Back at the blazing campsite, Dracula and Lucy were panicking, because of how Mavis, Johnny, Leni, and Luan are saying that they are coming home sooner then they thought.
"How do we get home?", Lucy asked, "We have no car.". "Hey guys,", Lincoln said, "I think I found Blobby!", showing the others that Blobby was still on his scooter, and he has lots of tree branches, bugs, and even a squirrel in his body.
"Sorry, Blobby.", Dracula said, "We should have called you earlier.". Soon, everyone was on top of Blobby, and Lucy said, "Go!", to which they are going at a very slow pace, due to their combined weight on the scooter.
Meanwhile, Mavis, Johnny, Leni, and Luan went to the nearest airport, to book an emergency flight. "Transylvania!", Mavis said, to which the receptionist got confused. "We need to go to Transylvania!", Mavis repeated.
"We don't fly directly to Transylvania.", the receptionist said, to which Leni asked, "You don't?". "You can go to Bucharest,", the receptionist told the group, "But that would mean you need to take both the Chicago flight and the Zurich flight.".
"You mean switching planes?!", Johnny asked, to which the receptionist said, "Yep.". "How long would it take?", Mavis asked, but the receptionist answered, "Well, the Chicago flight is delayed due to bad weather.". "Uh, I don't think you should make her mad.", Leni said, and the receptionist asked, "Why not?".
Mavis did her monster roar at the receptionist, but not spooked, she said, "So, two seats in coach?". "No!", Mavis said, before remembering that she still had the sunhat and poncho that Linda gave her.
"No.", Johnny said, and Mavis interrupted with a "Yes.". "She's going to do it.", Leni said, to which Luan added, "Like Lynn Jr!". Soon, Mavis carries Johnny by grabbing his hair with her feet, while Luan and Leni held onto Johnny.
Meanwhile, Blobby was telling everyone that he has to go, even though they DID stop at a gas station earlier to get snacks. "Are you kidding me?", Lucy asked, "You need to go now? When we're finally out of traffic, you're killing us, Blobby!".
While Blobby was taking a bathroom break near a tree, Mavis and her group were still flying through the clouds, even into the actual clouds itself. "I still have some cloud on me!", Johnny said, and Leni said, "Selfie!". "Not now!", Mavis said, to which the two decided they'll do it later.
Soon, Blobby's scooter ran out of gas. "This scooter thing is out of juice!", Dracula said, "We'll never make it! Frank, blow.". Frank blew Blobby up like a balloon, and he blew him up so much, that Blobby ended up flying through the sky.
"How fun is this?", Lincoln asked Dennis who was laughing. "Oh, you like that?", he asked, "Well how about this.", and Lincoln starts to tickle Blobby so much, that he start to make loops and barrel rolls in the air. "Now this is flying!", Lucy said, with Dennis asking, "Like a vampire!".
"That's my boy.", Dracula said with excitement, to which Dennis told him that's he's the cool guy who wears a cape.
Soon, Dracula and his gang made it back to the hotel. Thinking they were here first, Dracula decided to call Mavis. "Hey, when are you going to get here? We've been waiting...", Dracula tried to say, but it was too late.
"Uh-oh.", Dracula said, as he, Lucy, Lincoln, and the rest of the monsters noticed a stern Mavis with a distraught Leni, Luan and Johnny. "Give me my son!", Mavis ordered.
"We just went out to get some avocados.", Dracula said, but Lincoln interrupted, "Well, the thing is...". "Mommy, I flew!", Dennis said, "We saw!", Mavis said sternly, "Leni, pull out the video.".
"But I thought I deleted it.", Leni said, to which Luan said, "It's not really deleted, you just closed it.". "Oh, right.", Leni said, as she gave Mavis the phone, and the video plays.
The video was different from the first video, as it was now a video called 'Nusty Cuckoo Remix'. As Dracula, Lucy, Lincoln and the others all notice the video in shock, Leni, Luan, and Blobby were dancing to the music from the video.
After the video ends, Lincoln said, "I knew this plan was a bad idea.", and he and Dennis go up to Mavis. "I was afraid that Dennis wouldn't be safe around other monsters,", Mavis said, "Now I don't think he might be safe around you, or even Lucy.".
"But...", Dracula said, and Lincoln interrupted, "What was that thing you taught me? Human, Monster, Unicorn, Dinosaur, it's doesn't matter?". "But,", Lucy said, "We just thought that his life would...". "We'll have his birthday party here on Wednesday,", Mavis said, "Then we're moving.".
"Well, we just thought.", Drac tried to say, but Lincoln just said once again, "Maybe you and Lucy have let humans into the hotel. But maybe you guys didn't let them into your heart.". Soon, everyone except Lucy and Drac, just sadly walked into the hotel.
"Just like last time.", Dracula said, "We've messed up.". Lincoln, Leni, and Luan just looked back at the duo with Johnny, before following him back inside.
Soon, Lincoln and Mavis were packing up moving boxes with their belongings. Mavis's box was for things when she decided to move to Santa Cruz, while Lincoln's box was full of his belongings for when he and his sisters move back to Royal Woods.
Soon, they heard Dennis in his room, saying, "I can do it. I can do it.". He was standing on top of the boxes, and decided to pretend to be a bat once more. "I'm a bat, I'm a bat, I'm a bat!", he said, before Mavis said, "Dennis, what are you doing?", to which the little boy said, "Nothing.".
After helping him get down, Lincoln asked, "Are you ready for your big party tomorrow?", and Dennis said, "I guess so.". "And guess who's coming?", Mavis said, "Grandpa Mike, and Grandma Linda, all your aunts and uncles and cousins who love you so much.".
"Not only that?", Lincoln added, "I've invited some of my old friends from Royal Woods and Great Lakes City, to which my sisters did the same thing.". "And then,", Mavis said, "They're going to be with us, when we move to California.".
"Yes.", Lincoln said sadly, "But that means, me and my sisters would be going back to Royal Woods.". Soon, Dennis asked Lincoln and Mavis the more difficult question of his life, "Are we moving away, cebause I'm not a monster?", he asked.
"No, it's not that.", Mavis said, "It's just... grown-up stuff.". "Okay, but what about Papa Drac and Lucy?", Dennis asked, hearing that Lucy would be staying at the hotel, "They're going to be here all alone.". "Well, they need to stay and work at the hotel.", Mavis said.
"But they'll visit us, and we'll visit them.", Lincoln added. "Can we call them every night?", Dennis asked, and Lincoln and Mavis said, "Sure.", while hugging Dennis.
