Time for a Mechanised Melee! (Intelligence of Humans and Digimon combined! Battle, Andromon!)
The group walked towards the city, which they could see in the very far distance and the group were mostly in a very good mood with Mikey, Veemon, Barry and Blue Dracomon happily talking to Patrick with amazement at Guilmon's great performance the day before "That was amazing Guilmon, I mean the amount of Kapow that was unleashed, was like unbelievably awesome!" Veemon happily chirped and Mikey nodded in approval. "Well, if we find those Chess army soldiers, they'll be blasted to Kingdom Come instantly." Fred commentated to which Tobias and Barry cheered in reply, "It depends on how strong the enemies are, I-I-I mean if that scary knight appears, w-w-we might be toast again." Elecmon stuttered, to which the group became silent and uncomfortable.
After twenty minutes of silence, they noticed a large seemingly abandoned fortress close by and soon afterwards they spotted several scouts of the Chess Army, and the group knew that they needed to find a place to hide instantly before they were spotted. As they ran into the fortress and stayed as quiet as they could, after they noticed that the scouts had left to a different direction as a collective which was great for them, for now, they then started to notice several inactive robots in the fortress and the group realised that they had been unintentionally caught in a trap, right before everything went dark.
Slowly, Mikey stirred to life on a cold sterile floor, trapped with a large silver robot staring right at him. Mikey realised that Veemon wasn't with him, and that Tobias was also waking up as well, he realised that there could have been over dungeons in that fortress and that they would need to escape immediately. He looked around and realised that the robot Digimon was controlled by a control pad on the wall and that it was only activating if it was on, so he hatched a plan with Tobias, namely that Tobias's slightly louder voice would be able to distract the robot whilst he threw a rock at the control pad. Thanks to Tobias shouting that he was going to "Get my pal back no matter what!" Mikey was able to throw the rock which with a satisfying clunk caused the silver robot to deactivate, after escaping the room they, with many rocks, were able to free Darren, Catherine, Natalie and Fred and they heard a large amount of noise coming from above them, they rushed in and hid behind a large door and peeked.
The other seven were trapped and being threatened by multiple torture looking devices and 5 pink thin Digimon with scythes on their hands looking at the captive Digimon, preparing to pounce when their master told them and their master was on a control pedestal in the middle, a short data looking robot with long extendable arms and a pill shaped body and short stumpy legs. "We-We-we know that you-you-you lifeforms came here via-via-via a portal, now-now-now you will tell-tell-tell us what you know." The Digimon spoke in a high-pitched robotic voice echoing around the walls. Darren snarled at him, "You're not going to get a peep out of us!" "Is-is-is that a challenge?" "Absolutely!" Steven retorted right back, the group hiding behind the door smirked at the obvious distraction and planned to get everyone out of there.
By waiting until the Digimon were distracted, Mikey and Tobias successful broke off Veemon's chains and as the Digimon prepared to attack, the Digivolution began.
Veemon Armor-Digivolve to… Raidramon!
"Blue Thunder!" Raidramon shouted and several electrical blasted throughout the room allowing everyone to escape and when both Tobias and Gearmon happily reunited, his Digivice had the same glow as Patrick had.
Gearmon Warp-Digivolve to… Andromon!
Gearmon had become a tall thin cyborg creature with endoskeleton poking out of certain parts and a Robocop looking head. "You will not be allowed to harm my friend, Lightning Blade!" Two large teal coloured laser blades appeared from his arms, and he started to clash with the pink Digimon, and a quick free for all ensued and as they escaped the pill Digimon, having been heavily stunned by the lightning sent the information of the particles that were connected to his master, Ebemon.
