A/N: Here's Chapter 14!
Oreburgh Fitness Center…
It was gym day for the entire Poké Rangers team as they were at the Fitness Center for the past hour. Leona and Lisa were doing HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Intervals in an open space in one section while their Pokémon were cheering them on every 45 seconds. After doing 45 seconds of Jump Squats, Lisa and Leona collapsed on the ground. Lisa looked up as she turned to see her Meganium rubbing her neck.
"I get it… it's a lot!" she said, petting her Meganium and looking at her watch, "Ready to go again?"
Leona laughed, "Are you kidding me? We are doing this two more times!"
Lisa nodded slowly, smiling but also realizing that after doing this exercise twice, it gets a little painful.
On the other side, Atticus, Joe and Kyland were hitting the weights. Atticus was working on shoulders, while Joe was working on arms. Kyland was struggling as he was trying to do lunges with his legs. Noticing there was too much weight, Kyland stumbled as he landed on Joe's bench. Joe looked up as Kyland chuckled, "Sorry, Joe."
"It's fine," said Joe, "Lighten your weight, dude."
"Really?" asked Kyland.
Joe turned around as he looked at him, "Even though you are a Poké Ranger now, sometimes you need to start somewhere. It's like training your Pokémon… you have never lifted before?"
Kyland shook his head, "No. Part of it is because I traveled a lot."
Atticus turned around as he finished his last rep, "The next time you travel, Kyland… always find the gyms in town. You will be quite surprised at what you can find…"
Kyland grinned as he looked at Atticus, "Okay, so I guess I will lighten this."
Joe chuckled as he punched Kyland in the arm. Turning around, Joe noticed that Grayson and Mack were at the training grounds. Instead of using it for Pokémon, both decided to use the training grounds for sparring matches. Grayson threw a punch, only for Mack to block it. Mack turned around as he went to kick him in the stomach. Grayson caught his foot with his hands and flipped him backwards. Mack landed on his back as Grayson went to strike, only for Mack to sweep him with his other leg. Grayson tripped as he fell on the dirt. Getting up, Mack laughed as he looked at Grayson, who brushed off the dirt.
"You fight dirty," said Grayson, chuckling.
"Sometimes," Mack said, grinning. He turned around as Grayson went to go to his gym bag. Turning around to open his bag, his eyes gazed at someone who walked into the gym. He stood there, surprised as she was petting her Primarina. She had blue, wavy hair with green eyes as she was wearing a blue and white bathing suit. She had black sandals on as she turned to catch her eyes at Grayson.
"Hello, Grayson," she said.
"Laguna," Grayson said, breathing heavily. Walking toward her, Grayson grinned as he continued the conversation, "How are you?"
"I am doing good. I am just going to take a swim for the day. At least, my Pokémon are. It's not every day we don't get a break. How's Ninja life?" she asked.
Grayson sighed as he looked at her, "Well, I am taking a little break from the Ninja Corps. I decided to go to Sinnoh and do my own special training."
Laguna grinned as she looked at him, "Oh Grayson, you are such a swordsman at times."
Grayson grinned as he turned around to look at his watch, "Well, I should probably get showered and head back to my place."
Laguna grinned as she turned around, "You know, you can always jump in for a swim with me, just like last year?"
Grayson stood there, speechless as Laguna grinned. Grayson turned around as Laguna went to walk away, "You know… you've gotten a little soft. For someone so… rigid about training. I'll be staying a while."
Grayson said nothing as he watched Laguna and her Primarina walk toward the aquatic portion of the gym. He just stared at her silently. Yes, Grayson had a crush on Laguna in his early teens and both were part of the Ninja Corps. However, Laguna wanted to be more than just a warrior. She wanted to work on maximizing her water Pokémon to the extent in both mastering moves, but how water Pokémon can adapt to certain type advantages based on combinations. He was surprised as he turned around, seeing the other rangers sneak up behind him. Grayson jumped up as Joe looked at him, placing his arm on his shoulder.
"You didn't tell me you had a crush," Joe said, grinning.
"Uh… uh…," Grayson said, "A warrior doesn't talk about his escapades."
"You were practically kids!" said Leona, "If anything, that is puppy love."
"I am still 17, that still classifies me as a kid," Grayson said, looking at the red ranger, "So, is she… we just hung out at the Ninja Corps. Nothing crazy. Besides, a swordsman can't fall in love. Going home now."
As Grayson walked over, he went to grab his gym bag. As he grabbed the bag, Grayson headed over as he walked briskly toward the exit. Upon leaving, a blue envelope fell out of the bag. Joe walked over as he went to pick it up. Opening it, Joe noticed that there was a letter inside.
"Oh really?" Joe asked.
Mack turned around as he looked at it, "Ah, a maiden's love letter?"
Joe turned to Mack with a grin. Mack nodded as he looked at it. Mack opened the letter, reading some of it silently, "Oh, Joseph. This is a love letter. She wants to reconcile her connection with Grayson."
Kyland looked at both rangers, "Hey, Love Doctors, I thought we aren't supposed to interfere with one's love life."
"Kyland, you don't understand," said Mack, "When a woman loves a man, she will do anything."
Joe grinned as he turned to the gold ranger, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
Atticus rolled his eyes as he looked at the two rangers. Joe and Mack turned to him as he grabbed them by the collar of their shirts, "You are making a big mistake."
"Mackenzie and Joseph, hoping to reunite love in a hopeless place!" said Mack, grinning. Leona and Lisa walked past them, grabbing their gym bags. Mack looked at Leona, "Princess, where are you going?"
"Simple. Home," said Leona, looking at the gold ranger, "You guys are insane."
