all of these bad things are happening?" Bluey shook her head quickly "No…shut up…" Midnight looked at her "You. Killed. Bingo" Bluey held her head "I SAID SHUT UP!" her voice echoed as she tried to silence her imaginary self. Midnight looked at Bluey "Now I will tell you what will happen, it is my job to put an end to the things that cause you pain. And since you have done so much to cause yourself pain…" Bluey's eyes widened as she looked at Midnight "Stop it…stop hurting me" Midnight shook her head "You think I am trying to hurt you. That is not how I see it. I was made to protect you from the pain, by reflecting on everything you have done and will most likely do in the future, you threaten to go through even more pain Bluey. I realized that there is only one way to stop you from hurting yourself." Tears flowed from Midnight's eyes as she looked at Bluey "The only way to stop you from feeling pain again…is to permanently end it…and the only way to permanently end the pain…" she pointed at Bluey "...Is to end you"

Bluey's head felt weird and another cut appeared on her, this time forming on her leg. "Stop….stop this" Bluey said as she stretched out her hand and tried forcing Midnight to vanish. However Midnight stayed there and walked closer to Bluey without saying another word. An image flashed in Bluey's head, it was of the night that Bingo had passed away, specifically when she was desperately hoping that her younger sister would recover, mere seconds before she would pass away. Bluey gasped, soon Midnight was standing in front of her, despite looking at her with no emotions, everything about Midnight felt menacing and intimidating. The royal blue on her hands looked like they had very small scratches, but the scratches were deep enough to bleed, the midnight blue fur was missing from her body entirely, and everything had an eerie feel to it.

Bluey remembered the advice she had heard years ago, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. "It does not matter how much you have overcome, you did something that you still regret and will regret for the rest of your life. Because of this, you have had one huge hurdle to deal with when it comes to your depression and your emotions that you tried so hard to repress." Midnight said. Bluey exhaled slowly "I get it…I leaned on you more than I thought without realizing it, and it may have caused me to think i was doing better when all it did was cause more problems" Bluey opened her eyes and looked at Midnight "I also did things that you did not want me to do, things that would have and probably already have caused me more pain than necessary." The sky began to darken behind Midnight at a very slow, but noticeable rate. Bluey felt odd but she believed that confronting Midnight was something that she absolutely had to do, even if she did not want to, her body was still exhausted and Midnight was not going to let her leave, so she would still have to. "You may have your ways of protecting me, but I did what I had to in order to heal some of those emotional wounds, the exact same things that you did not want me to do! That's why…I want you gone! Why I want to try…why I need to try."

Midnight had faded for a split second before a faint red glow enveloped her body, she would then snap her fingers and Bluey would feel the pain that had been inflicted on her in the real world. Scratches, cuts, and bruises appeared on her, the cuts would bleed and the bruises would sting, but Bluey would do her best to ignore it. "You have caused so much pain and suffering, yet you do nothing about it" Midnight said "And so, you have earned nothing in return" Similar to Midnight, a small but noticeable crack had formed on Bluey, despite it being small it was actually pretty painful. Bluey gritted her teeth as she held her hand over the crack for a second. "I have apologized and did my best to make amends with everyone who was hurt by my actions." Bluey groaned "That's why…I had to go to Honey, I couldn't let her hurt everyone just because I did not show up!" Midnight ignored her words and caused imaginative versions of her own parents to appear near them "Mum and dad will never truly forgive you, they only act like they do for your sake, you took their daughter away" Chucky and Lila appeared next to Bandit and Chilli "You took their friend away" and their lives will never be the same because of you. Once they have had enough of you, they will abandon you…and that's exactly what you deserve" Bluey felt more pain as the crack spread a little when midnight finished talking. "It may be hard to believe that they would, it may even seem impossible that they really would, but mum and dad have done their very best for me, even when I knew they were still mad…they still showed me plenty of love!" she looked at Bingo's friends "And they may still be angry but they have to have forgiven me at some point, otherwise what was the point of not helping Honey?" Midnight had almost vanished but she remained there, however more of her fur was darkened, and her throne was now more visible. The four fake dogs that she made appear had now vanished.

