"Do you think mom's gonna be okay?" Everett asked.

Aston fiddled his his fingers as the two sat in the uncomfortable chairs that had littered the dirty hospital halls. Just in the room behind them say they're mother who had been unconscious with a breathing tube sticking out of her mouth. "I don't know Everett."

"What if she doesn't get better?"

"I'll take care of you."

"Where will we live?"

"I'll find us somewhere safe and warm."

"How will we eat?"

"I'll go around doing jobs to make us some money to eat."

"What if mom dies?"

Aston didn't have a quick answer for that question. He silently looked at the ground before looking up back at his younger brother. He didn't know what to say to put the boys fears to ease it to assure him.

"I'm not sure Everett..."

He was quickly snapped out of his trance as the King's voice came into play. He had forgotten that he was kneeling in the King's throne room with a furious Princess and a silent knight on the other side of her kneeling with his face almost in the ground. He had been here for some time now, and he was now reminded of the throbbing pain that had been his left arm. The King had ordered that Everett, the Princess and the boy who had deflected the laser to the throne room immediately.

"Zelda this is why I didn't want the guardians in the castle, just look at the damage that rogue one caused." The King's voice echoed throughout the throne room as he sat in his chair with a seemingly tired face.

"So your defending these two imbeciles!?" She exclaimed, her voice filled with anger and despair. Everett could smell insecurity a mile away and this woman oozed it. Literally. "The courtyard is in ruins, and multiple people were hurt because of them!"

Rhoam had merely sighed. "The cause of this situation was you not listening when I requested you stop playing with those contraptions. You need to be focused on your training, not playing scientist."

The Princess scowled. "You don't know what I need." She firmly said. The King's eye brow furrowed at that statement, he most definitely took offense to it. "I am my own person, I can think and make decisions for myself."

"That's where you are wrong," He said matching her darker tone. Father and daughter both dug holes in each other with they're death stare at each other. It had felt like ages since anyone had spoken before the King did. "You will stop fooling around with such toys, I am saying that as your King not as your father and so you leave me no choice." Zelda's eyes had widened knowing exactly what he was about to say. "I am hereby banning you from any shiekah activities until you've completed your duty. You will visit each of the races to ensure we have the four champions to fight the Calamity. Do I make myself clear?"

Zelda was fuming. She had clinched her fist before giving her father one last death stare and marching out of the room angrily. It had been silent for a few moments after that before he heard the King sigh. "You two may rise," They did, Everett grabbed his limp arm before looking at Rhoam. "I appreciate the brave effort to stop that guardian. Had you two not been there, I may have had to intervene."

Everett wasn't sure if Rhoam was done but he wasn't when he opened his mouth again. "Chosen one, we have not been able to formally meet. Tell me your name."

"Link of Hateno." The boy's voice was so quiet that Everett had barely heard it.

"Sir Link, you will accompany my daughter on her travels to the four champions and you will make sure she stays on track with her training. That is an order." Link had nodded his head, the King's stare hadn't faltered in anyway before his gaze had switched to Everett who held his arm, which was still numb. "Sir Everett I'm glad you could join us. Forgive me for welcoming you to Hyrule Castle in such a way."

"No apologies are needed," Everett said. "I would've liked to get this treated before our formal meeting."

"Yes, I do apologize for that. I will have one of the guards escort to a nearby infirmary." Everett was just about to leave before The King spoke again. "There is a reason I requested you come to the castle, and I intend to speak with you before you get your arm patched up."

Everett waiting for the king to speak, watched as the King sat up from his throne before walking down the multiple steps that had been curved elegantly to look the room look nice. It wasn't long until Rhoam was standing before both Everett and Link.

"Your presence here was requested by me personally," Everett raised his eye brow ready for the King to continue. "I am asking you to aid in our battle against the calamity." Everett felt the world come to a halt. Olas and Boto had told him that this "calamity" and how it was a threat to Hyrule itself. It had been supposedly evil incarnation, of a evil king who was obsessed with power and wanted to rule Hyrule.