Lisa nodded as she turned to them. Joe went to speak, but Lisa turned around, "If you ask for my aromatherapy just for Grayson, the answer is no."
"Oh….," Joe groaned, "But, I want to-."
Lisa looked at Joe and spoke sternly, "Joe, if you want them to fall in love, it's up to Grayson to plant the seed and make the relationship blossom, just like Oddish when they evolve to Gloom and then using one of those evolution stones when they are ready. No pests needed."
"I am not a pest!" shouted Joe.
He said it so loud, everyone turned to him. Joe looked at Lisa quietly as he nodded slowly. Lisa grinned as she turned around, walking toward the exit. Kyland chuckled as he turned to Joe, "Remind me to get you a Wurmple for a birthday gift."
Joe punched Kyland in the shoulder, but harder. Kyland grumbled as he stumbled on the bench.
Chapter 14: Heartbreaker
"Alright, everyone return!"
As her Pokémon all returned to her Poké Balls, two at a time, she placed her Pokémon on her belt that was attached. She was now wearing a blue and white bubbly dress with her Pokémon belt. As she went to grab her bag, she headed outside toward the Fitness Center. As she opened the door, she was walking out into the city of Oreburgh, turning around the corner as she was heading to the Pokémon Center. As she looked up, she turned to see Grayson using his sword, up on the ridges. Laguna sighed as she noticed Grayson fighting. He didn't shower and relax, he continued training. She shook her head as she went to head to the center, only to run into Joe.
"Oh, may I help you?" asked Laguna.
"How about the other way around?" asked Joe, sighing, looking up at Grayson, "He stood you up, didn't he?"
Laguna turned around as she looked at him. She looked at Grayson and then at Joe, "How did you-?"
"We just know," Joe said, turning to Mack, who was watching. Both looked at Laguna as she turned to watch Grayson, "Well, it would be nice if Grayson would notice the little things. I don't even know who you are."
"I'm Joe and this is Mack. I've known Grayson for some time. He can be stubborn," said Joe, looking at Laguna. Laguna nodded as she turned to Joe, "No kidding. As a member of the Feraligatr Ninja Clan, I shouldn't be even near his breathing space. But, I quit so I didn't have to think about him."
"Wait, Grayson did say there were three ninja schools… Typhlosion, Feraligatr and Meganium?" asked Joe.
"Yes," said Laguna, crossing her arms. She turned around as she looked at them, "Grayson and I were training in two different schools, but we always fought against each other. He was strong, cunning and tough. But, he had a heart. We weren't even supposed to be seeing each other."
"So…," said Mack, looking at her, "What happened?"
Laguna sighed as she went to a bench, "Last year, Grayson decided to pay a visit to Mahogany Town. Knowing that some people of the Feraligatr Clan resided there. Now, granted I came from Melemele Island, so I just started out with Primarina and I trained in contests. I applied to be a Feraligatr Clan member to try to hone my skills. Seeing I was a water Pokémon specialist, I want to maximize the beauty of water type moves… until Grayson beat me."
Joe turned around, "He did?"
"Yeah. But, after he beat me in battle, he and I hung out at the Lake of Rage. I was developing feelings for him, even though I knew him for a few hours. He had a rough life from what I could tell. Then, we were caught. Master Bruce of the Meganium Clan pretty much told us as long as we were in different schools, we weren't allowed to see each other. It was against the laws of tradition, even though it's the 21st century. So, I decided to file a leave of absence to get away from the madness," said Laguna, "I never expected to cross paths with him."
Joe nodded slowly, "So, I am guessing both of you had to remain distant."
"Well, welcome to Sinnoh. I highly doubt the Masters will be here to watch every move you make," said Mack, looking at Joe. Joe turned around as he looked at him, shaking his head. Joe met Master Bruce. He was a force not to be reckoned with. Joe grabbed him by the shoulder, "I've met Master Bruce. He's not one to play. But, at least the two of you got to connect here."
"I don't know….," said Laguna.
Joe picked up a blue envelope that Laguna stared at, "How did you…"
"It dropped out of Grayson's bag. Look, we will be more to at least help you establish contact," said Mack, "After all, a true gentleman doesn't leave a lady in love hanging."
"How are you going to be able to break his stubbornness?" asked Laguna.
Joe and Mack grinned as they both wrapped their arms around their shoulders with a thumbs up and smile, "Leave it to us."
Meanwhile…
"MARACTURNE!"
The sound of Cremelia's scream was so curdling that Ferro Fett decided to walk over to her quarters. Wine glasses, pink candy canes and flowers were thrown across as Maracturne started throwing things back. Cremelia screamed as she went to grab Maracturne by the neck. Maracturne groaned as he tried to fight. Ferro Fett grabbed both of them by the neck and threw them into Cremelia's quarters. As Cremelia went to say something, Ferro Fett released a green blast of energy, shooting her couch. Cremelia turned around as she looked at him.
"The couch is replaceable. Now, WHY are YOU being annoying?" asked Ferro Fett.
"Because Maracturne broke my cake blaster… IT WAS THE ONLY THING TO KILL THE RANGERS!"
"Well, you shouldn't have had it around where I can step on it, nit wit," said Maracturne, shrugging. Cremelia turned around as she looked at him, "I can't live without it."
Ferro Fett rolled his eyes as he went to turn around. He noticed a humanoid Charizard that stood next to him. He had a lime body with mantis wings instead of dragon wings. Its hands had red claws. The monster sighed as he looked at Ferro Fett. Ferro Fett turned around as he looked at him, "You had something to do with this, Scizard?"
His yellow eyes flashed as he turned around to look at him, "Yes, sir."
"Please… do something about this," said Ferro Fett.