"You tell yourself that you're a good dog. That you deserve some nice things, but we both know that that's not true. The truth is that you are horrible, you just don't want other dogs to notice it…" Bluey took a deep breath and exhaled again, trying to calm her nerves. She would try to speak but Midnight cut her off once again "You were barely helpful when Mackenzie lost his parents. What kind of a good dog are you when you cannot even help your boyfriend? Despite everything he has done to help you…" The crack that had formed was starting to branch and spread slowly "I did…what I could for him, I tried my best to help him cheer up" Midnight nodded slowly "Yet deep in your heart you were not sure what to say, even after he was there to support you after your murder, because you felt like losing one's parents is not on the same level as losing a sibling. You selfish dog, you felt like his pain could not compare to yours simply because the circumstances were too different, yet you knew he had guilt over not being able to save them. Not only are you selfish, you are downright sick and twisted" Bluey gritted her teeth from the pain "People like you don't deserve to live" Midnight said in her monotonous voice. "That's…that's not true…" Bluey said weakly. "People like you don't deserve to live" Midnight said again. Bluey continued trying to calm down "I just, was not sure how to help him…I don't know how it feels to have my parents murdered and witness my mum getting stabbed to protect me!" She said, trying to defend herself. "People like you don't deserve to live" Midnight said once again as another crack formed on Midnight's body instead of Bluey's. However, Midnight's words would repeat over and over and with each time they repeated, smaller and slower forming cracks would appear Bluey's body and despite their size, they would almost be as painful as the initial one. Bluey growled lowly and looked at Midnight "That's why i am trying to find a reason to live!" Midnight closed her eyes and similar to before, she would almost vanish, just like before her body had noticeable differences, her eyes appeared silver in color now and her body had more purple on it that Blue. One major difference was that Midnight's hands seemed to be covered in blood.

The desert sky was a blood red and something blurry appeared behind Midnight, it looked familiar but it was too hard to recognize at the moment. Howling desert winds would blow, sounding almost like faint screams, and Midnight remained expressionless, but no longer repeating the words, telling Bluey that she did not deserve to live. This time she targeted Bluey by mentioning her relationship with Bingo. "You would say that you were a good sister to Bingo, but really if you were a good sister none of this would have happened." Bluey sighed "What are you even getting at anymore?" Similar to the fake dogs that had appeared and vanished, Midnight had managed to pull Bluey's memories in front of her and show them to the blue heeler. "You were so selfish at times" Midnight said as Bluey saw the day her and Bingo were playing with the magic xylophone "Dad, I want to be the piano!" Bingo said while watching her father play with Bluey as if she was a piano. "No! It's still my turn" Bluey had responded before Bandit had sat Bluey down and played with Bingo as if she was a set of bongos. She was then reminded how even when Bingo tried getting a turn to unfreeze their father in the game, Bluey repeatedly ignored her requests until Chilli had told her to. Then how her father had got the xylophone when Bluey tried taking it back from Bingo. Finally Bingo had to freeze her to actually get her to actually listen to how Bluey was making her feel. "Would a good sister really have to be frozen to listen to what their sibling had to say?" Midnight asked.

Bluey shook her head "I…I just-" "I am far from being finished with you" Midnight said. Soon it showed when the two decided to play hotel with Bandit. Bingo had wanted to be a crazy pillow but similar to before, Bluey would deny her request and force her into being a crazy helper instead. Despite Bingo doing everything Bluey had wanted her to do, Bluey had continually denied Bingo's request of being a crazy pillow. She would finally allow the red heeler to be a crazy pillow after she had gotten angry and no longer wanted to play the game with her older sister. Bluey had not seemed too bothered by this until her father did not want to play unless Bluey had made up with Bingo "What harm would it cause if you had just allowed her to play the game you both enjoyed, the way she wanted to play it? Even dad said that you have to let her make some decisions too" Midnight asked.

