Chapter 11: Sweden

Leawright: So am I. And thx.

"Last time on the Ridonculous Race, the teams went to Tokyo and ate sushi they caught themselves. The Ice Dancers tried to make the Sisters argue so much, that they'd make themselves fall behind. But that ended up failing, and the Fashion Bloggers were the ones to leave. What'll happen next and where will we go? Find on now on the Ridonculous Race." Don announced.

"We're still in Tokyo. And the Ice Dancers get first dibs on the Don Box." Jacques pressed the button, and got the tip.

"Our next stop is, Sweden."

"Sweden, home to meatballs, canals, and Stockholm. Team will need to catch the next flight out."

The teams raced off, hailed down some cabs, and rode off to the airport.

"We've got to come higher this time." Sanders said.

"Exactly, so we're kicking it up this time." added Macarthur.

"At the airport, the next flight to Sweden will be leaving in a few minutes. But luckily there's room for everyone." Don told.

After getting their tickets, the teams boarded the plane.

"I can't wait to try some Swedish meatballs." said Owen.

"Should I even be surprised you're still hungry?" asked Noah.

"Hey, that sushi wasn't very filling."

The Ice Dancers were glaring around.

"Sabotaging other teams isn't working. We need another method." Josee told.

"But what?" wondered Jacques.

She thought for a minute, and then thought of an idea.

"We'll do some old fashion cheating."

The two snickered evilly together.

Hours later, the flight landed in Sweden. The teams raced off the plane, and out of the airport. The Cops managed to get there first, and Sanders pressed the button.

"It's an all in." she read off the tip.

"For this all in, teams will have to catch a cab, come to the Sweden Ice Hotel, where everything is made of ice. They'll have to pick a room, and lie down on these beds made of solid ice for a full ten minutes." Don told.

"Once they're done, they'll collect their next tips from this local."

"Come on!" Macarthur ordered.

And they ran off to get a ride. The Ice Dancers tried to get ahead of the Cops, but they weren't quick enough. The Cops got a cab first, and Ice Dancers had to wait a little while.

"Get used to silver, cause you're gonna be placing it." Macarthur taunted.

And the cab drove off, and Josee and Jacques growled. Soon the other teams, were able to flag down cabs.

"I can't believe we're going to a hotel that made entirely of ice." said Stephanie.

"Don't worry, babe." Ryan assured.

"I'll keep you warm."

"Aw, you're the sweetest."

And they began to kiss each other.

The Cops' cab got to the Ice Hotel, and they hurried inside.

"Wow, this place really made entirely of ice." observed Macarthur.

"Come on we need to find a room." Sanders told.

A worker then led them to an empty room. They then lied down on the bare ice bed.

"Oh my gosh this so cold."

"Come on Sanders. We're cops we face worse than this."

And they started their ten minutes.

"While the Cops start their "bed rest", the other teams have begun to arrive."

The next group of teams to arrive were the Ice Dancers, New Couple, Sisters, Adversity Twins, Goths, and Surfer Dudes. When they got their rooms, they felt the cold of the bed. The Sisters shivered, the Surfer Dudes' teeth chattered, the Goths just lied there emotionless, while the Adversity Twins looked content.

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm glad we have this condition." said Jay.

"Yeah, lying on this ice bed, just feels like a hard bed." Mickey added.

"How can people sleep on these things?" wondered Devin.

"I bet the regular guests have pillows and blankets on their beds." Carrie replied.

"H-h-has it been ten minutes yet?" Jacques wanted to know.

"D-don't worry, Jacques. I've got us covered." Josee told him.

She reached into her pocket, and pulled out a pack of sticky heating pads.

"Good for sore muscles, and for keeping warm." she whispered.

The two stuck the pads onto themselves, and felt the warmth on parts of them. The next teams to arrive were the Reality TV Veterans, Daters, and Father and Son. Just as they got their rooms, the Cops, Ice Dancers, Goths, and Adversity Twins finished.

When they got outside, they raced to get their next tip. The Cops and Ice Dancers fought to get there first, and the Adversity Twins took advantage of the situation. And the local gave Jay the tip.

"It's an either or." he read.

"In this either or, teams will have to stuff at least ten Swedish meatballs in their mouths, or they can peel two dozen crayfish. When they're finished they have to present it to this local, and then race to the Chill Zone." Don told.

"Let's go." declared Mickey.

And they hurried off to the next challenge, which they had to get to by bus. Once they were all on, the bus took off. The next teams to finish were the Reality TV Veterans, Sisters, Surfer Dudes, Daters, New Couple, and Father and Son.