Scizard stretched out his left claw. A blue aura surrounded it as he saw the two broken lines between the two rangers. Standing in between the lines connected to each other. Flashes of light surrounded them as Cremelia and Maracturne landed on the ground. Cremelia looked up as she saw Ferro Fett.
"… Hi," she said, grinning.
"What were you thinking?" asked Ferro Fett.
"It was an experiment. We figured if we can sever our bonds, we can sever the rangers," said Maracturne, turning around as he looked at the quarters, "I guess it worked."
"You better believe it did," said Ferro Fett, turning around as he looked at Scizard. He grinned a little as he tapped him on the shoulder, "If you can deal with this, you can destroy the rangers. If we break the bonds, their crystals won't be able to operate."
Turnchou grinned as he overheard the conversation. The other villains turned around as he looked at Ferro Fett. Turnchou sighed as he crossed his arms, "Well, sir… if we use Scizard's experiment, we should be able to sever everything. Taking the crystals will be like taking candy from a Togepi."
Ferro Fett turned to Scizard in fast motion, "You have your orders."
Scizard nodded as he turned around, walking away. Cremelia and Maracturne sighed as they went to go get the broom. Turning to Turnchou, Turnchou grinned as the two of them angrily walked away. Ferro Fett looked at Turnchou as Turnchou laughed, "Yes, it was me."
Ferro Fett turned to him, "You keep this up… I'm calling Gircannon to fry your sorry butt to the scrap heap. You got it?"
Turnchou gulped as he spoke nervously, "Yes, sir."
Meanwhile…
In the city of Oreburgh, Scizard was hiding behind bushes as he noticed a few trainers hanging out with their own Pokémon. He laughed as he walked toward them with a claw. As the claw began to glow green, he clawed the bond between them. Laughing, he could see the Pokémon fight amongst each other and the trainers. He laughed as he snuck around to continue toward another group. Within seconds, he was snipping and breaking bonds in seconds. Anarchy arose. He laughed as he watched a whole peaceful community started throwing punches and Pokémon using their own attacks on others. Scizard laughed as he looked at them.
"Perfect… no crystals… but at least Oreburgh City will start having their hands full," said Scizard.
He turned around as Turnchou arrived, "Well, it looks like you have started very well."
"Thank you," said Scizard, "Now, we have to lure them out."
"HEY!"
Turnchou turned around as he was kicked in the face by Atticus. Atticus turned around, striking a fighting stance. Turning around, he looked up as he saw Atticus and the others arrive. Kyland turned around as he looked at the creature, "Interesting creature."
"I don't know what your plan is but it ends now," said Leona, turning to the others, "Let's go!"
The rangers stretched out their Fossil Chargers, "Fossil Charger, energize!"
Scizard watched as the energy crystal channeled into their Fossil Charger. Nodding his head, he watched as the seven rangers did their morphing dance. Spinning around, they spun the Fossil Blasters, "Unleash the Power!"
Transforming into their suits, the rangers struck a pose. With the exception of Mack, the rangers took out their Fossil Blasters, dragging them down their right arm.
"Dino Armor, Engage!"
The rangers had their weapons, ready to fight. Scizard went to strike, only for Grayson and Joe to strike first. Scizard stumbled as he turned around, noticing Kyland shooting him down with his Omastar Cannon. Scizard yelled as he flew across, landing on the dirt. Turnchou turned around as he went to use magnet. Releasing blue and yellow beams, Lisa and Atticus were thrown to the ground. Their weapons flew across as Turnchou released blue and yellow electric bolts, causing the two of them to land on the ground. Mack withdrew his Golden Amber Saber, slicing Turnchou down. Turnchou landed on the ground, just in time for Lisa and Atticus to pick up their weapons. Before they could do anything, Leona was using her Tyrantrum Fang to strike Scizard. Scizard laughed as he held the Tyrantrum Fang with his claw. Struggling, Leona tried to fight back, only for his other claw to glow bright green. Slicing, a red aura surrounded Leona as a bond was broken. Leona screamed as she fell on the floor, a red aura surrounded her suit as she landed on the ground.
"Hahahaha," he said, looking at them. Leona carefully got up as she went to use her Fossil Charger, "Fossil Charger, energize!"
Trying to press the button, a red electric bolt surrounded Leona as she landed on the ground. Leona looked up to notice her red crystal was glowing. Scizard laughed as he looked at Turnchou, "It looks like we got a crystal!"
As he went to strike, golden beams struck across. Scizard turned around as Mack jumped up to strike him with his Golden Amber Saber. Scizard turned around to use his claw, only for Mack to knock him down. As he went to strike, Atticus used his Carracosta Shield to knock his claw. Screaming, a piece of red metal landed on the ground. Turnchou turned around as he looked at him, "We need to retreat."
"But," he said, "My claw!"
"We'll heal… right now, we need to retreat," said Turnchou.
A flash of blue light surrounded them as they disappeared. Leona turned around as she noticed the crystal flashing before her eyes.
Meanwhile…
Drake and the others were observing what was going on as Atticus placed the metallic part on the table. Leona sighed as she placed her energy crystal in a cage, unable to charge it. The other rangers were watching as Lisa and Grayson set up a device to examine it.
"So," said Leona, "What do we know? I'm kind of useless at this point."
"Patience," said Grayson, shaking his head as he went to at the device, "Lisa, ready?"
The device was a silver satellite with a handheld connected to it. Pressing the button, a blue aura surrounded it as the crystal was getting a readout. She turned around as she looked at Leona, "Whatever Scizard did severed the bond between you and the crystal."
"How?" asked Leona.
"That's what we are trying to figure out," said Lisa, "Atticus, how are things going in Oreburgh?"
