Bella
Bella could not stop smiling. She had received a text, saying, "Beautiful, I miss you." It had been a few days since her date with the man and Bella had been torn over whether to continue on. For her fear was the greatness of feeling prominent for the man was what caused the flattery and nothing else.
Was what he said true?
Bella had recalled years ago how a man had once argued with her that he was not lying as he had intended what he said to be true. It was not his fault later if he changed his mind since the woman could not inspire him to act to it, to what he promised. Like "truth" was something that could ignore those recognized and accepted designations between those in conversation rather than a liar using designations that allowed him to have what was unreal appear true. But he had argued he was not a liar, but something else.
Bella sighed to think of the damage the man had caused, her time wasted. For a liar is a man that no one should trust, he is to be excluded, shunned; for the man, the liar, he has demonstrated he is nothing but an imposter. But she did not want to believe all men acted that way. She wanted to believe.
"I've been thinking about you, too."
Bella texted back, having feared she was in danger. She was beginning to suspect the time with the man was doing something to her. It had her biting her lip.
Caution seemed it should be shown though. But how would Bella guard her heart?
"We should see each other again."
If she wanted this to end, she should walk away. She should not respond. But she feared she was going to text him back. A thrill ran through her each time she remembered how he had smiled at her at the restaurant.
"Tell me more about yourself."
Bella suspected it might only be through conversation she should learn how far she should go. But seeing him, actions usually proved more powerful.
"My mother is Italian. It where I get the dark hair."
While the message was charming, it did not give Bella what she needed. Perhaps, she was going to have to agree to another date?