They got their tips, and waited for the next bus.

When the bus reached its' destination, the teams chose which challenge to do. The Cops and Adversity Twins decided to stuff meatballs into their mouths, while the others picked the crayfish.

"We're allergic to shellfish. So the meatballs will be easier." Mickey informed.

They then got started. "I hope we can get these things in our mouths." said Sanders.

"They're pretty big."

She picked one up, and it was the size of a golf ball.

"Ah, we can do it." Macarthur assured.

And she started to put them in her mouth.

"As the first group of teams, start their either ors, the second group of teams have finally boarded their bus." Don announced.

The Ice Dancers tried quickly to peel the crayfish, while the Goths did it more slowly. Mickey stuffed a meatball into his mouth, and then picked up another to stuff in.

"I never knew how small our mouths were." Jay observed.

"Just keep trying." his brother encouraged.

The Ice Dancers managed to finish first, and they presented their crayfish to the local. She took a look at them, but then gave them a thumbs down.

"What? What is wrong with them?" Jacques wanted to know.

Just then, the Goths came up with their bowl of crayfish. While the Ice Dancers' crayfish were all rough and raggedy looking, the Goths were neat and cleanly peeled. The local gave them a thumbs up.

As the Goths ran forward, the Ice Dancers couldn't believe it.

"So they have to look a certain way?" asked Josee.

"I guess we should've seen this coming. After all form is everything in everything." Jacques replied.

"While the Ice Dancers go back to try again; the other teams have arrived, and are picking their challenge."

"Can we do meatballs please?" Owen pleaded with Noah.

"(Sighs), just try not to swallow them all before the judge sees." Noah replied.

"So son, which one should we do?" Dwayne asked.

"Let's do the meatballs." Junior said.

And so the Reality TV Veterans, Father and Son, Surfer Dudes, and Daters picked meatballs, while the Sisters and New Couple picked to peel crayfish. The Cops presented themselves with their mouths stuffed with meatball, and they got the thumbs up.

They then spit them out, and ran off. Next the Ice Dancers quickly presented their newly peeled crayfish. Once they got the thumbs up, they hurried after the Cops.

"No way are we letting those rookies get ahead of us again." snarled Josee.

And Jacques nodded in agreement.

As the other teams ran to the Chill Zone, the Cops and Ice Dancers gave each other the stink eye. The Cops pushed forward, and managed to come in first.

"Lady cops, you're in first." Don told them.

"Boo-ya!" Macarthur cheered.

"Awesome!" Sanders yelled.

"And Ice Dancers, you're second...if no one comes in the next thirty minutes. You've got your first penalty." informed Don.

The timer then appeared, showing 30 minutes. The Ice Dancers were shocked. "What? Why?" Josee wanted to know.

"Seriously, cameras are always watching you. You think I didn't see you putting those heat patches on you?"

The Ice Dancers crossed their arms and sulked, as the Goths came to the Chill Zone.

"Goths, you're 2nd place."

Back at the challenges, the next ones to finish were the New Couple, Adversity Twins, Reality TV Veterans, and Daters. The Ice Dancers paced around, waiting for the time to run out.

"(Groans), can't this go any faster?" Josee demanded.

"Nope." Don replied simply.

3rd came the Daters, 4th were the New Couple, 5th came the Sisters, and 6th were the Reality TV Veterans. "Good job guys." complimented Kitty to the guys.

"Thanks, those meatballs were tasty." replied Owen.

"I'm just glad Owen waited to swallow them after the judge checked us." Noah said.

That made Emma laugh, as she walked up to him.

"You can really keep your partner in line."

They then put their arms around each other. The Surfer Dudes came in 7th, and it was now down between the Adversity Twins and the Ice Dancers.

"Come on, Mickey we can still be in this thing." Jay told.

"I'm trying." Mickey replied.

Time was just about up for the Ice Dancers' penalty, and the Adversity Twins were getting closer. There was no way the Ice Dancers wanted to lose to those pathetic twins. But then the twins felt a wave of adrenaline in them, and the ran faster.

The timer buzzed, the Ice Dancers ran, but the Twins managed to get there first.

"And the Adversity Twins take 8th." said Don.

The Ice Dancers looked stunned.

"Does that mean...we're out?" asked Jacques.

Everyone cheered.

"Believe me nothing would be better. But this is a non elimination challenge, so you're still in. Unfortunately."

While the Ice Dancers cheered, the other teams groaned.