Atticus turned around as he looked at Oreburgh City. Oreburgh City became a dumpster fire of people fighting people, Pokémon fighting people, Pokémon fighting Pokémon. Officer Jenny and her squad tried to resist them, but the rates of issues skyrocketed. Atticus turned around as he looked at them, "Horrible. I do remember Scizard was talking about cutting bonds."
"So, he played dirty," said Kyland, looking at the screen, "The number 1 way to trust each other is with bonds. And seeing that our Prehistoric Pokémon trust us, that crystal may have severed the connection between Tyrantrum and Leona."
"You mean… Tyrantrum and I…," Leona said.
"It's a theory," said Kyland, "But, Tyrantrum could be just as confused you are."
Lisa turned to Kyland, "Well, Kyland, to be honest. Our Pokémon are zords. It wouldn't surprise me that our bonds through the crystal connect with it."
Grayson sighed as he turned around to grab his saber. He looked over as he looked at his watch, "Well, I am not going to sit here and contemplate. I am going home and actually going to relax."
As he left Dino Paradise, Joe and Mack looked at each other. Grinning slightly, they turned to each other as they looked at Leona, who was sitting down. Leona looked up, knowing that there was nothing they could do for now, "Well, thanks Grayson."
"Look," said Lisa, "Grayson has a point. We don't know how long this is going to be. Hopefully, we can stop this beast!"
Leona sighed as she got up from the chair as she turned to Lisa, "True. Want to do some Pokémon tea at my place?"
"Sure," said Lisa, "I'll bring the tea."
Leona grinned as she walked with Lisa. Flashes of red and pink light surrounded them as they disappeared, using the Fossil Blaster. Joe and Mack turned around as they nodded. Kyland and Atticus looked at each other as Joe turned around, "What?"
"… You aren't," said Kyland, "Seriously?"
"Well, we can't do much," said Joe, looking at Mack, "Seeing Grayson is passing the time… Mack, Begin Operation Maiden Hunter."
Mack nodded slowly as he put his hand around Joe's shoulder, "Let's do it!"
Joe and Mack walked away as Joe pulled the Fossil Blaster trigger. Black and gold energy surrounded them as they disappeared. Atticus turned around as he looked at Kyland. Kyland sighed as he looked at Atticus, "They are asking for trouble."
"Believe me, that is 100 percent true," said Atticus, rolling his eyes.
Meanwhile…
Sitting in Leona's apartment, Lisa and Leona were sitting on the balcony as they were having one of the famous teas from Kanto. Lisa looked over as she was petting her Meganium. Looking over, Leona was drinking tea with her Cinderace as she leaned her head back on the balcony chair. Sighing, Leona turned around as she looked at Lisa, "So, I wonder what that smile was about…"
"What smile?" asked Lisa, looking at Leona.
"Joe and Mack were smiling… a lot today," said Leona, "Especially, after Grayson left."
Lisa turned to the balcony as she was looking at the beautiful sun that was shining to the west. She shook her head as she groaned, "Probably because of the love letter Joe found."
"Oh yeah," said Leona, looking at Lisa, "What are they thinking of interfering with something like that?"
Lisa turned to Leona, "Right? Come on, when was the last time you were in a relationship and your friends interfered?"
Leona shrugged, "I hate to tell you this, but never been in one. So, I don't know."
Lisa looked at her in response, "Hold up. You never been in a relationship? Like a committed relationship? Even when you were in high school?"
"No," said Leona, full of honesty, "You see, at the Sinclair Foundation, I had very little time to socialize. I have to admit now with being a ranger, I have had more social time than ever. Also, now that I know I am like… old."
"Old?" asked Lisa, looking at Leona, giggling, "You don't look like it."
"I mean with my actual history. Like the fact Drake threw me through time holes, it kind of screws up my actual age," said Leona.
Lisa looked at Leona, "Look… Do we judge? Not many people know your story. Besides, at least you get to vibe with us. Mack, I don't know."
"Mack will come around," said Leona, putting her feet on the bench. She turned around as her Cinderace was speaking with Meganium. The two of them started interacting over a glass of water. Cinderace raised his hands, backing away as Meganium went to use one of her vines to throw the glass. Lisa turned around as she looked at Meganium, "Meganium, Cinderace can't touch water. Put it down."
Meganium groaned as she placed the glass of water back on the table. Leona shook her head as she went to look over the balcony. She turned around to see Laguna walking down the street with her backpack on. Leona turned to Lisa, "Hey, Laguna is here!"
Lisa looked up as she went to get up from her chair. She went to wave her hands, "Laguna! Want to come up for tea?"
As Laguna looked up, Lisa waved her hands. As Laguna shrugged, she decided to nod her head as she went to walk toward the apartment. Granted, she met them but never introduced herself. As she went to walk inside, the doors opened in front of her. She froze as she noticed Grayson. Grayson stood, frozen as well.
"Grayson," said Laguna.
"Hey," said Grayson, "Can we talk?"
"Uh… I was going to…"
Grayson leaned over toward her, "To…"
"Have some tea. I was going to have some tea with some friends," said Laguna, grinning.
Grayson nodded as he looked at her, "Uh-huh… and?"
"… And…," said Laguna, continuing to talk. But, she was interrupted as two people appeared behind her. One wore a black leather jacket with a white t-shirt and black jeans. He had a blue and green bandana around his forehead. The other one wore the same thing but had a black and gold bandana. Both wore sunglasses and had a weed in their mouth.
"May I help you?" asked Grayson.
"Hey, uh, we couldn't help but notice what's goin' on here. We the McQuaid Brothers and we love to have someone hot in our lives," said one of them.
