Chapter 6

When we arrived at the Pokemon Center, we got a call from Professor Elm. Elm says, "Hello, guys! How is your gym battle going?"

"It is easy, we got the first badge." Ash says as he shows the Zephyr Badge. "But why are you calling us?"

"We've discovered something! The details are…Well, I can't really say anything, but we want you to carry that Egg! My assistant is at the Poké Mart in Violet City. Could you go meet him and pick up that Egg?" Elm says.

Then we all head to the Poke Mart, and we manage to find Professor Elm's assistant. "Long time no see. I've been waiting for you. This is from Professor Elm. The thing is...we would like you to take care of an Egg!"

I say, "We already have a Togepi. Why don't you take it, Ethan?"

"Are you sure? Thanks, bro." He says.

The assistant continues, "After you left, Professor Elm received a phone call. I have no idea what they were talking about. But, after a while, Professor Elm suddenly cried out. "I can't think of anyone more suited than those trainers!" Then he insisted that I hand this egg to you. That's how I came here to deliver the Egg to you. It seems that a Pokemon will hatch from it only when you keep it in your party of Pokemon. That's another reason we've chosen you. Please take care of it!"

"We will." We say as we are heading outside of the mart. Just then, we see a woman wearing a kimono walking towards us.

"Me oh my...that Egg must be...!" The woman gasps.

"You know this egg?" Kris asks, "It was a gift from Mr. Pokemon to Professor Elm, and then Professor Elm gave it to us."

"This egg is truly important. Please do take good care of it for me." The woman says. "Is that understood? I'm counting on you."

Then she leaves, and East asks, "Who is she and why is she interested in our egg?"

"I don't know." Lillie says, "But let's not think of it."

As we continue our journey, we go to Route 36 because a man is giving the two of us the HM for Rock Smash, which is an HM that I haven't gotten in Kanto. Then we see a Marill being tied on a truck thanks to Team Rocket. Reisa goes to save her, only to have a commotion on the back of the truck. The truck eventually crashes into a railing and Team Rocket blasts off into the air once again. Pikachu and Marill end up rolling down the hill towards the riverside. Reisa continues down the hill and successfully grabs the two Pokémon. Unfortunately, she can't stop and falls into the river.

When we search for Reisa, we find her being surrounded by Team Rocket again. "Chikorita, use Vine Whip to save her!" "You too!"

We come in time and save them, and they send out Arbok and Weezing. Arbok's Poison Sting attack almost hits Reisa, but Marill uses Water Gun to save her. After that, Pikachu blows Team Rocket away with Thunderbolt. After the events, Marill joins Reisa's team as we continue their journey.

At Route 32, I look at the map and say, "If we go south, we will be heading to Union Cave, which is where we are going."

"Indeed. But for now, how about we capture some Pokemon?" Lillie asks.

"Sure, that sounds fun." I say.

On the way, we are stopped by a man. "Wait up! What's the hurry? You have some good Pokemon there. It must be from the training you gave them around Violet City. The Training at the Gym must have been especially helpful. As a souvenir of Violet City, take this. It increases the power of Grass, Fire, and Water Type moves."

They then get a Miracle Seed, Charcoal, and Mystic Water from the man, much to our surprise, after that, we thank the man as we continue our journey. T

In the grass, we start to capture some Pokemon that we are interested in. The first Pokemon is Mareep, when it smothers Pikachu, he retaliates with a Thunder Shock. However, Mareep's thick fleece absorbs the attack and grows in size. Soon enough, more Mareep appear and gather around Pikachu. He zaps them all, causing their wool to get very fluffy.

"There are so many of them." Reisa says.

"I know, but I only need one Mareep in my team." I say as I capture the first one that smothers Pikachu.

Mareep: The Wool Pokemon: Electric Type. If static electricity builds in its body, its fleece doubles in volume. Touching it will shock you.

And while we continue, Reisa mutters, "I think we have done a lot of walking..."

"Yeah, my feet are seemingly killing me..." Lillie says.

As for me and the other three, we're talking about our past battles, and I mutter, "You know, these days we have been battling those Team Rocket trio and nothing else."

"They really are annoying. I mean, how did you actually stand against them following you in Kanto?" Kris asks.

"I am also surprised myself." I say. "I think maybe I should just use Charizard to send them flying."

East says, "That also reminds me, didn't you have two Charizard? I mean, I only see you using one of them."

"Serena is having the other one." I reply. "But recently she texted me a message that she found someone to help with Charla's training."

"Did you mention Charla?" We look up to see a girl standing at the cliffside. I say, "Um, yeah. Who are you and did you know my Charizard?"

"A few days ago, a girl with honey-blonde hair named Serena asked me to help train a Charizard named Charla." The girl says. "And you can hear things in these canyons for a while."

Then she yells Charla, and much to our surprise, we see some Flamethrowers in the sky. Ethan asks, "What is that place?"

Lillie looks at the Rotom Phone and says, "It looks like the Charisific Valley, a well-known Charizard habitat that is officially off-limits to tourists."

"My name is Liza. I trained Charizard. You must be Ash that Serena mentioned." Liza says to me.

"Yeah. That's me. So Serena has come here before us? That's fast..." I say.

"And I see that you also have a Charizard as well." Liza says. "If you ask why I know, you have a scent of the Charizard in your pocket, and I heard a trainer beat Falkner's Pidgeotto with a Charizard. Would you like to visit the Charisific Valley with me?"

"Uh... okay, I would like to see how Charla's doing as well." I say.

