The story takes place after Halo 3. Master Chief will have his Mk 4 design and Cortana will be entering rampancy.
The story begins with the Chief in his cryo pod on board the destroyed forward unto dawn as a wormhole opens up sucking the ship into the Xenoblade two universe. Master Chief and Cortana escape the ship before the ship falls into orbit using an escape pod that crashes into the land of morytha where Rex and Mythra did in the original game (for now).
When Chief exits the pod all around him, he sees the destruction left behind from what might have been a colony at one point but what destroyed it? It might have been due to them fighting each other for something because he doesn't find any corpses belonging to the covenant. after doing some exploring he climbs a tower to get a better view of the surrounding area and spots a tree that climbs high into the clouds and decides thats where he'll be off to next in order to leave the destroyed city and see if he can't get back to the UNSC. While on his way to the giant tree Chief runs into strange zombie-like creatures that kind of remind him of the flood but lack any human parts that he recognizes all glow a strange color of blue and when there killed leave behind a faded-out crystal but after a short period the creatures reappear causing the chief to put them down again and destroy the crystal. As he gets closer to the tree he notices that the entrance up to it is a long root but once he enters the tree he finds out it isn't a tree but what looks to be a metal tower with a panel and an elevator. Pressing the button he finds himself on the first floor of the tower and a bunch of robots that range from strange balls to bikes and humanoid ones. Making his way through the tower he finds two blue crystals that were eerily similar to the dark ones he found on the surface. When he was about to destroy them in order to prevent those creatures he fought earlier Cortana stops him saying how those two crystals read life signs in them. Chief asks what she means but she doesn't know herself but asks him to pick it up to see what happens. As he picks up one of them it begins to shine in his hand and out of panic he tries to throw it away but it stops in midair in front of him and it transforms into what looks to be a woman but with some odd attachments to her and wearing quite the odd outfit. when she fully appears in front of him she opens her eyes and reveals herself by the name of KOS-MOS and how she is ready to serve. Chief being confused by this asks her what she means by serve, and she responds with how she is a blade and their purpose is to serve their driver which is him in this situation. Chief then looks at the other crystal he didn't grab yet and asks her about the other one which she responds by telling him any driver can awaken any blade as long as they have the aptitude for it but in Chief's case isn't a problem seeing how he awakened her with little trouble. so he awakens the other crystal to find out that it is also another woman but this time wearing even less than KOS-MOS when she fully awakes she calls herself Telos. Making their way further up the tower they come to an opening walkway where the group comes out to witness a sea full of clouds and giant creatures in the distance and as they look below and see a giant metal serpent of some sort below them. Soon the team of three make it to the top of the tower to find an empty lobby where there isn't any movement in the room, nor are there any corpses which the chief finds concerning but trudges on forward, after a bit of walking the group find what looks to be a desert? no that doesn't explain the destroyed buildings and still no corpses but hears an ominous bell sound coming from a chapel so his group makes their way up to it and once they make their way inside they find a metal staircase leading underground with a hallway and at the end of the hallway sits what looks to be a deformed man who also appears to be levitating. as chief and his companions make their way toward him the man wakes up and in shock at his visitors.
A/N So what do you think? I think it's an interesting idea, I'm well aware of the problems of this so far but this is just an idea I'm throwing out there for an intro. This is also the first ever fic I'm writing and I was never a good writer but I'm willing to improve. As of right now, I'm not familiar with Klaus's character since my only experience with his character is just with Xenoblade 2 and I'm experiencing writer's block about how to continue about this. How would I get the chief to meet with the main cast without it feeling forced? And as for the Master Chief getting Telos and Kosmos, I thought it would be fun, and since If I remember correctly that in lore someone took them trying to climb the world tree and died like halfway through. Please review and I'm open to discussing ideas on how to continue this. If this gets like 20 follows and likes I might open a discord so that there may be better communication and you guys could tell me about lore that I'm not aware of or other things you want to discuss. I also thought this would be a good way to keep my inspiration up too.
