Hello my lovelies, so we finally got the three love birds together but Lilly has not admitted to her feelings out loud yet. So with that being said please do not hate me for the next chapter or two for they will be Yusuke chapters. I know this is all moving painfully slow, but for me this story is more about a creative outlet than likes or reviews. I welcome them always, but this story is more to see how far I can dig into a plot line rather than give all the fluff and smut the world wants. That must be obvious at this point in the story, but I felt I needed to say it. So enjoy the Yusuke driven chapter for now!

The Dream – Chapter 29

Lilly bounced down the stair case, she walked down the long hallway towards the kitchen door, and she swung it open and made her way to the stove top to cook some pancakes for herself. As she sat down at the table, the door connecting to the living room busted open, "Have a little fun did ya Lilly?" She looked up to see Jin and Touya walk into the room, smiling at her largely. "I did thank you for asking. Oh and about that, sorry if my energy was umm… over whelming. I tried to control it the best I could." Jin laughed loudly at the young woman, "Had Urameshi running for the hill ya did. Couldn't fight what he couldn't see I suppose." "Where is he now?" Though Touya smiled, his voice was a constant as ever, "He left for a walk when your energy started to rise, Keiko was going to go after him but decided to give him some space." Finishing her last few bites of food that she had all but shoveled into her mouth, she stood, "I'll go find him, I really should apologize to everyone else. It was unexpected and well… umm I'm sorry?" Jin laughed full heartedly at her playful attempts to apologize for something she was not sorry for as he lifted into the air, sitting cross legged he shrugged at her, "No one is too upset. Don't worry about it little Lilly. Just next time give a guy a warning would ya?" She nodded at him, "Sure thing Jin. Be good you two, remember no fighting in the house." She walked between the two and gave each a small kiss to the cheek before she walked out the front door in search of the half breed demon.

It didn't take her long to find Yusuke as he was making his way back to the temple. His hair had grown once again but the tattoos had disappeared, his hand was hung low as he slowly marched on. "Hey Yusuke." He looked at her through his bangs and growled in anger. "Yeah I know, I should have warned you all before I well… had my fun. I'm sorry man. I really didn't expect that to happen nor my energy to have any type of effect on yall. Forgive me?" As the two closed in on each other, Lilly was smiling kindly at the distraught looking man; when he came into arms reach from her, he reared back his right fist and planted it into her face. "You bitch, you are such a fucking bitch you know that right? Every time you let your energy go, I feel like I am being ripped in half. You really need to get a hold on it or fucking leave, this is my home too and are being more annoying than useful. Who the fuck cares what you are anymore, I am tired of this shit."

Lilly sat on the ground, rubbing her cheek as she looked up at the fuming man, keeping quiet as he vented his anger towards her. When he was done and glaring down at her, she spoke kindly, "I know Yusuke. Really I am sorry. I don't know why I have this effect on you and if I could stop it I would. If you truly want me to leave… I will. You are right, this is your home not mine. I should not be acting so careless." They stared at each other, one apologetic the other boiling over with rage; finally Yusuke dropped to a seated position in front of her and sighed heavily. "Naw of course I don't want you to leave, who else could I spar with and not get yelled at for hitting in the face. I just don't like it you know? Feeling like I have no control over my body. Last time this happened I spent two years learning to control it and it would just suck to go through that again." He was looking at his hands as he spoke; Lilly too was looking down at the grass below her. "Yeah I know." The sat in silence, both trapped in their own internal thoughts, until Lilly's head snapped up and she crawled towards Yusuke; placing a hand on top of his, dragging him from this thoughts. "I have an amazing idea, I know I said I didn't want to find out any more info what exactly I am, but I think it's time we do some more digging. After all, I don't think Hiei and Kurama would be totally down for hands off fun just because you can't handle my energy." She giggled at him as he exploded into a fit of laughter, commenting on the fact that she had just had sex with both of them and how awkward he felt about that.

"So what are you thinking? Go and talk the infant again, because I really don't think he can help." "Naw, I think we need to take a trip to demon world. Touya said he found some really good information last time he went and with you being a king and all, I'm sure we could find something out." He grinned at her, "Oh yeah," his voice was low as he let his wolf like teeth show. "I think we could find some stuff out. But what about Hiei and Kurama? They aren't going to like this." She grinned back, "You leave them to me." "Oh that I can do." They both laughed as they embraced in a hug, "Come on let me cut your hair for you."

