"He threw the ball over 700 meters." The blonde boy spoke in shock after I threw the ball.
"Nice he is showing us more of his true power!" Ochako beamed.
"You should see how awesome he was when he saved me! He was firing projectiles from his hands and feet!" Mina gushed.
"But it looks like his finger is injured." Iida commented. "His quirk is rather odd."
"It wasn't a pretty throw." Yuga added.
I saw Kacchan was fuming with rage while his hands sparked. Uh oh that must have been the straw that broke the camel's back. That was when Aizawa's scarf shot at her and snagged her which stunned us. "I told you to keep your calm Bakugou."
"Whoa his reflexes are fast." I breathed before I noticed a pair of goggles hiding in the scarf that was floating a bit. I saw Aizawa's eyes were glowing red. "Wait, I recognize him now, He's Eraserhead an underground hero who can nullify quirks just by looking at you."
The others muttered to one another from this new info before Aizawa released her while his eyes stopped glowing. "We're wasting time. Whoever's next may step up." I moved back to the line with Uraraka and Mina.
"Ouch, is your finger okay?" Ochacko asked me while examining my finger.
"Yeah, it's getting better." I assured her. A green glow rippled around it before the swelling vanished before I flexed it. "See?"
"Wow, your quirk must give you healing powers too." Mina marveled.
I chuckled sheepishly. "There's a lot more to know about it."
The rest of the exams went decent as I kept myself in check. I didn't use One For All for the others as there was no need for it. Like situps and the sitting toe touch. I did use the Chaos Force to keep myself in the long distance run. I didn't run super fast, just enough to keep pace with the others.
After that we gathered with Aizawa. "Alright time to give you the results. I ranked you all from best to worst. You should have a good idea of your standings already. I'll just pull up the whole list. It's not worth going over each individual score."
'Okay I know I'm not gonna be in last place since I did well in all the other tests, especially the 50 meter dash and the softball throw.' I thought. Aizawa put the results up while I looked over where I stood in the ranks. I saw I was in 3rd place, behind Kacchan. 'Wow I'm in the top five.' I can feel Kacchan glaring death eyes at me from her place. I couldn't help but feel bad for whoever is in last place. Looking to the bottom, I saw it was a boy named Minoru Mineta, who happened to be the boy with purple ball hair.
"And I was lying, no one is going home." Aizawa suddenly spoked as the list vanished, making us all look at him blankly. He gave a teasing grin. "That was just a rational deception to make sure you gave it your all in the tests."
"Wha!" We all shouted in unison.
"Surprised the rest of you didn't figure that out." A black haired girl named Momo Yayarouzu spoke up. "Probably should have said something."
'That would have helped.' I thought dryly.
"That was pretty nerve wrecking huh?" the black haired boy spoke up.
"Nah, I'm always down for a challenge." The redhead grinned. I couldn't help but sigh a bit as the stress was off my shoulders.
"Thats it were done for the day." Aizawa announced. "Pick up a syllabus from the classroom. Read it over before tomorrow morning." He walked off before passing me but stopped. "Midoriya."
"Yes?" I blinked.
He glanced back at me. "Not bad today, but stop holding back your power, or you won't excel." he then walked off. He could tell I was holding back?! He's good to see through that, guess that's partly why he's a pro.
I picked up my Syllabus as I was heading back home while thinking. 'Aizawa isn't wrong, if I keep holding back I won't push to new heights with One For All and the Chaos Force.' I felt a hand on my shoulder before turning back and saw Iida. "Oh hey Iida."
"How's the finger doing?" He asked me.
"It's all good." I chuckled as I showed him the finger and flexed it.
"I must say your quirk is quite intriguing. Able to go fast, use incredible strength and now healing." he hummed. "Tell me, is this all one quirk or do you possibly possess more than one?"
"Well, it's just one Quirk, but I've been studying its property to separate it to use in different ways." I explained. I couldn't tell him about One For All but I can make it and Chaos Force seem to be one quirk.
