Chapter 14
"And just where do you think you're going?" Liv felt his lips capture her bare back before she could get her shirt on. She was sitting up in the bed and tried to do it all in one motion, as not to wake Fitz. That was useless.
Wrapping his arm around her shoulders now, and cupping her right breast, she was melting into the wet kisses he was giving up and down her bare back. "Fitz", she whispered, "I'm just going up to my place to get ready."
He stopped kissing, resting his lips on her shoulder, he finally pulled back. Fitz's forehead now rested on where his lips once were. "What if I don't let you go, you know hold you captive in this bed?" His breath, warm on her skin was not making this the least bit easy.
She moaned. "Don't do this to me Fitz." Her body turned and her lips fell directly on his. They had spent most of the night making love, how could they not? At one point, Liv was nervous Noelle had heard her, he made her that weak.
"You haven't had enough?" She smiled into the kiss.
"I could never have enough of you, Livvie." He pulled her into a hug. "But I won't keep you any longer, I know you have a special day planned for us. So where are we off to first?"
Her mouth was wide open in shock. "Fitzgerald Grant, don't you understand the meaning of surprise? I worked super hard to get us to do what I have planned for today. Believe it or not, your surprise was harder to get than her birthday surprise."
He nodded his head. "Ok, sounds fair, so what's up first?" He smiled, that insatiable smile, and Liv pulled her shirt over her head.
"You have no shame." Her pants went on next, and as she went to kiss him on the forehead, she heard her favorite little voice.
"Ovivia." It was a little raspy, still tired from sleep. She wasn't fully awake yet. She held Uni wrapped in her arm and in the other arm, Noelle rubbed one of her eyes. "Where you go?" She suddenly looked so sad.
"Aww, come here Noelle." Liv picked up her and put her on the side of the bed she once occupied. She caressed her soft hair. "It's still early, Noelle, I'm going upstairs to get ready for our big day."
Noelle tilted her head onto her daddy's chest, where he put a soft kiss on top of her head. "Yeah, my girl, remember all of Olivia's clothes are upstairs, she can't go in her pajamas."
Noelle smiled a small smile now, and she looked up at Fitz. "Silly." She pecked his cheek. "Breakfast?"
"Hmm, I don't know? Today Livvie is planning the day. Breakfast?"
The two of them looked at her. Identical blue eyes staring at her with question marks all over them. She took a deep breath, rolled her eyes, and said "you two are impossible." She smiled. "No, breakfast is not going to be here at home, we are going to the café, and we are playing the give away game, ok."
Noelle clapped her hands. "Yay" She squeezed UNI, "fun day already."
Fitz got up, scooped Noelle into his arms and held her high on his hip. They walked Olivia to the door. She took a glance up, before leaving, there were more picture frames up than the first time she was in the condo. It warmed her heart now when she looked at them.
Fitz had rearranged the ones with Noelle in her Christmas dress. Newborn until now (three years old), four pictures total going across in order. Down below, there began a new row. The first picture was of the three of them from the photo shoot Fitz had in the condo.
"Our first Christmas together." He said as he left it hanging and looked over at her last night. "What do you think?"
Liv remembered walking to him wrapping her arms around his neck and resting her head on his shoulder as she looked at the pictures. Her eyes were filling up with tears. "I think it's perfect, and I would like a lifetime of Christmas pictures together." She felt him hug her closer to him, as they just stared at the wall being illuminated by the glowing lights of the Christmas tree.
"See the new order of pictures, Noelle?" Liv pointed to the wall.
Turning towards the wall, Liv saw Noelle smile. "Ovivia picture."
Fitz bounced her. "That's right Princess, Olivia's picture. She's our family now right."
Noelle nodded in agreement. She pointed to her baby dolls, sitting in their strollers facing the tree. "Jilly and Kelly mommy."
Liv put her head down. That seemed like the perfect cue to leave. "I'll be back fast, ok Noelle, why don't you help daddy change Jilly and Kelly while I'm gone?"
Liv took a deep breath as she stepped towards the elevator. She watched the door to the Grant condo close and she faced the elevators. Even though she was going for about an hour, the emptiness still ached in her heart. It was a terrible feeling just leaving them, even for a short time.