Bluey could not find the words to say but she knew that Midnight was going to keep going no matter what she said anyway. "That's the way things were between the two of you for quite a while…" she hissed, almost annoyed "Even when it came to your friends and their assigned roles in your games, Bingo's wishes never mattered until she became upset in some kind of way" Bluey remembered when she was playing her spy game. "Here's the samples, Bingo" Bluey said as her and Mackenzie ran over and gave her strands of fur from the adults who were having a barbeque. "My name is Sparkleshot" Bingo said correcting her sister. However, Bluey would pat her sister's head "Good one, Bingo" she said once again ignoring Bingo's requests and causing Bingo to growl in frustration. Bingo had even asked Bluey if she could get their father's fur instead of Bluey, who had refused to allow her since she was tasked with gathering grass instead. "Then you had the nerve to get mad when she had to go to the toilet and blew your cover, it was better than if she had gone by herself and something bad had happened to her" Midnight said. Bluey whimpered as the crack would spread again. "Just like usual…you did not seem to care until your friends all started squabbling"

"You want to know one of my favorite moments? A moment that truly felt like you backstabbed your sister?" Bluey shook her head "Please…stop" the cracks were beginning to spread to her arms. Bluey was in her backyard with Bingo, Judo, and a fabric swing. They were playing butterflies, Bingo had wanted to go first but Judo objected and went first instead. Then finally when it was Bingo's turn, Judo had convinced Bluey to abandon her sister and the two played a different game in the front yard, which Bingo would notice and call Bluey out for. "Bluey, you were meant to catch me!" Bingo said. Judo would yell and run past Bluey before saying "Quick Bluey, run away!" Bluey would stare at her younger sister for a few seconds, before reluctantly doing as Judo suggested. Bingo would look on with a saddened expression before returning to the swing. "All she wanted was to play a game, you even admitted that Judo didn't make you do it, but you still chose your friend over your sister. You could have easily avoided that whole thing if you told Judo that she was wrong for how she was acting, and you knew that"

"Then you cheated in that one race against Bingo" Midnight said. "Race? What race?" Bluey asked. Bluey then saw her mother laying on the floor with her legs on the couch, and her father laying on the couch with his legs hanging on a cushion. Bluey climbed onto her mother's head and stomach while Bingo had gone to retrieve a music box, then Bingo had returned a few seconds after "Hey, you didn't wait for me" Bingo said sadly. "You were taking ages!" Bluey responded. "I was packing important mountain stuff!" Bingo said before growling and following Bluey. Bluey had jumped onto her father's leg and began to slip "Help Bingo!" Bluey said to avoid touching the floor beneath her. Bingo made her way over and began reaching into her backpack "Don't worry! I've got some rope in my backpack." she said as pulled out a green tie and handed it to Bluey "Here, grab on!" she said as she helped Bluey up. Bluey would then thank her younger sister before continuing to race Bingo, who did not really care about racing her in the first place. Bluey would then proceed to use Bingo's head to help herself get further in the race, causing Bingo to fall down between her father's legs, then she would deny cheating until the mountain had an avalanche from her yelling.

"I DON'T NEED TO REMEMBER EVERYTIME I MESSED UP!" Bluey shouted. Midnight shrugged "But you do remember every time…otherwise you would not be seeing here" Midnight poked Bluey's nose. "So I will continue…and you will remember what kind of sister you really were to Bingo" She sat back onto her throne "Like when you took her toothbrush and you teased her, mainly because you were taller than her. Or during Christmas, when you would not accept her apology and even Muffin…Muffin had enough standards to tell you about how Santa likes good dogs that accept apologies. Bluey's head had started to hurt "See how much of a pain you were being?" Bluey shook her head "I get your point already!" Bluey exclaimed.

