author note: Thank you guys I love rwby and Dies Irae so I'll continue. oh yeah, I will have to mention that jaune will not show up since for the life of me I can't get a grip on his character.
Team RWBY ended up in the same city, but at different times; Ruby ended up in Suwahara on August 7th, 2006. Blake and Weiss had yet to arrive; Yang, who ended up two years behind Ruby, unlike Ruby's arrival, life was not easy for her. She had to work with some shady people to stay in the country and do various jobs such as debt collection and a few punishments to anyone who dared to betray the Yakuza group she now runs.
She now resided at this warehouse for business reasons mainly dealing with some rats and debt-filled customers with the occasional addict here and there. While her morals had seriously taken a hit, she would always try to find effective ways to slowly wean them off of said substances.
Speaking of said shady people, the two information brokers standing in front of her were strange in every sense of the word. The boy with his spiky orange hair and his constantly smug demeanor, and the girl with dark blue hair and loose clothing just being smug; she hadn't seen anything that made her blood boil like this since she became a Yakuza boss—that's a long, bloody story filled with discrimination.
There's something wrong with these two; they have all the confidence in the world but aren't arrogant. It's more like they've seen it all before, so there was no reason for them to worry.
"So did you get the information I hired you for?" Learning conversion rates was hard for Yang the currency here was completely alien till the middle of her first year here, to her surprise she was surprisingly good at handling money and keeping it.
The girl was the first one to speak. "Yeah, yeah Ruby Rose. You know she's hanging out with good ol' Ren oh that reminds me we got to have him join us later." The old Yang would've given some reaction to the fact that Ruby was hanging around a boy, but she knew better; Ruby had to be a bit stressed out, having all this responsibility of saving the Remnant on her shoulders, and it must have taken a toll on her, especially with Penny's death.
"Is she okay You know she's my sister right Any unjust or violent action taken against her will result in deaths" It was more of a broad warning to everyone in the warehouse who were doing their job at the moment she had to kill a good amount of less than law-abiding citizens in her two years here her morals while losing some of its core beliefs had held on to good amount of the old yang.
This time it was the boy who spoke up; he reminded her of Roman, but just more wild and unruly and the girl was a bit of a combination of Neo's air of teasing and Roman's crude joking nature so in lamen terms the boy was roman without the flamboyance and the girl was neo with a bit of roman's flamboyancy.
"yeah she's fine the only danger is her living place at the shady ass church with that priest you know he was able to tank a grenade and A modified dessert eagle shot dudes a monster from the world war 2 era with a huge bounty." the way he said it so causally was a bit worrying for her.
"bring her here if you can without force not sure how-never mind that what was this about tanking explosives and a borderline cannon in the shape of a handgun." with that level of durability that priest could tank her punches and not flinch 'what was with the weird difficulty jump no Grimm but a super-powered priest and a nazi group' she had long studied this world as much as she could she wasn't sure if she could ever return to the remnant so that was the only option at the time.
"Never mind make her come if she doesn't want to." Why she didn't go there herself was quite simple she didn't want to overload her already stressed and probably confused sister plus the fact she had become a glorified crime boss she would have to take it one step at a time.
"Sure sure firecracker it's gonna cost you a little bit buying dessert Eagle rounds isn't it cheap ya know especially here in Japan."Yang then audibly sighed and reached down and grabbed a briefcase from below her desk and then placed it on her desk quickly unlocking it and then handing out 4 stacks of yen each stack having the equivalent of 500 USD.
"hot damn Shirou we have this much for an easy job." she quickly focused her attention on the blond bombshell in front of her analyzing her eyes and demeanor. "wow im jealous you and your sister must love each other very much can't say the same about me and my folks we'll get the job done come on Shirou" she grabs the money and the boy who was just about to complain out of the Wearhouse.
Ruby walked through the dark, lonely streets of Suwahara City at night. No one came out of their houses since the beheadings and the weird number of missing people. It reminded her of how Atlas looked in its final weeks; people not coming out of their homes out of resentment towards her and her team if they ever returned. Now, Ruby really couldn't do anything about it because she had zero information about anything that could be considered supernatural. She really should have asked Ren some questions with that style-shaped blade and his probable experience fighting. Maybe he knew something.
she was so caught in her thoughts she didn't notice the motorcycle pulling into the park or the girl and boy hopping off the bike and approaching her Her hand was still resting on her chin in thought.
"YO, you one ruby rose right?!" a carefree voice scares Ruby out of those thoughts She turned around to look at the teen and had to a double take the way he spoke and carried himself was all too familiar.
"Yes and who are you?" She really didn't want to fight anyone not because she was weak She no it because didn't want to reveal anything to normal people here but then again the fact that they knew her name was a testament to the fact that they for one were not normal in the slightest.
"Ah, where's my manners My name is Shirou yusa Your sister called and says she wants you back in the office." Unknown to anyone except the two new arrivals to Suwahara Park a sense of deja vu was settling over them meaning all this felt way too familiar to Shirou and Ellie.
Ruby could only deadpan this was entirely way too convenient; the guy in front of her seemed shady and reminded her way too much of one Roman Torchwick, so therefore the only thing she could do was ask for her sister's name.
"What's her name Not too trusting of strangers for reasons." The pair could only shrug they got the message loud and clear and they could immediately tell bits and pieces about her personality from her looks and the way she carried herself.
"Yang Xiao Long though you guys don't look related." Ruby's eyes filled with hope Her mind was about to go into overdrive but that was quickly cut off by the man taking out a gun and shooting in a random direction Ruby looked for all intents and purposes terrified at the sudden action.
A man as pale as the moon itself, eyes as red as her namesake, dropped the gun to the ground, and pretty much everyone in the vicinity felt the overwhelming amount of death and rottenness that was him. She hadn't felt something this dark and demented since Salem; it didn't carry the pain and hurt that Salem had done—no, it carried the feeling of an insane predator looking for prey.
"Man, you guys are everywhere, Oh it's you again man this deja vu is tormenting me here red." The man gave her a piece of paper with an address written on it.
the man ran at the boy as a result of that action Shirou jumped on the motorcycle and led the vampire to a different location.
"I'll be accompanying you My name is Ellie since your new to this city don't mind the fighting Shirou has us covered," she said with a sing-song tone somehow leaving no room for argument.
the fight no a more accurate description was a game of tag but if the tagger tagged the runner the runner would instantly die.
In this case, the runner had some tricks up his sleeve like his constant deja vu. While that took away any element of surprise or accomplishment, it kept the boy alive for some odd reason he couldn't die as long as he felt it.
"this feeling of deja vu wont end cant you do something new willhelm!" he speed up the park steadly becoming just a dot in the background.
Willhelm wasn't it was in fact him or not; he was getting bigger, and therefore, he was getting closer. Then, something amazing happened - an invisible spear was launched from Willhelm, but the boy dodged it. He couldn't even see them.
BANG BANG BANG.
rapid gunfire from a desert eagle would usually destroy anyone's hands, but shirou was different; it was like the rules didn't apply to him.
bullet after bullet pelted willhelm but it didnt affect him at all.
"Come on, kid! I know you can do better than that," the man shouted at the boy. The boy took out a hand grenade and chucked it at the ash-covered vampire.
An explosion rang out over the highway, barely slowing the vampire down; it didn't even leave a mark.
hot damn I forgot how much of a monster you guys are." he then pulled up to one of the many small bridges that suwahara had and had some explosives charges hidden under it.
"Yeah you'll see how much of a monster i am up close URAAAA" will was about to lunge at him but the bridge suddenly collapsed and the boy some how got to the other side breathing a sigh of relief.