As the elevator ascended to the penthouse, Liv thought of the day she had planned. She shook her head with the thought. She still couldn't believe this is what she was doing. Less than a month ago, she was just so alone, not even wanting to open the door that she was standing in front of right now.
She looked at the letters on the door. PH3. Rubbing her fingers over the letters, as her key turned the lock, she opened the door. She smiled, Fitz even put some lights outlining the PH3, he really loved his Christmas lights.
Her small Christmas tree greeted her warmly, and she longed for the day Noelle would jump into her arms as she returned home from work. She looked at her bare wall. She needed to start a picture train soon.
Tossing her keys on the table next to the door, she said out loud, to no one, "until that day, birthday surprise day." She walked towards her bathroom ready to take a nice hot shower.
Fitz had a brush going through Noelle's soft hair while she sat at her small vanity and played with her tiny unicorn figures. She was wearing her warm sweatshirt Fitz had bought for her the other day. It was purple with a shiny unicorn in the middle.
"Noelle." Fitz called her name.
She looked in the mirror at her daddy. "Hmm"
"What did you mean by your dolls before? What did you mean when you said mommy?"
"Ovivia mommy."
Fitz finished securing her one braid on her left side and continued to the right side, they would meet in the middle and come down as one. "I still don't understand, honey."
"Ovivia cover them. They not cold." Noelle continued looking at her figures. "Ovivia show me."
Fitz began to get it. Olivia treated the dolls as if she was a mommy and she showed Noelle how to do it. "Oh, so Olivia took care of Jilly and Kelly."
"Then me." Noelle felt a tug with the other braid. "Oww." She said.
"Sorry, just one more pull." Fitz finished it. Then he put his cheek down to hers. "What do you mean then me?"
"Bedtime. Ovivia love, like daddy." She hopped down from her small chair and went to her dolls in the corner to play. She knew her daddy needed to get ready.
Fitz just sat now, in front of the vanity and thought about that. He watched his little girl play, babbling to her dolls, but showing them comfort and love. He rubbed his hand through his hair. Noelle had seen enough interactions between mothers and their children. She saw it on her shows and she role played with her dolls.
Could she really think Olivia was her mom? Fitz didn't think she would understand, but he was noticing her make the connection of how Olivia treated her, took care of her, but most of all, loved her. Fitz smiled now, standing up. This was going to be a great weekend.
"Daddy will be right back, stay in the room ok."
"Ok Daddy." Noelle didn't look up, her dolls needed her to finish the game they were playing.
Not sure what to wear he was looking at his clothes. He dressed Noelle very casually, a sweatshirt and purple sparkle jeans. Although he didn't think he would look good in purple sparkle jeans, Fitz shrugged, laughing at his thought.
With a basic pair of black jeans, he decided to go with a gray casual jersey shirt, long sleeved that buttoned down the middle. It wasn't too thin, not too thick. To be honest, he didn't know if they would spend the majority indoors or outdoors. He couldn't know because, well, it was a surprise.
He sprayed the shirt with one squirt of Creed, knowing it drove Olivia a bit crazy. He smiled at himself in the mirror after leaving the top two buttons opened, exposing just some skin of his chest. Olivia didn't quite understand what it meant to him that she planned today.
Only he ever took time out to plan out surprises for Noelle. He was just in such a state of happiness, so in love with Olivia, and he couldn't wait to thank her tonight after Noelle was fast asleep.
He rubbed a little water through his hair, and his curls came to life. Satisfied with how he looked, he quickly brushed his teeth and went to get Noelle.
While Noelle and Fitz were getting ready, Liv stood in the hot shower, finding herself thinking of Fitz once again. She didn't know how she wasn't sleeping, the way he tired her out last night. She wasn't going to complain, he just made her body feel things and go places it's never been before.
As she rinsed her hair, she thought of the day she had planned. Olivia still shocked herself that she was able to secure what she wanted in such little time.
The look on Noelle's face was something she anticipated first, but later, after Fitz learns of the surprise for him, she's anticipating her reward. Having forgotten for a moment how tired he makes her body; she was actually longing for more as she thought about the ending of tonight.
She stood now looking in the full length body mirror in her room. Her designer sweater given to her by one of the magazine's clients was perfect for today. It was lavender, button down the front, but delicate cashmere, not too heavy.
