Chapter 44: Fight under the Water
Under the water, Natsu, Juvia, Happy and Jake were inside the air bubble, were Ottopus had its tentacles raised, preparing to assault them.
"Juvia, Happy, Jake. You three stay here while take care of him." Natsu said. "You sure, Natsu?" Jake asked. "Don't worry, he is Natsu. He has been taking down tougher foes than this Ottopus." Happy said.
"But before you go, have this. This will make you able to breathe underwater, as well have your fight better." Juvia said, as then an air-filled water bubble appeared on Natsu´s head.
"Awesome! Thanks Juvia." Natsu said, before then preparing to leave the bubble, while facing Ottopus the Giant Octopus.
"This won't take long, it will be over soon!" Natsu said, and then jumped out of the bubble, and straight towards Ottopus.
"It´s time to taste the dark!" Natsu said, before his fists were then covered in darkness.
Octopus send his tentacles at Natsu, but he easily managed to dodge them, one by one, until he was then close to his face and then had his fist charged with darkness.
"Abyss Dragon´s Iron Fist!" Natsu said, punching the giant octopus in the face, knocking it out in one hit!
Ottopus then fell down with great speed, as ink were sprouted out from its mouth, landing on the ground with a crash, leaving a smoke cloud after it.
"You did it, Natsu!" Happy cheered. "Well done, Natsu-sama!" Juvia cheered as well. Natsu still had his serious look on, before then turning to another direction.
"Don't cheer yet, cause we got more incoming." Natsu said, as which Juvia, Happy and Jake turned to the direction Natsu were looking at.
Within their sight, a group of over a hundred individuals, who all had a fish-like appearance, with green scales, webbed hands, claws and sharp fangs, as well slit pupils. They all wore different kinds of clothing, as well had the Bakunawa Fang mark, of different body locations and colors, on their bodies.
"What the hell are those!?" Happy said. "They are members of Bakunawa Fang!" Jake said. "They must be using a Take Over: Animal Soul Magic." Juvia said.
Natsu grinned, as he then cracked his knuckles. "Seems the party is getting started." Natsu said, before he then swam towards the group, as they all went to attack him.
The leader, who had orange hair, yellow eyes and had his guild Emblem on his left shoulder, had noticed Natsu. He wore a pair of dark brown pants, a pair of black shoes and a blue vest, plus a pair of blue rubber gloves.
He ordered his men to stop, as he then came face to face with Natsu.
"Hello there. I am Tergas, the leader of the Underwater Guards of Bakunawa Fang." Tergas said as he introduced himself. "Natsu Dragyama of Fairy Tail. Me and my Guild Mates are here for a reason, you probably already know." Natsu said.
"The Void Knight of Fairy Tail? You must be then the one who who took down Oracion Seis, one of the Three Pillars of the Balam Alliance." Tergas said. "But you shouldn't be arrogant, because you took down the Ottopus, a monster which our Mighty Guild Master tamed. Because of all the Dark Guilds, Bakunawa Fang is the closest of replacing Oracion Seis." Tergas.
"Ironic, since you are boasting as well." Natsu said. "Silence! You will pay for underestimating Bakunawa Fang, and intruding on our base! Men, attack!" Tergas said and then ordered his men to attack.
The Bakunawa Fangs then swarmed towards Natsu, who simply cracked his knuckles. "Seems I have no choice, but to take you down." Natsu said, before then one of them came at Natsu.
As first, the Bakunawa Fang mages were smirking as the Dragon Slayer would be easily taken down. But they were wrong, which were the opposite in face.
Natsu punched a Bakunawa Fang, straight at his stomach, making immediately lose consciousness.
Tergas and his fellow Guild members were in shock, but he quickly shook his head and then ordered them once more.
"Don't falter! It´s just one of you down! Only because he took one of us down, doesn't it mean he will take down the rest of us!" Tergas said. Without words, the Dark Mages went to attack Natsu against, this time many at the same time.
The young Dragon Slayer had of course no problems with them, as he punched and kicked at every Bakunawa Fang Member coming towards at Natsu.
