Chapter 3 Ki training begins
Magneto fly across the desert to his old metal dome, when entered inside he sees only Pyro and Mastermind. One was an Australian mutant who can manipulate fire, the other was a master of illusions. Magneto was wondering where the others was. It turned out after the fight against Apocalypse, they went their separate way. Magneto has no other choice, but to recruit the two of them. Pyro was munching on some popcorn watching adult vids on the oversized monitor. Mastermind on the other hand was sleeping.
"What in blazes is going on here?" Magneto shouted wit disgust in his voice.
"Um Magneto long time no see mate." Pyro greeted with a nervous tone.
"Magento what brings you here?" Mastermind hid behind Pyro with fear in his eyes.
"To recruit you for a huge battle." Magneto informed his former lackies.
"Ooh what kind of battle?" Mastermind asked.
"There's an army of Nephalyms coming to earth, we need all the help I can get, so where all the others?" Magneto asked.
"Well everyone went their separate ways, Colossus went back to Russia, Gambit is somewhere in the deep south, I have no idea where Sabertooth is." Mastermind responded.
"Oh yeah a battle now we're talking." Pyro was full of enthusiasm, his blood is pumping. He had a burning desire for a fight. "It's boring around here, so where are we headed to?: Pyro asked.
"We're heading to the Xavier Institute." Magneto said as he flew off.
"He's kidding right?" Pyro was confused.
"I'm afraid not, it's best to get a move on." Mastermind said.
Pyro creates a couple of horses from his flames. "Lets head on out." Pyro and Mastermind each took a horse and left.
Meanwhile at the Institute, Mystique was finished with creating a replica of the orb. Storm was amazed with her craftsmanship. This was really important, Mystique knew that Azazel's flunkies would come after them. The fake orb should keep them busy until they found the real one. The students was outside for their training. They noticed that a rock was placed in front of them. Logan shows up with his karate gi, ready to teach the students a new lesson.
"Alright everyone your training begins now." Logan said as he places a rock in front of him.
"What's the purpose of the rocks?" Lance asked.
"I was just getting into that, it's an exercise for your ki training." Logan responded. "Ok lets get started, now ki is an energy force within the body, it's main focus is drawn from the center of the body, for your first exercise I want you all to draw out your ki, to do that, focus, concentrate on the energy from the center." Logan instructed.
Logan goes around and he's see that some of the students are able to draw out their ki and some are having a difficult time. Those who were able to draw their was out to the side, while the others kept trying. Eventually all the students was able to draw out their ki but only for a moment.
"Ok that wasn't to bad, the key is focus, block out distracting thought, once your able to do that the possibilities are endless." Professor Xavier checked on their training.
"So lets try it one more time, this time draw as much as you can, stay focus at all times." Logan instructed the students. The students drawn out their ki, this time for little longer than the first time. "Now for our next exercise, the rocks, now concentrate on letting your flowing into you fist, your goal is crush the rocks with your ki infused fist." Logan instructed the students.
One by one, each student was able to break the rocks one by one, the Professor suggests that they take a break for now. Logan already decided on their final exercise. They heard a knock on the door, Beast went to answer it and it was Legion, Angel and Spike. Beast greeted them both and guided them outside. Professor was happy to see that all three of them stop by.
"I'm glad that you could make it on such short notice." Professor Xavier shook their hand.
"Likewise father, according to my sources that two of Azazel's lieutenants was spotted Downtown in disguise, but I managed to get a few pictures of their true forms." Legion hands his father a few photographs.
"Oh my goodness, they look extremely dangerous." Spike responded.
"Indeed they are my friend, they were last spotted somewhere in this area, but I lost sight of them." Legion said.
"They looking for some type of object." Angel said.
"Yes some type of orb, Mystique has hidden it somewhere in Germany, her and Storm are heading out later tonight." Professor his son.
"Where is Auntie O now?" Spike asked.
"I'm right here." Storm approaches her nephew.
"Auntie O." Spike hugs his aunt.
"How's the ki training going?" Mystique asked.
"So far go good, the students are learning quite quickly than expected." Beast responded.
"I'm glad to hear that, the preparations are complete, now we wait until tonight." Storm said.
"The fake orb is completed, Lucielle and Nino wouldn't be far, they're watching my every move as we speak." Mystique said as she joins the ki training.
"So Mystique is one of us now?" Angel asked.
"It's been official as of a couple of hours ago, we could use all the allies we could get." Professor replied.
"Then count me in father." Legion volunteered to help.
"Same here." Spike added.
"I'm in as well." Angel also joined in.
Glad to have you aboard, we're waiting for Magneto and his team to return." Strom said.
"No need for that, I'm here with only two allies." Magneto entered with Mastermind and Pyro.
