Hello everyone back with a new chapter and I know I just uploaded yesterday. However as a writer my mind is always on the go with ideas and how to make this story go. And as such here's the first chapter. After years of practice and having a book published and a second one coming I've learned better pacing. And as such this will be a slow burn of a story but I promise it'll be worth it. Please R thanks.
Rated M for strong graphic violence, strong sexual content, and strong language.

Chapter One
2 1/2 years earlier.
The last of the wreckage from the Lorwidian invasion was loaded onto a flatbed trailer. Middleton was finally cleared of the wreckage and fully rebuilt. People returned to their lives, no longer fighting for survival. In the town square sat a board, pictures of missing people still posted up around it. Some people stood in front of the pictures, staring at the faces of missing loved ones. In front of the board sat flowers and other effects to memorialize the fallen.
Kim walked down the street, her coat pulled up to protect herself from the nipping mountain air. Her breath floated out of her mouth. She watched as children played in the snow around the town. College was over for her and now her life as a vet was beginning. Walking up to her office she opened the door. Setting her coat on the rack she smiled moving towards the counter.
She started working on her files, setting out what she had to do for the day. Sitting down she looked over to the image of her and Ron at Bueno Nacho. She smiled, thinking of the fond memories. Another set of pictures caught her attention. They were images of a black-haired woman and herself. It was a collection of photo-booth pictures of her and Shego. It was taken at a time when Electroniquie had made her go good briefly. She found herself thinking of the raven haired beauty. Her mind had preoccupied as of late with her.
The door opened breaking her train of thought. Ron came in shivering from the cold wind. She smiled, getting up from her seat. Rufus jumped out of his pocket shivering from the cold as well. "Hey KP," he called walking into the office.
"Hey Ron," she spoke leaning over the counter to kiss him. Rufus squeaked and huffed feeling he was being ignored by her. "Hey to you too Rufus," she spoke, rubbing her finger on his head.
"I'm ready to be your assistant for the day," Ron spoke in an elated tone.
"Good, we open in ten minutes," Kim said handing him a clipboard. "Just have the customers sign in, and let me know when they arrive."
"Can do KP," he replied moving around the counter. He took a seat at the desk, his eyes scanning over all the objects on it. "Swanky," he said glancing up to her and smiling.
She smiled back before walking to her examination room. Opening the door to a cabinet she stopped, noticing the picture of her and Shego taped to the inside of the door. She smiled briefly, touching the picture she closed her eyes. The door opened again, and once again her thoughts were broken. She heard Ron greet the person who had entered the building. "Let's get this day going," she spoke closing the door.

Shego opened her cabinet door and looked at the glasses situated in it. Reaching up she took one down. She carried it over to the fridge and opened it up. Her eyes fell on a bottle of soda. Taking it out she poured herself a glass. She stood in the kitchen of her apartment. With having enough money from her past life as a world class thief she was able to live comfortably at twenty-six. She did have a roommate which helped her on a lot of things allowing her to retain much of her wealth.
Her life of being a thief was behind her and after being pardoned of her past crimes she could live peacefully. She split with Drakken, wanting to leave that part of her life behind. Her attention was caught as a rope was thrown over the tree limb out back of the apartment. Walking over to the window she watched as a deer was hoisted up and hung from a tree.
Jacob stood outside in the cold mountain air. His beard was long and shaggy. He wore a brown carhart coat that was stained with blood. He tapped the stiff body of the buck that hung from the tree. Smiling he turned and saw Shego watching him. He smiled and waved to her.
Shego opened the window briefly. "There better be jerky being made if you want to keep living here," she ordered, smiling as he gave her a thumbs up.
She closed the window shivering from the cold. She walked around the house, wearing a green t-shirt and black sweatpants. She moved to the living room and turned on the television to see the news playing. She listened as scientists talked about future applications that the alien technology could hold. Turning the channel she found soap operas, sports channels, and finally she fell on some movie.
"It's better than nothing," she grumbled, throwing her leg over her knee.
Just as she got comfortable a knock came from the door making her roll her eyes. Getting up she moved across the room until she came to the door. Opening it she stepped back in shock. She stared at her white-haired sister Destiny Go.
"Destiny, what are you doing here?" Shego asked. Destiny smiled at her before stepping into the apartment. "Come on in why don't you," Shego spoke closing the door behind her sister.
"A big sister can't visit her baby sister?" Destiny asked looking around the apartment. "Nice place you got here. Did you steal it?"