It was also a perfect match with the Stuart Lowe jeans she had acquired from the designer. It was a perfect skinny fit on her legs, but loose enough on the waist. She should have no trouble taking them off quickly.
Olivia smiled to herself in the mirror. "Scratch that thought, Pope, Fitz will have no problem taking them off quickly." She finished with her make up. Before leaving her room, she grabbed the small stick balloon she had for Noelle.
It was a tiny basic balloon; one you get when you're checking out at a supermarket. It had a rainbow and down across the rainbow it said Happy Birthday Princess. It was just a small reminder of why she had the day planned, and Liv was beginning to get excited about it.
She clicked off the lights, the ones that glowed the balcony, but left the small tree lights on in the bedroom. She loved walking into the darkness of the room, but the glowing lights of the small tree. It reminded her of the first time with Fitz, and the love she continues to have for him.
Taking a deep breath, hoping everything would work out as planned, she turned off the bathroom light. "Here goes." She said to herself. "Birthday surprise, then Christmas surprise." Her heart began to thump just thinking about it, and how she never thought she would be in this place. Three days before Christmas, actually planning Christmas surprises, what change.
Last year, three days before Christmas she was in her small LA office with the television on eating a burrito. She had a mound of paperwork and her pad. She had been doodling Christmas ornaments between signing approvals for ads in the magazine. What a difference a year makes.
She was about to open the door when she heard a tiny tap. "Ovivia, we here."
The small squeaky voice was low, but loud enough for Liv to hear. As if on cue she smiled the biggest smile. She was not expecting them to knock on her door. Opening the door, she looked at them, her eyes glistening, but she wasn't aware of that.
It was as if a hole had been filled. It had only been about an hour, but she missed them. "Look Ovivia." Noelle was pointing to the unicorn on her sweatshirt. "Sparkly pants."
Liv looked at Noelle's purple pants. "You look so beautiful Noelle. This is for you." Liv held the balloon out for Noelle. "Happy almost birthday."
"Rainbow, daddy". She took the balloon and turned it around. The mirror on the back made her smile and she stuck her tongue out at herself, then she laughed more after seeing the reflection.
In that moment of Noelle admiring the balloon, Fitz reached over and gave Liv a quick kiss on the lips. "You look stunning Ms. Pope." He rubbed her shoulder taking in the feel of the cashmere.
"Looking quite tasty yourself." She whispered as her finger went to the exposed part of his chest. "I'm keeping you close by, Mister."
"I'm all yours, Livvie." He got Noelle's attention. "Ready, go push the elevator button."
Soon, they were off. She hadn't ordered the limo like Fitz did on the first day they met, but Gil was well aware of Liv's plans, so he knew exactly where to go. They stopped first at the small café, where Darlene was not only expecting them, she had a small birthday bag for Noelle.
Liv had called a few days ago to let Darlene know she was coming in with Fitz and Noelle for Noelle's birthday surprise day breakfast. Darlene was sure to have a small table with a birthday tablecloth and a little birthday princess tiara in Noelle's sitting place.
The number of the day, 567, was a bit high, but Noelle got to pick all three, hence why they were in numerical order. Fitz looked at Liv as if he would take care of the gift card, but Liv put his hands aside. "It's fine Fitz, today is about you and Noelle."
When they got to the table, Noelle covered her mouth in surprise. "Wow." She rubbed her hand over the tablecloth and picked up the tiara. "Princess, Daddy."
"You sure are, Noelle, what do you say to Darlene?"
Darlene was not expecting anything but a verbal thank you, but she had to get one of Noelle's hugs. She reached up to Darlene so she could pick her up and Noelle hugged Darlene's neck, interlocking her hands behind her neck. "Thank you." She kissed Darlene on the cheek.
Before Darlene left them to their breakfast order, Noelle pulled the gift out of the bag. It was a small Unicorn ball; one you play with outside. It was rimmed in the middle with rainbow stripes. Noelle looked at Fitz while holding the ball. "Daddy play?"
"Sure, when we go to the park." He looked up at Darlene. "Thank you so much, this means so much to us."
"Thank Olivia too, she put this all together. Enjoy your breakfast, enjoy your day, but most of all," she stopped and gave Noelle a pat on her head, "you enjoy the best birthday tomorrow little blue eyed beauty."
