(Atlas, Alsius.)

"This is Reverent. Command? We are approaching the drop site." The Manta Pilot stated into his radio while he frowned to himself.

"Copy, is the target in range?" The pilot heard as he looked into the back of the ship. "Is Firecracker ready for deployment?" The pilot heard as he frowned to himself.

The answer was the sound of a pair of shotguns that were cocked and ready to be used in battle from the sound of it. The noise seemed almost entirely alien to him despite him being familiar with it.

"2 minutes to deployment. Remember, the plan is to capture it, not blow it up." The pilot stated while he leaned in his chair. "Are you sure we shouldn't wait for new reinforcements?" The pilot stated which was answered a lack of response which gave him the answer.

The pilot simply rolled his eyes and said nothing. He was simply a pilot and the weapons of the ship were the only real thing he could claim to command at the end of the day. He knew she was going to attack them next.

"Nah. It's the last solo mission, remember?" The pilot heard to which he tapped on the controls with interest.

"Yeah. That's going to help get you promoted from Sergeant." He stated while he rolled his eyes. "The fact that they're sending in either this ship or you? Means they're either desperate… Or they're fine with a lot of explosions and bad one-liners." He added with a sigh to himself.

"And? Isn't like command has had many problem solvers." The pilot heard before he crossed his arms.

"Yeah, Ms. Long. I'm sure that's why they're sending in you to handle this job." He stated with a sigh as he did so. "Get ready. I'll drop you in as close as possible. Remember, command still needs the data they're sending you in to capture at the end of the day." He added to which there was a wave of the hands.

He only wondered what their next assignment was to be if there were still rumors within command. There were plenty of rumors that bothered him and none of them helped with his nerves.

"Just come back in 20 minutes." He heard as the doors hissed open and there was the sound of guns.

That was before the occupant had been thrown from the gunship and into the cold tundra of Solitas. It almost made him sigh if he didn't realize that she did this ALL. THE. TIME.

(With Firecracker)

The girl grinned as she flew like one of the missiles that the manta that had carried her seemed to contain. She had been rather interested in what to do next.

"WOOHOO!" She said as she spiraled through the air like a giant spinning snowflake. "This is AWESOME!" She yelled to which the radio in her shirt crackled to life.

"Way to stay silent." She heard with interest before he cleared his throat. "Now half their base knows we're coming for them. They're ready and waiting. Stay ready for the next instructions then if we're going in loud and proud." He stayed with a sigh as he did so.

The fact that they'd be in for a battle rather than a quick mission as he wanted? It hadn't surprised him considering Firecracker was ALWAYS doing this in combat. It had gone from a pleasant amusement to simply part of his job to corral her rather than keep her in check.

Still? He was rather interested in what happened next before they destroyed the rest of the base. He was rather thrown off by the rest of his work as a pilot for her craft.

"So, no air support?" She asked as she fired more and more shots towards that direction while she frowned to himself.

"It will come down to help when this is done and over with." He stated while he crossed his arms and prepared for combat. "Try not to blow too much of the base up. The command still wants to check the base." He stated to himself for a moment.

There were the sounds of more combat below which meant this mission was already done.

He smiled to himself a second later.

Phew. The first chapter is done! This story is going to be replacing the other Yang story. It will be rather shorter as I only plan it to be maybe 75 chapters. The next chapter will be in 2-10 months when it comes down to it and will show Firecracker assaulting the base and sch. Until then with a 900–6500-word chapter, Lighting Wolf out!