"How would someone even steal an apartment?" she asked before shaking her head, remembering all the things Drakken had stolen. "You know what, never mind. Of course a sister can visit, you just never have before."
Destiny walked over to the counter and leaned up against it. She ran her fingers through her hair. With a sigh she focused on Shego. "Samantha, I didn't want to go the rest of our lives without speaking. I know you wanted to steal things cause it gave you a thrill. I didn't want to be overbearing on you like our parents were," she started explaining, judging her sister's reaction to her words.
"Destiny, you weren't like our parents. You at least tried to give me space and for that I won't resent you. But, no text, no calls, not even a friendly 'Fuck You' email. Now all of a sudden you pop up out of the blue, cause you want to see me," Shego spoke walking over to the fridge and refilling her glass.
"Like I said, I wanted to give you space. I wanted to be able to come back into your life without you hating me," Destiny spoke crossing her arms.
Just then the back door opened and Jacob walked in. He stomped his boots on the mat brushing the snow off. He let out a shivering sound as he pulled his carhart off. "It's colder than a witch's tit out there. Good for hanging deer," he spoke before turning to the two women. He stopped when he saw the white-haired woman. "Hi," he spoke with a smile. "Didn't know we were expecting company."
"We weren't, Jacob this is my older sister Destiny," Shego spoke introducing them.
Jacob walked forward smiling. He prepared to extend his hand to her but stopped taking notice of the blood on it. He stopped, offering a sheepish grin. "Let me get cleaned up first," he spoke turning towards the bathroom.
Once out of earshot Destiny looked to Shego. "Boyfriend?" she inquired.
"No, not my type. Just a friend, he lives here and helps with things. Plus he hunts so there's a steady supply of deer meat," she spoke, Destiny just nodding slightly.
"Look, I'll be around for a few days. I'd like to try and rebuild our relationship before you become a criminal," Destiny offered, watching her sister closely.
Shego stared down at her glass in her hand. Thinking about everything she had bee trying to do. How she had started over, trying a new chapter in her life. Her head lifted back up to her sister. Nodding slightly she gave a smirk to her. "I would like that, I want to start over anyway," she answered smiling at her. "Come back over tomorrow night, we'll have dinner."
"Sounds like a plan," Destiny spoke.
The bathroom door opened gaining her attention. Jacob walked back out this time with clean hands and a new shirt. Walking over to her he extended a hand to Destiny. "Jacob Mathews," he introduced himself.
"Destiny Go, pleasure," she offered a kind smile to him.
"Pleasure's all mine," he responded returning the smile.
"I'll see you tomorrow night then," Shego spoke watching her sister and Jacob smile to one another.
"Sounds good," Destiny spoke slowly releasing Jacob's hand. She started walking towards the door. She stopped looking back to both of them with a smile. Walking out of the door she left them standing there in silence.
"So your sister huh?" Jacob asked glancing to Shego who craned an eyebrow to him.
"Really, if I hear you say she's cute you're going through the window," she warned him watching him laugh.
"Okay, I just won't say it around you," he chuckled walking to the fridge. He yelped in pain as she smacked him upside the head.

Kim sat down in her chair and sighed. It had been a long day and she was exhausted. She focused on the papers laid out on the desk in front of her. She started placing the papers into different files. Placing them into the file cabinet, she checked the order.
"Bueno Nacho?" Ron asked walking up to her.
"Yeah, I'll catch you there gotta close up the shop," she responded smiling at him.
"Alright I'll order us two grande meals," he responded giving her a thumbs up. Rufus squealed in excitement at the dinner idea. Ron patted his pocket as he placed his coat back on.
Kim stopped briefly, glancing again at the pictures again. She stared at the images of her and Shego. Placing the pictures in her drawer she got up with a sigh. The door swung open catching her attention. To her surprise, Bonnie Rockweller was stand in the doorway.
"Bonnie?" Kim questioned in surprise.
"Kim, my puppy got into something she's not breathing," Bonnie cried, stroking an unmoving dog.
"Come on," she said motioning quickly.
She led Bonnie to the examination room. She gently took the choking dog from her. Opening the mouth she didn't see anything. Gently she started feeling the throat of the animal. She felt the small lump of a small object. She started pulling gently. Feeling the object start to move forward. She continued to move it until it rolled out of the the mouth. A small marble rolled across the table. The dog started coughing before gasping for breath. She gently patted the dog smiling down at the animal.
