The wind blew beautifully over the Lothal grasslands. Ezra had been home for a few weeks and Hera and Jacen had come for a visit. When Ezra met Kanan's son, it was brotherly love at first sight. He was currently giving the ten-year-old a piggyback ride, or Loth-wolf-back ride, as Ezra liked to call it, while Sabine and Hera watched and sipped iced tea.

"Go left, Ez!!", Jacen shouted, "I sense some Loth-Cats over there!!" Ezra chuckled and followed the boy's directions. "You got it, bud!!" He veered left and they indeed found a gaggle of Loth-Cats hanging around in a small clearing in the grass. Surprisingly, the animals didn't scatter or run away. Ezra was confused by this since he hadn't made a conscious effort to connect with them. "Jacen? Are you calming them down?"

"I... I think so? I'm not really trying", he said as he looked at his hands after Ezra set him down, "I'm just letting them know I mean no harm and I guess they're doing the same thing."

As they watched, Sabine couldn't help but comment. "He's really good with Jacen", she said before beginning to take a drink. Hera smiled and nodded in agreement. "He really is... Does this make you consider having kids with him?" Sabine spat out her tea and looked at Hera with an expression of utter shock. "H-Hera!! We've only been a couple for less than a month!!"

"So?", Hera asked, "I highly doubt you two will be going your separate ways any time soon, most likely not at all, so I think you should consider the possibility." Sabine wiped her lips and then looked back across the field to see Ezra and Jacen currently covered in Loth-Cats. As she watched the man she loved bond with his surrogate brother, the idea of him having similar experiences with his children- with her children became an idea she couldn't get out of her head.

Blushing dark red, Sabine cleared her throat and then took another drink. "He has to ask me to marry him first."

Ezra proposed to Sabine less than three months later.

I hare this thing, Ezra complained as he tugged at the tight collar of the dark orange tunic he was wearing. Truth be told, as uncomfortable as the outfit was, he would never truly be able to say he hated it...

...because it was the outfit that he was going to be wearing when Sabine Wren became his wife.

After he proposed, they had only taken a few short weeks to plan the wedding. It would be a small affair, attended only by their closest friends and family. As per Lothal tradition, they would exchange gold rings and make personal vows. And as per Mandalorian tradition, they would say the standard Mando'a marriage vows. Ezra had been studying the language intimately so as to not mess up. He looked out at the audience and saw Hera, Zeb, Jacen, Jai, Ryder, Mrs. Sumar, and a few others on one side of the seating arrangements, and on the other side were Sabine's parents, Tristan, Ketsu, and Lady Bo-Katan Kryze. Suddenly, a hush fell over the crowd as a lone figure came over the hill behind them.

I hate this thing, Sabine whined in her mind as she walked down the hill towards the ceremony, her long dark-magenta dress flowing behind her. She was wearing tight dress shoes that dug into her feet, struggling to walk on the heels in the Lothal grass. Even as a child of Mandalorian nobility, Sabine had hated formal dress. But despite her complaints, she would never get rid of the dress...

because it was the dress she would be wearing when Ezra Bridger became her husband.

As she walked down the aisle between their family and friends, Sabine made eye contact with Ezra and her heart melted. He looked so handsome with his beard neatly trimmed and his hair done up in a ponytail similar to how Kanan used to wear his.

Ezra had to use every last ounce of willpower to keep his jaw attached to his face when he laid eyes upon his Mandalorian warrior bride. The sunlight seemed to reflect off of her skin making her glow like a goddess, and the way her hips swayed with every step proved that it was possible for him to become even more attracted to her.

"Hey", Sabine said meekly when she stood across from her beloved.

"Hey", he responded, "You look amazing."

"So do you... very Jedi-like", she teased with a soft giggle. Ezra playfully rolled his eyes and reached into his pocket, pulling out a gold ring and sliding it onto Sabine's left ring finger.

"Sabine, you are the most important person in my life. You're the one I've always been able to rely on and I promise that no matter what we may face in the future, you'll never have to face it alone. I love you and I give you my everything with this ring."

The Mandalorian was unable to keep her eyes from welling up with tears as she listened to Ezra's vow, her heart beating out of her chest. She managed to calm herself down as she reached into her own pocket (the dress was made with a pocket just for this) and pulled out another ring, sliding it onto Ezra's left hand.

"Ezra... I realized all too late just how much you meant to me, and I don't want to spend another day without you knowing. You are my best friend, my life, my whole world. Everywhere you go, I will be there. I love you and I give you my everything with this ring."

The first step complete, they held each other's hands and Ezra took a deep breath to calm himself. Since she was the Mandalorian, Sabine started off:

"Mhi solus tome." We are one together.

"Mhi solus dhar'tome." We are one when parted.

"Mhi me'dinui an." We share all.

"Mhi ba'juri verde." We will raise warriors.

Ezra cleared his throat and prayed to the Force that he would get this right. He looked into Sabine's eyes and saw nothing but love and support behind them, so he decided to take the leap.

"Mhi solus tome." We are one together.

"Mhi solus dhar'tome." We are one when parted.

"Mhi me'dinui an." We share all.

"Mhi ba'juri verde." We will raise warriors.

When he finished, Sabine wrapped her arms around him and gave him the most passionate kiss she had ever given, the Jedi eagerly reciprocating as their family and friends applauded the newlyweds.

Sabine Wren is my wife, he thought.

Ezra Bridger is my husband, she mused.

When they separated, Ezra pressed his forehead against Sabine's and she smiled deviously. "Tower. After the party", she whispered. Ezra blushed deeply, knowing what she meant.

Nine months after their wedding, Ezra was fulfilling his promise that Sabine would never face any hardships alone...

...and he was getting his hand broken for his trouble.

"AAAAAGH!!!", she exclaimed as her body was wracked by another contraction, "Ezra, it hurts!!" He rubbed her shoulder and transmitted some soothing Force waves to her. "I know, love, I know. I'm here." He was able to resist showing the pain she was inflicting by squeezing his hand.

The midwife smiled and looked up at them. "Alright, Sabine, this is it. Push!!" The Mandalorian gritted her teeth and screamed as she used all her strength, her cries soon mixing with the cries of a delicate newborn. The doctors severed the umbillical cord and swaddled the baby in cloths and handed it to Ezra. "Congratulations, Mr. Bridger. It's a beautiful baby girl."

Ezra looked at the baby's face and his heart lit up. She had the cutest round face and a patchy head of hair that he already knew would grow to be the same color as is. When her eyes opened, Ezra gasped audibly. "Sabine... look."

Sabine took her baby from her husband and her eyes widened. The baby's eyes were different colors. One matched hers and the other matched Ezra's.

"Ez... she's... she's so beautiful", she sobbed as her eyes welled up with tears. Ezra kissed her cheek and laid in bed beside his wife. "Just like her mom."

Several months later, Ezra was sitting on the floor across from his baby girl. "Come on, Mira... come to Daddy.. come on." He patted his lap eagerly and the infant looked up from her pile of toys, smiling when her father beckoned her over. She kept her favorite stuffed Loth-Cat wrapped tightly in her small chubby hand as she crawled across the playmat to Ezra. Seeing his child come closer gave Ezra more joy than could possibly be measured.

Sabine was sitting on the sofa drinking caf as she watched, her heart overflowing with joy as her dream of seeing Ezra bond with her child- their child came true.
