The Pizza Cats Save The A's

Authored by: AcerJack

Summary: Speedy had just finished watching Domingo Germán's perfect game against the Oakland Athletics, and was fed up with owner John Fisher and president Dave Kaval's intentional devaluing of the team by selling off their young stars, so he assembles the Pizza Cats, Good Bird, Francine, Princess Vi, Lucille, and the New York Pizza Cats to visit Fisher and Kaval in the A's offices in Jack London Square to get them to sell the team.

Disclaimer and writer's notes: I do not own Samurai Pizza Cats. All characters and locations are properties of Saban. This story was inspired by Phoenix710's story, "Revenge of the Pizza Cats" which has a similar premise, where the Pizza Cats and their friends visit Jeff Blundt at the FCC to protest about a certain educational rule to television. Original characters, like Aiko, Yattaro and Pururun Anchovy, Kazuma, and Ryuho Kiryu are all original ideas by Phoenix710. This story was also written in support of the #SellTheTeam movement for the Oakland A's to be sold from John Fisher, due to his current plan to relocate the team to Las Vegas. And the #UniteTheBay series, as I am a San Francisco Giants fan.

Chapter One: The Perfect Game

It was another average day in Little Tokyo, and over at the famous Pizza Cat parlor, Speedy was in the living room, watching a Major League Baseball game between the New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics, and with 2 out, Esteury Ruiz grounds out to Josh Donaldson, who throws it to Anthony Rizzo, completing Domingo Germán's 99 pitch Maddux perfect game.

In slight frustration, Speedy began ranting, "I AM FED UP WITH HOW THIS TEAM HAS BEEN BECOMING SO BADDDDD! IF I COULD FIND JOHN FISHER AND DAVE KAVAL, AND MAKE THEM SELL THIS TEAM, I WOULD!"

Just then, Guido, Polly and Good Bird walked in. It had been declared a day of appreciation for the Pizza Cats by Princess Vi, in honor of Speedy and Good Bird saving the city from imminent destruction by a plot by Seymour "Big" Cheese, in which he sent a comet to the city in an attempt to destroy it. Guido said, "Hey Speedy, what is with the commotion? It's a perfect game, and baseball history, from what I just saw, so what is this all about?"

Speedy then replied, "I know, Guido, but I just can't believe it. Oakland had just let a lot of their great players go. Matt Olson, Matt Chapman, Sean Manaea, Mark Canha, Sterling Marte, and Sean Murphy. All of them were gone, and there is only one reason why. And that would be both owner John Fisher and president Dave Kaval. They apparently want to tank the team in an attempt to relocate them to Las Vegas."

Polly then said, "Speedy, I may only know baseball from you, but he sounds like a guy that deserves to get a claw up from me, and maybe even Aiko too."

Francine then overheard their conversation, and said, "Hey, you three, I think I just heard about the Oakland Athletics and John Fisher. I might want to get some involvement in this, cause I just found out about a movement to get him to sell the team off."

Speedy then replied, "I know, Francine, and I just had an idea to give him his just desserts. Why don't we fly out to the A's offices in Jack London Square and tell him why Oakland still deserves baseball, and this team needs to be sold to a better owner."

Good Bird then also joined in, and replied, "That seems like a great idea, Speedy! Hey Guido, why don't you get Lucille to tag along?"

Guido then replied, "Sounds like a great idea to me."

Francine then also said "I'm gonna come with you guys too. I'm also gonna phone Princess Vi and see if she wants to tag along. She doesn't know much baseball, but again, Fisher and Kaval sound like the type of guys that deserve a trip to Prisoners' Island."

Speedy then said, "That sounds great, Francine. Also, while you are at it, can you also call up the New York Pizza Cats? They seem like they could want to tag along too."

Good Bird also then said to his wife, Carla, "Make sure you keep watch of Aiko, Yattaro, Pururun, and Kazuma while we are gone, okay?"

She then replied, "Alright. Just be careful out there, Birdie."

Good Bird then said, "I'm just gonna be fine out there. If I can handle fighting alongside the Pizza Cats against Seymour, some dumb Ninja Crows, and save the city from destruction, I can certainly handle some bad baseball owner."

Meanwhile, Francine called up the New York Pizza Cats. Abgail then came on screen, saying, "Hello, this is the New York Pizza Cats, we deliver across Manhattan! What can I do you today?" Francine then responded, "Hey Abigail! We got a bit of a situation that we want to have the New York Pizza Cats get involved in, and I might just let Speedy give the details." She then replied, "Well, certainly! I heard from Sundance it concerns something from baseball that he also wants the New York Pizza Cats involved in."

Speedy then took over, then asked for Sundance to come on. He then said, "Hey Sundance, how is it with you and your fellow Pizza Cats in New York?"

The sharpshooting cat then replied, "It's all going well here, Speedy. Are you also plotting to get John Fisher and Dave Kaval some just desserts and get them to sell the team? I also just finished watching Domingo Germán's perfect game."

Speedy then responded, "That's exactly why I'm calling. Do you want to help us with our sort of similar situation?"

Sundance replied, "I definitely would! Anything to make up for all the troubles I caused to you and your team before. On the subject, I'm also gonna get Lucinda to come too. We will meet up at New York-JFK Airport, then we go to Oakland to get this plan in action. Sounds good?"

Speedy then responded with, "Sounds good to me. See you then."

Just then, the front door opened, and then entered Princess Vi, with some of the guards from the main palace, including Francine's wife, Ryuho Kiryu, and Gudio with Lucille, after she had some tea back home. The princess then said, "I just heard from Francine that you want to send bad baseball ownership to Prisoners' Island, and so I have parked outside my own personal private jet for you to take. Will save you the time to fly by cannon, and I heard you also want to get the New York Pizza Cats involved, so that helps too."

Speedy then said, "Thanks, Princess. That helps us immensely.'

Vi then replied, "I don't know much about baseball, aside from that time Fernando came to town, but it's all in the work to help our city's heroes, and Oakland to get the baseball ownership it deserves."

With that, the Pizza Cats jumped in their ovens, donned their armor, and alongside their friends, got to Princess Vi's private jet, flew on route to New York, to pick up the New York Pizza Cats, and get John Fisher and Dave Kaval to sell the team and make Oakland's baseball team great again.

Next chapter: The Samurai Pizza Cats and their friends, fly to New York to pick up the New York Pizza Cats, then it's off to Jack London Square to get John Fisher to sell the Oakland Athletics. Stay tuned for Chapter Two: Getting To Sell.