Laguna turned around as she looked at him. Slapping him across the face, Laguna turned to notice something weird. The slapped man looked up as he looked up, lowering his sunglasses, he was winking. Based on the green eye color, it was Joe. She turned around as she looked at him. The other brother grabbed her by behind. Laguna made a huge scream as she went to squirm. Grayson was not sure what was going on. Laguna could usually handle it herself. Regardless, he withdrew his saber and went to strike. The second McQuaid Brother also had a saber as he pulled it out. The two went at it as Joe, who was the first McQuaid Brother grabbed Laguna.
The fight continued on for a little bit. However, the smell of something sweet appeared in the air. Turning around, the brothers turned around as Cinderace jumped down. Cinderace grinned as Leona and Lisa managed to get down to the lobby. Grayson turned around as Leona spoke with Cinderace, "Cinderace, Pyro Ball!"
Cinderace threw a pebble up in the air and kicked it. A ball of fire appeared as Joe was hit with it. Joe screamed as he was engulfed in flames. As the second McQuaid brother turned around to strike Grayson down. Grayson gulped as he went to strike. Lisa turned around as she noticed what was going on.
"Meganium, Seed Bomb!"
Meganium released a green seed from her mouth, landing on the ground. An explosion occurred as the second McQuaid brother landed on the ground. Grayson turned around as he looked at Laguna, "Looks like I am going to take a raincheck on that talk."
"Don't worry, Grayson. You both could have taken your time," said Leona, walking over to a burnt Joe. Joe was shirtless and pants less with just his black and white boxer shorts and shoes. His face was burnt as Leona grabbed him by the neck, "This was your plan?"
Mack turned around as he revealed himself, being the second McQuaid brother. Lisa slapped him across the face, "Are you kidding me right now?"
Laguna rolled her eyes as she marched away. Grayson stretched his hand out as Laguna ignored her. Lisa sighed as she turned to Grayson, "Why don't we… do something a little bit more… simple?"
"What do you mean?" asked Grayson, confused as he ever was. Lisa nodded as she turned around, "Well, let's go to one of the card stores. And you can tell me all about it."
Grayson nodded slightly, "I guess."
Lisa turned around as she looked at Leona. Mack sighed as Joe went to get up. Cinderace was laughing non stop as Joe marched over toward him, "Oh you think it's funny to burn my costume. It was a lot of money."
"Should've thought that before you bought it. Now, you get to be… you know. Let's get inside before you get arrested. I'm sure your neighbors would love to see you," said Leona, crossing her arms. She looked up, noticing Lisa's Meganium. She reached for her Dino Com, "Do you care if Meganium hangs out in my apartment Lisa?"
"Yeah, just make sure she doesn't touch anything… she is a curious one. I'll be back in a few," said Lisa over the intercom.
As some people walked out of the elevator, admiring or in shock of Joe and Mack's physique, Leona walked into the elevator as she pressed the button, "And don't think changing your clothes and staying in your apartment is going to solve anything. Meet me in my apartment. We need to talk."
Oreburgh Shopping Center…
Lisa and Grayson were walking inside to a card store. The two of them were going through the cards, finding something nice for Laguna as Grayson told Lisa the whole story. Lisa walked up as she turned to him, hearing about what had happened.
"Well, that stinks that you can't be involved with someone from a different clan," said Lisa, "They are ninja schools. It shouldn't matter."
Grayson sighed as he looked at the cards, "You would think… but Master Bruce and Master Laura would disagree."
"Why, because you and Laguna had one night of fun on the pier?" asked Lisa, looking at one of the cards, giggling, "This would be funny."
Grayson sighed as he looked at Lisa, "You could say that. But, I was immature and innocent. Disciplined, immature and innocent I should say. But, after we had to separate, I never thought I would fall in love again."
"So, that's why you are acting so high and mighty," said Lisa, looking at Grayson. Lisa turned around as she looked at him, "So, are you worried about-…"
Grayson froze as Lisa went to say something. Grayson nodded as he looked at her, "Look, Lisa. I have anxiety when it comes to girls now because of what happened to me at Lake of Rage."
"That was a year ago," said Lisa, giggling, "And also Master Bruce is in Johto. He doesn't expect you back."
Grayson turned around as he looked at the pink ranger, "That's what you think. He literally found me… and now has my trust."
"He also knows you are fighting more than just your average Team Rocket Grunt. You fight bounty hunters now," said Lisa, looking at him, "And you know what? What happens outside of Johto is not his problem."
"Lisa-," said Grayson, but Lisa interrupted him.
"No, you listen!" said Lisa, looking at Grayson. Grayson froze as she put her hand on him. Grayson tried to move, but she tightened her grip. Grayson relaxed as he took a breath. Lisa nodded slowly, "You've been using your head… for once, use your heart."
Grayson nodded slowly. As he turned around, he noticed a familiar face. Laguna stood there with anger as she walked toward him. Grayson gulped as Lisa turned around, "Hold up. Before you go slapping your ex-boyfriend, let's have a little chat."
"I didn't know there was another girl involved," said Laguna, looking at Grayson, "So, that's what you have been doing since you left Johto."
"Actually, I am just a friend who is trying to help him find the best card for you," Lisa said, looking at him, "Because he was anxious to see you. But… obviously because our friends were being jerks about this, it's all ruined."
"That's because I asked them for their help," said Laguna, looking at Grayson. Grayson's eyes narrowed, "You did what?"
Lisa stood there silently, shaking her head. She then turned around as she saw a green claw emerge between Grayson and Laguna. Slicing, a bond broke between the two, this included a green aura from Grayson. Grayson's Energy Crystal was flashing as Scizard arrived, grabbing it. People started running as Grayson turned to Laguna, "Look what you did!"
