Author's Notes: This is the first part of the fourth episode of Dinosaur King, "Bungle in the Jungle". This part is mostly focused on the Giganotosaurus that appears in the chapter. The next one will focus on the Saltasaurus from the original episode. By the way, I am in need of some dinosaurs that the three remaining team members of D-Fighters will be receiving in the following chapters after Part 2 of this. Please suggest some that I could put into the story, thank you.

Chapter 4: Giant or Giganotosaurus

(Jake's POV)

I was just about to get ready for school, when my mother came inside my room. She smiled at me with that motherly smile of hers. "Jake, are you ready?"

"I was ready as I ever was, Mom," I replied, packing the last school items in the bag, then hung it over my shoulders as I walked out of the door, giving my mom a kiss on her cheek, then made my way to the front door.

Then I was waiting on the bus outside near a bus sign. While I was standing, waiting for the bus to arrive, my phone rang. "Hello?"

"Jake, are you getting ready for our school time?" It was Daniel's voice over the phone.

"Yes, I am," I replied.

"Great!" came his enthusiasm from the sound of his voice. "I'll be waiting for you at the school front yard. See ya!"

I chuckled, as I put the phone away, as the bus arrived and I got inside the vehicle.

[Kalundborg, Schoolyard]

I finally arrived at the school front yard, where Daniel was waiting for me and waved once he saw me. I waved back as I got out of the bus. "Hey, buddy."

"It's been a while, Jake," he said. "How's things?"

"Good. How is Tyrunt?"

"Never better!" Daniel gave me a thumbs up. "He's feeling exciting every day that goes by."

"That's good to hear," I smiled. "So, what have you been on while I wasn't with you or Christian?" I was curious about how much adventuring they've been having since they had received their dinosaurs a few weeks ago.

"So far, we've been having fun," Daniel explained in a low voice, while we were together inside the school hall. "Christian's gotten his own dog he called Utah."

"Oh, that's nice," I frowned, wishing I had a dinosaur of my own.

We soon walked inside our classroom, where our teacher was waiting on us. We took our respective seats at our tables, then our teacher, Emily Frederikson, cleared her throat. "Now that everyone's here, let us begin the class."

An hour later, Daniel and I were getting ready for the next class, when I bumped into someone while I was not looking.

"Hey, watch yourself, twerp!" came a sharp voice. "Well, if it isn't Jake and his little friend Daniel."

I widened my eyes, staring up at Butch. "I'm sorry, Butch. I did not see you there."

"Whatever, just meet me outside at the schoolyard once class is over," Butch grunted, then stormed off.

Daniel helped me up. "Better watch yourself, buddy. Butch is not one who you should mess around with."

"I will remember that," I nodded.

Suddenly in our bags, our Dino Gauntlets beeped and we looked down at the devices for a moment, then looked at each other.

"Uh-oh," I gulped. "If the teachers find out where we went, they'll most likely give us home lectures."

"Then let's finish the class, then we can go," Daniel agreed, zipping his bag.

I also closed my bag by the zip.

(Christian's POV)

I ran to the Fighter lab, where Sarah and Dr. Jan was waiting for me. "Christian, good. You're here," was Sarah's pleased voice.

"Where are Daniel and Jake?" Jan asked.

"They should be here any minute now," I replied. "What's the dinosaur that has appeared and where is it?"

"It seems like it is within the Amazon rainforest," she explained.

"Take a look at this," Jan started, turning on the television.

The Amazon rainforest was a great, large forest filled with many trees and rivers. I remembered what it was like there. There were many animals inside the forest which could be poisonous and dangerous, if you were not careful.

The door to the lab opened and in came Daniel and Jake.

(Daniel's POV)

"We're here," I panted, while Tyrunt was by my side. "We needed to get our classes done before we were free to go."

"And you were slow to do that," Tyrunt grunted. "I was impatiently waiting on you to get home, partner."

I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck. "Where's the dinosaur, then?"

"Amazon rainforest," was Christian's answer.

"The rainforest?" I blinked. "That place is huge! We wouldn't last a minute without getting lost!"

"Then we should stick together," Utah suggested.

Jake was curious about the Utahraptor.

"Let's go!" I declared, as we all ran to the teleportation panel and pressed the button to start the teleportation to the Amazon rainforest.