Noelle nodded as her French toast was cut and put in front of her. She poked her finger in the syrup and put her finger in her mouth. "Sticky." She laughed, and the beginning of her birthday surprise was already so special.
After a few customers came and went in happiness after getting their meal "paid for", Liv looked at her watch. "Oh boy, we can't be late." She took one more sip of her tea and hurried Fitz up. He pouted a bit looking at his half eaten donut.
"We'll get you another donut, don't worry." Liv rubbed some chocolate frosting off the corner of his mouth, and if she didn't feel Noelle's eyes staring at them she would have devoured those lips, but she kept her control.
While Liv held Noelle's new ball, Fitz sat Noelle on his shoulder carrying her high out of the café. She waved to Darlene and the other workers who shouted "Happy Birthday Tomorrow, Noelle."
Noelle took a deep breath, she really was feeling like a princess, she thought so anyway. "Ovivia." She said with a giggle. "I'm a princess?"
"You sure are." Liv said looking up at her and holding the car door open for Fitz to put her into the car seat. Before he stepped in, he pulled Liv in for a kiss. "Stop number one, successful, I would say?"
"Very successful." She gave his chest a pat. "Just the smile on her face alone is all worth it."
Fitz just stared at her for a moment. "This means the world to me Livvie, you have no idea." He kissed her temple gently, and held the car door open as he let her in, before following her.
Noelle was holding her new ball, two hands on either side. She had her unicorn earmuffs on, and with her unicorn sweatshirt and her new ball, Liv snapped a picture. "You look perfect for where we are going next."
"Big surprise now?" Noelle asked without turning from looking out the window.
"Take a look." Noelle looked out the other window and her eyes went wide. She dropped her ball out of her hands and just stared at the view in front of her, her mouth open slightly in pure surprise.
"What is this?' Fitz asked.
Liv looked at him curiously. "Haven't you ever heard of Build a Bear?"
He shrugged. "Maybe. I will have to check with Marcus to see if we have stock in it, because judging by the way it looks, you're going to spend a pretty penny here." He smirked.
"It's all worth it, look at your daughter."
Fitz looked at her, still mesmerized by the sight of the building. He looked over and could understand. "Come on sweet pea, let's go look close up, ok."
Noelle stepped out of the car and took hold of Liv's hand. She stood in front of the window, staring at the display decorated for Christmas. It was a big Christmas tree, with a Christmas bear sitting on top. Next to the tree was a white shelf on a faux white brick wall.
Above the wall was a string of decorative teddy bear lights in red and green. Sitting on top the shelf was a big green wreath, red and white Christmas balls around it with a bear resting in the middle in middle of the wreath.
Hanging from the shelf were two large red and white stockings, each stuffed with a bear, peeking their head out from the top.
Finally, Noelle pointed at what was just in front of the mock fireplace. "Bear box house." Liv looked and saw the build a bear box each bear was put in after making it.
"Yes, isn't it beautiful, Noelle?"
"I get bear?" she turned towards Liv.
Liv squinted a little, she tapped her mouth in thought. "I was thinking of something a bit more special, let's go inside."
Noelle took Fitz's hand now too, and she walked in between the two of them. The store was so well lit and children's Christmas music played loudly over the speaker. A young girl, about Tiffany's age came over.
"Welcome to Build a Bear, are you here for a special occasion?"
Liv read the girl's badge. "Danielle". That was the girl she spoke to.
"Hi Danielle, we spoke on the phone. I am Olivia Pope" she turned towards Fitz. "This is Fitzgerald Grant, and here." She lifted Noelle's hand a bit. "Is the birthday girl tomorrow, Noelle."
"Hi Noelle. Let me get your birthday crown and I will be right back."
Noelle nodded, still looking all around at all the lights, sounds, and display. She tugged at Fitz's leg and said "daddy, unicorn."
Off in the back was a mural of a unicorn. It was on a wall by a doorway that looked like it led to another room. The words painted was "Unicorn experience, come in."
Fitz turned towards Liv. "You didn't?" He just shook his head.
"Oh, I sure did Mister, and I rented it out to be just ours for an hour." She smiled at him.
He tilted his head over and put his lips right to her ears. "You have no idea how much I love you, Livvie." He kissed her cheek gently and scooped up Noelle.