"What I did… you dumped me for this woman?" asked Laguna.
"Leave Lisa out of this," said Grayson, "You were scared to go after Master Bruce and Laura about our relationship!"
As the two started arguing, Scizard laughed as he had the Energy Crystal in his hand. Lisa turned around as she looked at her Dino Com, "Guys, Scizard took Grayson's Energy Crystal!"
"Great… where is he at now?" asked Atticus on the intercom.
"Heading out of the Card Store," said Lisa, turning around. She put her Dino Com down as she grabbed Grayson. Grayson pushed Lisa away. He looked at her as Laguna stood in front of her, "You… stay out of this!"
"I need him now…. We have a situation," said Lisa, "Or did you notice your Energy Crystal is stolen?"
"What Energy Crystal?" asked Grayson, touching his neck. He looked up as he turned to Laguna, "Look what you have done!"
Immediately, Lisa turned around as she started leaving the exit. As she turned around, Leona arrived as she looked at Lisa, "Why is Tyrantrum burning down the city?"
Lisa looked up. She gasped as Tyrantrum started burning things down in anger, knowing that the Energy Crystal was disruptive. A flash of green light appeared as Kabutops started doing the exact same thing. Lisa sighed as she turned to Leona, "Scizard is back in action. I'll send out Bastiodon. Could you calm the two lovebirds in the card store?"
Leona sighed as she dashed toward the entrance. Lisa took out her Bastiodon Charger, "Bastiodon, I Choose You!"
Pink energy surrounded the charger as Bastiodon appeared to stop the two zords. Lisa continued running down the hill, noticing a cleaned up Joe and Mack. Joe and Mack turned around as Lisa started breathing heavily.
"You look a little out of it," said Mack.
"I'm not in the mood," said Lisa, looking at Mack, "I am going to give you a piece of my mind later. Right now, Kabutops and Tyrantrum are burning the city down. Scizard cut bonds between Laguna and Grayson… and who knows who else. I don't have time to hear your stupid plan! Oh and Scizard has Grayson's crystal."
"And I am going to start collecting more!" shouted Scizard.
The three rangers turned around as Scizard arrived with a bunch of Mooks, "Now that I know that you guys have Energy Crystals, your zords will rampage and your hearts will all die! Haha!"
"Yo bro… what is that?"
"I don't know bro… but that looks cool!"
Scizard turned around as he looked over to see two guys walking toward him. Lisa rolled her eyes as she turned to the two, "Is this your plan?"
"Sadly, no," said Joe, "I don't wear fishing gear."
Two guys were walking up the hill. Both wore white t-shirts with red vests and blue jeans. They had black backpacks as well as black sunglasses. The two of them also wore red and white fishing hats.
"So… is that a water type Pokémon?" he asked.
"Good question," said the other one, "Guess we will have to examine it."
"SCRAM!" shouted Scizard, stretching out his claw. As a green aura surrounded it, one of the fishermen picked up a Poké Ball. Opening it, white flashes of light shot out of it as Scizard screamed. Immediately, the other fisherman took out his Fossil Blaster, shooting the repaired claw. The claw ruptured as wires broke apart. Green and blue auras surrounded it as Grayson's Energy Crystal began to float toward him. Scizard turned around as the two fishermen threw their Poké Balls out, releasing Swanna and Samurott.
"Samurott, Razor Shell!"
"Swanna, Air Slash!"
Clusters of air and a shell slash combined as Scizard's claw was removed. The two fishermen removed their clothes, revealing Atticus and Kyland. The rangers stood there in surprise as the three zords stopped fighting in the city. Scizard turned around, "You little-."
Suddenly, a series of flames pierced him. Scizard turned around as Tyrantrum kicked him to the ground. Scizard yelled as he landed along the dirt.
"Guys!"
The rangers turned around, noticing Grayson and Leona arriving. Grayson turned around as Scizard looked at him. Grayson, revealing his Energy Crystal, turned to him, "I can't wait to send you to the scrap here. Shall we?"
Kyland and Atticus returned their Pokémon. The two of them stood with the others as they withdrew their Fossil Chargers.
"Fossil Chargers, Energize!"
Pressing the button on the Fossil Chargers, their Energy Crystals charged, channeling their crystals into the charger. The seven rangers did their dance, spinning around as they inserted their chargers into their morphers.
Fossil Chargers, Energize!
Spinning or pulling the lever, the rangers struck their morphers, "Unleash the Power!"
Releasing their Prehistoric Pokémon, the rangers transformed into their suits. The seven rangers stood together to strike.
"Tyrantrum! Dino Charge Red!"
"Armaldo! Dino Charge Black!"
"Carracosta! Dino Charge Blue!"
"Kabutops! Dino Charge Green!"
"Bastiodon! Dino Charge Pink!"
"Aerodactyl! Dino Charge Gold!"
"Omastar! Dino Charge Aqua!"
"Poké Rangers… Dino Charge!"
Scizard groaned as he raised his broken claw, "Mooks!"
Green auras surrounded him as the Mooks appeared. The Mooks dashed toward the rangers as Grayson dodged their attacks. Dashing past the cluster, he headed straight toward Scizard. Scizard gulped as he took out his claw to block Grayson's Fossil Saber. The sword clashing commenced.
"Your enemy is me!" he shouted.
Slicing through with his Fossil Saber, Scizard and Grayson had a duel. Grayson swung his saber as Scizard flipped backwards. Scizard went to stretch his one claw, releasing a rainbow beam. Grayson dodged the attack as he turned around with his Fossil Blaster, dragging it down his right shoulder.