He nodded while we walked. "I was a bit concerned by Mr Aizawas' approach to class. But I trust the school's judgment. UA is the top program. Even so lying is downright immoral." Least it's nice to know he has a calmer side to that serious personality of his.
"Heyyyy!" We turned back as we saw Uraraka and Ashido running to us. "Wait up you guys!" Mina called.
"Are you going to the station? Let us join you guys." Ochako beamed.
"Oh you two must be the infinity and slime girl." Tenya spoke as I stifled a chuckle.
"I'm Ochako Uraraka." The brunette smiled.
"Mina Ashida." The pinkette added. "You're Tenya Iida right?"
"That I am." He nodded while adjusting his glasses.
Ochako turned to me. "You were so awesome back at the tests Izuku."
"Hehe, thanks." I chuckled sheepishly.
"So what was up with Bakugou calling you Deku?" Mina wondered. "I mean she kept calling you that during the fitness test."
"Well, Deku is a name she gave me when I was a kid to make fun of me." I explained.
"That's unsportsman-like." Iida hummed. The meaning behind translates to nothing.
Ochako smiled. "You know what? I like Deku. It sounds like a great hero name. Plus it sounds kinda cute."
"Yeah, I totally agree." Mina grinned.
My cheeks burned red while I rubbed my neck. "Well…if you two really like it, I guess I don't mind you calling me Deku."
"Just like that? Weren't you saying it was an insult?" Iida questioned.
"I don't really mind. Besides thinking about it now, it sounds more calming than how Kacchan says it." I smiled.
"Chao Chao!" I perked up before we turned and saw Lola flying to me.
"Lola!" I beamed as I caught her in my arms. "Haha, did you really fly all this way to see me?"
"Chao!" She smiled brightly.
"Oh you little scamp." I chuckled.
"Midoriya what is that?" Iida asked in wonder.
"Oh this is Lola, she's an exotic pet called a Chao. she was a gift from a close friend." I explained.
"Awe she is adorbable." Mina gushed. Lola turned to her before smiling and flew out of my arms and hugged her neck. "Cuuuuuuuute!" she hugged my chao while her bud formed a heart.
"Oh my heart." Ochako spoke, holding her chest. Lola turned to her neck before flying to her and hugged her as well. "She is so sweet!"
I chuckled. "Chao are affectionate creatures, loyal and very easy to raise. They love playing and love cuddles." Lola lets go of Ochako as she landed on my shoulder.
"You're so lucky Deku, I want a chao too." Uraraka pouted.
"Same here." Mina added, crossing her arms.
I chuckled. "Maybe I can ask my friend if she has others who'd be excited to have owners with hearts like you two."
"Oh that would be great!" The brunette beamed. I chuckled as we walked to the station together. My first day in UA, and I have new friends.
I parted with the others while making my way back home. Lola rode on my head while being a goofy chao. I really owe it to Chaos for giving me her. She's been a true light to my life. Always keeping my spirits up even when stressed.
As I was passing by the city streets, an alarm sounded. Immediately I turned to the source, which came from a jewelry shop. "A robbery?" I saw the shadow of someone go through a window before flying overhead before landing on the top.
'The thief.' I thought as I clenched my fists. It gave me some thought. This wasn't a villain that was doing harm. Rules and law say you won't engage villains with your quirks, but they never said about assisting citizens. Besides, only one of my powers is a quirk. So the other is fair game.
"Lola." I spoke as my chao looked down at me while I smiled. "Are you ready to get some practice in as my sidekick?"
"Chao." She nodded. I pulsed my power to my legs before jumping up in the air. I landed as the thief saw me before bolting. I quickly bolted after them as we lept from rooftop to rooftop.
'They're fast. This thief must have a quirk to amplify speed.' I thought. I saw a gap between buildings as the thief jumped. 'That's too far, they won't make it.' large bat wings shot out from the back as their thief took off in the air. 'They can fly?' my eyes hardened before I pulsed more of my power in my legs before I shot up with a jump. I hurled at the thief before tackling them back down to the ground. We tumbled before separating as a bag dropped.