Soon she saw her and Bingo at their home "Dad, Bingo's watermelon is redder than mine" Bluey said looking at her slice of watermelon. "God, you really did make that day a pain" Midnight said. Bluey and Bingo were each given a lawn gnome to hold from their mother, after Bluey was a bit jealous about Bingo having a gnome that she had deemed to be her husband, she had seemed content until she had noticed that the gnome that Bingo was holding had one small difference, it had a shovel. "Hey, Gerald doesn't have a shovel. Mum, Bingo's husband is better than mine." Bluey said. "Just try and be happy with what you've got, okay?" Chilli asked her. "I can't be happy with what I've got when what she has is better." Bluey responded, much to her mother's annoyance. She would behave similarly when Bingo was handed fairy lights, a pizza flipper, and finally a pizza stone. After Bingo reluctantly gave Bluey the flipper Chilli would place the stone in front of Bingo who gasped at the sight " A dining table!" Bluey would groan "I'll swap you back the pizza flipper for your dining table!" however, bingo was not willing to give it up "No way!" Bingo then held the stone until Bluey tried taking it away "Bingo, I want a turn with it." Bluey tried forcibly taking it and the two sisters would each keep their grip "Give it to me!" Bluey said with a growl trying to claim it "Let go, Bingo!" Bingo would try to reclaim it "Give it to me, Bluey!" Bingo would say before her arms slipped and she would hit the gnome that she named Gerald, causing it to fall out the basket and shatter, and would cause her mother to yell at her. "Would it have been bad to let Bingo have something that you didn't have?" Midnight asked.

Bluey tried to ignore Midnight's words and tried to ignore the cracks that were spreading through her body, she wanted to leave but Midnight was preventing her from doing anything that she wanted to do. She felt horrible emotionally and Midnight was making everything worse, by reminding her of her past actions. "I am not surprised one bit, you even felt a bit of disdain for your sister when you felt like mum and dad preferred her more when you used your hair chalk, then again is that not why you tried becoming her after she was buried in the ground? Because you felt like everyone would be happier if Bingo was still around and that you were the one that was gone for good?" Midnight scoffed "And That was not even Bingo's fault, dad said something and you misunderstood what he meant. What you felt towards Bingo for those few seconds? That was highly unjustified…and you know it. Then there was the time when you wanted to teach her magic, then when she questioned why she had to do what you wanted, all you did was toss her aside as if she did not matter!"

Bluey sighed "I was a child when all of those things happened, I did not fully understand things as well as I do now!" Bluey said "And that magic one was just part of a game!" Midnight rolled her eyes "You act like you are fine, that nothing has bothered you, that you still don't beat yourself up over Bingo's death after all these years. You're nothing but a worthless liar not only are you worthless, you are weak. You are weak because you won't tell anyone anything about your deepest thoughts because you are afraid that you will be a burden. And you think that if you are a burden then everyone will hate you just as much as you hate yourself. You feel scared because if they knew the truth, they would give up on you, they would have no trust in your words, and no matter what you do it will always be pointless and hopeless. Once you reach that inevitable point, even Mackenzie would probably move on from you" Once she said that Bluey's eyes widened "And you're supposed to be pregnant? With his child?" she scoffed again "You would make a horrible mother, I tried to warn you but you started to ignore me, did what you wanted to do, all you will end up doing is making things worse. It would be better to just die." Bluey's eyes watered "What you say is not true, I have come a long way and tried so hard to move on from what I did. I know it was horrible and I know that I have intense feelings regarding myself…but I keep trying, I am doing my very best to move on, so that I could have a chance of feeling like tha happy puppy that I used to be, and not the one that I pretend that I am" Midnight shook her head as her eyes would glow dimly "It would be better to just die" Bluey put her hands over her stomach "But I have a child! A living breathing dog inside of me, they won't get a chance to-" Midnight interrupted her once again "It would be better to just die" Bluey would calm down then try to force Midnight to vanish, however she felt an odd pain run through her body, once she stopped she noticed that similar to Midnight, she almost faded away. Midnight would continue to stare at her expressionless and just repeat herself again "It would be better to just die"

