Chapter 42: The Sword and the Rain Maiden.
Times went on since the Nirvana Incident, as the news of the Oracion´s Seis defeat, were spread like a wildfire across the land.
The Oracion Seis, and Jellal, had been taken to the Magic Maximum Security Prison, Silverfold Creek.
On The Fairy Tail Guild, two new members had joined, Wendy Marvell and Carla. "Welcome to our guild, Wendy and Carla. I do hope you will have a great time around here." Makarov said. Wendy had gotten her blue color Fairy Tail mark on her right shoulder, while Carla had gotten it on her pink color Fairy Tail mark on her back. Mira was the one who had stamped them their guild marks.
"This is wonderful, Carla!" Wendy said, as the Blue Haired Girl were happy that they had gotten themselves a new home to stay in. "We are truly grateful for this." Carla said, as the Cat then jumped down from the table she was standing on.
Natsu, Happy, Lucy, Yukino, Ur, Erza and Gray, smiled as their guild had now two new guild members.
Suddenly, the doors burst open as a familiar Bluenette were shouting and running towards her Pink Haired Crush.
"NATSU-SAMA!" Juvia bellowed, hugging Natsu and having his head in her breasts.
"Natsu-sama, I have missed you..." Juvia said, comedic tears coming from her eyes. Lucy sweat dropped, Ur giggled in amusement, and Yukino blushed, as well some others females in the Guild Hall, including Wendy. Carla, had her paws covering her eyes, blocking her of the indecent scene before the young Sky Dragon Slayer.
"Please tell her to contain herself, there might be children here." Carla said in annoyance.
"I wish my son were here to see this." Macao thought, as he, Wakaba and Makarov were enjoying the view. "Natsu, you lucky boy!" Makarov thourgh with anime tears in his eyes.
Natsu tried to speak through, but only left muzzles. Erza then placed a hand on her shoulder. "Juvia. Please release Natsu or there will be dire consequences." Erza said in a cold, angry tone, and a red, dangerous aura were emitted from her. Juvia, who didn't normally hesitate of harm those who threaten her and her relationship with Natsu, but even she, knew when to listen.
Quickly, she pulled Natsu´s head off, who then tried to regain his breath.
"Good. Let's this be a lesson for you in future." Erza said. "You really shouldn't do any harsh reaction, like that, Juvia." Lucy said. "Love Rival!" Juvia said in a threatening tone. "Even though I'm one of his mates?" Lucy said, and as Juvia covered her ears. "I heard nothing! I heard nothing! I heard nothing! As a matter of fact, you never said it!" Juvia said, before sprinting out of the Guild.
Everyone sweat dropped at Juvia´s action, and before even a minute went by, Mira went to speak. "But it´s nice to see two new members have joined." Mira said with a smile. "Thank you once again. But me and Carla hope we can be of good help here." Wendy said with a small smile.
"Alright then. I am off to my place for some training. Wanna come, Happy?" Natsu asked. "No thanks, I wanna stay here." The blue cat answered, as he wanted to get to know more about Carla.
"Okay, see you later!" Natsu said, before then leaving.
"Even though we had been having a battle recently, I need to train to become stronger than before." Natsu thought, before then looking at his Kuroryuken Sword. "Perhaps it´s time to meet again, Nayoru." Natsu thought.
Time went on, as in the bar of the Fairy Tail Guild, were Erza were sitting, thinking of the events of the Oracion Seis Battle. Eventually, Lucy noticed and went towards her. "Hey, is everything alright?" Lucy asked. "Oh hi Lucy. No, it´s nothing, I am alright." Erza said, as she didn't want to have Lucy, or anyone worried. "You sure?" Lucy asked. Erza simply looked away as a response.
Since Jellal were arrested, she remembered during the Battle of Fairy Tail, back in the Kardia Cathedral, where she witnessed that Mystogan, had Jellal´s similar appearance. She still didn't know what it meant. She didn't want to tell Wendy or Carla about, as she had also told Natsu not to tell it to them either, as she didn't want to make them confused, making things worse for them.
"Is there something wrong?" A voice asked, causing Erza and Lucy turned around, as they expected to see Mira, but was the other waitress, Layla.
The mother of Lucy had noticed that her daughter and her red-haired friend were talking about something. "It´s nothing mom. Me and Erza were all talking about the evens we had from our recent battle." Lucy said. "I see. For me, things have been quite a deal lately. With me as the second waitress, things have been very lively. The men around here have been very fond of me lately." Layla said with playful giggle.