"With all due respect your majesty, I was invited to a dinner, not be a hero." Everett said with a frown. "I appreciate the offer, but I will pass."

The King didn't say anything after that but his gaze had hardened which had made Everett tighten his stare back at the king.

"You would be willing to deny your kingdom?"

Everett sneered. This is NOT his kingdom. "I have nothing to do with this war your majesty, you cannot force me to join your conflict." The King's gaze hardened even more and it had become silent in the room after that, the only thing tithing they could hear was the quiet chatter in the halls of the castle.

"I don't know who or what you are Sir Everett," The King began, each word he made clear and stern as the day could be. "I don't know where come from, or where your origins are. But know this. You are in Hyrule, so you will obey the Kingdom. My kingdom."

"I told you this isn't my war." Everett said clearly again.

The King sat back in his seat with a defeated body language. "So you it turns out your a coward." He said. Everett felt something tick inside of him as he frowned at the King even harder. This wasn't his war, this wasn't even his home. So what would he be getting out of this? Nothing, because at the end of the day he's still stuck here and won't ever be able to see his brother anymore.

"I'm the coward? Your asking a peasant for help against a power hungry demon." Everett said with annoyance in his voice. Olas had warned him about having a sharp tongue towards the royal family. So far it hadn't got his head cut off, but he'd oughta be careful about what he says. "Why are you asking me?"

"No man in Hyrule has strength like you, I've watched hylians fight gorons and it normally doesn't end well. But you? You fully manhandled that goron, and with your brute strength at that." Everett listened to him. It sounded just about everything Olas told him, but it was coming from a King of an entire land himself. Everett didn't know whenever to feel flattered or not feel anything. "I, the King of Hyrule is asking you to partake in this fight against the calamity. Hyrule is asking you to aid in our battle against Ganon."

Everett thought hard and long about this. He'd be risking his life for a world that wasn't his. That he wasn't born in. That he didn't belong here. He looked up towards the King who was awaiting an answer and Everett opened his mouth to speak.

"I will be expecting your answer at the annual ball tomorrow afternoon."

"Man you really are insane," Olas said waiting for Hyrule castle's gates to open. It had been the late afternoon, as he had spent his entire day in the castle. The sunset had painted an orange look on the structure. "I would've thought you were gonna say no." Everett continued to walk when Anju appeared behind the gate making they're way back into Castle Town.

"He wasn't giving me much of a choice." Everett said readjusting his bandaged arm. Luckily Olas knew the quickest way to the infirmary right when Everett felt his arm begin to fall off. The nurse had patched it up and bandaged him, before giving him some nasty potion that Olas dubbed as an elixir.

"Ya always have a choice, just gotta deal with the consequences after." Olas said with a chuckle but Everett didn't chuckle with him. All he did was think.

The King was backing him into a corner trying to get him to fight a battle he had no business being apart of. He could understand why the King wanted him to defend Hyrule because of his obvious power and strength, but Everett didn't want to fight in a war. He was happy living life at the stable. Maybe I shouldn't have participated in that contest.

"What are we doing?" Everett asked mildly annoyed.

Olas looked back at him. "Well, while you were in you're hour and a half meeting with the King, I made a visit to Dayru. Surprisingly she's all done with your outfit for the ball."

Everett's eyes widened. "That's still like a day away, and I thought she said she was gonna be finished tomorrow?"

Olas scoffed. "She works in mysterious ways."

It struck up an idea in Everett's head. Lemme guess, she's your ex? He remembered asked him. "So she's your ex huh?"

He heard a sigh come from the older man. "Yeah, we dated for five years."

Everett's curiosity meter had been through the roof. He had told Olas nearly everything about himself wanting to know more of the man. "So...you fucked up huh?"