We both got up and faced one another as I took a stance. "Don't fight, just surrender and come quiet." The thief tensed a bit while studying me. Before I knew it they rushed at me as I dodged a quick swift kick. 'Whoa that's a fast kick.' I countered with a swift kick myself before they jumped back with a flip. They turned to the jewel bag and ran to it. I can't let them snag it.
"Chaos Control!" I yelled before vanishing and appeared at the bag, I snagged it in time before they grabbed it and jumped back. "Sorry not gonna let you run off with these."
The thief stood up before speaking. "Chaos Control…that's a word I haven't heard in a while."
"Huh?" I blinked. The thief grabbed the mask before pulling it off before my eyes widened. It was a bat woman with green eyes and long white hair. But I know that face anywhere. "Holy crap…you're America's top Agent of GUN, Rouge the Bat."
"Looks like I'm known all the way here in japan." She commented.
I was excited to meet one of the best agents known to the world, but I know her history. Shes one of the best jewel thieves with skills unlike any other in the news. Which translated well over into being an agent of GUN and being a double agent against Eggmom. "Why are you even here in Japan?"
"GUN gave me a special mission to look out for someone after an associate of mine came here under some special reason. I'm here to investigate." She replied with a hand on her hip.
I blinked. "You mean Sonia."
"Oh you met her?" She asked.
"Yeah, I have." I nodded. "She and her friends came here to look for someone. Someone with the power to use the Chaos Force."
"And that someone is you huh?" She mused.
"Well…" I started before the bag I was holding started glowing white. "Huh?" I opened it up before gasping as I saw a glowing white diamond within. "A Chaos Emerald."
"Right you are kid." Rouge replied. "Out of the jewels known to the world, they are at the top of my list."
"And you stole it out of a jewelry shop?" I questioned.
"People here have no idea what they're capable of. Besides, they planned to turn it into a mass decoration for the shop." She explained. "It's meant for things much better than that."
"Well I guess you have a point." I replied, knowing their powerful abilities.
The bat agent held her hand out. "Now why don't you be a good boy and hand it back to me? I stole it fair and square."
My hand gripped the sac. "Im sorry, but it's something that Sonia and the others need."
She gave me a musing grin. "Oh really?~" My face flushed as she began to approach me while her hips swayed.
"U-uh." I stuttered. I yelped when she suddenly pushed me against a wall. "What the-uh." I froze when she cupped my cheek while gazing into my eyes.
"Hmmm…you're pretty cute this up close.~" She cooed while batting her lashes. "The freckles make you like that.~"
"Ah…ah…" I couldn't find the words to speak. I mean, I can handle a conversation with girls, but this is far different. It's straight up seduction! I squealed when she pushed her body against mine as my face burned bright red. 'Holy crap she's so close to me!'
Her lips formed a deep sultry grin. "Oh your face is so adorable. It gives you quite a charm any woman would fall for.~~" She ran a finger to my chin. "Bet you'd have to beat them away with a stick.~~~"
"N-N-No I-I-I wouldn't e-e-ever-" I stammered before her massive breasts pushed harder against my chest. My face went even redder as steam started coming out of my ears.
"Never been seduced like this handsome?~~~" She purred before she leaned so much closer, almost to the point our lips were touching. "Good, I like being the first to take the first spoils.~~~" My heart was racing like hell, slamming against my ribcage almost about to break out. I thought for a moment she would actually kiss me, but she swiftly moved her head and whispered in my ear. "I'm starting to like you.~~~~" She cooed before licking my lobe. I shuddered as my thoughts were scrambled.
She suddenly jumped back to the ledge with her grin. "I'll let you hold onto the emerald for me. Take good care of it, and I'll be sure to reward you handsomly.~~~~~" She blew me a kiss. "See you around stud.~~~~" With that she took off and out of sight.
I finally collapsed on my hands and knees while panting heavily. Holy crap that was so intense. I witnessed the masters of seduction from her of all people. I honestly thought my face was gonna burst into flames.