Bluey gripped her head and sighed "if you are supposed to protect me, why are you doing this? How would death be the solution?" Midnight shook her head "I already answered that question, I exist to stop the pain and prevent any other possible pain. When you refuse to follow my suggestions, then you risk dealing with even more pain. Because you risk dealing with so much pain and because you are willing to cause yourself heartache and pain in the future, I am only doing my job by pushing you towards one final possibility" Bluey growled "Then why can't I make you go away?! Why can't I be free of you?" Midnight shrugged "Bluey, I represent your deep emotions that you feel in your heart, you have been depressed for so long, and you hid it from everyone. Your subconscious asked me to put a stop to the pain, to try to help you. This version of you, the one that I am dealing with? The one asking me why I am doing this? This is basically you when you are awake." Bluey groaned "That's exactly why your head hurts, you know I am right about you. It causes you to feel conflicted because you are looking for a reason to live, to still hang on, but why? For your sister who was not able to live out her own life? I told you…It would be better to just die"

Bluey grunted and looked at Midnight "So you were never here to help me, you were just my depression and now you are saying my suicidal thoughts?" Midnight nodded. "Give up" was her only response. "You give up…and go away"

Midnight faded then reappeared once again, her eyes were glowing brighter as the blurry thing that was behind her before became clear, it was Bingo's corpse. There were now familiar looking shadows behind Midnight that looked familiar, they were the shadows of her friends all arranged to be dead in some form, one that stood out was Mackenzie, who appeared to have a broken neck. Midnight now had blood covering the entirety of her arms "Very well Bluey, let me give you a rundown of what you have done" she cracked her neck and inhaled before she would speak again "You killed Bingo, she loved you, and you killed her" the crack would spread on her body again, however it would move more rapidly than it had been before, spreading to her legs. "Mum loved her, and you killed her" the cracks would finish spreading on her arms and move to her fingers. "Dad loved her, and you killed her" Soon it spread across her entire back "Lila loved her, and you killed her" the cracks spread to her tail, the pain was increasing with each crack forming at this point. "Chucky loved her, and you killed her" Bluey gritted her teeth as the cracks finally spread to her toes and up the back of her head. "You want to know the worst part about all of this Bluey?" Midnight asked. Bluey had looked like a glass figure that someone had glued the pieces back onto after it fell before "W-what?" Midnight finally grinned as her eyes shined, then she pointed at Bluey with her grin forming into a smirk "You loved Bingo, and you killed her" Bluey gasped as the cracking spread to her face and ears.

Bluey was now in immense, unbelievable pain, tears slid down her cheeks and her breathing had increased. She tried calming down but it would be to no avail this time. Midnight's cracks had completely vanished "I did try helping you, I really did try my best. Then when you did not accept the answer of just living a cautious life…I decided to give you this answer. So that way you would never have to feel pain again, so that you could never hurt anyone…never kill anyone ever again" She walked to Bluey and placed her hand on Bluey's chin "I am not just trying to help you from the past, but from the future as well. What if Mackenzie decided to leave you for one of your own friends? You would feel betrayed and devastated" She looked to Bluey's stomach "What if you have a miscarriage like mum did? Infertility is genetic" Bluey could feel her heart beating faster as her fears would arise. "What if Mackenzie wanted another child and…oh I don't know…one kills the other?" Bluey's eyes widened "Shut up…" she said weakly "You are not even real!" she shouted at Midnight. Midnight nodded "I am not…but I am…only to you though" Bluey tried taking step but pain would shoot through and blood would leak through the cracks, her heartbeat would increase as she looked at Midnight "You could lose everything, but it could be avoided if you listen to my advice this time" Bluey shook her head as she was crying more now. "Just submit Bluey…don't reject me anymore, the pain will be over if you just die, and nobody would hate you…ever….again" she then smirked "Also if you die, you can be with Bingo again, and apologize to her personally. In the end, everyone will be much happier knowing that a murderer has died" Bluey dropped to her knees and sobbed hysterically, she was overwhelmed and believed that Midnight was right. "You should just die" Midnight said as Bluey's body dropped on the fake desert's sand. Midnight would wait for Bluey to make her final choice.