Olas chuckled. "Yeah I guess you could say that. She thought my drinking was a problem but I didn't. I didn't see her reasoning until I was let go by the guard. We fought after that and she had told me to stay out of her life. So I did." Everett listened for the man to continue which didn't go unnoticed by Olas who nodded his head to continue. "I left the castle to go back to the stable me and Boto grew up in. My father was dead at the time, and man I was glad he was. Don't get me wrong, that cocky son of a bitch is the reason I am who I am today. But he would've gutted me like a fish."

Everett's eyebrow raised. "So you said they tried sending you somewhere else?"

"Yeah, the cold region of Hebra. They wanted me to be stationed there and my father had told me to take such a lowly job after being accepted into the guard would be dishonorable to the family."

Everett understood why his father would think that way. Reminds him of Aston thought when it came to sports back in his old life. Varsity or nothing Aston would say to him and Everett would nod in agreement. The two rounded a street before Everett saw the familiar sign on Dayru's shop. The two entered before Olas looked around the shop again, it had been as dead and quiet as the first time Everett and Olas walked in here.

"Dayru?" Olas called out.

"Yep! One sec!" The familiar feminine voice rang out from the back. "Your outfit is sitting on the counter wrapped in the gold!" Olas had made his way to the wrapped square figure which had obvious been wrapped folded clothes, and the nice boots that went along with it were right next to them.

"Surprised she was able to get down with these before tomorrow. She does work miracles."

"Surprised your surprised," Dayru had said cockily. She had a smirk on her face as she was carrying out a sheathed longblade. "I'm glad I could get it done before the night was over, been working on it more than any client."

Olas raised his left eyebrow. "What's with the claymore?"

Dayru let her hand slide on the sheathed blade before pulling it out. It had been beautiful, not a single scratch on the blade, the handle was colored red. Beautiful he thought. "This was my brothers sword before he fell in battle at the citadel. He once told me that if anything were to happen to him, that I'd give this sword to someone who is strong, courageous and brave. Everett, I think you should have this."

Everett fumbled the next words. "I shouldn't take this, I didn't do anything to deserve it."

Dayru simply smiled. "Yet." She handed him the sword which he took gracefully. She also handed him the sheath for it, and Everett had made sure to put it in there with a slick. "Also, it's for fashion and I think it goes along with your outfit."

Everett smiled. "Thank you Dayru, you have been helpful immensely."

"Do not thank me Everett, just helping a friend out." She had forcefully let the word "friend" out of her mouth while glancing at the older man behind them who had rubbed the back of his neck embarrassed.

"I appreciate it. The sword might come in handy considering they asked me to join they're battle with this calamity."

Dayru's eyes had widened a bit at the information before they had closed a bit. "That's odd, what do they think you can do?"

Everett shrugged his shoulders. "Not sure. I just hope it isn't something risking my life over."

Olas scoffed before walking forward to be even with Dayru and Everett. "Your already risking your life thinking about agreeing to help. I don't know what's on Rhoam's mind to ask you to assist but I just hope he has a plan for whatever he's scheming. Rhoam has a habit of pulling tricks out of his ass."

Everett chuckled. He took the sheathed sword before wrapping the leather black scabbard around his torso letting it rest on him. It was comfortable so that he didn't feel he would have to adjust it every five minutes. I'm getting used to this.

"Well Dayru, you've been nothing but helpful," Olas said with a respectful bow. "But I think me and Everett need to get ready for tomorrow."

Dayru eyed him up and down before looking back at Everett who had tensed up under her gaze. "Well, I hope you enjoy yourself tomorrow Everett. Olas, I'm assuming I'll see you around?"

But Olas was already out of the door. "Don't bet on it."

Everett had nodded back at Dayru before chasing off to find Olas. He had been a couple feet down the cobblestone road letting Everett jog up and catch him. They had walked across Castle Town making they're way into a little alleyway. Olas stopped before grabbing something about of his pocket which turned out to be a cigarette. He pulled out a match and struck it, igniting it. He inhaled before blowing some smoke out. Everett had leaned up against the wall, holding his bag of clothes that Dayru had gifted him. The sword sheathed to his back lightly tapped against the stone wall. Olas offered the cigarette to Everett.