[Amazon rainforest]

We were soon reappearing in the great forest. I knew Jake was slightly dazed by the teleportation. "You will get used to it," I told him.

"Do you two always go around like this…?" Jake almost vomited.

"Just try not to throw up," Tyrunt stated. "It would be gross."

I looked up and heard a loud roar. We turned to the direction and spotted the dinosaur. "Wow, it is a…" Jake started.

"Giganotosaurus," I finished. The dinosaur was about nine feet tall, its head was seventeen inches long. It had gray-brownish skin, with short arms that had three fingers and a long tail which had dorsal across its back to the end of the tail.

"It's giant," Christian breathed, awed at the Giganotosaurus's size.

"Let's go and get it," I decided.

"Hold it!" A familiar voice called. "We're here for both dinosaurs, you brats!"

We looked to the left and I noticed the Alpha Gang's Ursula, Ed and Zander. "Not you three again," I grumbled in annoyance.

"If you think you can take the Gigantosaurus, think again," Christian added.

"Really? You think we'd listen to irritable brats such as yourselves?" Ursula asked. "Never mind. Let's get their dinosaurs as well while we're at it, you two." She looked at Ed and Zander.

"Right away!" Zander nodded.

Loud footsteps could be heard coming closer. We turned and saw the Giganotosaurus walking straight for the Alpha Gang.

"Oh, this could be our lucky day!" laughed Ursula.

The Giganotosaurus opened its mouth and fired a flame breath at the trio, sending them flying quickly.

"Oh, come on!" they cried out as they were out of sight.

"Guys?" Tyrunt asked, noticing the Giganotosaurus coming closer. "Maybe we should flee…"

"Yeah, good idea!" I nodded in agreement, as we ran away in a hurry from the angered Giganotosaurus, which fired its flame breath at us.

"Duck!" Jake cried.

"No, jump to the side!" Utah responded.

We jumped to our respective sides before the flames could burn us to a crisp. As we did, Tyrunt and I were separated as we slid down a path of dirt on the left side of the road. I landed on my head, rubbing my eyes as I wiped the mud away.

"You okay, bro?" Tyrunt asked, concerned.

"Yeah," I nodded, standing up. I noticed we were away from the main road, and we were no longer with Jake, Christian and Utah. I groaned. "This is just great…"

"What is?"

"We are separated, of course, from the others."

"Oh," Tyrunt realized as he blinked. "Um…I think we've got bigger problems on our hands, though."

I looked up and finally noticed the Giganotosaurus staring down at us with its angered expression. "Run!" I yelled, and we ran away from the incoming Giganotosaurus, which roared at us.

"This wasn't how it was supposed to go, bro!" Tyrunt shouted as we continued running through the jungle. "We could just fight it off, turn it into its card, and then get home!"

A fight! I realized. "Good idea, partner. You ready?"

"Always!" he smiled at me.

I turned him into his card after pressing a button on my Dino Gauntlet. "Dino Slash!" I called, as I turned around and stood still. "Tyrannosaurus, roar!"

Tyrunt reappeared in his full size, as the Giganotosaurus stopped in its tracks and growled at him. As soon as Tyrunt came in his original size, the Battlefield appeared around us, changing the color of the sky above.

[Meanwhile]

(Max's POV)

I was walking through the jungle, looking for Chomp, when I heard a roar and saw the Battlefield had changed the sky. "A battle!" I realized. "Oh, how I would be great to find Chomp right about now…he must be starving, the poor guy. Chomp!" I called out. "Come out, now!"

(Rex's POV)

I heard the roar of a Tyrannosaurus Rex and looked at Zoe. "Do you think who I think it is?"

"Not the Alpha Gang…" she groaned.

"Looks like they came to the dinosaur before us," I sighed.

"Ahoy, you two!" someone called.

We looked to the left and saw Christian and his Utahraptor together with someone else. "Christian? What are you doing here?" I asked him, as we approached.

"We were looking for Daniel and Tyrunt, and then we saw you guys," Christian replied. "Have you seen our friend?"

"No," Zoe shook her head. "We are also looking for someone."

"Max, I am guessing?" Christian smiled.

"Yes," I nodded. "Anyway, who is fighting at the moment?"

"That must be Daniel!" the boy beside Christian realized.

"Daniel?" I blinked. "That was Tyrunt's roar, we heard, then?"

"Yes," Utah nodded. "Let's go and find them!"