"Peaches," Bonnie squealed moving forward.
"She'll be okay, just keep an eye on her," Kim said smiling as she passed the puppy to Bonnie.
"Thank you, how much do I owe you?" Bonnie inquired reaching to her purse.
"Don't worry about it," Kim responded putting her hand up.
Bonnie looked at her in shock before stroking the head of her dog. She turned to leave, heading towards the door.
"Bonnie, you hungry?" Kim asked stopping her.
"A little," Bonnie replied turning back towards her.
"Come on, I'm meeting Ron at Bueno Nacho," Kim offered walking up to her side. The red-head turned and locked the door. She offered a kind smile to Bonnie who stared at her dumbfounded.
"Why are you being so nice after the way I treated you in high school?" Bonnie inquired following her down the street.
"Well, you did almost loose your dog. Wouldn't be right to be mean to you. Plus, we're adults now. Time to move on from childish nonsense," Kim explained, taking care to not step into the slush from the snow plows.
"Well, thank you again for saving Peaches, and the invitation to dinner," Bonnie spoke watching Kim nod to her.
"I'm actually surprised you're here. I figured you'd still be with Junior," Kim ventured crossing the road.
"That man, was more in love with himself and fashion than me. So I dumped him and came home," Bonnie answered walking behind her.
Kim shook her head at the thought as they made their way towards the restaurant. She held the door open for Bonnie who smiled to her. Ron was sitting in a booth. He waved his hand signaling Kim to join him. To her surprise she saw Yori sitting across from Ron.
"KP look who showed up," Ron called motioning to Yori.
"Greetings Kim Possible," Yori said bowing her head humbly.
"Hey Yori, glad to see you here. What you doing in Middleton?" Kim ventured taking her seat next to Ron.
"I was how you say 'In the Neighborhood'," Yori answered with a smile, sliding over to make room for Bonnie.
"KP, you know Bonnie is sitting across from you?" Ron asked in a rather loud whisper.
"I'm right here Ron," Bonnie commented making Ron sit up straight.
"I know Ron," Kim giggled glancing to him. "She's joining us for dinner."
He just nodded and started eating his food. Together they sat around the table catching up. They talked about different adventures they had in the few years they had been separated. Now as adults in their mid-twenties they could enjoy each other's company.
Hours had passed, Bonnie and Yori both left. Kim and Ron walked down the street together making their way back to their homes. Ron stopped in front of the door to Kim's house and smiled at her. She returned the smile albeit briefly. He went in for a kiss but she stopped him.
"Everything okay?" he ventured softly.
"Yeah, I've just had a lot on my mind," Kim answered flashing a smile to him.
"Okay KP, see you tomorrow," Ron said hugging her briefly.
Kim smiled and hugged him back before opening her door. Walking into her house she sat the keys in a dish. Flipping the lights on she walked through her house to see different pictures on the walls. Most were of her and her family. There were a few pictures of her with Ron. Some pictures of her when she was given awards including when they defeated the invasion.
One picture made her stop, it was a picture of her and Shego. When they had beaten the invasion. They were standing together both smiling in the picture. She remembered a moment from that picture that wasn't captured in that moment. Her pinky finger wrapped around Shego's. A small gesture but one that had more of an impact on her than she had even thought imaginable. Lifting her hand up, she stared at her own pinky finger. The memory seemingly stirred up at the thought. Her eyes darted up to the picture once more before she turned and continued down the hallway. The picture continued to stare forward with the smiles, forever frozen in a moment.

Shego sat in the dark of her house. The thoughts of seeing her sister after ten years still rattled through her head. Ice clattered around in her glass as she took a sip of her whiskey. Destiny was the only thing from her past she wanted to have any part of. She couldn't blame her sister for leaving, she would have too.
Taking another sip of her glass she realized she was empty. Getting up she moved across the room until she was in the kitchen. She refilled her glass, briefly pausing she glanced at the image on the counter of her and Kim. She let a smile go across her face as she stared at the picture of them after the invasion. She glanced down to her pinky finger, remembering when it locked with Kim's. The fond memory made her smile again before it faded away.
She never pursued it, knowing Kim was with Ron. Thinking of that alone caused her to take another drink. She let out a sigh as she grabbed the bottle and walked back over to the couch. Plopping down she let her mind wander around. Thinking between Destiny and Kim. She sat on the couch the rest of the night, eventually falling asleep with the bottle in hand and her mind consumed by both women.