"Hell nah, I don't smoke those."

Confusion washed over Olas's face. "You'll smoke weed but not a cigarette?"

Everett nodded his head. "Weed won't kill me as fast as nicotine will."

It was quiet for a moment or two. Night had finally settled upon Hyrule covering it in illuminating moonlight. Castle Town had settled down and only a few noises could be heard by Everett. Olas was silently puffing on his cigarette deep in his thoughts and was staring at the ground below them. "Be honest with me," Everett looked up at Olas, he raised his eyebrow waiting for Olas to continue.

"Why are you planning on helping this asshole win this war? He doesn't care about you, he cares about what you can do." Olas said with obvious disappointment washing over his face.

Everett looked at him with a challenge look of his own. Olas obviously had been upset with him for planning to accept the King's proposal.

"Well?"

"Remember what I told you about my old life?" Everett asked.

"Mhm." Olas answered.

Everett sighed. "I wasn't this...well built back then. I didn't look like this, I wasn't strong like I am. I wasn't as fast or a good of a fighter as I am now. I was weak, and I couldn't defend myself like I could. I scared because everyone was physically bigger and stronger than me." Olas listened to every word he said with intent, his eyes never leaving him and the cigarette only going into his mouth twice during his rant. "I can't be scared now, and I definitely can't be weak anymore because I'm not. This is my new life, a second chance, and I'm gonna use it to my fullest potential whenever I like it or not."

Olas was quiet for a moment before taking one last pull of the cigarette and throwing it to the ground with a step that would extinguish it. He looked at Everett then with a sigh he nodded his head in approval.

"I guess I can understand where your coming from kid. I just hope you don't get yourself killed that's all, I've come around to care about you."

"I appreciate it Olas." Everett held his hand out. Olas took it with a firm shake of his own and the two had opened the door to the inn to get some rest. Olas had walked to the front desk, before Everett heard some murmurs between the two. Olas had dropped a couple rupees in the desk workers hand, before the desk worker had muttered something to him, Olas turned around walking back to him. "Get the beds?"

"Yeah, you got the one on the far right." Olas said before walking towards the opposite direction. Everett had quickly scooted to the bed that had been awaiting him, he took his shirt off revealing his muscles torso, he had grazed his hand over his hardened abs before kicking his shoes off and putting the sword next to him leaning against the wall.

Lying on the bed, he didn't really think as he fell asleep.

"I look alright?" Everett asked. He had the outfit on, and had been ready to make his departure to the castle for the ball. Olas had his hand in his chin, smoothing out any wrinkles Everett had, or telling him what to fix. He had did a quick 360 around Everett to check for anything that would need to be fixed.

"You're good," Olas said and Everett nodded. Sheathing the claymore Dayru gifted him, he and Olas both departed from the inn and began to make they're way to Hyrule Castle. The suns had setting, and Everett made sure he slept in for a decent amount of the afternoon before the ball. "So, nervous?"

Everett scoffed. "For a simple fancy party? I think I'll be okay."

"It's not just a simple party..." Everest sighed as he didn't want to hear Olas rant but there was nothing he could to stop it. "The most important people in all of Hyrule are gonna be attending. Other races leaders, most skilled warriors or known people."

"Olas get to the point man." Everett sighed putting his hand to block the sunset.

"Look all I'm saying is that you need to watch how you speak, I know you can go from 0-100 faster than lizalfos. Some dukes, or royal members won't take that sharp tongue that you have and let it slide." Olas explained. Score his eyes darkened. "Watch who you talk to in there, you don't know who you're talking to in there."

Everett sighed again before nodding his head. They had rounded the corner that would lead them to Hyrule Castle. The two had been quiet since Olas had warned him about him talking back to any royal dukes or the King himself. He couldn't promise, he could respect them but one thing he was not doing was kissing ass. No matter the consequence.