Lucy couldn't help but to blush, as the younger blonde girl thought she would be mad, but her embarrassment took her easily over.
"Don't worry, my dear. you will become used to it." Layla said, and Erza then to speak. "Anyway, have everything been good while we were gone?" Erza asked. "Yeah, things have been going well. The jobs are coming quite a lot here, and the members have been doing a great job here." Layla explained.
While Layla explained, both Erza and Lucy saw that the Guild was in quite a mood, with most of the members taking quests, and others talking to each other's.
Erza smiled, happy that the Guild was doing well, even when they were gone.
"I see. I am glad for this." Erza said, before looking up the roof. "I do hope this will continue. For who knows what dangers we might encounter. The next danger, will always be more powerful than the last." Erza thought.
Meanwhile...
Natsu, near his house, were currently meditating, with his Kuroryuken Sword, on the ground beside him.
Natsu needed solitude and silence, in order to come in contact with his inner spirit Nayoru.
Inside his inner mind, he walked through the corridors, like the first time he did. Unlike before, there was no organs of body parts, but the chains were still there.
Natsu came in front of the gates, before opening and went in. The floors were still covered with skulls and bones everywhere, and still had it´s dark tone.
"Welcome back, Natsu." A voice said, and Natsu knew who it was. A figure then rose from the piles of skulls and bones, slowly showing itself. Natsu watched as the figure then was full view, and then went to speak.
"Well, well, well." it seems that you had changed quite a lot since the last time we met." The figure said. "The same to you, Nayoru." Natsu said.
Nayoru grinned, showing off his new apperance. His white hair was now long, reaching to his ankles, his skin seemed now but paler, has black lips, black mascara and sharp, black nails. His eyes had now black sclera with red iris. His clothing is showing long black coat were covering his feet, had many red colored buttons and wide, ragged collar. The coat also seemed to have spiked pads of his shoulder, two spikes on each one.
"As you change, I will do as well. You and I share the same soul, after all." Nayoru said, and Natsu looked around.
"But even the place has changed a bit since last time." Natsu said. "Yeah. I am glad we had met since that day. However, there is something you should need to know about." Nayoru said. "What is it?" Natsu asked. "We have a new visitor." Nayoru said, causing Natsu to raise his right eyebrow in confusion.
Before Natsu even muttered a word, steps were heard across the room, causing Natsu to turn around, while Nayoru stood calmly still.
"It has been quite some time, and it's the first time we meet, Natsu Dragyama." A voice were heard, and then revealed herself.
She was a young-looking, very voluptuous woman with long, black hair, styled in what seemed to be similar to taregami, had a pair of red eyes, black lipstick, had paper white skin and a very large bust, which seemed to be on equal with Layla´s.
Her clothing consisted of a black kimono, with long bell sleeves, that had golden decorations on the sleeves and around it, tied by a black slash, wore long, black stockings and a pair of seta sandals. On her hair, she seemed to wears golden hair ornament that has a red rose.
The black-haired lady walked towards Natsu and Nayoru, her hands in her sleeves, smiling too.
atsu, allow me to introduce her. This is Kuroryuken, the Dragon Slaying Sword you having for quite some time." Nayoru said, making Natsu´s eyes widen as he heard the reveal.
"You're my sword...? What I heard back then it was..." Natsu said, remembering during his first fight with Rilfex, he heard a voice, calling for him. "Yes, I was speaking to you back then." Kuroryuken said, walking around Natsu and Rilfex.
"For centuries, I was trapped in the statue you found me in. It was in the same cave, where the Death Seekers resided." Kuroryuken said. "But why didn't you escape?" Natsu asked bluntly. "For you see, as times went on, I saw warriors, warriors who were unworthy of using my powers." Kuroryuken said. "Until then, on the day we first met. I saw your determination, unlike any who I have been in while I was imprisoned in stone. In your soul, I sensed your power, even though you seemed to have the lower hand. I had no interest in those who were losing, but you, were different." Kuroryuken said while walking around.
"You sensed Nayoru in me?" Natsu asked. "Yes, and I never felt such a presence before in my existence." Kuroryuken explained. "Since then, she has done nothing but to try to learn more about me." Nayoru said. "Well, you never tell me anything." Kuroryuken whined. "I only speak with Natsu here. Besides, he is the one who I am supposed to be there for." Nayoru explain.
"Yo, hate to change the subject, but I did come here for a reason." Natsu said. "Oh yes, I know it well. The reason for you to become stronger. That is what I like in a true warrior. I am willing to help you." Kuroryuken said.