"Dino Armor, Engage!"
Revealing his Kabutops Slasher, Scizard and Grayson went at it with each parry and attack. Grayson turned around as he spun around, striking him with his saber. As Scizard backed off, Grayson jumped with his Kabutops Slasher, slicing his armor down. Scizard groaned as Grayson circled him.
"You are going to pay with messing with my own feelings!" he shouted.
Immediately, blue and yellow beams struck him as Grayson landed on the ground. Looking up, Turnchou arrived as he had his magnetic blaster. Grayson turned around as he went to strike Turnchou. Turnchou blocked each attack and then struck him down. Sparks flew across as Grayson landed on the ground.
"I'm getting tired of this," said Turnchou, "Finish -."
Immediately, a Thunder Fang appeared with a golden line as Turnchou was hit. Sparks flew as both monsters landed on the ground. Joe and Mack turned to Grayson.
"Look," said Joe, turning to Grayson, "We apologize for stepping in on your affairs."
"Yeah," said Mack, turning to Grayson, "We only did it because Laguna still cared for you and we wanted to make it work."
Grayson sighed, looking at both of them, "You shouldn't have done it in the first place. But, I get why you would do it. Can we finish him?"
Scizard turned around as he went to look at the three rangers, "Are you done having your bro moment?"
Immediately, Grayson withdrew his Fossil Charger, "Kabutops Charger, Engage!"
He placed his Kabutops Charger in the Kabutops Blaster. He then opened up his Fossil Saber to add the others, only to see a fully charged Armaldo and Aerodactyl charger. He took both chargers and placed them in the Fossil Saber. A black and gold aura surrounded the Fossil Saber with the Kabutops Slasher glowing in a bright green aura.
"Meteor Dual Slash!"
A green line of energy pierced Scizard as a black and gold line struck him in the opposite direction. Scizard screamed as he fell to the ground, causing an explosion. Grayson turned around as he had both sabers. Immediately, the rangers met up together as Grayson grinned looking at him.
"It's nice to see you three finish them," said Lisa.
Turning around, Turnchou went to interrupt them. He had a green palm pilot in his hand, "Not so fast, rangers. Magna Beam, activate!"
Pressing the button, Ferro Fett's ship released a green beam of energy, materializing Scizard to be ten times bigger. Atticus turned around as he released his Carracosta Zord, turning to the other two rangers.
"Let's do it team!" said Leona, "Tri-Fossil Fusion!"
Immediately, Tyrantrum opened its mouth. Blue and pink energy surrounded Bastiodon and Carracosta as Tyrantrum ingested the energy. A red aura surrounded the Tyrantrum as the legs began to rise higher, seeing robotic feet. The Tyrantrum Zord roared as the upper body rotated, leaving the tail to be the left side and the head of the zord on the right. The Carracosta and Bastiodon jumped up. Carracosta shrunk its head, arms, legs into the shell. The tail transformed into the right hand of the Megazord. The Bastiodon raised its tail as it connected to the left side with its legs and arms shrinking, forming the left hand and arm of the Megazord. A human head popped out of the body. It was a silver head with a red helmet that looked like a Tyrantrum helmet. Green eyes glowed as it started jumping.
"Dino Charge Megazord, Battle Ready!"
Scizard laughed as he opened his claws. Blue and green beams struck the Dino Charge Megazord. The six rangers spun around as they landed on the ground in the cockpit. Immediately, Scizard flew across, slashing the Dino Charge Megazord across. Sparks flew across as the rangers tried to hold on.
"This is going to be tough!" said Atticus.
"Kabutops, Slash!" shouted Grayson.
Kabutops jumped up as it raised its blade, slashing the creature. Scizard turned around as he looked at the Kabutops. The Kabutops began to glow in a green aura as Scizard laughed, "Alright, I'll take some fossilized shellfish for lunch."
Within seconds, golden beams struck out as Scizard was hit. Turning around, Aerodactyl flew across with Mack in the console.
"Aerodynamic Change! Aero Amber Megazord!"
The Aerodactyl screamed as it swooped down. A golden aura surrounded the zord as it landed on the ground. The legs went from being bent to straight as the body was lifted. The wings folded into either side of its body as the body was now standing as a human body. The hands detached from the wings as golden arms grew out. The hands connected to the body as the head moved down to the chest. A human head appeared with a silver and black helmet that had an Amber Fossil on top. The head had green eyes.
"Aero Amber Megazord, Battle Ready!"
The Aero Amber Megazord released golden beams of energy from its chest, shooting it down. Mack turned around as he looked at Kabutops. Kabutops cried out as the Aero Amber Megazord turned to Dino Charge Megazord.
"What is Kabutops saying?" asked Lisa, turning to Grayson. Grayson turned to Joe as Joe's Fossil Blaster began to glow. Grayson looked at his Fossil Blaster as he turned to Joe. Joe then noticed the Aero Amber Megazord glowing.
"Joe, summon Armaldo!"
Joe turned around as he looked at him, "Gladly! Armaldo, I choose you!"
A black aura surrounded the area as Armaldo appeared. Armaldo, Kabutops and the Aero Amber Megazord began to glow in a golden aura.
"Tri-Fossil Fusion!"
The Aero Amber Megazord began to glow in a golden aura as two golden beams hit Kabutops and Armaldo. Energizing with the Fossil Chargers, the Aero Amber Megazord hands began to shrink, leaving room for both zords. The Kabutops Zord jumped up in the air. Folding its legs and stretching its blade like arms, it connected to the left side of the Aero Amber Megazord. The Armaldo Zord jumped up as it folded its arms and legs. The tail turned into a sharp edge nozzle. Everything else remained the same. Joe and Grayson teleported cockpits to Mack's.