"Ya think they got some wine?" Everett asked. Olas had side eyed him with a bit of a frown on his face. "I'm thirsty man, I could go for a drink right now."

"If they don't, leave." Olas said making Everett chuckle.

The gate was finally upon them when the pair had stopped right in front of it, it had only been about 30 feet away and the orangish sun had colored it orange in a way. The beauty that the sun in Hyrule was nothing that his old world could compete with and it was probably because of the lack of buildings that New York used to be. He appreciated it in a way, and slightly smiled to himself.

"This is it." Olas said. "I can't be in there with you, but I'll be waiting at the inn. I have to go take care of some stuff."

Everett raised his eyebrow. "What kinda stuff?" Olas was quiet for a minute unable to look Everett in his face. "Dayru," Olas's eyes snapped up to the taller man. "You're going to see her, aren't you?"

Olas looked away a little embarrassed. "Maybe. Don't start."

Everett threw his hands up before walking backwards with a smirk of his own as he made his way towards the gates that heard start to open. "Hey man, do you. I won't stop you." He saw Olas smile before he turned around now walking in the direction of the castle. The walk up the walkway felt like forever before he hit the entrance of the castle, two guards standing in front of it had bowed and moved apart from each other letting him walk into the entrance of Hyrule Castle.

The smell of flowers had hit his nostrils as he began to walk up a large staircase, the room had been filled with people that had spotted fancy dresses and medieval clothing like himself. Attention had been pulled on him as he entered the hallway that he had guessed led to the ballroom. Multiple people filled the room, dukes, knights of higher importance and multiple royal guard members had been stationed around the gigantic ball room.

It had already been filled making him think that he had shown up a bit late as music had been playing, people had began to dance, chat and drink as people's voices overlapped each other. Everett had made his way to what appeared to be a wine table. Multiple dukes had nodded at him as he did the same, it was weird to be acknowledged by someone of importance and status. Finally arriving, he saw multiple bottles of wine laid out, each with a different name and different color liquid. He smiled to himself, he had grown accustomed to wine in his few weeks with Olas, he picked a bottle that had been named "Hyrule's Finest. Apple cider."

He was about to uncork it before he heard heavy footsteps behind him and a deep voice had rang out. "Well color me purple! You must be Sir Everett!"

Confusion had taken him over when he turned to see the person who had just greeted him. He was another goron, around the same size as Gonbick but he had looked different. He had white hair that had wrapped around his head, and a beard that Everett didn't think could be whiter, with a fancy tribe scarf wrapped around his bod. He had a more energetic personality then Gonbick, the man practically jumped at the sight of Everett.

"I'm sorry, have we met before?" Everett asked with confusion.

"Course' not! That's why I'm greeting you!" He held his hand out for Everett to shake which Everett did with a firm shake of his own. "I'm Daruk! Champion of the gorons, I heard of your triumph victory over our former strongest champion Gonbick, and I just had to introduce myself."

"I appreciate it Lord Daruk, it's nice to meet you." He said with a smile. He felt some of the people in the ballroom shift they're eyes onto the two men talking at the wine table.

"I heard the whole thing about you beating Gonbick, I hadn't thought it was possible. He's a tad bit stronger than me! The guys told me the fight was epic! I wish I had been there too see it myself."

Everett smiled to himself. "I appreciate the recognition Lord Daruk."

Daruk had smiled to himself before bringing his hand up to his beard. "Maybe we should have a arm wrestling match someday, look at the size of those arms. It's no secret your not the average hylian, I've never seen anyone with arms like you."

Everett nodded once again as he nothing too say, he smiled again to Daruk who nodded his head. It looked like the Goron had more to say when he opened his mouth to continue. "It's also no secret the King has asked for your aid in the Calamity because of how well you handled that rogue machine."

Everett shrugged. "I guess that's gone around now, huh?"

Daruk nodded. "News gets around the kingdom pretty fast big guy," He looked towards the King and Princess who were now entering the ballroom with they're grace. The King was dressed in an all white fancy King outfit with a cloak that had dragged behind him when he made his way to the gigantic stairway that led to a throne and another seat, presumably for the Princess.

