Tommy crawled from his master's hut in the pre-dawn hours. Yoda himself had just started their breakfast and soon enough, they would eat. This was the way the days that had turned into weeks and turned again into months began. Master and apprentice would wake early. Yoda would begin the day's first meal and Tommy would go out into the swamp which was only slightly muggy in the early morning hours and begin practicing a complex Kata.

Before beginning the Kata, Tommy tied his now long hair back into a ponytail and began to stretch. In his time on Dagobah, not only had Tommy's hair grown long but, he had grown a beard. Lacking a razor he couldn't shave it, but using a mirror and some small scissors that Yoda had fashioned he kept it neatly trimmed. In addition, with guidance from The Force and the materials Yoda provided, he fashioned himself several sets of traditional Jedi Robes.

Tommy cleared his mind and began his Kata by throwing a lightning-fast sidekick. He then spun around, blocked an unseen incoming strike, and countered with an open-palm strike. He then jumped into the and did a double jumping spin kick. Hearing his students kiyia's Yoda glanced out the window and smiled. Again the young man was completely at peace as he practiced the intricate movements.

After breakfast, the two sat on two flat-topped rocks in meditation. This had quickly become one of Tommy's favorite parts of his Jedi training. He sat motionless and focused on his breathing. "Slowly in," he thought to himself as he reached out with The Force. The Force had shown him so much. The Clone Wars, the fall of The Republic, and Rise of The Empire. He glimpsed a man in his early twenties, a hero of The Republic be preyed upon by a master manipulator and fall to darkness and become Darth Vader. He saw what could only have been Darth Sidious Skeaming in the former Jedi Temple, in the chamber that had been the sitting place of The Jedi High Council. He felt the joy that the man he felt as evil incarnate felt in sitting in the home of his fallen enemies. He had seen Sidious' pride and joy, a weapon he called "The Death Star" nearing completion, and its imminent destruction not long after. Eventually, like so many times before he reached dimensions, and found his friends. When he did he saw them in a charity race then he felt it. A terrible evil, not so dissimilar from Sidius. "NO!" he yelled as he snapped out of his meditative state. He looked across at the ancient Jedi Master, who was looking at him with concern on his face.

"Showed you something disturbing, The Force has," Yoda said knowingly. Tommy nodded.

"I think my friends are in danger Master."

"Kept watch on your world I have. Right you are. An evil greater than Rita as returned."

"Wait, Master, do you know who or what it is?"

"For certain no. But suspect I do it is Lord Zedd."

"Who?"

"Rita's Master. A being of pure evil he is. Told me of him Zordon did."

"My friends will need help," Tommy said as he stood. Yoda growled as he nodded his head.

"Soon, but, ready now, you are not." Tommy looked at the Jedi Grandmaster with a look of frustration.

"But Master, you just admitted yourself that they will need my help," Tommy said in confusion.

"If you go now, help them you could, but risk everything thing they fight for you would."

"What?" Tommy asked.

"The Darkside, tempt you now it will. Complete your training must be, or risk turning into something as bad, or worse than Zedd you do."

Tommy sighed as he calmed his mind. He trusted Jason and the others, they would be fine. Zordon and Alpha would see them through. He had to complete his training. He remembered what The Force showed him, and what Zordon and Yoda told him of how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader. He nodded and looked at Yoda, appreciating the wise old Jedi's advice. "Let's continue then, Master." Yoda nodded in agreement sensing his padawan's now calm state of mind.

After finishing their period of meditation, the pair ate lunch, and soon after Tommy was running laps through the swamp with Yoda on his back. Running the course his master had laid out had become easy for Tommy. He had thought he was in good shape when he came to Dagobah. But running through the swamp had initially always taken it out of the young man. Now, he could run several laps without burning in his lungs. He was now on his tenth lap and fatigue was finally starting to catch up with him. From the home-fashioned backpack he rode in, Yoda reached out with The Force and pulled the roots of a tree up just ahead of his padawan. Acting partially on instinct, and partially from letting The Force guide him, Tommy flipped over the roots, gracefully landed on his feet and continued on without breaking his stride.