"That's where we are going." Danielle handed the crown to Fitz who placed it on Noelle as they walked to the room.
It was decorated with rainbows all around and there were dozens of unicorns to choose from. Noelle learned she got to pick the unicorn she wanted, put a heart inside of it, choose a sound for it to make, and then she would watch Danielle stuff it and bring it to life.
After Danielle described the process, none of which Noelle understood, she looked at the display of all the unicorns she had to choose from. "I get one?" She asked Olivia.
"You sure do, you can have two if you want."
"Yay." Then she stopped. She looked at Fitz.
"What is it honey?"
"One for Ally? For Spence?" Noelle's pleading eyes looked at him.
Before he could answer, Liv said "of course."
Noelle picked two hearts to go into each of her unicorns, she gave the hearts a kiss before putting it inside. Then she picked the sounds. One sound was Jingle Bells, the other was Frosty the Snowman.
While Danielle was giving Noelle the full unicorn experience, Liv and Fitz stood back watching the interaction. He put his arm around her waist. "You made her a happy little girl, Livvie. This is just amazing."
Liv tugged at one of his buttons on his shirt. "It's the least I could do for all you've done for me." She reached in and gently kissed his cheek. "I love you too Mister." She whispered in his ear.
Danielle had walked over now with Noelle. "Noelle named the boy unicorn Frosty and the girl unicorn Jingly." She held up the certificates that Liv took and put into her purse.
Danielle pointed to a small birthday table, Noelle's unicorns already sitting at it with birthday hats on. "Mom, dad, we're ready for cake." Danielle announced.
Liv said quickly, "Oh, I'm not…."
But she couldn't finish. "Come Ovivia mommy." Noelle took her hand and led the way to the table. Noelle had a real piece of cake, while the unicorns had their own "cake".
Olivia looked at Fitz a bit nervous about what Noelle said. Fitz smiled and rubbed Olivia's shoulder as they walked. "Just go with it Liv." Fitz remembered back to Noelle's conversation with him this morning.
Once the celebration came to an end, they picked out two unicorns for Spence and Ally. Fitz picked a baseball unicorn shirt out for Spence's unicorn and a ballerina dress for Ally's unicorn having known what each child liked to do. For the certificates Noelle named the unicorns Base and Dancy, which Liv thought was the most adorable thing.
Thanking Danielle for her kindness and patience, the small "family" posed for a few pictures that Danielle took. On the way out, Noelle couldn't hold anyone's hand as she was proudly holding her two unicorn houses, walking slowly, carefully, and with her birthday crown balancing on her head.
Fitz and Liv each held one of the other boxes, and walked closely behind Noelle, their hands interlocked. They watched as Gil greeted Noelle outside the door, took the boxes from her, and she climbed into her car seat all by herself.
Too busy getting the boxes from Gil, she didn't notice her daddy take Liv's shoulders and pull her into a long slow kiss. Liv moaned and went deeper, not caring about the dozens of people walking by. She stopped and rested her forehead on the bridge of his nose.
"What was that for?" she whispered rubbing his curls.
"That was your first of many thank you's." His eyebrows went up as he guided her in to the car.
"Let's stop for an early dinner, by the time we're finished, we'll be on time for our second surprise." Liv told Gil, as he nodded. "Noelle, did you like your birthday surprise?"
Noelle shook her head. "No,' she said very casually.
"No?" Fitz said surprised.
"I loved it!" She smiled. "Thank you Ovivia."
After a very quiet dinner at a small Italian restaurant, they were talking for a few moments over some ice cream dessert. "So, Noelle, do you think I can surprise daddy like I surprised you today?"
Noelle was very busy finishing up the cup of rainbow sorbet with rainbow sprinkles and she nodded. "YES!" she said very excited. "We go?" She pushed the empty cup from her and was ready to hop down.
"We go." Liv said, grabbing Fitz's hand and helping him up out of the chair. Fitz leaned over to her ear. "I just want you to know, I can't wait to take that sweater off you." Liv felt chills run up her spine and she hesitated in taking Noelle's hand. She was a bit frozen with desire.
"Ovivia hand." Noelle was holding up her unicorn mitten covered hand.
"Your daughter is right here, Mister."