I kept my secret meeting with Rouge for a while until we would meet again. Yet, I still think shes not far and watching me from a distance. I decided to keep the Chaos Emerald since it's too dangerous to be left in that store. It's not like its stealing or anything, just taking it back from a thief.
Anyways, a new day at UA began. It was like a normal highschool with normal classes in the morning. The food was made by a famous cook hero Lunch Rush who is popular making incredible meals for students. I had a bit of a geek out when I met him.
Finally came the best part of UA in the afternoon, hero courses. And we're in for a big surprise.
"I AM HERE!" All Might announced as he came through the door dramatically in his silver age costume. "Coming through the door like a hero!"
Everyone gasped in awe as Denki beamed. "I can't believe its really All Might!"
"So he really is a teacher! This year's totally gonna be awesome!" Kirishima exclaimed excitedly.
"Hey look, isn't he wearing his silver age costume?" Asui asked.
"I'm getting goosebumps. It's so retro." Ojiro spoke.
"Welcome to the most important class in UA, Think of it as heroing 101!" All Might declared. "Here you will learn the basics of being a pro, and what it means to fight for the name or good!" he flexed. "Let's get into it! Today's lessons…!" He held up a card written "BATTLE". "Will hold no punches!"
"Fight training!" Bakugo beamed manically.
'So we're getting into real combat with one another.' I thought in surprise.
"But one of the keys of being a hero is, looking good!" He spoke while pointing to the wall as it started opening up. "These were designed based on your quirk registration forms. And the requests you sent in before school started!" Everyone cheered. "Get suited up, and meet me at training ground Beta!"
"Yes sir!" We replied. I got up while grabbing my case, but the costume inside wasn't made from UA, it was from Tails.
(Flashback)
"My Hero Costume?" I blinked as the fox mobian set a case down to me.
"I kinda took the liberty to look over your hero analysis notebooks and stumbled upon your hero costume in one of them." She replied with a sheepish chuckle.
"Right forgot I put that in one of them." I chuckled bashfully.
"From what you told us about the backlash of One For All and the results of the Chaos Force, I made some mass upgrades and modifications with it." She smiled while pushing the case to me. I opened it up before I gasped in awe at the gear and outfit. "I kept the major of the design you enjoyed while adding some of the gear to help amplify your quirk and using the chaos force at maximum capacity so you don't hurt yourself and have more control."
"Whoa thanks so much Tails." I marveled.
"It was my pleasure." She beamed. "If you ever have trouble or anything breaks, bring it back to me and give me the details, i'll repair it and make it stronger than ever."
"I will." I nodded.
(Flashback End)
I put my outfit on and joined the others at the facility. As for what it looked like, its very cool.
The design was like All Might since I wanted to be like him. It was green with a hood and eye mask with straps going up to match his standing streaks of hair. There was a device around my head that was a portable face mask that opened and closed to protect my face from taking damage with a built in gas mask function. I had special metal alloy shoulder pads to protect me from server attacks while moving quickly.
I wore white gauntlets around my arms that were designed to cushion the impact of All Might's quirk. The legs were made of a black brace to add more defense and release more of One For Alls power. As for how it will assist with the chaos force, the material from my main costume was created to help flow the energy around me with better command to know what im about to do with it. So it won't tear easy if I use a lot of power or take damage.
"Hey Deku!" I turned as I saw Mina and Ochako approaching me.
"Oh hey you two." I greeted before blushing a bit. Uraraka was wearing a skintight bodysuit which was pink with black lining on it with a helmet that had a large visor around it. Her boots were large along with braces on her wrists. Mina's outfit was blue and purple with a cheetah pattern and white fur on it while wearing a white face mask. "Nice costumes."
"Ours? Yours looks so awesome." Uraraka beamed. "Not flashy but the gears make you look so cool." She rubbed her head sheepishly. "I should have been more specific on what I wanted. This bodysuit is skintight. Not exactly my style."
"Mine is a bit tight as well, but I love how it hugs my body." Ashida giggled while posing. "Don't I look good in it Deku?"