"Good Tommy, very good," Yoda praised as Tommy leaped from stone to stone to stone crossing the murky water. Eventually, he reached the gnarled roots of the large tree near Yoda's hut and climbed up them. Then, like so many times before he ran at a full sprint along the lower limbs of the tree and dove for a long vine, swung out let go, and landed near his master's hut. He felt something in his mind, like a calling. With it, a cold feeling radiated. He slowly turned in the direction from where he felt the cold and saw a cave at the base of the tree he had somehow missed.

"I feel cold," he said slowly, at first he didn't even realize he was speaking.

"A place of evil it is," Yoda said as he pulled himself from the backpack and dropped to the ground."In you must go."

"What's in there?" he asked as he slowly stepped toward the cave step by step.

"Only what you take with you," he heard Yoda reply as he took his first tentative step into the cave. At first, nothing seemed amiss, then Tommy passed through some strange fog, emerging in a place he never thought he would be again: The halls of Rita's Palace. A familiar laugh caught his attention. It wasn't Rita's or even Goldar's. It was his, or more accurately, the one he had done so often while under the spell of the evil witch. He spun and standing before him, was the green ranger.

"Finally come back to where you belong I see."

"No! It was Rita's spell! I'll never help evil again," Tommy protested.

"Then, you must be destroyed!" the green ranger said before charging at Tommy. Tommy sidestepped the charging green ranger and landed a quick roundhouse kick to the ranger's stomach. In response, the green ranger growled and the two began exchanging strikes. Punches and kicks flew at lightning speed. Tommy blocked a punch from the green ranger, and countered with a kick, only to have his one kick blocked and get punched in the face. He staggered backward and when the green ranger pressed his advantage Tommy surprised him with a jumping spinning back kick. Tommy's heel struck the ranger's helmet sending him crashing to the ground. However completely unphased by this, the green ranger charged again and threw a violent combination of punches and kicks with a ferocity that Tommy struggled to match. Eventually, the green ranger broke through Tommy's defenses and landed a kick to his chest, sending him crashing into one of the walls.

"You'll never win, I'll never turn to evil again, not so long as I have a choice," Tommy said breathlessly as he struggled to step away from the wall. Despite his bost, he knew he didn't have the energy to continue the fight, and the green ranger was still fresh, fresh, and bloodthirsty.

"Last chance Tommy," the green ranger said as The Dragon Dagger Materialized in his hand in a bright green light. "Set me free or die here and now!" he continued as he pointed the deadly weapon at Tommy. Tommy stared defiantly at the green ranger, then he closed his eyes and tilted his chin up, inviting the killing blow. He heard the green ranger growl he expected the blow to be quick and merciless. But. it never came.

Slowly, Tommy opened his eyes and saw the tip of the blade mere inches, if even that, from his neck. The green ranger lowered the blade before flipping it in his hand, now holding it by the blade. He held it out to Tommy. Hesitantly, Tommy took hold of the hilt and the green ranger nodded at him. Suddenly a familiar surge of energy went through his body and Tommy looked at his now gloved hands in shock through the lens of his green ranger helmet, Somehow, the green ranger powers were his once more. In the final moments that he had had them before, he could feel them slipping away as they weakened. Now, he could feel them at their full power once more.

Suddenly a glowing white light caught his attention. The glow came from a crystal that floated through the air toward him. Instinctively, he held out his hand and as the crystal fell into the palm of his gloved hand, it turned green. He left the cave in his green ranger suit. Yoda laughed when he saw his apprentice.

"Master, I found this," Tommy said holding the crystal out for Yoda to see.

"Hid it there, I did when I first got here. It is a Kyber Crystal. Found it I did, on my last visit to Illum. Called to me it did, but not meant for me it was. Time it is for you to build a lightsaber. Only then, can the last of your training begin."
