Let's pretend it hasn't been a year and a half... Hey guys! How are ya? I have so much of this story just sitting on my computer so decided to finally update it. I hope you enjoy this chapter! xx

Info:

Summary: After 4 years of homeschooling, Isabella Lily-Marie Snape, daughter of Severus Snape and Lily Potter (nee Evans), finally joins Hogwarts in her 5th Year. She is reunited with her half-brother, the famous Harry James Potter, after almost 13 years apart. She must earn the trust of Harry, who is unaware of her existence while struggling with the prejudices of being a Slytherin and the daughter of Snape.

Timeline: Please note my timeline is a bit off but this is the world of fanfiction so just let it happen. Bella was born on Friday 13th June 1980, and Harry was born on 31 July 1981. I just needed Bella's birthday on a Friday the 13th, and she needs to be older than Harry but somehow they are still in the same academic year, so let's just make this work. Pretend Harry started a year early. Also, this Bella is most definitely a Gemini :P
Voldemort's attack date stays the same - 31 October 1981. Harry and Bella were last together in early 1982.

Pairing: Bella x Draco & Bella x Alice (maybe)

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

Chapter 5: Transfiguration and Divinations

Bella P.O.V

After Potions, I made my way with Draco to Transfiguration class which we had with Gryffindor again. I was happy to be one of the first few people in the class. McGonagall told us to wait at the back as she had seating arrangements. I stood with Draco in the far corner at the back. I noticed Harry enter with his two friends – the boy with red hair, and a girl with bushy brown hair. I had noticed they were both prefects, yet Harry was not.

More people started trickling into the class and it was time to start. Once a majority of the class had arrived, McGonagall began calling names in pairs.

"Mr Weasley and Miss Granger."

Harry's friends sat in the first row, on the furthest left end, closest to the door.

McGonagall continued calling names and I soon heard mine.

"Miss Snape and Mr Potter."

My eyes snapped to Harry's and we locked gazes before slowly beginning to walk forward. We took our seats in the center of the second row. A few more names were called.

"Miss Parkinson and Mr Malfoy"

They were the last pair of names to be called and sat in the furthest right corner of the back row.

I watched as Pansy scooted her chair as close to Draco as possible, and I glared furiously.

Once seating was finished, McGonagall started the class.

I looked over to Harry who was staring straight ahead.

"Psst, Harry," I tried calling over, but he completely ignored me.

I sighed and decided to just write a note instead.

Hey Harry, want to catch up over lunch?

I slid the note over to Harry, who read it apprehensively. He then scribbled a response and sent it back to me.

Whatever game you and Malfoy are playing, I'm not interested.
Leave me alone.

I stared at the note in shock, my eyes brimming with tears that I would not let drop. I let the note burn in my hands then spent the rest of the lesson focused on Professor McGonagall.

During lunch, I sat with Draco once again. He introduced me to more Slytherins in our year and I finally met his full circle – Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini, and Daphne Greengrass. I did not care for any of them really, but I found Daphne to be the most tolerable.

I did however learn a lot more information about stuff my father had kept from me regarding the current politics in the Wizarding world. I learned that Harry was one of the four TwriWizard Champions last year and won the final round but claims to have fought Voldemort in a Graveyard, during which a Hufflepuff student was murdered. Many wizards did not believe that Voldemort was back, or that Harry faced him. Draco did not speak much of his opinion on the matter. I made a mental note to ask him about it later.

I got so caught up listening to the conversation that I lost track of time. suddenly Draco reminded me that I have a Divination class. The rest of them had a free period as they did not choose this elective.

"Fuck." I exclaimed and quickly got up grabbing all my stuff.

"I'll probably see you later in the common room," I said to Draco before turning to leave.

"Bells, wait!" Draco called out and I stopped, looking back. "Don't forget your map", Draco handed me the piece of parchment.

Right. I had no idea where the Divination class was.

I blushed in embarrassment.

"Thank you," I said sheepishly and then turned around and rushed out of the Great Hall.

As soon as I was outside the hall, I opened the map.

Fuck. It was on the other side of the building.

I made a run for it and made it to the class 10 minutes late. I interrupted Professor Trelawney – an eccentric but sweet-looking lady.

"Ah, Miss Isabella Snape," she perused as I walked in, a crystal ball in her hand. I noticed the clouds in the ball change from white to dark grey. I wondered if that had anything to do with me.

"I understand it is your first day and you were probably lost. But please do not make it a habit, my dear." Trelawney looked at me with a kind smile. "You may sit with Miss Cullen," she said and pointed towards an available seat at one of the tables near the back.

Sitting at the round table was a beautiful girl with milky pale skin, spiky jet-black hair, and stunning features. My breath caught in my throat as I looked towards her. Her eyes lifted and locked with mine and I felt lost in a trance. I walked forward, as though she was beckoning me, never breaking eye contact until I sat in the seat across the table from hers.

She smiled at me. "Hey, I'm Alice," she said in a voice as light and eerie as a fairy.

She extended her arm out for me to shake, so I extended mine.

"Bella," I said blushing as I shook her hand.

I felt a jolt of electricity as I shook her hand, so I quickly looked away embarrassed.

For the rest of the class, I did not make eye contact and attempted to focus on Professor Trelawney. But still, I felt Alice's presence strongly and struggled to stay focused on the class, as my curious mind wandered about the beautiful creature across the small round table.

After class is over, Alice swiftly gets up and practically glides out of the classroom – her movements lithe and graceful. I couldn't help but stare. It took me a moment to snap out of my trance and gather my things before leaving the classroom and making my way toward the Slytherin common room to wait for dinner time.

I saw no one worth talking to, so I went up to my room, grabbed a book, and went back outside to find a nice spot to read instead. I made myself comfortable and lay down on some grass close enough to the Great Hall that I'd know when dinner had begun. There were a few other students around talking in groups or studying alone, all scattered across benches or wall ledges, I seemed to be the only one just relaxing on the grass.

Engrossed in my book, I did not notice the passage of time until my thoughts were interrupted by a smooth voice.

"I'm afraid your father will kill me once he notices you're missing from dinner," Draco said, standing beside me where I lay.

I looked up at him and only now noticed the sky was dark, and I was alone outside.

"Shoot," I muttered under my breath as I got up and dusted off my robe. "Let's go."

I took Draco's hands and interlocked my fingers with his, then pulled him along as I rushed towards the Great Hall. As we entered, many turned to stare and whisper, but I simply ignored them. Draco, however, reacted by quickly untwining our hands and adjusting his stance to appear more intimidating. I visibly rolled my eyes at this as we walked towards his usual spot at the Slytherin table.