"Yep," Fitz agreed. "Let's get her nice and tired, she won't budge once she's asleep, then."
Liv turned before she became weak at the knees and led Noelle out the door. This time when Noelle was in the car, Liv turned to Fitz. She got his ear and said, "I can't wait to see the look on your face." She took a deep breath onto his neck and gave him a kiss.
Liv saw that he was now a bit frozen. She heard him moan a bit, as she smiled getting into the car.
"I hold Frosty and Jingly?" Noelle pleaded.
"Only in the car, we aren't taking them out of the car. You could drop them and lose them." Fitz said.
"Ok, daddy." She hugged them both close to her as she watched the city grow dark and they went on to their next destination.
Once Fitz saw the area Gil was driving in, he turned to Olivia. His hand gripped her knee and he gave a little squeeze. "Livvie, no."
She threw her head back. "What is it you said when you gave me that necklace? No? You can't say no to me."
Then he saw the sign and his face turned as soft as a child finding a puppy. "Botanical Gardens GLOW show? Oh my Gosh, Noelle, you're going to love this."
Noelle looked at all the lights coming into view. Knowing how much her daddy loved Christmas lights, she said, "you too."
"There's an added bonus, Fitz." Liv bit her bottom lip as he looked at her. "We have the combination ticket, so we get to stay and see the holiday train show."
"No way!" Fitz sounded like a ten year old boy on Christmas morning. "Noelle, I am going to give Livvie a kiss now, ok."
Noelle giggled a long giggle. "Ok, daddy", she said, still gripping her unicorns.
And Fitz did just that. He kissed her, gentle and long, slowly and soft. Liv's eyes were closed and it was just them for that brief moment. When the kiss stopped Fitz kept his lips there. "Thank you so much.", he whispered.
Liv's eyes squinted a bit. This was a far cry from the non deserving ungrateful shit she had with Russel. "You haven't even seen anything yet; we haven't even completed your surprise." Liv rubbed his cheek.
"I know." He said. Then he hopped over to the door and said, "let's go", leaving Liv in the car to take Noelle.
"I think your daddy is excited." As Liv was unbuckling and putting the unicorns down, Noelle wrapped her arms around her. Again, it was an emotional hug from the little girl.
"Thank you Ovivia." Noelle squeezed a bit more. "He's happy." She said it as if she knew her daddy had been missing something, and Olivia filled that gap.
Liv slid out of the car, gripping on to Noelle, and Gil took a stroller out from the trunk. "It's a lot of walking Noelle, and very crowded, I think you will do better in the stroller." Liv suggested.
Without hesitation, Noelle got in and they began their walk through the trail of a lighted wonderland. The music was loud and the lights were spectacular. All different colors, blinking and dancing with the rhythm of the music.
If they saw a display they really liked, they pulled the stroller to the side and Fitz held Noelle in his arms, watching the lights with her. The other arm was gripped around Liv's waist and when she glanced at the two of them, the glow of the lights brought out the joy she had put into their hearts.
In that moment, as We Wish you a Merry Christmas was jingling and the lights were blinking, Liv's heart took a beat of fullness. It was as if she had found her place in the world, and there was no where she would rather be than right there in that moment.
They walked around some more, Fitz dazed and amazed at each of the light displays going on, just a smile that never left for the duration of the trail. At the end of the trail was a gift shop, and of course they stopped there before heading to the train show.
Fitz bought a Christmas tree shaped of triangles. It was white with six triangles from bottom to top. Each triangle lit up and down the middle it said GLOW. The lights blinked silently or there was a switch to turn on music. The music played Jingle Bells and the lights blinked in sync.
Entering the room now where the train show would take place, even Liv was impressed with the displays. Full of NYC landmarks, trains were lit and they were everywhere. Much like she froze when she saw the village at the Inn, Fitz froze and looked all around him.
"Fitz, you alright?" She looked as he watched the train go across above them through the Brooklyn Bridge structure.
"My dad and I used to build model trains, and every Christmas, he would put one under the tree. That's why I asked Santa for one on my list." He smiled and continued to walk and look around.
The sounds of train whistles and holiday songs hummed along as they found a small bench with a table and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate and candy canes.
Noelle's feet were dangling off the bench as she pointed to the trains running non stop all around her. "Best surprise Daddy?"