Right behind him was Princess Zelda dressed in a gorgeous blue dress that had dragged a little behind her, making it enough for her not to trip and smash her face into the marble floor. The two made they're way up to the two seats and stood before all the people in the ballroom.

"Apparently the Princess ain't too happy with the King asking you for help," Daruk whispered. "If the rumors around the castle are true, she hates you just as much as Link. It's a shame. You and the little guy seem to be friendly enough to get along, I met you not five minutes ago and I already like ya!"

Everett felt a little hurt, pouring the wine into the glass. Who was this woman to judge him? He didn't know her and she didn't know him, maybe it's best to stay clear of her. "I'm not here for her to like me, I'm here because I'm choosing to be."

Daruk's eyebrow raised. "So you had a choice?"

"He called me a coward."

"And that's enough to make you join the fight against most likely a world ending monster?"

Everett looked up towards Daruk with a darkened gaze. "Do I look like a coward to you, Lord Daruk?"

Daruk eyed him with a gaze of his own. "Not at all."

Everett grunted taking a sip of the wine. "Then you have your answer."

The two men were snapped out of they're conversation when the attendants in the ballroom suddenly went silent when King Rhoam rised. It had been quiet for a few moments until he raised his glass.

"I would like to thank each and everyone for showing up to Hyrule's annual ball. In times like this we are worried for the well-being of the future of Hyrule and many generations to come" He stated, his voice echoing off the walls of the golden ballroom. "We must enjoy ourselves even if tomorrow isn't guaranteed and we must have faith in the goddess," He raised his glass higher. "Let us enjoy tonight."

Music had started up again as the nearby mini choir in the corner had started to play again. He looked over to his left where Daruk had been standing and found he had somehow made his way halfway across the ballroom. Everett hadn't moved, continuing to sip on the apple cider he poured for himself. Why did this princess have such hate and anger for him when she doesn't even know him? What did she have against him to look at him like that when he had took down that guardian? And most importantly, what did she have against Link? Rhoam had mentioned something about a special sword on his back, maybe it had something to do with that.

"Enjoying yourself?" He heard a feminine voice call from the right of him. It had been the sheikah advisor that Olas told him about, Impa. She had an elegant tribe like dress on, with her hair neatly bundled up even though he could've swore she had more hair than just about everyone he knew combined.

"You could say that." He countered.

"Wine good?"

"A little bitter, but it's hitting the spot." He answered.

"Why did you lie?" Impa had tightened her gaze at him. Everett looked to face the woman with a look of his own.

"And what exactly did I lie about?"

"You told me you were nobody."

"I am nobody."

She sighed in annoyance. "A nobody wouldn't be meeting with the King, being invited to Hyrule's annual ball, ripping a guardian apart and being asked to assist the kingdom with the Calamity." Impa had stopped herself and caught her breath. "You are not "nobody" and it's very clear you were lying to me that day."

"Look miss, I didn't lie to you. Just because I happen to be really strong doesn't mean I'm someone of status." He said matching her fiery look. Impa didn't let her stare off of him until Everett had taken a sip of the wine left in his glass.

"The King had requested I come fetch you," Impa informed. "He stated he is expecting your answer." She signaled him to follow her and he did. Putting the glass cup down, he walked behind the sheikah woman, and made his way up the golden stairs in the ballroom eventually meeting eye to eye with the King. The Princess had gone down to the ballroom floor to interact with guests but he could feel her stare as he made his way up to the King. Everett now met the king for a third time and the two were eyeing each other.

"Sir Everett, I'm glad you could make it." The King sounded genuinely pleased.

Everett nodded his head. "Thank you for inviting me, your majesty."

"I assume you have an answer?"

Everett sighed. "I'll fight."

