A/N: It's been a little longer than I would like since I last updated this story. Work and life in general have kept me busy. I hope you all will enjoy the next Chapter, and of course, leave a review. I love getting feed back on my work as I feel it helps me improve and continue to craft this story as it moves forward.
Two days later, Tommy had begun meditating for nearly an hour when he come out of it, he had a somber look on his face. "We need to go," he said looking at his team.
"Tommy, what's going on?" James Oliver asked his son.
"What I felt through The Force was the destruction of the planet Alderaan," Tommy said causing Kat to gasp, and the other rangers to look at him in shock.
"Senator Organa, General Riekeen?" Jason asked.
"I don't know," Tommy said with a sigh, "Most likely, they're dead."
"I don't get it, how could everyone on the planet know that they were going to die?" Allen Scott asked.
"The Death Star, it had to be," Tommy answered as he opened a hidden storage compartment in one of the computer banks and pulled out the officers' badges that General Riekeen had given them, along with the locator beacon.
"'Death Star?'" Heather Hillard asked with a confused look on her face.
"I saw it in a meditation during my time on Dagobah. "It's a massive space station with a super laser for a main gun capable of destroying entire planets with one shot."
"And you're going to go where that thing is?" William asked.
"Yeah," Tommy said with a nod. "Look, I don't expect any of you to come with me," he added looking at the other rangers.
"No way," Trini said stepping forward. "You are not going alone."
"That's right Tommy," Billy said nodding his head.
"We're a team man," Zack said putting his hand on Tommy's shoulder.
"Where you go, we go," Kat said as she took one of the lieutenant's badges from his hand and pinned it to her shirt. The others quickly did the same drawing looks of concern on their faces.
"You can count on that," Jason said taking his badge.
"Will you all just, please be careful?" Heather asked looking at the group of determined teens with a look of mixed fear and pride.
"We will," Kat said, smiling at her mother.
"We'll teleport to Dagobah first. I want to check in with Master Yoda, then, we'll use the locator beacon to find The Rebels."
"Rangers, before you go, Alpha and I have managed to upgrade your Zords systems with an inter-dimensional travel program," Zordon said drawing smiles from the teens.
"Should you need your Zords you will now be able to call on them," Alpha added.
"Thanks, Zordon, Alpha," Tommy said as he nodded at them. "Everyone ready?" he asked raising his communicator.
"Ready," the others said. Without another word, the teens teleported away.
They landed on the swamp world a few seconds later near Yoda's hut. The wise old alien looked at the teens with a smile.
"Tommy, back so soon you are," Yoda said with a laugh.
"Master Yoda," Tommy said as the others bowed slightly. "I felt the destruction of Alderaan through The Force. I believe it's time my friends and I joined The Rebellion, especially since we have reason to believe Lord Zedd and Darth Sidious have teamed up."
"A deadly and dangerous alliance, this is. Join The Rebels you must," Yoda said with a nod and a growl in his throat.
"Let's see here," Billy said as he activated the locator beacon. A holographic image of the galaxy came to life. A second later, several red dots appeared some stationary, some moving slowly and others more quickly. "Looks like the largest concentration of Rebels is here, on the fourth moon of the planet Yavin," Billy said after taking a second to study the galactic map.
"That's where we're going," Tommy said remembering the visions he had in his meditations concerning the destruction of The Death Star.
"Tommy, remember what you have learned," Yoda said.
"I will, Master," Tommy said as he and the others bowed again. A second later, the teens teleported away again to The Rebels' main base. When they landed not far from the entrance to a large, pyramid-shaped, ancient temple. Not long after a group of level soldiers rushed them with their blaster rifles raised.
"Here we go again," Kat said raising her hands.
The Rebel Soldiers stopped short when they saw the officer's insignias pinned to their shirts. "Commander Oliver?" one of the soldiers asked.
"Uh, you know these guys Kenton?" Another soldier asked as he turned to face the one who had spoken.
"Yeah, Moran, these are the ones I told you about that helped us fight off The Empire on Dantooine."
"You guys better come inside," the man they now knew as Moran said.
The group walked into the temple which was a hive of activity. "What's going on here?" Kat asked.
"The Death Star is on its way, Lieutenant Hillard," Kenton said with a pale and nervous look on his face.
"'The Death Star?' Do you have a plan?" Tommy asked.
"General Dodonna is briefing the majority of our fighter pilots on that now," Moran said as they began working their way up a long winding staircase. When they reached the top they entered a large room with a computer simulation of a battle being played as an older man with silver wavy hair spoke to a large group of rebel pilots and one man about their age in a white tunic and pants. The other rangers all noticed Tommy had narrowed his eyes at the young man.
"Hey Tommy, what's up man?" Zack asked quietly.
"That's Luke Skywalker," Tommy answered.
"'Skywalker?'" Jason asked.
"As in Anakin Skywalker?" Trini asked.
"Yeah," Tommy said with a slight sigh.
"How is that possible?" Billy asked.
"Padm'e died shortly after giving birth, as far as I know, Vader and The Emperor both believe the children did not live."
"Wait, 'children?''" Kat asked her jaw hanging wide open.
"Padm'e gave birth to twins, one boy Luke, and one girl, who remains safely hidden."
The briefing quickly broke up and the Rebel pilots went down to the hangar, and Luke was taken to a changing room to change into a flight suit.
"General, Dodonna, these are the ones that landed outside," Moran said after he and the rangers approached the older man.
Tommy and the others quickly saluted the older man causing him to look in shock at them for a split second before returning the salute. "Commander Tommy Oliver, sir. These are my friends and teammates, Lieutenants Zack Taylor, Kat Hillard, Billy Cranston, Trini Kwan, and Jason Scott."
"Ah, yes," General Dondonna said as he shook their hands. "General Rieeken told me of you and your team. We could use your help."
"You'll have it General, but, can you tell us if Bail Organa or General Riekeen were on Alderaan?"
"Bail and his wife Breha were unfortunately killed, their Dauther Princess Leia was held captive by The Empire, but was thankfully rescued by a pair of smugglers, Han Solo and his Wookie partner Chewbacca, as well as our newest pilot, a young man named Luke Skywalker, and Ben Kenobi."
"'Kenobi?' Where is he? Kat asked seeing the hopeful look on Tommy's face.
"Killed, unfortunately, during their escape from The Death Star."
"Thanks for bringing us up to speed, General. How can we help?" Tommy asked.
"If any of you are experienced pilots we could still use a few more, failing that, then The Empire arrives, and they'll likely send an assault force to stop any evacuation efforts and to try and capture any of our leadership.
"Consider it done, guys, we're on ground duty let's morph and get to it," Tommy said as he turned to his team. Nodding their heads, the other rangers turned as well. "It's Morphin Time! Dragonzord!"
"Mastadon!"
"Pterodactyl!"
"Triceratops!"
"Saber-Tooth Tiger!"
"Tyranasourus!"
"Well, it appears Carlist may not have been leading me on about these guys," General Dodonna said to himself as he watched the six rangers run back down the stairs passing Princess Leia as she came into the command room.
"Who were they?" she asked when she reached General Dodonna.
"The ones who helped your father get off of Dantooine when The Empire discovered the outpost there."
"Is it true? The green one is a Jedi?"
"According to your father and General Rieekan, yes, he is."