He lifted her onto his lap. He gave a her a few kisses on her cheek and rested on her temple. "Best ever my beautiful baby girl."
"Ovivia surprise." She reminded him.
Liv just smiled as his hand went over hers. "Yes, it is, Olivia did great with her surprise today."
"Birthday tomorrow?" Noelle asked.
"It sure is my love."
"3" She held up her fingers. "Ovivia birthday?"
"I wouldn't miss your birthday for anything Noelle."
Noelle smiled. "We go?"
"You two go get the car." Liv said. "I have to get something." She left them sitting there as she went to purchase the very train Fitz had put on his list to Santa. She was going to have it delivered express Christmas Eve, since they would be leaving for their cruise on Christmas Day.
Just not to show up empty handed, she got in the car with a small model train, one that made sounds and had the train show logo on it. "For you Mister Grant." She smiled as they made their way home after a very successful surprise from Olivia.
Noelle trudged out of the car when they arrived at the building. They had quite a lot to carry inside, and Fabian signaled over a runner to help the couple with their things. When he looked down, Noelle was holding up the unicorn house.
"Noelle, not another gift, you are too kind."
"For Ally. Dancy inside." She turned and raised her arms for Fitz to carry her, she had no more energy.
"Mr. Grant, Ms. Pope, I don't know how to thank you."
Liv rested her head on Fitz's arm. "It's our pleasure, Fabian. I hope she likes it."
He bowed his head and pulled the door open. "Have a wonderful evening."
Again, Fitz's arm was around Liv's shoulders. "I plan to have a wonderful evening." Again, his voice went through her, and she wished there was an express elevator in the building.
Noelle was asleep before the elevator even reached the eighth floor. "She's going to wake up one happy little birthday girl." Liv rubbed her back as Fitz stepped off the elevator and saw the things outside his door.
"Go on", Liv said. I can manage bringing the things in."
She had just piled everything in a neat order by the tree and was heading to the door to lock it. After hearing it click, she turned, right into Fitz's chest. "Oh my." She jumped. "You scared me." She breathed a sigh of relief to calm herself. Looking up at him, she saw the lust in his eyes.
His hand, well the back of his hand went slowly down her cheek as she looked at him and took a hard swallow. "Never has anyone done for us what you did today. I cannot explain the feelings I have right now." He leaned down and kissed her, opening his mouth to get his tongue inside hers, and she went tighter into his grip as he lifted her towards the bedroom.
Noelle's gate was up and the monitor on, as Fitz sat Liv on the bed. He kneeled in front of her, and she just smiled at him. Cupping his face, she said "There isn't anything I wouldn't do for the two of you, Fitz, I love you and that little girl so much." She pulled him to her now, and connected the lips as she felt his hands rubbing her sweater.
"I've wanted to take this off you all night." He felt all around it. "It's so soft, but not as soft as your beautiful skin". He slid a little off the shoulder and kissed the skin he exposed, then he began to slowly unbutton down the middle.
He pushed the sweater back off her shoulders as she kissed his neck and the exposed area of his chest and did the same to him. She kissed just down to his abs, then back up, where their lips found each other again.
"The things I'm going to do to you Liv." He brought the bra strap down and followed his hand with a kiss, going down to her breast. He had it in his mouth as he unsnapped the back and brought it down. Having her topless now, he laid her gently back, kissing her gorgeous stomach, and licking all around, as she arched up into his wet lips.
Next, the pants that were just loose enough, came down, and Fitz took small breaths around the waistline of her panties as he heard her breathing begin to grow rapidly.
He stood up, just to get himself bare, and laid next to her, his head above her beautiful face. He just looked now at her naked body. "You're so beautiful, so thoughtful, I'm so in love with you." His lips found hers again, and she was rubbing his curls, not knowing what to expect next from him.
His thumb and forefinger pinched her nipple as he continued to kiss her, deep and passionate. When he stopped, he looked at her. "I'm taking it slow, Livvie. I want to watch you come undone, not once, but twice, I want to exhaust you into my arms."
A deep moan came from her, and she felt her body wiggle under him. "Stay still and do me one favor."
"What's that Fitz?" Her body was on fire, she could feel it.
"When I kiss you again, don't let go. I want to feel your climax as my tongue is dancing with yours, can you do that?"