But as Natsu had no trouble with taking the group on, a group of twenty Bakunawa Fang members were surrounding Juvia, Happy and Jake, who were inside the air bubble.
"Let's see if you have the same luck as your friend." A Dark Mage said, before he and his group went to attack them.
"Happy, Jake. Don't worry, I will make sure they won't strike us." Juvia said, before then she made missiles of water surrounding herself and her companions, before she then launched them at the enemies.
"Water Missiles!" Juvia said, sending them at the Bakunawa Fang Mages, striking them head on, and knocking them out.
But then another group of Dark Mages came at them, which then Juvia prepared another attack at them.
"Water Cleaver!" Juvia said, sending a cleaver shaped attack at the Dark Mages, taking them down with ease.
At the same time, Natsu easily took down the enemies coming at him, while Tergas were desperately sweating.
"Impossible, this man taken them down faster than flies... did we really underestimate them?" Tergas thought with horror, but quickly shook his thoughts away. "No, I cannot think these thoughts. I will make sure to take that man down, and then I will make sure deal with the rest of them as well!" Tergas thought, before then he ordered his minions. "Men! We are now gonna do `Tactic 20!´ make sure to prepare for your positions!" Tergas ordered.
Before Natsu knew what was going on, the remaining Bakunawa Fang Mages and grabbed his arms and legs, while Tergas grinned evilly.
"How do you like that?! You should be honored, because now you and your friends will witness the Ultimate Tactic of the Underwater Guards of Bakunawa Fang!" Tergas declared.
Tergas then began to spin, before it went full blinding speed. "Now, witness my Ultimate Killer Move, which will have your body parts and blood spread the Ocean Floor!" Tergas declared while still spinning.
"Behold! Murder Spin Attack!" Tergas said, as he sent himself like a rocket and spanned like a drill towards Natsu, who were held by the Dark Mages.
But Natsu simply grinned and then sent another attack.
"Abyss Dragon´s Roar!" Natsu said, as the stream of darkness came from his mouth and struck Tergas head on, knocking him out immediately!
The force of the impact send the Dark Mages that were holding Natsu, but it also bursted his bubble around his head.
But before the Dark Mages could attack, several blasts of water came and struck the them down, as Juvia, Happy and Jake inside the water bubble came towards Natsu.
"Quick, Natsu-sama! Jump inside the bubble!" Juvia said.
Natsu couldn't quite hear Juvia, but he knew needed to go inside or he would drown. Natsu quickly swam inside the bubble, and once he was, he was taking deep breaths.
"You okay?" Jake asked, while Happy patted Natsu´s shoulder. "Yeah, I am fine. Thanks Juvia." Natsu said, which made Juvia have a big smile and pink cheeks.
Natsu then looked to see the Bakunawa Fang mages were unconscious from the beatings. "Even though they were nothing, there will be soon more to come after us. We better hurry before they send reinforcements." Natsu said.
Juvia, Happy and Jake nodded in agreement, which then Juvia made the bubble move faster.
"I have a feeling these weren't the last enemies we will encounter around here." Natsu said.
Indeed it was, as then a group of pig-sized pufferfishs, came at them. "What now?" Jake said. The Pufferfishes then inflated into large sizes, becoming twice as big as they then sent several spike projectiles at the group.
Juvia then created a wall of water to protect them from the spikes, which blocked them with ease. "Dammit, things won't go nice if they pop the bubble." Juvia said, before then turned to the others.
"Don't worry, Natsu-sama. Juvia will make sure to have protect you and the others with my very soul." Juvia said with a sweet smile, hearts around her head. "Awesome! Go for it, Juvia!" Natsu cheered. "Aye!" Happy said as well. "What did she mean by `the Others?´" Jake said while sweat dropping, but his words were on deaf ears.
Juvia then saw a gigantic flatfish, blue in color, having yellow eyes and was big enough to be the sail of a ship. The Flatfish went to attack them, but Juvia was prepared.
