"Everyone clear on the plan?" Tommy asked as he surveyed the group.
"Yeah," Han answered with a disinterested tone. He leaned against one of the computer banks, the helmet to his exo-suit behind him.
"It's the best option we have, Han," Leia said glaring at the smuggler.
"Oh, I beg to differ Your Worship. The best option I had, was to make the jump to lightspeed, get out of The Yavin System, and pay off my debts. Instead, I had to go and let Chewie talk me into being noble."
"Whether you like to admit it or not, Han, I think you did what you did because deep down you want to be in this fight. Even if you don't want to admit it."
"Listen, kid, not all of us grow up as farm boys dreaming of grand adventure."
"Can we please focus on the problem at hand?" Jason asked stepping between the three. He glanced at Tommy who was shaking his head and pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration.
"Remember everyone, we'll be teleporting a block East of the park. Landing there will hopefully keep us unnoticed and able to come up behind the bleachers," Tommy reminded the group as he composed himself.
"Right, based on what we could see on The Viewing Globe, and in the hologram, that should put the bulk of the putties and Stormtroopers between us and the hostages," Kat said.
"Meanwhile, we'll circle around the park and come up from behind," Leia said. She looked at Luke, Chewie, and Han. Luke nodded and put on his helmet. Han did the same, only with an annoyed shake of his head. Chewie gave a roar and gripped his bowcaster tightly in his large hand.
"Very well rangers," Zordon began, "Good luck, may The Power protect you, and The Force be with you.
"Let's do it guys," Tommy said as he glanced one last time at the holographic map. "It's morphin' time! Dragonzord!"
"Mastadon!"
"Pteradactlye!"
"Triceratops!"
"Saber-tooth Tiger!"
"Tyranasouarus!"
Seconds later, the rangers along with Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewie landed as Tommy had planned. They all began running toward the park. The rangers led the way, with Luke, Leia, and Han behind them, and Chewie bringing up the rear. As they neared the park, they caught the attention of some of the Police that had formed a line around the perimeter of the park. One stepped ahead to meet the rapidly approaching group.
"Rangers, I'm Lieutenant Jerome Stone, Angel Grove Police Department," the officer said as Tommy and the others came to a stop.
"Lieutenant," Tommy said with a nod. "We have a plan to deal with this, if you and the other officers can keep the public back, we'd greatly appreciate it."
"We'll do that. If you don't mind my asking green ranger, we recognized Lord Zedd's foot soldiers and his top goon, but what's with the guys in white armor?" Lieutenant Stone asked.
"Lord Zedd has made an alliance with another megalomaniac, the Stormtroopers are his," Tommy answered before looking at his new allies. "Luke, Han, Leia, and Chewie, follow the police line to the rear of the park, Set up as best you can behind the stage, and wait for my signal."
"You got it," Leia said with a nod, "Come on you three."
"Hold on a second," Lieutenant Stone said stopping the four in their tracks. "Sanchez, Sanchez come here"
"Yes, Sir?" a young officer asked after stopping in front of Lieutenant Stone.
"Take a car, and get these guys where they need to go."
"Yes, Sir!"
Tommy and the others ran into the park. Once inside, they kept themselves to the trees as much as possible. They moved slowly and steadily through the trees trying their best not to give themselves away. As they neared the children's theater they could hear Goldar's gravely voice calling out. "RANGERS SHOW YOURSELVES! SURELY THAT OLD FOOL ZORDON HAS TOLD YOU WE HAVE HOSTAGES!" Goldar yelled before laughing evilly.
"Tommy, you think he knows we're here?" Kat asked.
"I doubt it, landing where we did kept us from teleporting over or even near the park," Tommy answered before raising his wrist to the molded lips on his helmet. "Leia, are you in position?" he asked.
"Ready and waiting," she answered over her exo-suit's radio that had been tuned to the same frequency as the ranger's communicators.
"See anything unusual?" Tommy asked.
"No, looks like all the hostages are being kept on the stage.
"Understood, stay out of sight and wait for my signal," he said before closing the channel. "Come on," he said to the other rangers as they all dropped to their stomachs and began to slowly crawl to their destination. The children's theater was built with bleachers into a hillside, looking down at the stage. Goldar had most likely believed they would teleport down into the theater itself. When they reached the edge of the bleachers they looked down, finding the situation just as Leia had described.
"I count seven Stormtroopers and ten putties, plus Goldar," Jason said after doing a quick count.
"Yeah, that's what I come up with too," Tommy said his eyes repeatedly scanning the area. Something was off and he could feel it.
"Tommy, what is it?" Kat asked having picked up on the unsure undertone in Tommy's voice.
"I'm not sure," he answered. He activated the targeting system in his helmet and linked the data to Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewie. He then highlighted four of the Stormtroopers. "Jason, Zack, and Trini, blade blasters up, hit the last three. Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewie fire on the highlighted Stormtroopers in three...two...one...fire!" At Tommy's command, from the sides of the theater near the two treelines four laser bolts struck the four Stormtroopers in the center of their armored bodies, the other three suffered a similar fate, courtesy of three beams fired form Zack, Jason, and Trini's blade blasters. Goldar began circling in place searching for the rangers.
"Rangers! Where are you!?"
"Right here Goldar!" Tommy yelled before he and the other rangers lept into the air landing between the putties and the hostages. One of the putties charged at Tommy only to have its Z-plate struck after the green ranger dodged its looping strike.