On their walk back to the temple, the two talked about who they should ask for information and Yusuke explained the basics of demon world to her. "Hey Yusuke, you think we should add this to our training?" He looked at her with a raised eyebrow; she rolled her eyes at him, "This… my energy thing. Maybe if you get more use to it, it won't have such a strong effect. I promise I'll cut your hair every time." Yusuke stopped dead in his tracks, "No." She turned to look at her new friend with concern in her eyes, "Why not? It might help." "I can't." "Yusuke tell me what's really going on. I know being in your demon form doesn't truly bother you this much. Like you said you spent two years in demon world working on it."

He allowed his shoulders to slump as he told Lilly after the cravings he gets when in his demon form, how it makes him feel and how he wants to act but can't. He told her of the time he hurt Keiko while in that form, he did not mean to but something came over him and he was too rough on her and left bruises across her body for days; though she never complained, it still bothered Yusuke that he hurt the one person he swore he would always protect. Lilly looked at Yusuke with such sibling love in her eyes as he finished explaining why his demon form bothered him while in the human world that she couldn't help but throw her arms around his neck. "Yusuke I'm so so sorry. I didn't know. But if you won't train here, maybe we could while in demon world. I know you are strong, but unlike Keiko I am okay with you beating me up a bit. Please Yusuke, if anything it can only help. I don't like doing that to you and now that I know how you feel about it, it hurts me even more that I'm not better at controlling my energy." Yusuke snaked his arms around her waist as they hugged, she truly had become a good friend to him and someone he could lean on without getting too much teasing; he once again sighed and agreed to it but only while in demon world and far away from Keiko.

As they reached the entrance to the temple they agreed in two weeks they will leave to demon world and only be gone for a max of three weeks, any longer Keiko would go searching for him herself. "Right then, two weeks. I'll talk to Hiei and Kurama, while you get everything straightened away with Keiko. And don't worry Yusuke we will figure this out, one way or another."

"You are not going." "Hiei, yes I am. If you're going to continue to stand in my way at least help me pack." "No." Rolling her eyes she stopped in the middle of her room, placing a hand to her hip and looking over to the other man whom had not said a single word, "And you Kurama, what do you think?" "I think it is a good idea, though I agree with Hiei you shouldn't go alone." "Ugg, you two are impossible. How many times do I have to tell you, I won't be alone. Yusuke will be with me." "The former detective can't protect his own woman let alone ours." "Hiei knock it off, you are starting to sound like a jealous boyfriend. It doesn't suit you and besides Yusuke knows if he lets anything happen to me not only you two, but Jin, Touya, Kuwabara and Genkai will be after his ass." Hiei scoffed at her, "That is not reassuring little flower." "Okay for the last time. This is something Yusuke and I have to do alone, it's my energy that effects him like this and neither one of you have found any reasons as to why over the past two weeks. So now we are going to find out, if you would like I will take Kurama's phone with me so you can call every night to check up on me if you want DAD, but this is something we are doing no matter what you say." He growled at her, once again stepping in front of her to stop her from packing her small bag with extra clothes and hygiene products. "I said no." "And I said yes, now move."

The two continued to bicker this way for the next 30 minutes, until Kurama started to get a head ache; he stood from the chair at the side of her bed and walked out of the room without another word. The couple looked at the empty door way then back to each other, "Great look what you did Hiei, you pissed him off." "Me? You are the one walking into a world full of danger and will probably end up getting yourself killed. I'm surprised you have done so already with all the extra training with Youko you've been doing." "Hiei shut up, you are driving me crazy. For once just be your annoying quiet self."

"What is wrong little one?" "Do you think she should go? If they find out why Yusuke reacts this way it could lead down a more dangerous path and I know Lilly does not care to find out more about herself, she will look for answers anyways to protect those around her." "Why do you care?" "I do not want her to get hurt nor do I want Spirit World getting involved, thus far they have stayed out of our way. But with both her and Yusuke poking around, they are bound to find out about her sooner rather than later, and we still do not know where Ririsu is or what she would do if she found them." "Why have you not told the dragon of this? Of any of our conversations on the topic?" "Hiei would go on a killing spree if he knew Lilly was in this type of danger, he would probably drag her to some remote island and lock her away to keep her safe. Would you want that?" "No." "So what do you think I should do?" "Tell them." "Youko that is not helpful." "And why not? Last time, they both handled the free flow of information rather well, why not again?" "Because things have changed." "Sex has not changed anything little one. She loves you both and you love her, knowing what Yusuke is will not change that." "Yes, but it will make things… complicated." "You still do not see the bigger picture, that will be your downfall little one."