"Leave it to me!" Juvia said, before then sending a large blast of water towards the flatfish, knocking it out and sending it down to the bottom!
"Water Eruption!" Juvia said, as a large cloud of smoke erupted from the button, where the flatfish landed.
As once one danger were done, another came by, in the shape of a gigantic crab, with it´s shell golden orange in color, as well being three times bigger than the Ottopus.
Juvia didn't show any fear, and neither did her teammates, even Jake, as they know it would be no match.
"Water King Slicer!" Juvia said, before then thousands of water blades came and then cut the gigantic crab to pieces, causing it to then fall down on the ground, as Juvia then turned around to see Natsu, along with Happy and Jake.
"Natsu-sama. This is the result of my training. With this, i am sure fit to be your Mate." Juvia thought while smiling sweetly.
"Good job Juvia! You sure are amazing!" Natsu said with a grin, patting her shoulder, causing her to become red as a tomato, and steam like crazy. "Oh Natsu-sama..." Juvia said, before then bubble slowly started to sank to the bottom, causing everyone to panic comically.
"Oi, Juvia! We are about to hit bottom!" Jake shouted.
At the same time, at the Bakunawa Fang Guild Hall...
"Master!" A Bakunawa Fang member came in the throne room of the Guild Master, who sat upon his large throne, covered in the shadows. The Bakunawa Fang member were bald, has blue eyes and a scar across the left side of his face. He wore a beige jacket, a white tank top, black pants, a pair of black sandals and a sword strapped on his back.
"What is it?" The Guild Master said. "The Underwater Squad, led by Tergas-san, have been annihilated." The Messenger said.
"Hm, Tergas, he and his team were users of Take Over: Animal Soul: Piranha. But Tergas shouldn't have been overconfident, since his powers were inferior to mine. I should have known he would one day would been taken down, because of his arrogance." The Guild Master said. "What should we do?" Asked the messenger.
The Bakunawa Fang Guild Master rose from his throne, before walking towards
"It seems it will pose a problem. We then better prepare ourselves for an upcoming battle against Fairy Tail." The Guild Master said, and was shown once he was out of the shadows.
He was an incredible, tall and muscular man with orange eyes, black hair in a military styled top, as well had his Blue Bakunawa Fang emblem on left forearm. He wore a pair of brown pants, a white shirt, a black vest, a black belt with a gold buckle, and black armbands on his wrists.
He is Fukahire Choryu, the Guild Master of the Dark Guild Bakunawa.
"Kerk, Gather our S-class Mages. We are gonna make sure to handle them." Fukahire ordered. "Even you? Are sure you are prepared?" The Bakunawa Fang member, now known as Kerk, said.
"Do not question me, since Crescent Fox´s last assault, I have been training with the Weapon we have gained. I took some time, but it was the worth of time." Fukahire said. "I see sir. I shall immediately tell everyone to prepare for battle." Kerk said, before then leaving.
"I was gonna give Crescent Fox a chance to witness the power, but since they sent Fairy Tail, it seems I am gonna take it now." Fukahire thought sinisterly.
"We should be close by now, but we need to be careful. We can never know what will pop up." Jake said.
"What enemies do you think will appear next?" Happy asked.
"Whatever they are, we must be on our guard." Juvia said.
The group saw soon the ocean floor rising towards an island, which the surface of it showing.
"It seems we are close to the edge of the Island." Happy said. "Alright, but we shouldn't go up just yet, as the Bakunawa Fang must have heard of our assault, plus must have them prepared for us." Jake said. "We better come up with a plan soon as possible, because they might have something in store." Juvia said.
But before anyone were able to react, Happy turned around and then shouted in horror.
"GIGANTIC EELS SIX OCLOCK!" Happy shouted, causing everyone to turn around, seeing what the Blue Cat had shouted about.
In front of them, were a group of five gigantic eels with orange skin, deep red eyes, spiked frills and sharp fangs, coming straight at them.
"They sure have a lot in store for us." Natsu said, cracking his knuckles and then looked up at the surface. But once Natsu did that, they Eels were rushing straight at them, before they even were able to react, but Natsu simply smiled calmly.
