Chapter 10: Tokyo (A/N: There's a poll on my profile regarding my next total drama story. Check it out)
Leawright: Thx, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too.
"Last time on the Ridonculous Race; our teams went to Egypt where they got wrapped up like mummies, and got a lesson in hieroglyphics. The Ice Dancers tried to do some sabotaging, and Kelly went hard on her parenting. But in the end she and her daughter were the ones to leave. Who's next on the chopping block? Find out now on...the Ridonculous Race." Don announced.
"We're still in Egypt, and the Goths are about to get their next tip." Don said.
Crimson pressed the button on the Don Box, and a tip came out.
"We're going to Tokyo." she read.
"Tokyo, Japan. Home to Mt. Fuji, sushi, kimonos, and sumo wrestling. The teams will will get their next tip at the airport."
And with that, the teams hurried to the airport.
"I can't believe we're going to Tokyo." said Tom.
"Those kimonos are so gorgeous, and the silk feels so nice." added Jen.
At the airport, the Ice Dancers, Father and Son, Daters, Sisters, and Goths got tickets first.
"Do you think we can win this one, Dad?" asked Junior.
"We could be, sport. We just have to give this challenge our all." Dwayne said.
"As the first group of teams leave for Tokyo, the rest of the teams have to wait for the next flight out."
"You know, I don't think I've ever tried sushi before. What do you think it tastes like?" Owen asked Noah.
"Raw fish." Noah replied.
On the plane, the Ice Dancers plotted.
"All right, we need a specific team to mess with. But who?" thought Josee.
"We already tried the Daters, why don't we try the Sisters?" suggested Jacques.
"The Sisters? Hmm, we could try them this time."
When the plane landed, the teams made a beeline for the Don Box. The Father and Son managed to get there first this time.
"It's an all in." read Dwayne.
"In this all in, teams will have to come to this dock and fish for four sea creatures, preferentially a tuna, salmon, crab, and hamachi. And then show them to this local to get their next travel tip." Don said.
"Come on son. Good thing we went fishing last summer."
And they ran off, with the other teams following.
Meanwhile, the rest of the teams had just gotten on the next flight to Tokyo.
"I've been checking my allergy list, and it doesn't look like we have anything to worry about in Tokyo." said Mickey.
"That's good. We don't want an allergic reaction happening." replied Jay.
"I can't wait to see Tokyo." Carrie told Devin.
"Me neither. It's a great city." Devin agreed.
Back in Tokyo, the teams managed to get to the docks. They grabbed some fishing poles, and started to fish. It took a minute, but soon they were getting bites. As the Ice Dancers fished, they started planning their sabotage.
"Okay, are you ready Jacques?"
"I've got the worm ready."
"Then do it."
Jacques sneaked up on the Sisters, and put the worm on the back of Emma's shirt. The worm wiggled around, and managed to crawl down her shirt. Emma felt something moving on her back, and began screaming and running around.
Kitty couldn't help but giggle, and pulled out her phone. Emma continued to shriek and jerk, until the worm finally fell out.
"Whew."
The other teams laughed at her, except the Goths. Emma's face turned red with embarrassment, and she saw Kitty with her phone out.
"Kitty, did you record that?"
"Maybe."
Emma growled with anger.
"Not everything is meant to be recorded and put on the Internet."
"Oh come on, sis; it was funny. Besides I wasn't going to put it online."
Emma then looked at her suspiciously.
"What? I wasn't."
"While the other teams have just landed in Tokyo. Some of the first teams have caught their fish." Don announced.
The Father and Son had got their fish, and showed them to the local. After looking it over, she gave them their tip.
"Yes, first place." said Dwayne.
"Awesome!" cheered Junior.
"It says we have to tandem bike." Dwayne read.
"For the second part of the challenge, teams will have to tandem bike to the Tokyo Tower, give their fish to this sushi chef, watch them prepare and then eat the sushi. And then have to race to the next Chill Zone." Don informed.
And they took off. Then the Goths, and the Ice Dancers. As they left, some of the other teams joined. When Noah saw Emma, he smoothly walked over to her, and placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Hey beautiful. How're the fish biting?" he asked.
At first she flinched, but relaxed when she saw it was her boyfriend.
"The fish are biting fine, except my sister has to make jokes all the time."
"I wasn't the one who put that worm on you." Emma defended.
Owen and Noah just looked at each other confused.
"As the rest of the teams continued to fish, the others have reached the Tokyo Tower." announced Don.