"Nice. I can trust you two on this one." Natsu said. "But before we begin, I would like to be called Kuroshi. `Kuroryuken´ sounds masculine." Kuroshi said.
"Sure, I don't see a problem." Natsu said. His training with the two spirits inside his mind, where now about to start.
Back in the real world, Juvia, who were behind a rock, watched Natsu, in silence as she looked at the love of her life.
"Since I joined the Guild, Juvia had many love rivals. For the time, I haven't been able to do much, other than to watch Natsu-sama´s every move." Juvia thought.
Back during the Battle of Fairy Tail, Juvia had sacrificed herself in order to prevent her from harming her fellow guild mate, Cana. Since then, Juvia felt weak, even though she spared herself from fighting, and Cana an advante to fight Freed, but were in vain.
She had since then trained, in order be worthy of being one of Natsu´s mates, not to prove herself superior, but to be there for others.
"Juvia, will make sure to be worthy of being your Mate, Natsu-sama." Juvia thought, before then ran off to train.
An hour later, Natsu then opened his eyes and then went to pick up his sword, before looking at it. "To think that you were spirit Kuroshi. For every day, things become more crazier." Natsu said, before then looking up at the sky.
"Huh, it hasn't gone that long since I went in my inner world. Levy was right, the time sure flow differently in there." Natsu thought. He remembered that when asking Levy for help, she had told her according to her books she had about magical senses, that times flow differently in Inner World.
"It seems I do need to continue. Another new threat might come, and need to be prepared." Natsu said with determination, before putting on his shirt and left for the guild.
"Perhaps Erza can teach me some new moves, as well hope Levy will help me too." Natsu thought.
Weeks went on, as Natsu trained to master his sword further. Luckily, Erza helped him with to master further his swordsmanship, while Levy had volunteered to help Natsu, with info from her books.
While Natsu did train, Juvia did so as well, improving her Water Magic, hoping to make some new Spells, which she managed to make a few.
Natsu and Erza sparred with wooden sword. Erza were in her regular Heart Cruz Armor, while Natsu wore a pair of red, baggy pants, a pair of black shoes and a white tank top.
"Your posture have gotten better since last time, Natsu!" Erza praised, trying to send another strike at Natsu. "Well, I do have been keeping track of earlier battles." Natsu said, blocking the strike Erza was trying to block him. "Then try not to be charmed by the enemy's words!" Erza said, before then slinging her wooden sword upwards towards Natsu´s face. He dodged it, but then Erza had the blunt end of her sword at Natsu´s stomach. Natsu tried to dodge, but it was too fast as he was struck by the blunt force of Erza wooden sword, causing him then to kneel down. Before Natsu even were able to react, Erza had her sword pointed at Natsu´s face.
"If you take praise, you will be distracted, and the enemy gains the advantage. Make sure to remember it." Erza said. Natsu smiled, making sure to remember Erza´s teaching well. Natsu then got up, before then looking at Levy, who was at the tree, surrounded by books, while reading one.
"Levy, me and Erza are gonna take a break now." Natsu said. "Alright. I think I found something you that you should know." Levy said, and then walked towards the ground, where Natsu drank a bottle of water. "What is it?" Natsu asked. "It's about Mates of a Dragon Slayers." Levy said. Natsu and Erza turned their attention to Levy, who was holding a book in her hands.
"According to what I have heard, the limit of Mates a Dragon Slayer can have is twenty. After that, the Dragon Slayer won't be able to have more Mates." Levy explained, and Natsu were silent. One that he didn't know he could have that many mates, and that he had a limit. But then, Yoruyama had died before he was able to fully teach him about the "Birds and Bees" of the dragon world.
"But that does mean I can have more girls in my Harem? I may sound weird, but that feels kinda awesome!" Natsu thought.
"I had expected to accept more mates, but this many? Unbelievable." Erza said. "I don't mean to sound negative, but more than twenty might be over the scales." Natsu said. "You do have a point there Natsu. If anymore, there won't be able to have join in." Levy said.
At the same time, on top of a tree far away, sat Juvia on one of the branches, as she had listened to everything that had occurred. The blue-haired girl had sure been made sure to `watch´ one of the vixens from trying to do anything harsh, (even thought she knew that Natsu could handle anything, but would be happy to aid him).
She tried not to lose her focus from Natsu´s sexy abs and muscles, and not to harm Erza and Lecy.
But for now, what mattered that were the news she heard Levy talk about. It made her realize that she needed to make a move, or else she would not be able to be with Natsu-sama as his official next mate.