Liv nodded as if she could, but she didn't know what her body could do in the weak state she was in.
His fingers left her nipple and gently went to her stomach in circular motions. His fingers reached her core, and went down between her legs.
Right at Liv's entrance, his fingers began to rub around, and Liv could actually hear how wet she was. Her arm went above her head resting on the pillow as her body just took deep breaths feeling his movements down there.
All the while, his eyes didn't move from hers, and he continued to stare at her so lovingly, longing for her, and it was burning her inside with desire. She had to close her eyes so she didn't orgasm so fast because the lust in his steamy grey eyes were taking her there.
"Ready for the kiss Liv, and her body stiffened as two of his fingers entered her, and his thumb circled her clit. "Oh God, yes." Her other hand gripped his shoulder blade as his lips devoured hers, and he moved synchronized with her kissing.
His fingers never stopped and Liv's burning never did either. Her legs both came up at the same time, and she was about to rip her lips from the kiss, but she remembered her promise. She began to breath heavily, still lip locked, and although it was hard it was one of the most sexiest things, kissing him while she climaxed from his fingers.
Her body arched and his hand cupped her face as he felt her juices flow and his fingers finally came to a stop. He lifted his lips from hers and her head tilted to the right as she breathed slow and steady. Her eyes were closed and her arm still above her head, bent at the elbow.
He reached over now, getting a condom from the box. "We're running low, Livvie. We once had plenty."
Her hand now was on her stomach, and she took a hard swallow, nodding her head. She was still dizzy, as she felt his body mount hers, separating her thighs with his knee.
"Nice and slow, Livvie. This is my thank you for the Christmas for surprise and all you've done for us."
The need of him in her was making her crazy. "Please Fitz, fast, slow, hard, deep, just, Oh God, I want to feel you." Only her waist went up this time begging him to get in.
"I'm going to hit your G-spot many times, you ready."
Her face went to the crook of his neck. She nodded and gripped him as his first thrust was hard and her body went back just a bit. She moaned loudly into his neck as his rhythm slowed down and she wrapped her legs around him.
His head now went down to her neck, where he nibbled a bit, slowly going in and out, feeling her body tense, and pulling out, not fully, just enough to bring her back, so she wouldn't climax, yet.
"I want to come with you Livvie." He watched her eyes open slowly and she rubbed his curls. She closed them again when he thrusted into her again, with slow strokes again.
Then, suddenly, he began going faster, beginning to harden the thrusts and he grunted with each time his bottom hit hers. And oh God, was he right, he hit that spot over again, and Liv gave almost a shriek as her body lost all control.
Fitz put his chest up, looking down at her, as her body tensed in a slow movement, and she stiffened for what seemed like a minute. He gave one final thrust, hard and deep and felt himself come into the condom.
Her head went off to the side as he got up, went quickly to the bathroom and came out with a warm cloth. He used it on her whole body to calm it down, and her eyes opened, still breathing heavily. "You are so amazing, Mr. Grant." She smiled, a tired smile as he rested her head on his chest, rubbing around her temple.
"Livvie, ever since Noelle was born, she has always woken up on her birthday with me in her room with a bunch of balloons. I know she doesn't remember, but don't be surprised if you wake up and I'm not in the bed."
"Always a loving tradition with you." She smiled weakly.
"Today, Liv, tonight, everything was so perfect. Noelle talked to me this morning about calling you mommy."
That woke Liv up and her head whipped towards him. "Fitz" she whispered.
"Well, she saw you acting like a mother with her dolls and since they are her dolls, she said you were mommy. Liv you show her love like no other person ever has."
Suddenly tears built in Liv's eyes. This whole month has been so magical, so full of surprises. "Let's just see where it goes." She still wasn't sure it was a good idea thinking it would confuse Noelle, but she longed for it.
"Well, hats off to you for the best surprise today. I love you Livvie. Can't wait until you experience Noelle's birthday surprise tomorrow."
Liv didn't hear a word, as she was already soundly sleeping. She was warm in the arms of the man she loves today and will the rest of her life. She dreamed of musical lights and a smiling little girl. In her dream the little girl held up three fingers, and Liv picked her up and twirled her around, happy to be in the life of this amazing child and her even more amazing father.