Dwayne and Junior biked up first, and gave their fish to the chef.
"This is really exciting. I've never tried sushi before." Junior said.
"I personally don't see what the big deal is." Dwayne piped up.
"It's just raw fish."
When the chef finished preparing their sushi, the Ice Dancers and Goths arrived. Back at the dock, the Cops, Daters, Sisters, New Couple, and Reality TV Veterans caught their fish. They all hopped on their bikes, and pedaled off.
"Be sure and keep up, Kitty." Emma told.
"Hey, we're on a tandem bike. It's not like I'm gonna fall behind." Kitty defended.
"Those two better stop fighting, if they want to get any further." whispered Ryan.
At the Tokyo Tower, the chef had just finished all the sushi. Then they began eating it. The Ice Dancers ate it with no problem, as did the Goths. However the Father and Son were having a hard time getting it down.
"So it turns out sushi is a required taste." Junior confessed.
"Finished!" announced Jacques. After getting the okay from the chef, the Ice Dancers smiled waved, and ran off.
"Just as the Ice Dancers take the lead. The Fashion Bloggers, Adversity Twins, and Surfer Dudes have just gotten their fish." Don informed.
"Come on, Tom. We've gotta step it up." urged Jen.
"I'm coming. I can't let these fish stain my clothes."
"OMG, I didn't think of that, be careful."
They all got on their bikes, and rode off. The next teams to finish their sushi were the Goths, Daters, Father and Son.
"I still don't know why you're mad. You know I like making videos." Kitty told her sister, as they waited for their sushi to get done.
"I know, but you can't keep getting distracted while we're in the middle of a challenge."
"Oh, you're one to talk. Don't you remember last year when I had to break you out of your "Noah trances"?"
"Don't you dare bring that up."
The Sisters were so busy fighting, they didn't notice their sushi was finished. The New Couple, Daters, Cops, and Surfer Dudes finished their sushi next, and hurried to the Chill Zone.
"Do you think the Sisters are still fighting?" Jacques asked Josee.
"Of course they are." Josee assured.
"All sisters fight."
Don was sipping some tea, waiting for the teams to arrive. The Ice Dancers arrived first, and smiled and waved as they finished.
"Ice Dancers, you're 1st place." he told them.
As they cheered, Don grumbled under his breath.
"If only someone could beat them."
2nd place were the Daters, 3rd the Goths, and 4th were the Father and Son.
Back at the Tower, the others teams finished their sushi, and left. But Noah was hesitant to leave, because Emma hadn't finished yet.
"She'll be okay, we have to go." Owen urged.
Noah sighed, and ran off following Owen. The Sisters managed to finish their sushi. And as they were leaving, Kitty looked at the video again, but saw something odd.
"Hey, Emma look at this."
"I don't want to see that video."
Kitty grabbed her sister's arm, and pulled her over. As they looked at the video, they noticed the Ice Dancers were looking very smug. The two looked at each other.
"You think..."
"Oh yes."
"Those no good Ice Dunces!" exclaimed Kitty.
"It was them who put that worm down my shirt. They wanted to make us fight to we'd be distracted and let ourselves get eliminated." Emma ranted.
They quickly started running. 5th place were the Cops, 6th came the New Couple, 7th were the Reality TV Veterans, and 8th were the Surfer Dudes.
"The Fashion Bloggers, Sisters, and Adversity Twins are the only teams left. Only two teams will stay, but one will have to go." Don said.
"Come on, we have to hurry." urged Mickey.
"I'm coming." Jay replied.
"Faster, Kit, faster!" called Emma.
"We can do this Jen. Just keep going." Tom told.
The Sisters managed to pull ahead, and got the Chill Zone.
"Sisters, you're 9th."
The girls cheered, the Reality TV Veterans were happy, while the Ice Dancers looked upset.
"(Growls), I thought we were gonna be able to get rid of those Sisters." Josee complained.
The Adversity Twins and the Fashion Bloggers were neck in neck. Suddenly Jen fell, and ripped her shirt.
"(Shrieks), Tom my shirt!" she cried.
"OMG, that was Egyptian cotton." Tom gasped.
The Fashion Bloggers were so distraught, they let the twins pass them.
"And Adversity Twins, you finish second to last." Don told them.
"Awesome." cheered Jay.
"Fashion Bloggers. I'm afraid you're out."
"Good, this is a fashion emergency." Jen said.
"Maybe we can find a replacement before we leave." Tom comforted.
"Or maybe pick up some silk robes."