"Where are the other Acolytes?" Mystique asked.
"Well after the fight against Apocalypse, the others went their separate ways." Pyro replied.
"Well there's nothing much we could do, the student has begun their training, we should check their progress." Beast and the others head outside.
As the others head outside to check on the student, they were exhausted from the training. Logan instructed them to take a break. He had one more exercise in stored for them, he decided to a little while longer. Moments later, Logan had the students form a circle for their final exercise hand to hand combat.
"Ok you know some of the basics, now lets see how you can use it in combat without your powers."
Logan informs the students.
"Um what now? Bobby asked.
"One on one two rounds then we'll call it a day." Logan said.
"Alright, so who first?" Scott asked.
"How about you and Lance?" Logan replied.
"I've been waiting for this." Lance cracks his knuckles.
"Alright fine." Scott and Lance took their place in the center.
"Ok we're doing this tournament style, 3 points wins, remember no powers, ki attacks only." Logan said.
Scott and Lance took their place in the center, both have their hands coated with ki energy. Lance throws the first punch, but Scott dodges it and hits him with a right cross scoring him his first point. Lance decides to changes tactics, he transfers some of his ki energy to his head. He grabs Scott and attempted to headbutt, it backfired. Scott transferred some of his ki energy to his leg and kneed Lance in his guts scoring him his second point. For the final point, Scott transferred his ki energy to both of his legs, Lance charges at Scott and tackles him to the ground. Scott immediately transferred it to his head and headbutt Lance scoring him his final point.
"Ok the winner is Scott." Logan announced.
"That was one hell of a match Summers." Lance was huffing and puffing, catching his breath.
"Well same to you Alvers." Scott and Lance shacks each other hand.
"I have a suggestion for the final." Mystique said.
"What kind of suggestion?" Professor Xavier asked.
"The final match should a 2 vs 2 match, my children against Magneto's children, each has to score three points of their own." Mystiques said as the rest of Institute was surprised.
"What me and Wanda against it them no way." Pietro sounded nervous.
"I'm so down, goth girl vs goth girl." Wanda stands up and cracks her knuckles.
"I'm so down for this." Rogue cracks her knuckles as well.
"Ja, count me in as vell." Kurt accidentally charges hi ki to the fullest.
"Mind turning down your ki just a tad bit Elf?" Logan asked.
"Oops sorry about zhat." Kurt responded.
"You see he will kill me with that power." Pietro protested.
"There is no use of powers in exercise remember." Toad reminded him.
"Pietro if you're really my brother, then you'll join me in this match." Wanda sounded frustrated with her brother.
"Ok fine." Pietro finally gave in.
"Alrighty then Darkholmes vs Maximoffs, let the match begin." Logan announced.
All four teens infused their ki energy to different parts of their bodies, Pietro and Kurt sent their ki to their legs. Pietro attempted to kick Kurt, but he dodges and hits Pietro with an axe kick to the head scoring him his first. Rogue and Wanda on the other hand transferred their ki to their fist, Wanda throws a right hook at Rogue. Rogue blocks it and countered with a right uppercut. Now both Kurt and Rogue has 1 point each. Kurt and Rogue charges their ki, and gets into a karate stance. They close eyes and senses their next movements, Wanda and Pietro jumps into the air to hit Rogue and Kurt with a high kick. With perfect timing Kurt and Rogue grabs their kicking leg, infused their fists with ki and hit them hard, now they have 2 points each. For the final point, Kurt and Rogue stood back to back locking onto each arms, they infused their legs with ki, and spins around hitting the Maximoffs with a devastating combo attack the Darkholme spin attack scoring them their final point.
"That was a great match you two, man that was awesome." Wanda was smiling for the first time in a long time. "We should do this again." Wanda sounded cheerful.
"Count me out." Pietro sounded negative.
"Don't mind him, the four of fought great." Magneto complimented.
"Alrighty then we'll continue this tomorrow, now enjoy the rest of the day." Professor said.
All the students went inside to change their regular clothes. "Do you think they'll be ready for the big battle?" Mastermind asked.
"I have faith in all of my students, they learning to control with ease, but theses are only the basics." The Professor responded.
"How about I take over when I get back from Germany, they need to know about ki blast as well." Mystique said.
"Alrighty then it settled, but go easy on them would ya?" Logan taps Mystique's shoulder.
"Of course, for now I'm going to tip a dip in the pool." Mystique goes up upstairs to change into her bikini.
"Why don't we all enjoy the rest of the to relax, Storm and Mystique definitely will needed." Beast said.
"Agreed, come Evan we have on catching up to do." Storm heads to the main corridor.
"Of course Auntie O." Spike follows his aunt.