Despair where filled in Juvia's mind, even picturing of being left out of Natsu´s harem. But Juvia wasn't gonna fall that easily, because she knew what now needed to be done.
Climbing down from the tree, Juvia then made a dash, her head filled with the determination of what needed to be done.
"Do not worry Natsu. Because Juvia has a plan!" Juvia thought, flames in her eyes while she ran.
One week later...
In the guild hall of Fairy Tail, where everything seemed normal, with the fuild members drinking, talking or going on quests.
Levy spoke with Jet and Droy, Mira were tending at the bar, Cana was drinking a barrel of alcohol, Gray was speaking with Laki, and Elfman were with the Thunder God Tribe, talking mostly to Evergreen.
But as times were seemingly going normal, the gates of Fairy Tail were opened, and in came someone who everyone gained their attention to.
It was Natsu, who now wore a his white pants and black boots, but added a black shirt, a white vest and a long, black coat, as well had his scarf around his neck.
"Natsu!" Lucy said, being the first to speak. Natsu walked in, with Happy flying behind him. "Did you finish your training?" Elfman asked. "Yeah. I have become quite fond of the sword, as I have even learned some new moves, thanks to Erza." Natsu said, before then looking around.
"Speaking of which, where is Erza?" Natsu said. "She went on a job. Said she was gonna help with some mining at a mine in Acalypha Town." Levy explained.
"Well, me and Happy was thinking of going on mission. Anyone wanna come? Lucy?" Natsu asked. "Sorry, but me and Yukino were about to go on a quest ourselves." Lucy said. "We can probably go on a quest together next time." Yukino said.
"Cana?" Natsu asked. "Sorry, but I am gonna need to on a mission later on." Cana said. "Well, what about you, Mira?" Natsu asked. Since the Battle of Fairy Tail, where Mira had reawaken her powers, Mira had started to go on missions once more. "Sorry, but I am busy for the moment." Mira said.
"Alright then, Elfman, wanna go?" Natsu asked. "Sorry, but I was gonna go with Freed, Bickslow and Evergreen on their mission." Elfman said, as since Laxus had left the guild, the Thunder God Tribe had been more social and had interacted more with the other Fairy Tail Guild Members.
"But I think he just want to spend time with Evergreen." Freed said. "I agree." Bickslow said, as his dolls chanted with him. "WE ARE NOT!" A blushing Elfman and Evergreen shouted at the same time.
"I understand." Natsu said, before then sighing. "But Natsu, do you even know which job you wanna go on?" Happy asked. "Hmm, I didn't even think of that which job to do." Natsu said bluntly, causing the others to sweat drop.
But then, as if by some magical words, Juvia had appeared, with as she was seemingly carrying a poster.
"Do not worry, Natsu-sama, your beloved Juvia has a solution!" Juvia said, who was holding a poster in her hand.
"Juvia?" Natsu said, as Juvia responded with a smile. "Well, I have been thinking since it has been a while, as I was thinking we could do a mission together, and I happen to find something you can be interested in." Juvia said, before then showing the poster.
"Crescent Fox Guild, needs aid in fighting the Dark Guild Bakunawa Fang. Reward included." Happy said while reading it. "Well, that sounds exciting! I am ready to go when you are!" Natsu said. "I am glad to hear that." Juvia said smiling.
Juvia had planned that to make sure to take a mission where she would be able to show off her strength and progress of her training she had done. She was gonna make it sure it would be more of a romantic dinner or date at least, but changed her mind, as Juvia didn't want Natsu or anyone suspect anything.
"Awesome. Is it alright if Happy tag along?" Natsu asked. "Aye!" Happy said, as he floated in the air.
"Of course! I don't see a reason to deny!" Juvia said. She had made sure to keep the timing perfect, as any love rival who was gonna stand in Juvia´s way of becoming´s Natsu new lover, but she knew Happy could barely be a threat to her and Natsu´s relationship.
"Alright then! Shall we then go on?" Natsu said, which Juvia smiled as she, Natsu and Happy went on to leave for their next Job.
Once they had left the guild hall, Lucy went on to break the silence in it. "Sooner or later, Juvia would make her move." Lucy said. "You noticed?" Cana said. "You did noticed Juvia´s behavior, right?" Mira said. "Yeah. It´s about time she made her move. That lady had been on Natsu for a while." Cana said, taking a sip from her drink.
The other members of Natsu´s harem understood as well, and since it was Natsu´s who were deciding, they know for a fact it would lead to something good.
Later...
In a carriage towards a town, Natsu, Happy and Juvia were on their way towards there.
