It all made sense to Draco.

He would run after a big black dog under the Whomping Willow and into the Shrieking Shack for Harry. He would run straight towards a Dark Mark after him.

He felt a certain way about Harry that isn't how friends are supposed to feel about one another. He had feelings for him.

Last night helped him realize that. He wanted to be this close to him all the time. He wanted to look into those emerald green eyes all the time, see the light freckles on his cheeks and nose that no one else could, and feel his dark hair. All the time. He wanted to hug him, tightly, and never let go.

Harry, on the other hand, was left very confused, and decided to pretend nothing happened last night, which was simply heartbreaking for Draco.

Harry also had to deal with the whole being a champion thing. He was accused of illegally getting into the tournament, so he was getting a lot of shit for it from almost every student at Hogwarts. He also needed to worry about the first task coming up on November 24th. Only a few weeks from now.

This was bad timing.

Draco realized that, so he did not bring it up, but he wished Harry would.

"Are you alright?" Hermione asked him one day. "You've been unusually quiet lately."

The three of them were studying together, and Harry had just left to the bathroom.

Draco simply shrugged.

"What's on your mind?"

"I think I have feelings for someone."

"Oh?" Hermione said, intrigued.

"Don't tell anyone."

"I won't."

"Including Harry."

"Who is she?" Hermione asked.

"What are you two talking about?" Harry just came back from the bathroom.

"The tournament." Hermione lied. She's a very good liar, Draco noticed.

"Yeah, Hagrid wanted me to go by his hut tonight." Harry told the two, "he says it's something to do with the tournament."

"I have an essay due tomorrow that I haven't finished yet." Hermione cannot make it.

"I'll come with you." Draco volunteered.

And so, the two of them snuck out, after curfew, under the invisibility cloak, which was starting to get a bit too small to cover the both of them.

"Ouch, careful." Draco stepped on Harry's foot.

"Sorry."

They got to Hagrid's hut and waited outside, under the cloak, as instructed. Draco has never been inside Hagrid's hut.

They watched as Madame Maxime, the Beauxbatons Headmistress, went inside the hut, and ten minutes later she left with Hagrid, and the both of them went into the Forbidden Forest.

Harry and Draco followed.

"Are we third wheeling Hagrid and Madame Maxime?" Draco asked.

"Shush!"

They followed the two until they stopped. Harry looked around him, and realized what the first task was.

Dragons.