"...Uh Yeah." I spoke with a light blush.
"I love this school." Mineta near me spoke gleefully.
All Might saw my costume and gave me a firm nod of approval. Luckily my costume didn't make it to obvious on All Mights private training as it looks more inspired than copied. "Now before we begin, I have a special surprise for you all." He announced. "A special Hero will be joining us today for the exercise."
"Really? Who would that be?" Toru, an invisible girl asked.
Wind started picking up around us while we braced. "No way, seriously?" i breathed as I know this wind.
It suddenly stopped before hearing a familiar voice behind us. "Take a good look for yourselves newbies." We turned and above the top of the tunnel entrance seeing Sonia with her arms crossed with her trademark grin. "Sup."
"No way is that who I think it is?" Denki gapped.
"It is!" Mina beamed. "That's Sonia the Hedgehog! America's top pro hero!"
"The blue blur herself!" Kirashima grinned.
Sonia jumped over up with a graceful spin before landing next to All Might. He gave a laugh and spoke. "Sonia and her team were specially invited to assist and tend UA High to assist with some of our hero course classes. Not only to train with pros in Japan, but from America as well."
"Yup gotta be sure the next generation of heroes is up to snuff." Sonia grinned with her hands behind her head. This is amazing, Sonia and her team will attend and assist UA High! This is gonna be so awesome!
"Now let us begin with the combat training." All Might announced.
"Sir." I heard Iida call out decked out in a suit of white armor. He honestly looked pretty cool. "This is the fake city from our entrance exams, does this mean we'll be conducting urban battles again?"
"Not quite, were going to be moving you two steps ahead." All Might replied with a peace sign.
"As you all know, the villains you see on the news are small-time thugs that appear during the day and in the open where people can see the action." Sonia explained. "However, there are the smarter and more dangerous villains that make their moves within buildings and hidden areas and places you'd never expect."
"In this session you'll be broken into two teams of good guys and bad guys, and fight two on two indoor battles." The Japanese pro hero explained.
"Isn't this a little advanced?" Asui asked curiously.
"To be a pro you need to gain the best experience, and that's in battles." Sonia grinned. "But this will be different to the robots you all clobbered before. You'll be fighting real people."
"Will you two be deciding who wins?" Momo asked them.
"How much can we hurt the other team?" Kacchan questioned.
"Do the losers have to worry about being expelled like earlier?" Ochako asked worried.
"Are you picking us by chance or comparative skill?" Iida questioned.
"Isn't this cape critique?" Yugo beamed while showing his glittering cape.
"We weren't finished talking." All Might grumbled. Sonia snickered before he took out a script and opened it. "Listen up! The situation is this: the villains have hidden a nuclear missile somewhere in their hideout. The heroes must try to foil their plans. To do that, the good guys have to catch the evildoers or recover the weapon. Likewise the bad guys win if they protect their payload or capture the heroes."
'Classic action movie set up.' I mentally commented.
"Since we don't have the patience, we'll pair you up with lots." Sonia spoke while setting a box down.
"Isn't there a better way?" Iida asked.
"Think about it." I spoke up as he turned to me. "Pro heroes have to team up with other agencies on the fly. So thats the reason were seeing it here."
"That's right, life is a random series of events." He replied before bowing to the pair. "Excuse my rudeness."
"No sweat! Let's draw!" All Might called with a fist pump. We started to draw lots as there were gonna be teams from A to J. By a wild luck of the draw, I was paired with Uraraka.
"Wow what are the chances, we're a team!" The zero G girl beamed.
"Yeah, let's win this!" I spoke with a fist.
"Now we'll select the first two teams, one will be the heroes and the other villains." Sonia spoke while grabbing two balls from each box. "And the lucky ones for round one are…these guys!" She held up the two labeled A and D.
'Oh of course.' I sweatdropped.
"Team A are the heroes and Team D are the villains." She grinned. "Everyone to the monitoring room to watch the fight."