Then Charla arrives with a hot air balloon, and when she notices me, she gives me a hug. "Charla! It's so great to see you again! I should probably introduce some of my friends."

After introducing, Kris asks, "Um, Ash... did you seriously have this Charizard wearing a pink bow on top of the head?"

I say, "Serena and Charla seem to like the bow." Then I look at the balloon, "But there isn't enough room for us to ride on the balloon..."

"If that's the case, how about 3 of us ride on your Charizard while three of us are on the balloon?" East asks.

Then after deciding, it is Lillie, Kris, and I riding on my Charizard while the other three ride on the balloon. Charizard is also happy to see Charla, and Lillie asks me, "By the way, Ash. Is Charizard and Charla a couple yet?"

I flinch a little before replying, "Most of the time Charizard has been ignoring me while doing his own stuff. I never got to know what he thinks about Charla. Charla was really mad when he did that. But after the League, I don't know..."

Then once we arrive at the valley, Liza mentions its history and how the Charizard trains naturally without humans by battling each other, with the intense competition making them the strongest worldwide.

Charizard wants to show his strength, which only causes Charla to sigh. "Only weak Charizard show off like that. If you don't mind me saying so, he could have some serious training."

Charizard fires a Flamethrower to disprove this and he wants to have a battle with the Charizard in the valley. Liza shows us all the other Charizard, and we are shocked at the larger size. One larger Charizard walks by and Liza points out that if my Charizard can defeat it, he may qualify to join.

"Are you sure that Charizard can do it?" Lillie asks.

"Well, I don't know...but if Charla can do it, I think there may be a chance, right? Charla?" Charla stays quiet as she is still watching.

Charizard marches up behind it and hits it in the face with Flamethrower. However, the wild Charizard inhales the attack and retaliates with its own, leaving my own Charizard burnt, and he collapses. Charizard gets back up and shakes off the dust as Liza points to one sleeping, mentioning that despite it being larger than mine, it is still the gentlest of the Charizard.

Charizard confronts that one and fires another Flamethrower, but the wild Charizard hardly reacts and simply lashes its tail, tossing Charizard into a wall. Liza says, "I think it is obvious, it seems that your Charizard doesn't have the power to match the Charizard here."

I frown and say, "Hey, Charizard. Don't give up. You are still the great Charizard for me."

Charizard refuses to listen and tries to attack again, but another lash from the gentle Charizard knocks him down.

"That Charizard is not strong enough to match him." Charla says to me. "Can you tell him to give up?"

"You do know how Charizard continues to defy me. It will be a miracle if I can get him to stop." I reply to her, but I still try to stop him, but Charizard persists and continues to get beaten, eventually getting kicked out of the valley. Charizard struggles to climb up the stairs, but Liza kicks us out of the valley and closes the gates. "I think you should get more training before you come back."

I sigh, but Charizard continues to beat the gates, I frown and look away. "Ash?" Lillie asks with concern.

"Charla. Charizard needs to calm down. Do anything to stop him." I say.

Charla frowns before tossing Charizard into the lake. Reisa says, "But Charizard is a Fire Type..."

"Yeah, but he can't become a great Charizard if he acts tough and does not respect his own limitations. It has been a bad habit since the Kanto Journey." I say. "Charizard. You have to stay and cool down. And let's think about how to improve yourself."

Charizard is having tears in his eyes, and he roars at the gate. That night, he doesn't want to leave, and the others are watching him.

"Charizard stayed there since the afternoon, I wonder if he is okay?" Reisa says.

Charla decides to talk to Charizard, but Charizard just ignores her warning and keeps staying there. Charla sees how much Charizard is determined to get in, she starts to get attracted by this side of him.

The next morning, I wake up and still see Charizard still sitting in place. "You made it through the night." I say. "Charizard wants to get stronger this badly, it will be wrong to stand in its way."

Charla agrees with my words, but then, Team Rocket shows up once again, and this time they are trying to break into the valley by slamming the gates. Charizard confronts the mecha and hits it with a Flamethrower, causing it to explode and send Team Rocket blasting off.

"Hey, you did it. Charizard!" I say, and just then, the gates open, revealing an applauding Liza. "You can train with us now if you like."

Ethan asks, "This doesn't make any sense. Now he can enter because he beat Team Rocket?"

"Anyone can beat those three. Because it's proven it wants to be great. Don't you agree?"

The other Charizard roars in agreement. But for some reason, I feel something aching in my heart.

"That is great, Charizard. You can train with Charla." Lillie says.

Charizard nods and Charla smiles happily at him. But I just can't feel happiness... because it is really hard to leave Charizard and Charla for other trainers to train. I lower my head and say, "Then maybe you should just stay here."

Charizard and Charla look at me with surprise. "Stay here if you want to, I can be fine without you. Who wants a weak Charizard anyway? So stay here."

Everyone gasps at what I'm saying, East says, "Ash... what are you?"

"Well, I guess this is goodbye. You got a lot of things to learn, they're waiting for both of you." I mutter while turning my back at them. "I'll see you around sometime."

Then I started running, I really don't like farewells, but both of them have to stay. I just hope that even if they're training, they're not going to forget me.

"Ash! Wait!" Kris says as Lillie, Reisa, East, Ethan, and Kris chase after me. Pikachu also says goodbye to Charizard and Charla before running off as well.

Here is a new chapter, and this is the Charizard farewell chapter and I hope you like it. The next chapter is going to be more Pokemon capturing.
