Evan's POV:
"Your backpack is all packed. We'll be taking you there since it's your first day!" Olivia says while making sure me and Mia have everything we need. It's going to be my first day of school in this town since moving in with the Davis's. I feel nervous just thinking about it, but I keep reassuring myself that everything is going to be ok. The memories I have with school are not very happy, back when Lizzy was still alive she was the only person I had to talk to. But after that day, I mostly just kept to myself, it was extremely lonely.
I put Fredbear in my backpack so she will be there for me, throughout the day. She was one of the only people ever nice to me back home, without her here I won't know what to do. She has been the only person from back home that I have.
Do not worry. No matter what happens, I will be here for you. Thanks, Fredbear, I know that as long as I have you, I will be ok.
We go outside to the van, and we get in. Mia said that usually either she rides the bus or Leo and Emily would take her. But today Olivia and Liam want to take us themselves, in order to make me more comfortable. It takes 10 minutes to drive there. During this time Mia tells me that she will show me around and tell me all about the place. The building looks slightly bigger than my old school. I see a wave of students entering, I feel a sense of nervousness as we park. Exiting the car Olivia and Liam take me to the front of the building to make sure we get inside. They wave goodbye to us as we enter.
I hold the piece of paper in my hand that contains the classroom numbers. Thankfully the first class, me and liz- Mia have together. Since Mia knows where the room is, she leads us to it. When the teacher sees me, she comes over and welcomes me to her class. Meanwhile all the other kids are sitting at their desks, just staring at me. I feel like the entire classroom is spinning at the thought of having the entire room's attention.
"Hello class, today we are having a new student joining us." I take a deep breath, as I try to act calm. But I can't get past their staring eyes. They're looking at my scars. They're judging them and are going to laugh about them behind my back.
"His name is Evan. He recently just moved here because he was adopted by Mia's family. Please make sure to make him feel comfortable." She smiles at me and tells me that I can take any available seat. Luckily there is one next to Mia, she smiles as I take a seat at the desk next to her. On the other side of me there is a kid wearing a blue shirt, he looks over at me the moment I sit down. There doesn't seem to be any hostility in his look however, he seems more curious than anything. I feel trapped the longer the seconds pass by, but luckily after about a minute he stops and focuses his attention on the teacher.
The class does by relatively quickly, with the lesson being about multiplication. After going over some practice problems, the teacher assigns a short homework assignment that is due by tomorrow. I start to pack my things in my backpack to get ready for the next class, but as I am standing up, I see the kid from earlier walking towards me.
"Hey, my name is Cole. You're Evan, right?" Mia has noticed the conversation and is now standing next to me. I just know that he is just waiting to say something mean, with the way he was looking at me earlier he is probably just waiting to mock me.
"Yes- I just moved here. It is really nice to meet you."
"Those scars are so cool! Did a lion attack you?" Cole shouts in excitement as he looks at me in anticipation of an answer. My face immediately goes pale, I feel around the scars. Looking at Cole I notice that he is now wearing a Bonnie mask, my eyes go wide as I look to Mia for assistance only to realize that a Chica mask is on her face. Blinking everything goes back to normal but I still have a sense of dread.
Mia who shows no indication that she is aware that I saw anything looks at me with concern, remembering what happened the last time the scars were brought up she quickly steps in.
"Please don't bring it up. He doesn't like to think about it." As she says this, I can see a hint of guilt in her eyes.
"Ohh, I'm sorry. I didn't know it was a hard subject. Maybe we could hang out later, that would be cool!"
"Thanks-" I try to steady my breathing, Cole leaves to go to his next class as Mia puts a hand on my shoulder.
"Don't worry I'm here for you. Let's get to our next class." The rest of the day goes by relatively the same. Many of the students stare at my scars. But luckily no one approached me about them like Cole did. Eventually lunch time comes, and I head to the cafeteria. I get into line and grab a tray. Today they are serving pizza- it reminds me of daddy's dinner. After getting some food I notice Mia sitting at one of the tables, when she notices when she waves at me to come over. Walking over I see that sitting across from her is another girl around the same age as her.