"Yes ma'am." Everyone else nodded as they headed to said room. I glanced at Kacchan who was giving me a death glare. Sometimes I hate the universe. But I remembered everything that came to this point. I wasn't defenseless anymore. My fists tightened before I looked back at her with my face stern and confident. She was surprised but growled back a bit.
We came to a building as All Might spoke to team D. "Bad guys you can go in and get set up. In 5 minutes the good guys will be let loose and the battle will start."
"Yes sir." We replied as Team D made their way inside.
They gave us a map of the building layout while we looked into it. "You think they'd have us memorize this floor plan? It's so big." Ochako smiled. "You know, All Might is just as cool in person as he is on TV, even Sonia is so cool from what I heard about her. Glad they're not punishing us like Mr Aizawa does."
"Yeah that was a bundle of stress I didn't need." I commented.
"Hey you okay? You're pretty tense." She replied a bit more gently.
"Well it's because we are up against Kacchan." I replied.
"Oh right, she's always making fun of you." She frowned.
"Yeah, no doubt she will be gunning for me." I sighed. "I won't deny, her strength, confidence, ambition and quirk are incredible. She had more time to develop all that in our younger years…but." I stood up. "It means I have to do better." I pushed a button on my face gear as the mouth covering closed. "I refuse to lose today."
"So it's a fated battle between rivals." Uraraka grinned.
"Oh uh, not to get you involved or anything." I spoke in surprise by her declaration.
"Are you kidding? We're a team right? Let's win this!" She cheered. I blinked before smiling with a nod.
"Alright! Lets begin the indoor combat training!" All Might announced on the speakers. "Team A, and Team D, your time starts now!"
"Let's go." I spoke.
"Right." She nodded. We decided to enter from a window rather than the front door. We climbed up and entered. "Just like that we were in."
"Stay on guard, there's a lot of blind spots." I warned as I led the walk. 'I got no control over one for all still so I'll have to rely on Chao Force and us One For All when I really need to.' we took a corner. 'I studied on indoor battles and fighting in tight spaces. I can win this.' My senses flared before looking up as I saw Kacchan coming out from the corner. She yelled and swung her hand at me. I dodged and grabbed Uraraka in time before the explosion hit us as I skid. "Uraraka you okay?"
"I'm fine, thanks." She replied. She saw a burn on my face mask as it held up. "Deku."
"Don't worry its just my mask." I assured her as I looked at the dust cloud Kacchan made.
Her hand swung from the smoke to blow it away while giving me a death look. "What's the matter Deku? Afraid to stand up and fight me?"
"I knew you'd come for me first, and catch me by surprise." I stated as I stood up.
"Just because we're facing off against one another doesn't mean I'll take it easy on you, you damn nerd!" She smirked and lunged at me. "I won't hurt you so bad to end the fight, just close!" She swung her right hook as I moved in and snagged it before hitting me, which took her off guard. I quickly turned and shoulder tossed her onto the ground hard. She coughed up saliva from the impact before I jumped back and stood in my stance.
I breathed. "Kacchan…you always start a fight with a right hook. I know, because I watched you for years." She got up and turned to me. "I analyzed every amazing hero including you. I wanted to learn everything about them. It was all in the notebook you burned and threw away that day." I looked up at her with a scowl. "You can call me Deku, but I'm not that defenseless little kid anymore! You hear me!? I changed! FROM NOW ON, DEKU IS THE NAME OF A HERO!"
Kacchan stood up and turned to me hands up in a claw fashion. "...Deku…" She growled out. "Despite all I did to you, you still want to fight me…" She looked up at me with a furious look. "THIS IS WHY I HATE YOOOOOOOU!" This has been coming for a long time now, it's time I face my past head on.
Hello Everyone! yes im back. Im so sorry I havent been on for a few months. I'll explain why.
1: delt with a few problems with IRL, so i wont go into details
2: trying to get back into the grove of being on fanfiction, but with the lmited window I have its pretty hard.
3: I been working on other stories to publish here. So expect new stories to be added soon when I can. You all will be delighted with what I have :)