"Good idea!" We agreed.

[At the Battlefield]

(Daniel's POV)

I was cornered as I was already at the edge of a waterfall, Tyrunt was getting pushed back by the Giganotosaurus who was far bigger and stronger than he was. "Incredible," I breathed in awe at the Giganotosaurus's strength. "To think she can push us to a corner."

"Partner, never mind about that!" Tyrunt grunted. "Use my Move Card!"

I nodded. "Okay!" I took the Move Card out of its slot.

"Not so fast," Ursula's voice came and I looked at her and her two partners, Ed and Zander. "We'll be taking over here, little brat."

"Forget it," I growled. "There's no way I'm letting you three take the Giganotosaurus. We came to her first!"

"So what? We're villains!" Ursula proclaimed.

"I would call you three losers," I mumbled.

That was enough to tick Ursula off. "You brat!" She looked at her two teammates. "Ed! Zander! Let's take him out!"

"Right away!" They nodded.

"Alpha Slash!" All three called out, as their dinosaurs appeared in front of me.

I almost dropped my Move Card for Tyrunt. "Uh-oh…"

Tyrunt noticed the situation behind him. "No! Brother!" He abandoned his fight with the Giganotosaurus, surprising her, as he went straight between Terry, Tank and Spiny, to defend me. "You leave him alone!"

"Perfect!" Ursula laughed. "Let's take the brat's dinosaur to Dr. Z and call it a good day with three dinosaurs in one day!"

"I don't know about that, Ursula…" muttered Ed.

"I think we're overdoing it," Zander agreed. "Wouldn't take one life be cruel?"

"So? We're villains," she repeated her last statement.

"Even villains wouldn't go that far…" Ed reminded her.

Meanwhile, I was cornered as I had nothing else to do. If I were to use Tyrunt's Move Card, there was a good chance the ground would crumble and I would fall to the bottom of the waterfall. I had to think thoroughly of this. I then got an idea. "Tyrunt, Head Charge!" I ordered, as I swiped his secondary Move Card in the Dino Gauntlet.

"Good thinking, pal!" Tyrunt roared, as he charged straight for Terry and sent him back for a moment.

The enemy Tyrannosaurus shook his head and roared at Tyrunt.

"Let's use this," Ursula showed her their card. "Dino Swing!"

Tank roared as she moved in for Tyrunt's tail and grabbed it in her mouth, before swinging him around a few times before throwing him towards me. I widened my eyes in horror.

However, something of a spectacular happened, as the Giganotosaurus came in and grabbed me by my collar before Tyrunt landed on the ground again. Tyrunt groaned in pain, looking at me as I was put down by the Giganotosaurus on the ground.

"What?" the Alpha Gang was shocked.

The Giganotosaurus looked at me, and I sensed a form of gentleness from her. "Thank you," I said gratefully. She looked at the Saichania and roared at her, before charging at Tank.

Tyrunt stood and walked up to me. "You alright, bro?"

"Yeah, but let's save it for later," I told him.

"Good idea," he agreed with a nod.

Tyrunt joined the Giganotosaurus in attacking the Saichania, and working together, they tail slapped at Tank's head in full force, before Tank was sent back near the Alpha Gang's feet and was carded.

Zander took her card in his hand, surprised.

"Well, this could be a problem," Ursula admitted.

"You said it," Ed nodded in agreement.

"C'mon, partner!" Tyrunt called to me. "Use my Move Card!"

I swiped his card in the Dino Gauntlet. "Volcanic Fire!"

Tyrunt fired flames from his mouth at the Spinosaurus, who was defeated by the fire and was carded like the Saichania.

The Giganotosaurus's mouth lit up in flames as she fired a fireball at Terry, who was sent flying towards the Alpha Gang and crash landed on them, flatting them on the ground.

"Well, looks like we got pancaked," Ursula muttered in pain.

Tyrunt and the Giganotosaurus roared in victory.

I cheered with them.

"Listen here, you brat!" Ursula called to me, after she got back up on her feet. "You're not only going to mess with us, but your life will never be safe from us! As long as we live, we will chase you and your little bratty friends!"

"Why don't you say that to them?" I pointed.

Ursula sweat dropped as she looked at Tyrunt and the Giganotosaurus in fear. "You were lucky this time, but we will be back! Remember it!" She ran off, with Ed and Zander in tow behind her.
