Chapter Four
Shego sat on her couch, looking at the picture of her and Kim. She stroked the picture thinking about the words her sister said. Her attention was grabbed as Jacob came out of his room. He was adjusting a button down plaid shirt. She smirked getting up. She walked around him, looking him over. He glanced at her, seeing her look him up and down.
"You've been acting different over the past few weeks," she pointed out.
"A man can't dress up nice to go out?" he inquired smirking.
"Your beard is trimmed, you're wearing a nice plaid shirt, nice pair of jeans, and even your pointy cowboy boots," she spoke, smirking up at him.
"Tell you what, you go talk to who's been consuming your mind then we'll talk about what's going on with me," he said, completely shutting her down. He just smirked and walked past her. "I'll be home late, don't wait up," he called, walking out of the door.
Shego flipped him the bird with a smirk. The smirk faded as she walked back over to the picture. Picking it up she looked back out the window. Walking over to the window she looked to Middleton as it started glowing in the night sky. Her eyes drifted down to the picture in her hand. Setting it on the counter, she walked over to the coat rack and took her coat down.
"Time to go outside my comfort zone," she spoke, walking out the door.

Ron stood in a restaurant pacing around nervously. He rubbed his hands together, nervously thinking about why he was here. He chose to move on his feelings and see what he could accomplish. His eyes looked around, seeing people enjoying their dinners.
He had decided to go out on this limb, explore this option in hopes it would work. He wore a nice button down shirt and jeans with a suit jacket. His hair had been styled and combed back.
"Ron," he heard Yori's voice from behind him.
He turned and his jaw went slack when he saw her. She wore a beautiful blue dress that was split up the side of her leg. It had two spaghetti straps that went up over her shoulders. She was smiling sweetly as she brushed some hair back over her ear.
"You look, wow," he stammered, watching her flush at his comment.
"Thank you," she spoke sweetly.
He held open the door for her, letting her cross the threshold first. He followed her and walked towards the hostess. She guided them to a booth and seated them. They smiled to one another as their server walked up.
"What can I get you two to drink?" She asked them.
"Coke for me," Ron said, his attention turning to Yori.
"I'll have the same," Yori responded smiling.
The waitress walked away toward the kitchen leaving them there in silence. Ron nervously fidgeted with his fingers. Glancing up he watched her just smile sweetly at him.
"So, uh, nice weather huh?" He nervously chuckled,
"Yes, if you enjoy snow," Yori chuckled.
Ron chuckled nervously again. The waitress walked up, carrying their glasses. She sat them on the table in front of them. "Y'all ready to order?" she spoke, looking between them.
"You ready?" Ron asked Yori.
"I'll have chicken alfredo," Yori answered, smiling up at the waitress.
"Okay, and for you?" The waitress responded, writing it down on her pad.
"The nacho platter," Ron answered.
"Excellent, they'll be out momentarily," The waitress answered, taking their menus.
Once gone Yori turned to focus on Ron once more. She smiled sweetly, watching as Ron nervously tugged at the collar of his shirt. She could see how nervous he was. "So, how are you?" she ventured, trying to calm him down.
"Right now or in general?" he chuckled nervously.
"In general," she giggled, her chin resting on her hand.
"Well, very well," Ron spoke sitting up. "Is it hot in here?" he asked tugging at the collar of his shirt. "I'll be right back," he panicked getting up.
He moved across the restaurant until he was in the restroom. He stood and looked at himself in the mirror. Beads of sweat dripped from his forehead. He grabbed a paper towel and wiped away the sweat. He panted slightly, staring at his reflection. "Come on man, get it together," he told himself.
A flush startled him. Another man walked up to the sink. The bearded man started washing his hands before taking notice of Ron. He offered him a smile, watching Ron just nervously chuckle.
"You're on a date aren't you?" he asked, washing his hands.
"Yeah, is it that obvious?" Ron chuckled.
"Yeah, it is," the man responded, turning the faucet off. He looked Ron up and down. "I'm on one right now too."
"How are you not nervous?" Ron asked.
"Oh, believe me I am. Very much so," he paused, holding up his thumb. "Cut myself the other day in front of her. I was so embarrassed, but, it worked out."
"Okay, so how are you keeping it under control?" Ron asked as the man started drying his hands.
"It's not easy, but, I'm keeping it under control. I'm covering it with confidence. I want this relationship to last. Be confident dude, it'll work out," he explained, throwing the paper towel out. He walked over to look at Ron. Reaching forward he pushed the collar of his shirt down. He then unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. "She came on this date with you. She's obviously into you too. Just be confident, go out there and rock it," the man said, patting Ron on his shoulder.
Ron watched him leave. He looked back to the mirror. "You got this," Ron reassured himself, walking out of the restroom. He walked through the restaurant. He noticed the man at a table with a white haired woman. He gave him a bandaged thumb up. Ron nodded and made his way back to the table.
He sat down and looked at Yori who had patiently waited for him. He smiled at her and let out a sigh.
"Ron," she said, getting his attention.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"I'm enjoying myself," she spoke, smiling at him.
"Really, I've been nothing but a nervous wreck," he questioned confused.
Yori smiled her hand going across the table. She took Ron's hand in hers. She looked up at him. "I'm enjoying being with you," she said, holding his hand.
"Good, because I had no idea how I was going to show confidence," Ron laughed, shaking his head.
The waitress brought their food to them. Ron looked at the nachos. His head lifted up to Yori who was still smiling at him. Her words and that man's words ringing in his head. He smiled, watching her continue to smile at him. Together they enjoyed their food.
Once done they left the restaurant and walked down the street. As they walked snow flurries started falling around them. They made their way toward a building where Yori was living now. She stopped and turned to face him.
"I had a very pleasant time tonight," she reassured him.
"You sure?" he asked, making her giggle.
Instead of saying anything she stepped towards him. His eyes grew wide, her hands came up and rested on his chest. Leaning up she placed her lips to his. His eyes shot wider at the realization she was kissing him. Slowly his eyes closed as their kiss deepened. Pulling back she smiled up at him.
"Do you believe me now?" she asked.
"Uh-huh," he smiled at her. He leaned in and kissed her again. His arms going around her slender frame.

Kim walked to the reception desk. She took a file from Ron. She noticed he had been smiling all day. Flipping through the file she glanced to Ron who was filling out some paperwork.
"Who is she?" Kim ventured, watching Ron closely.
"It's Yori," Ron replied, glancing up to her.
"Yori, good, she's a good woman for you," Kim said smiling. "I'm happy for you," she said with a truly genuine smile.
"Thanks KP," he said, smiling up at her.
"Any more patients today?" she asked, looking back to the file in her hand.
"Nope, the last one just left," he answered, smiling up at her.
"Well, we can start closing up then," she said starting to sweep the floor.
Once they were finished cleaning the shop Ron left allowing her to close up. She came up to the door preparing to lock it up. A shadow fell over her gaining her attention. She looked at the figure standing in the doorway.
"Sorry, we're closed," she said, looking at the figure. As she stared at the figure she felt like she recognized it. Her head cocked to the side.
"Well, I don't have a pet unless you count my roommate," the woman said in a very familiar voice.
When she heard the voice her eyes grew wide. She watched the woman step into the light. To her surprise she saw Shego standing in the doorway looking at her. She let a smile move across her face as Shego just smirked at her. "Shego?" she asked softly.
"Hey Princess," Shego said, using the nickname Kim hadn't heard in a long time.