"So you're not a coward," The King said making Everett's eyes snap back up to him. "I was hoping you'd prove me wrong Sir Everett, but your not proven yet. I'll have a sparring match set up against a knight of my choosing tomorrow. You will also meet with the other warriors of each race. I expect to see you here around noon."

"Yes, your majesty." Everett bowed before the King dismissed him. He bowed to Impa before swiftly turning around and walking down the stairs. He needed some fresh air, he didn't realize how hot it had gotten in here. Grabbing a glass of wine, he retracted to the hallway where it had been much cooler. He inhaled the cool air of Hyrule while sipping his wine.

Aston he thought, he wanted to know how he was holding up. If he even existed anymore. Everett frowned at that thought sipping more of the delicious apple cider wine he had acquired before walking out of the ballroom.

"So this is where you are." He turned around to see Princess Zelda with an unimpressed look on her face, her arms were crossed and she had her eyes squinted. "Enjoying the wine?"

Everett stared dumbfounded at her. "May I help you...?" She looked surprised at the way he had said it but her hardened look didn't fade.

"No you cannot, but I'm here to inform you that we must work together even if we're aren't fond of each other-"

Everett sighed. "Princess, I don't even know you. How could you not be fond-"

The Princess had a annoyed look on her face. "Interrupting me can get you beheaded sir." He almost bit her tongue to keep a smart remark from coming out, his grip on the wine glass tightened almost to the point where he could hear the glass began to crumble. "As I was saying before you rudely interrupted me, I am here to tell you that even though we do not like each other, I am willing to work together."

Everett didn't say anything taking a sip of his drink before he heard the Princess continue. "Although I still haven't forgive you for destroying that guardian, I hope you don't jeopardize situations with your inhumane strength."

Everett was taken aback. The nerve of this fucking woman. He had potentially save from being blown to bits by that death machine and here she was chastising him.

"I think the word your looking for is, thank you." Everett said his hold on the glass even more tighter.

"You destroyed months of research you absolute brute!" She quietly seethed. "You destroyed something valuable, more valuable then you'll ever know-"

Everett's hand has closed and the glass of wine he held had shattered under grip, leaving multiple shards in his hand. The sing had been painful, but he wasn't showing it to the Princess. He hadn't realized it until the pain had set in and he saw droplets of blood drip from his hand. He looked up at the Princess who had a hesitant face and annoyed look at the same time.

"Excuse me Princess." Was all he said before he walked away from her. He rounded a corner struggling to keep his rage from coming out and punching a hole in a wall. He had second guessed himself now, maybe he should've let the guardian blow her to pieces and listened to Olas not to get involved. It would be for sure better then whatever the King had planned for him. Hopefully it was to stay as far away from the Princess as possible.

He had grabbed a napkin from a table and a glass of water before heading back outside. He poured it on his hand feeling a bit of a sting before wrapping the napkin around his bloodied hand. He felt his blood boil, and the night had cooled him down from the heat in the castle. He was done here, he wasn't planning around staying at this ball any longer. The Princess had destroyed his mood and he was ready to call it night before he started going around punching people.

Plucking a piece of glass out of his hand, he wrapped the napkin in it once more before turning to walk out the entrance. The cool air night had brushed upon his face as he walked away from the castle, the gates opening for him before he could utter out a word.

He made a turn into Castle Town before weaving through alleyways and building before finding the inn. He had opened it up, and hadn't realize he startled the innkeeper who had been at the desk reading a book. He nodded before letting his face fall back to the book, Everett had looked over to Olas's bed realizing it was empty.

"He never returned?" Everett quietly asked the innkeeper, his voice quiet to not wake the other sleeping people. The innkeeper shrugged.

Everett sighed, maybe Olas really was serious about visiting Dayru. He had taken a couple napkins from the desk and wrapped them around his hand which had slowed down on bleeding, he probably needed it checked out.

He made his way over to his bed, before quickly changing out of his fancy clothes and putting his old ones back one. He laid out on the bed, putting the claymore next to him before he was able to stare up at the ceiling and think.

It could always be worse he thought.