"Zoey, this is my brother I've been telling you so much about!" Zoey smiles, as I sit down next to Mia.
"So you're Evan! I've been so excited to meet you! I'm Zoey, Mia's best friend!" The three of us talk for a little bit, about how I am settling in and what I think about my first day at school. During this I also find out that Mia first met Zoey in her school soccer practice and ever since then they have been best friends. Overall, it seems she wants to be genuine friends with me, other than Fredbear the only person I had like that back in my world was Lizzy.
"Can I sit with all of you?" We all turn around in surprise, standing by the table is Cole with a bright smile. Mia looks at me, I can tell by her look that it's up to me to decide. I nod and Cole excitedly sits down.
"I'm sorry again for making you uncomfortable earlier, I just get excited meeting new people."
"It's- fine. So how long have you lived here?" my voice shakes as I take a deep breath.
"Oh, I lived here my whole life. By the way I love your shirt, I like stripes!" I look at my shirt, it has always been my favorite. But I am caught off guard a little by how fast he changed the topic, Cole keeps smiling though as he waits for me to say something else.
"Thanks, yours is cool too." While I say this, I start to undo the zipper to my backpack, where Fredbear is in. It has been helpful having Fredbear throughout the day, without her I would be a lot more nervous. I open it up to the point where I can see Fredbears eyes shining out.
"Maybe we can all hang out this weekend, are you all available?" Both Zoey and Mia say they are. There is nothing I really have planned for this weekend. So I agree with the idea, and Cole is energetic with happiness. The group starts brainstorming ideas for things we can do, I stay quiet for most of it, wherever they ask me if I have any suggestions and I just tell them that anything they like to do sounds fun. As we finish talking lunchtime ends as the bell rings.
"I can't wait! It was fun meeting you Evan." Zoey grabs her backpack as she starts making her way to her next class. Me and Mia have different classes so she tells me that she will see me when school is over, and to enjoy my day. I get up from the table and start to zip up my backpack.
"Cool! Is that a Golden Freddy Plushie?!" my eyes widened as I realized that my backpack was not zipped up fully and it was enough for Cole to see Fredbear. I feel my heart rate rise as I glance from my backpack to Cole.
"It's Fredbear." I'm a little confused as to why Cole called Fredbear Golden Freddy. Daddy doesn't even have an animatoric called that. I still don't know what is going on, whether we are in the same world or not, things are definitely different. Maybe Golden Freddy was made later by daddy, or a secret project. All I know so far is that they look the same as Fredbear.
"Oh ya, Golden Freddy's hat and bowtie are purple, Golden Freddy's is black." So the difference in their appearance is their hat and bowtie.
Fredbear, do you know of Golden Freddy?
Yes, Golden Freddy is a separate form I can take. But unlike this one, it is not physical.
I know that there is more to Fredbear than just being a plushie, all I know is that Fredbear once was alive and was a kid like me. Anytime I ask her about it, she gets quiet and I can hear pain in her voice. All I know is that she doesn't like daddy. She always wanted me to stay away from him, I didn't understand why she felt that way but I could tell it was sensitive for her.
After talking with Cole I zip up my backpack completely. With Fredbear concealed and secure I go to my next class. The rest of the day goes by and soon enough I meet up with Mia as all the kids rush out of school. Walking outside we see Liam and Oliva's car outside in the parking lot, waiting for us. They greeted us with a smile, but they both looked a little nervous.
"Hi kids, did the two of you have a good day at school?" I give an uncertain nod, as Mia starts telling them everything that transpired. I can tell they both look relieved by all this information, and they go on about how they will make sure everything is perfect for the weekend. It was only my first day and I already know two new kids and they are coming over this weekend. This should be interesting.
