The Dream: Chapter 13

"Right, well as of right now we don't know much. We have a hunch as to who you are Lilly, but until Kurama and Touya can finish reading the book we found we won't really know anything." "Ooookay, then why call us all here binkybreath?" Glaring over at Yusuke, I am never going to live that down. Even though I am in my teenage form and will be for a long while, that ass won't ever let up. "Well we are here because we think we might know who Lilly is and I wanted to be the one to tell you the stories before anyone else got a chance. The stories are vastly different depending on who tells them and I don't want you to be frightened."

Everyone nodded and found comfortable places to sit as the rest of the group filed into the livingroom. Hiei and Lilly sat on the windowsill, Hiei's back against the edge looking out the window while Lilly's back was against the glass legs crossed and excitement in her eye. Kurama was in an arm chair next to the window beside Lilly, Rinku and Kuwabara sat on the floor up against the connecting wall. Genkai and Koenma stood at the next wall, in the door way to the kitchen; with Yusuke, Keiko, Shizuru and Yukina on the first couch, and Jin, Touya, and Chu on the second couch. Finally with Botan in the other arm chair next to Hiei.

"Right, so most of you have heard the story of Shizen and Ririsu, so this story is really only for the humans in the room and Lilly. However I feel many of these details will revealed as false after we finish the book." "Yeah okay babyface we get it, just tell us the damn story." "Shut it dimwit and listen, this involves all of you not just her and it would be good for you to learn some of your own history." Rolling his eyes, he slumped back into the couch wrapping his arm around Keiko, who seemed just as excited as Lilly was.

"Many years ago, before my grandfather or great-grandfather were born, there was the first ruler and creator of spirit world." "So like your direct ancestor was the creator of the whole spirit world?" Rolling his eyes, knowing how this story telling was going to go, "Yes exactly Kuwabara, one of my ancestors. He was a wise ruler and said to have two daughters and a son; the son taking over as ruler when he finally passed away, but the two daughters were something special. They inherited his gift of creation, where as the son did not." "Did he dress up as a baby too or was he actually a man?" "Yusuke be quite!" Keiko was tempted to smack him, but didn't want to waste more time.

"Anyways… the story goes that the two girls fell inlove with other members of the spirit world community." "Wow gross…hold on a minute, wouldn't that be like falling inlove with your sister?" looking over at Shizuru, Kuwabara shivered and started to turn pale.

"No you dope, would you both just shut up and listen." Taking a deep breath and composing himself, Koenma started again. "The members of spirit world were creations but not children to the great ruler, so it was perfectly acceptable for them to be together. So, the girls fell inlove and eventually ended up pregnant. The older of the two sisters, Ririsu, birthed a new world that would become known as demon world."

"Wait, their kids were world? But you just said the people weren't children of the guy?" "Dimwit shut up and let him finish, try to use that peanut sized brain in your head for once." "Yeah Urameshi." "Shut up Kuwabara!" "Ohh why don't you make me."

As the two fought, Hiei couldn't help himself but look over at Lilly who was giggling at the two boys. Stupid flower, this is pointless. That sparkle in her eyes is… no! His sudden jerk to refocus on the outside world caught Kurama's attention and he smirked at his old friend. "What do you want, fox?" They both frozen and slowly turned towards Lilly, who seemed to not have heard a single word as she was cheering on the fight taking place in the middle of the room.

"Hiei you must be more careful, until we know what her dream really means we cannot let her know of what our true demon forms are." "Hn."

"Enough you two!" "Yes, please stop. This is more important than your childish fighting." "Ohh shut it Botan, go jump on your oar or something." "Yusuke Urameshi, you disguising pervert!" As the fighting continued and more people got involved in the name calling, Chu slowly stood from the couch and walked over to the two boys on the floor; with one kick, he lunched Yusuke into the wall and with another Kuwabara into the ceiling. "Thank you Chu." Genkai glared at the two boys as they crawled back to their opposing corners.

"Well, shall I continue?" "Yes. Touya and myself have more important things to be working on. Please continue."

"So where was I? Oh yes, Ririsu gave birth to the demon world. And as the years past, members of spirit world were sent to this world for punishment. Creating the first demons. But when Shizen got pregnant and gave birth," his eyes drifted over and landed on Lilly's, "she gave birth to human world, a place where spirits could live out a life together in a physical form. The part of the story that gets interesting and involves you, Lilly, is that millenniums later it is to be said that Shizen disobeyed one of spirit world's greatest laws; she killed one of the humans in her world. The reason is unknown, but it resulted in her death and her spirit was imprisoned in spirit world." Everyone in the room who did not know of the story gasped in disbelief. "But before Botan got here, I asked her to check the dungeons and Shizen's soul is still there."

"So, how can Lilly be this Shizen if her soul is there?"

"I do not know Yusuke, but from the type of energy she has, it could be possible Shizen is somehow transferring her energy through Lilly. Much like what Raizen did you to. These are only guesses though, but now you all know as much as we do."

The room was quiet, waiting for someone to say something. Lilly was the first to speak, "Well okay then, so I have some super old chick living in my head, or body, or soul? Whichever. But now what do we do about it? If I loss control again," she looked around the room, all the faces of people she has come to love, she did not want to ever hurt them especially with something she couldn't control.

"We will continue your training; also Hiei and Kurama will try and find out if you have any powers of your own. In time you will learn to control your energy and for now that is the best we can do." Kurama nodded and Hiei grunted, but Lilly was still worried. What if I can't ever control it? What if I hurt or worse kill everyone I love? None of them deserve this. I should never have come here and endangered all of them.

"Listen Lilly, no worries alright. I had this happen to me once too, well twice. But I understand what you are feeling; I felt it too with my demon energy. Trust me you will be fine, and don't worry about all of us. We are a lot tougher than we look right guys?"

Everyone in the room agreed in their own way, calming the uneasiness she was feeling inside.

Right if an idiot like Yusuke, who listens to no one, can get it under control. Surely I can too!