"Aero Amber Shotgun Megazord!"
Immediately, Scizard released rainbow beams from his claws, like the Signal Beam that bug type Pokémon use. The Aero Amber Shotgun Megazord flew across, releasing black beams of energy, piercing the creature. Landing on the ground, the Kabutops blade cut across Scizard as he stumbled on to a building. Looking up, the Megazord began to glow in a black and green aura of energy, channeling its energy. Mack, Joe and Grayson withdrew their Fossil Blasters.
"Aero Amber Shotgun Megazord, Triple Shotgun!"
Three bursts of energy struck out: one was black, one was green, and one was gold. Combined into one ball of energy, the energy ball pierced Scizard. The ball split into multiple bursts upon impact as he landed on the ground. Explosions surrounded the area as the Aero Amber Shotgun Megazord turned around.
"Take that, Ferro Fett!" Grayson shouted.
Later that evening…
Laguna sighed as she was sitting at the Pokémon Center. In the lobby, she was angry that the plan was not what she was hoping for. She was also very angry at what Grayson was doing. Not knowing what was going on, she sighed as she went to pack her bags to go to the next city. She turned around, seeing the door open. Laguna froze as Grayson walked over. He knew he would find her here. Grayson sat down as he looked at her.
"… Look, I wanted to give you this," said Grayson. Reaching into his pocket, he had a green envelope. Laguna took it from him as Grayson sighed. Laguna, in disbelief, opened the envelope as she saw something in the letter. She was amazed at what she was reading.
Hey Laguna,
I wasn't expecting to see you ever again after our last time we met. Bruce and Laura were very angry with us. I am so glad that I saw you at the Oreburgh Fitness Center. Part of me was thinking that we can actually try to restart. I was just anxious because of Master Bruce. He was the reason why I left the Meganium Clan. Even though I have been very strict in my ways, you will always have a special place in my heart. I hope we can restart… I am so glad to have met you, regardless of what our masters say.
There are secrets of course I can't explain now, but you will know in due time. Also, forgive my friends. They can go a little beyond…
Reading the rest, she looked up as Grayson went to walk away. Laguna quickly put the letter down as he went to leave. Grayson turned around as Laguna kissed him square in the lips. Grayson was caught in the act as he couldn't believe what was going on. Laguna turned to his face, "I don't care what secrets you have… or your anxieties because of your discipline. If Bruce and Laura want to banish us, let them."
"Good," said Grayson, grinned.
Laguna released the embrace, "We are going to start slow though…"
Grayson chuckled, "I'd like that. Where are you heading to now?"
"Eterna City. I am going to explore…," she said, grinning, "Ever been to Eterna City?"
Grayson shook his head as Laguna grinned. She grabbed him by the arm, "I can't wait to tell you all about it."
As Grayson grinned, he turned around as he noticed Joe and Mack outside. Joe and Mack were doing their "aw, yeah" dance. Grayson sighed as he looked at Laguna. Laguna turned around as she noticed the two of them. Laguna shook her head, "Your friends?"
"Yeah," said Grayson, looking at Laguna, "I can't wait for you to meet them, granted, as you saw."
Laguna giggled, "Well, I am going to bed. Breakfast in the morning?"
"Of course," Grayson said, smiling. He turned around as he went to open the door to the exit, "Good night."
As he walked out of the Pokémon Center, he turned to his left to see Mack and Joe walk toward him. Joe laughed as he jumped up and down, "YAY… You are no longer single."
Grayson grinned as he blushed a little. He walked down the stairs with them as he grabbed them by the ears. Wincing in pain, both of them looked up as Grayson spoke to them, "You ever do this again, I will be having you take my shifts in the museum… and then maybe asking Lisa to do something drastic to you."
"No, please not Lisa!" Mack said.
"What about me?"
Mack turned around as Lisa marched toward him. Lisa grabbed him by the neck, "You both got a lot to learn about relationships. Time for a lecture!"
"Noooo… save me!" shouted Mack, grabbing Joe. As the two started complaining, Grayson chuckled as he folded his arms across his chest. Grayson looked up to see the evening skies as he continued to head back to his apartment.

Class is in session! Summer is over… well, literally. Maracturne is ordered to do Professional Development with Gircannon's teacher beast. Lisa is getting yelled at by Mack for her own lack of training. However, with Lisa missing in action and the rangers search, where's Maracturne and what is he doing?
Poké Rangers Dino Charge Chapter 15: A Field Trip
A/N: So, Laguna Brooke is created by DJ Scales and I knew when I was looking at this, this would be the perfect opportunity to use this storyline. It also is nice to see how Grayson can handle relationships… so, I thought it would be nice to do so. You will probably see Laguna on and off… we will see how it goes. I hope you had some fun reading through this.
Sadly, though, vacation season has come to a close. I already started my Fall Season of real world things as of Monday. My weekends are starting to get full so I will try to update when I have open time on when I have them scheduled... which are Friday nights (unless I'm out, then it will be Saturday). The good news is that I have 10 weeks worth of chapters to post, so it should last up to November. Technically, in a perfect world, I would've had 40 Chapters written out by now so I didn't have to write in December, but a las, it's the real world, right? Things happen.
I also know I was supposed to write a theme song (or at least a song parody of it because it is Poké Rangers after all), like I normally do. I forgot all about it... I will need to carve some time.
So, you will see next week what will happen. I'm going to try to keep writing. I am halfway through Season 1, if you want to know. I hope to finish Chapter 24 and 25 the next two weeks and hopefully schedule time to write Chapters 26 through 30. The goal by New Years is to have 35 Chapters up here... so let's see how I do.