At the same time, up at the shores of the Bakunawa Fang Guild, many Dark Mages were gathered at the gates of their base.
In the middle, were Fukahire, along with the three S-class Mages of his Guild.
"Boss, you sure they are about to come to us soon?" A tubby, broad man said. He had orange hair in the style of spikes, a pair of red eyes and thick, large lips. His clothing were a pair of black pants, brown leather boots, a simple, green belt, a green t-shirt, spiked armbands and a black vest with the Red Bakunawa Fang Emblem on the back. He is Kani, one of the S-class Mages of the Bakunawa Fang members.
"You moron, of course he knows! He wouldn't have called us all here if he didn't know." He is Unagi, another S-class Mage of Bakunawa Fang said. He was a man with orange ahir and green eyes. Unagi wore a pair of blue, baggy pants, white sandals, a purple vest, was bare-chest and had a pair of black gloves. His Purple Bakunawa Fang Emblem were on his chest.
"Besides, my Pet Eels should be easily able to chop them to pieces, as well eat every single piece that´s left of them! They were even able to eat an entire Wyvern in the past." Unagi said.
"But those we are facing, are Fairy Tail. Not long ago, along with other Light Guilds, Fairy Tail took down Oracion Seis, as it was said it was mainly Fairy Tail who did that." Mekajiki, The Strongest S-Class Mage said. He has dark green eyes, long blue hair that were pulled back, exposing his forehead and had his purple Bakunawa Fang emblem on his right hand. For clothing, he wore a pair of green pants, a black t-shirt, a pair of brown shoes and over it, a blue cape. In his hand, he had a sword, with the handle being covered in red ribbon, a golden orb on the top, and the guard being black and was in the shape of a sword fish, with red, jewel like eyes, and a long, iron spike like it´s nose, and were the blade of the sword.
"You should listen to Mekajiki well, Unagi. You too, Kani." Fukahire said. "Yes." Unagi said he and Kani bowed down. "Please excuse us for our behavior." Kani said.
Fukahire simply looked in the horizon, while he carried a large, sword, with it´s large and thick blade being covered in black bandages.
"Fukahire-sama, we are prepared to attack at any time. Tell us your command, and we shall begin to attack." Mekajiki said.
As then suddenly, a large tower of water were erupted into the air, which made Fukahire, Mekajiki, Unagi and Kani, plus the rest of the Bakunawa Fang members, to look up in the sky in shock, before once the water were clearing, they eyes were filled with even more shock.
Natsu, Juvia, Jake and Happy, were in the air, with Natsu out of the bubble, which then popped, freeing the tree who were inside of it. Behind them, were the eels that were unconcious, covered in brusies they fell down the ocean with a large splash, while the four Mages were landing on the shore.
"Well, that went faster than I fought." Natsu said. "But you were incredible as always, Natsu-sama!" Juvia said lovingly, while hugging him.
"Uh, guys, don't wanna to butt in, but it seems we got company." Jake said, which the others looked to see the Bakunawa Fang members surrounding the.
"Those fiends, they will pay for harming my pets!" Unagi shouted in rage, as he did not want to tolerate what he saw in front of him.
"Calm down, Unagi. If you lose your cool now, you might not be able to have your revenge." Fukihiri said, before then beginning to walk forward, before he was in front of his Guild Members.
"Welcome, you must be the Fairy Tail Mages I have heard about. I am Fukahire Choyou, the Guild Master of Bakunawa Fang." Fukahire said as he introduced himself. "It´s a pleasure to meet you, Fairy Tail. Too bad you are about to die here." Fukahire said.
Natsu simply grinned, as he then began to crack his knuckles, preparing for battle. "Well, it seems we got ourselves quite a deal, haven't we?" Natsu said.
Juvia prepared her Water Magic, Happy used his wings to fly in the air, and Jake stood in fighting position.
"Prepare yourself, Bakunawa Fang. Because here we go!" Natsu said, before he and his team went to attack.
The real battle was now about to start!
