Ok, so first to godzillafan1. (I'm not counting this as a spoiler) But sadly, yes, this indeed is the end of the Rodans. Our first important monsters causalities. Take comfort in that they were not killed in vain or on a whim. Their departure was planned out far in advance and is to play an important part in events yet to come. Their deaths will definitely have a major impact on the story moving forward. Remember though, sometimes new beginnings come from other beginning's end. (To paraphrase the theme of a popular song.)
A Follow Homie, I believe I heard that quote about the ocean from an educational program I was watching on Discovery or maybe a Youtube video. It's likely been mentioned in a movie or two as well. But as best I can tell, it's pretty simply a fact. I think I recall the program saying that we actually know more about the surface of Mars than the bottom of the ocean. So I don't believe there are submarines that can go all the way too the bottom even today with our modern advances in technology.
A general announcement for everyone:
I'm going to be going on vacation soon and I 'also' have to do my super-fun, (every two years), continuing education for my medical license. Meaning… 20 hours total of CEUs. Yay... So, I'm not quite sure when the next chapter will be ready. 'Maybe' the first week of October. I don't see it happening much before then though.
And for anyone who hasn't checked it out yet, the most recent chapter posted over on TohoKingdom has a lot of pictures of Kaiju featured during the cascade of monsters you simply couldn't see here because fanfic doesn't have an option for posting pictures. There were probably close to 20 monsters altogether. Some familiar faces, and some newbies. Plenty of easter eggs. It might give some of you something to think about while you wait for a fresh chapter to be written.