"I will have my revenge!" Goldar yelled as he charged at Tommy with his sword raised high. The other rangers with the assistance of well-timed shots from Leia and the others made quick work of the putties. Meanwhile, Goldar hacked, slashed, and stabbed at Tommy, who gracefully dodged each of the enraged alien's attacks. Finally, he drew The Dragon Dagger and blocked a slash from Goldar, and countered with a hard punch to the face, and a sidekick to the gut sending Goldar stumbling back.
"You've lost Goldar, go crawling and sniveling to your master," Tommy said pointing his dagger at Goldar as the other rangers, as well as Leia, Luke, Han, and Chewie, ran up behind the green ranger.
"Now Doom Bringer!" Goldar snarled. A tremor in The Force warned Tommy a split second too late. Cold inky coils looped around him and the others before they were lifted into the air and thrown hard into the stone bleachers. The group of heroes stood and faced a creature that reminded them of The Grim Reaper. It was tall and slender in a black robe with skeletal hands and a face with lifeless black eyes.
"Another of Zedd's monsters?" Zack asked as he rubbed his shoulder.
"My master's magic, mixed with Lord Sidious' alchemy," Goldar answered with an evil laugh.
"Tommy?" Trini asked leaving the rest of her question unasked.
"Be careful, I can sense that this thing is powerful."
"I think we should get the hostages out of here," Billy said placing his hand on Tommy's shoulder and pointing with the other to the hostages that stood rooted in place on the stage.
"Right, Zordon, Alpha, can you teleport the hostages to the police line?" Tommy asked into his communicator.
"Teleporting now, Tommy?" Alpha answered. With the hostages gone the rangers advanced on the creature. A large scythe materialized in its hand as it and the heroes began to fight one another. Any blow the rangers managed to land it simply shrugged off, and the hooked blade of its weapon sliced clean through Leai's blaster pistol.
Chewbacca gave an angry roar as he charged at the creature, intent on tearing it limb from limb. Another inky coil shot forward and wrapped around the wookie's neck. When Chewbacca roared again, Tommy activated his lightsaber and sliced through the coil causing the creature to howl in pain. Its eyes glowed red before two beams shot toward the green ranger who barely managed to dodge them.
On the moon, Lord Zedd watched the battle unfold through his telescopic beam. Darth Sidious stood by his side on the balcony sensing the battle through The Force, Darth Vader stood near the pair with his arms crossed in front of his chest. "I believe a growth bomb may be in order, my friend," Sidious said a sickly smile pulling at his face.
"Yes," Zedd agreed with a laugh as lighting formed the bomb in his hand. He threw it to Earth with an evil laugh.
"Oh, no! Look!" Billy said as he pulled himself to his feet after getting tossed by Zedd's monster once again. Doom Bringer had caught the growth bomb and slammed it to the ground causing itself to grow to gigantic proportions.
"We need Thunderzord Power now!" the rangers called out.
"Dragonzord Thunderzord Power!" Tommy called out before playing the summoning tune on his dagger's flute.
"Mastadon, Lion Thunderzord Power!"
Pteradactyle, Fire Bird Thunderzord Power!"
"Triceratops, Unicorn Thunderzord Power!"
"Saber-tooth Tiger, Thunderzord Power!"
"Tyranasourus, Red Dragon Thunderzord power!"
"You four get clear," Tommy said looking at The Rebels. The four teleported back to The Command Center, Luke going reluctantly. Once they were gone the rangers lept to their Zords. Tommy and Jason both transformed their Zords into their warrior modes and the other rangers quickly formed The Thunder Megazord. Doom Bringer laughed as it launched its eye beams at the Thunder Megazord striking it in the chest. The Zord Toppled and the emergency protocol took over throwing the rangers from the cockpit before it broke apart and the individual Zords returned to their hiding places for repairs.
"Tommy," Zordon's voice sounded over his communicator, "return to The Command Center immediately."
"Zordon we have to stop this thing," Tommy protested as he used his Zord's sword to slash at Doom Bringer. The monster's scythe cleaved through the sword, then struck the Zord's armored chest, leaving a deep gash. "No!" Tommy yelled as he was thrown from his own Zord as it transformed back into its dragon form and flew off.
"Tommy, are you okay?" Kat asked as she and Billy helped Tommy to his feet.
"Yeah, I hate to admit it, but we need to retreat."
"Right," the other rangers said, as they teleported away just before Doom Bringer's scythe sliced through the air where they had stood.
"Are you kids okay?" James Oliver asked when the rangers appeared in The Command Center.
"We will be Dad, once we figure out how to stop that thing."
"Zordon, is Doom Bringer still in the park?" Zack asked.
"No Zack, it seems that Zedd and Sidious have re-called it to the moon."
"Doom Bringer was incredibly powerful," Kat said. "Is there any way we can stop it?"
"I believe so Kat, but, your Zords will need to be repaired first."
"Our Zords?" Billy asked confused.
"Zordon I don't understand, what can our Zords do?" Jason asked.
"Jason's right, Zordon, that thing took our Zords down easily," Trini agreed.
"Rangers, behold The viewing Globe," Zordon said before the rangers and the others turned to look at the device. "Just as Titanus aided you in your battle against Rita, a new Carrier Zord will now aid you in the battle against Zedd. I give you Tor, The Shuttle Zord," Zordon said as the image of a massive turtle-like Zord appeared on The Viewing Globe. "Tor is heavily armed and armored, and when combined with the other Zords will form The Thunder Ultrazord."
"Alright! Doom Bringer is toast!" Zack said excitedly.
"In addition," Alpha began, "thanks to the Data provided by our new friends, Tor and by extension The Thunder Ultrazord, will be protected by a shield generator, is capable of deep space flight, and has its own hyperdrive."