"Ugh, why does carriage even exist...?" Natsu graoned, his face turned purple and his head laying on Juvia´s lap. "Do not worry, Natsu-sama. Juvia is there for you." Juvia said happily. "This must Jasmine Town, the place for the job request." Happy said, looking out the window.
"It´s about time... this will be no problem for us." Natsu said. "Take it calm, you need your rest for the job, remember?" Juvia said with a sweet smile. "And you have Juvia at your side, and not those the love rivals." Juvia thought, as today she was going to prove herself to be useful, in their current mission.
Eventually, the carriage reached at the Crescent Fox guild hall, and once Juvia, Natsu and Happy left, Natsu immediately got back his energy, as if he was revived.
"Finally! I thought for a moment I would die soon enough!" Natsu said, arms in the air. "But someday, you need to fix that weakness of yours, Natsu." Happy said. "Screw you, Happy! Besides, we are here at the point, aren't we?" Natsu said, before they looked at the Crescent Fox guild hall.
The Tall building weren't quite large as the Fairy Tail Guild, it was big enough to have two levels, was in style of European buildings, made of light grey rocks and had a pair of large, dark wooden gates, and has large windows too. On the front, orange banner with the Crescent Fox Emblem on in red. The emblem itself seemed to be crescent moon, but with a fox´s head at the upper tip of it.
Before then, the gates opened and three men were coming towards Natsu, Juvia and Happy.
One is young teenager who is seemingly sixteen years old, had short, blonde hair, yellow eyes, wore orange shirt, which had a Crescent Fox emblem on the back, a pair of dark brown pants, orange boots and had a black jacket tied around his waist.
Another one seemed to be a young man with blue hair, blue eyes, with slightly pronounced cheekbones. He wore a black shirt, a long redcoat, a pair of beige pants and simple brown shoes, plus a pair of glasses.
In the middle of the trio, who were the oldest of trio, was a middle aged man, seemingly in his early 30´s. He had brown hair, green eyes and a broad chin. He had a brown mustache as well a goatee.
For clothing, he wears a pair of blue pants, brown boots, a simple black belt and a yellow shirt. Over it, he wore an orange coat, that has a black crescent Fox Emblem on the back.
"Welcome, Fairy Tail Mages. I am Ethan Burris, the Guild Master of Crescent Fox. This here is the Second in Command of the Guild, my brother Deshawn, and this here is my son, Jake." The Man named Ethan explained.
"I am Natsu Dragneel, this is Juvia Lockser and Happy, and we are from Fairy Tail." Natsu said, as they showed their Guild Marks.
"Wonderous. I am pleased to see taken our quest. Will you follow me to my office? I will explain to you about of our problem." Ethan said. "No problem." Natsu said, which they then went inside Crescent Fox Guild.
As the went in, The young boy, Jake, had his eyes on the ground, before then looking at his dad.
"For a time, I have wanted to show what I can do. This will be the time for me to do it." Jake thought determined.
Meanwhile...
In a dark room, where light were barely in, the door were burst open, as a male figure came in. "Master! We seem to have a problem!" The male figure said.
The large individual the male figure spoke to, who were sitting down, back faced to him, and seemed to be smoking a cigar. "What is it, Pez? You better have come in with a good reason. I do not like when people do so with no good reason." The large man said.
"Well, it´s about Crescent Fox. It seems that they have been calling for resources, Fairy Tail had come to aid them." Pez explained. "Fairy Tail?" The large figure said. "Yes, the same Group who took down Oracion Seis weeks ago. What are we gonna do?" Pez asked. The large man simply grin, his cigar in his mouth, with sharp teeth, filled with the feeling of terror. He then stood up and walked towards Pez.
"Isn't it obvious? We, Bakunawa Fang, will now make our move. It´s time to teach them what happens when you in the jaws of a shark." The Guild Master of Bakunawa Fang declared.

But now, Juvia will now make her move, in becoming Natsu´s next mate. This arc will focus on Juvia´s relationship, as well Natsu´s focus on his sword, which you will see further in the next chapter.
Plus, here are some explanations.
"Jasmine," is a Genus of flowers, suiting for Fiore´s Flower themed names for cities.
"Bakunawa," is a Serpent-like Dragon in Phillippine Mythology, said to cause wind, rains, earthquakes and even eclipses.
"Pez", is simply the Spanish word for "Fish."
I do not know how long this arc will be, but the next chapters will be short. But once the Bakunawa Fang Arc is over, the Edolas Arc will begin.
