Chapter 4: Athens

"Last time on the Ridonculous Race; the teams came to Rome and competed in some old Roman games. The New Couple came in first, and due to issues with their aging bodies the Tennis Rivals were the second team to leave. Where will we go next? Who'll be the next winner? Who'll be the next team to go home? Find out now on...the Ridonculous Race." Don announced.

"Welcome back to the Ridonculous Race." Don told the crowd.

"The New Couple will now be the first one to get the first tip from the Don Box."

Carrie pressed the button, and a tip came out.

"Looks like we're going to Athens."

"Athens, Greece. Similar to Rome but not quite. Teams will travel there by train and go to the Benaki Museum to get their next tip."

"Come on let's go." said Devin.

And all the teams hurried to the train station, after getting their tips. At the train station, half of the teams managed to grab the next train to Athens. The New Couple, Ice Dancers, Goths, Daters, Father and Son, Sisters, Mother and Daughter, and Cops got on first.

"The first group of teams have made it onto the first train. But the other group will have to wait 45 minutes for the next train." Don informed.

"This is very exciting." Ellody mentioned.

"Two of the oldest most interesting cities in a row?"

"This is like a dream come true." added Mary.

"I wonder what we're gonna be doing next?" wondered Kitty.

"I don't know, but we're about to find out." Emma answered.

The train came into the new train station, and all the passengers got off, and got taxis to the Benaki Museum. The Father and Son team managed to get there first. Dwayne pushed the button the Don Box.

"Looks like it's a botch or watch." he read.

The scene cuts to the inside of the museum.

"In this botch or watch whoever pulled chariots in Rome will have to pose for a portrait. The other teammate will have to draw their teammate in one the portraits here on the wall, and then show them to this museum worker to get their next tip." Don explained.

"Come on, let's get going." Junior told his dad.

And they hurried into the building, with the other teams following suit. Meanwhile the other teams, boarded the train to Athens.

"I hope this challenge doesn't involve anything physical." hoped Mickey.

"Me too." added Jay.

"My legs are getting sore."

The Surfer Dudes looked back at them.

"You know dudes, all that soreness means you're getting muscles." Geoff informed.

"Really?" wondered Mickey in disbelief.

"We're getting muscles?" asked Mickey.

"That's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to us." Jay mentioned.

Meanwhile, the teams already in Athens got started on the challenge. They picked a portrait, and ones who pulled the chariots, posed for the picture, while the passengers started to draw.

"Try and keep still, son." Dwayne told.

"I am." Junior replied.

"Make sure you get my good side, Josee." Jacques said.

"I got it."

"How's this pose?" Carrie asked Devin.

She had her hand on her hip and her knee bent.

"Looking good, Carrie." Devin told her.

As the others drew, the other teams arrived, and began the challenge. The Father and Son were the first team to finish. They quickly showed their picture to the guide; after looking it over, he gave them their tip.

"Yes, first place!" cheered Junior.

"It says we now have to bike ride to the Chill Zone located at the Parthenon." Dwayne read.

"Let's go."

And the two hurried outside, grabbed two bikes, and pedaled off.

"While the Father and Son bike off in first place, the other teams are following close behind." Don announced.

The New Couple finished next, then the Mother and Daughter, and the Cops.

"Come on, sweetie. If we pedal fast enough we can probably get first place." Kelly encouraged.

"Just try not to pedal too fast, Mom. You don't want to get your outfit all sweaty." Taylor replied.

Then they took off, with the other teams following them. When the Ice Dancers left the building, they decided to do something nasty.

"It's time to start playing a little dirty." Josee declared.

"Yeah, we're way too far behind." agreed Jacques.

Josee took a pin, and quickly poked a couple holes in some of the tires of the other bikes.

"That'll take care of some of them, let's go Jacques."

The Ice Dancers got on their bikes, and quickly rode off. Back inside, some of the other teams had just finished. The Goths, Daters, and Sisters got their next tips from the tour guide.

"Come on, let's go." instructed Emma.

They all jumped on the bikes, and pedaled away.

"As teams manage get on their bikes, some of the first teams are getting closer to the Chill Zone." Don informed.

The Father and Son and New Couple were neck in neck. And the first team to reach the spot...was the Father and Son.

"Congratulations, Father and Son you're in first place."

The two cheered and high fived each other.

"This is so awesome. First place." cheered Junior.

"And this time I didn't do anything to give us a penalty." Dwayne added.

"New Couple you're second." Carrie and Devin cheered.

"And Mother and Daughter, you're third."

The other teams, finished their pictures, and hopped on their bikes. However, some of the teams found their bike rides becoming a little rocky.

"What's going on with these bikes?" asked Stephanie.

"I think we're getting a flat." Ryan said.

"Ours too." mentioned Ennui.

"Oh no, our tires are going out too." Kitty mentioned.

"What are we gonna do?" wondered Stephanie.

Then they heard other teams coming on their bikes. It was the Reality TV Veterans, Geniuses, and the Surfer Dudes.

"Hey, you guys need some help?" offered Owen.

"Yeah, our tires are flat." Kitty told them.

"We can give you a lift." said Ellody.

"Emma rides with me." Noah called dibbs on.

Emma got on Noah's bike, Kitty on Owen's, Crimson boarded Ellody's, Ennui got on Mary's, Geoff let Ryan ride on his bike, and Stephanie got on Brody's. Then they all rode off.

"We're getting closer, Jacques." Josee said, as she pedaled her bike.

"We may not be first, but at least we'll be in the winning half." Jacques replied.

Just then, the other teams came up from behind them.

"Hey, dudes." greeted Geoff.

The Ice Dancers couldn't believe what they saw. They went fast, but the other teams were able to keep up. Then they got to the Chill Zone.

"What's this about?" Don wanted to know.

"Our bikes got flat tires, so but we caught a ride." Kitty explained.

"Flat tires, huh?" Don looked at the Ice Dancers.

"What?" Jacques asked.

"Uh huh. Anyway Ice Dancers you're 4th, Reality TV Veterans 5th, Sisters 6th, Geniuses 7th, Goths are 8th, Surfer Dudes 9th, and Daters 10th."

"This is very exciting." said Mary.

"Last time we got booted out third. So this is a major improvement." Ellody explained.

Then the other teams began arriving. 11th were the Adversity Twins, 12th came the Cops, 13th the Vegans, and 14th were the Rockers. It was now down between the Fashion Bloggers and the Brothers.

Tom and Jen lost track of time while looking at some historical outfits that were on display, and Chet and Lorenzo got a little carried away having fun on their bikes.

"Come on, bro. We gotta go faster." urged Chet.

"I'm going." said Lorenzo.

"Pick up the pace, Tom. We can't get eliminated third." Jen told her partner.

"I know, if we get eliminated now we'll never see any other country's fashion." Tom replied.

The last two teams pedaled as hard as they could. Then they could see the Chill Zone a few feet away. The Fashion Bloggers really pushed themselves. And they managed to get to the Chill Zone first.

"And the Fashion Bloggers are 15th. Brothers I'm afraid you're out." Don told.

The Brothers groaned.

"Well maybe this is for the best." Chet said.

"Yeah, I bet there's some great movies playing back home." Lorenzo added.

And they left.
