This Chapter's POV is Izzy's!

I hope you enjoy it!

-November 2nd-

Ugh. What happen? While trying to regain my memory, I sluggishly opened my eyes but instantly shut them due to the intense brightness in front of me. Shit! I figured I've been out for around 12 hours since daylight was already shining through the windows or was in front of me. But what happened?

"She's waking up!"

The abrupt loudness made me wince and curl up into a ball. Why so loud? And whose voice was that?

Slowly, I peeked out from my folded arms. It looked like I was in some kind of abandoned building; dust or dirt covered almost every inch of the place. Broken pieces of furniture were scattered around in a rather destructive matter. My vision then landed on a small group of people standing off to the right side.

"Um," I pushed myself up, cursing, realizing I was still in my Homecoming costume. "Where am I?" I asked, sitting in a more comfortable position on the wooden surface, I assumed was some sort of bed or table being used as a bed.

"You're on Orrinshine," Wally said, pushing through the crowd that surrounding me, Grix and Nyx were right behind him.

"We found you three days ago unconscious about to be killed by Jinx," Nyx said, fixing her disheveled hair, dust or dry dirt kicking up around her head.

"We were able to fight her and her minions off," Grix said, a hint of sadness in his voice. "But we're can't get in contact with Serine anymore. We managed to get through to them for a little but was cut off by Jinx before we could tell them about you."

"That bitch won't leave me alone," I groaned, pushing my fingers through my, still, dyed hair, getting some green on my fingers.

By the looks of it, it seems the fight happened not too long ago by the way everyone was covered in dirt and blood, looking just as disheveled as Nyx's hair. And by the sound of Grix's voice, injures and maybe even deaths had happened.

"Well, you won't like this either," Grix said, pulling an object out from behind his back. It was the green sparkly flat Khloe was wearing with her Tinkerbell costume. "We overheard Vixen tell Jinx she was taking Khloe and the boy, Lincoln, to Kage Mountains."

I scrambled off the bed, yanking the flat out of his hand. "We need to go get her… get them."

"We just needed you to wake up," Wally said, placing his hands on my shoulders, giving them a squeeze. "But it's just gonna be the four of us. The rest of the rebellion needs to get back to Silverkeep. So, give us a few minutes to get the remaining ones through the portal, okay?"

I nodded my head, understanding the Rebellion came first for Wally and the others. "Okay."

Nyx handed me a towel, telling me to wipe off the face paint and a new change of clothes. I thanked her as I watched Wally and Grix help the rebellion and their families through the portal. The last ones to go through were a mother and her son but they had stopped in front of Wally. Anyone with eyes could see that the woman and the boy were Wally's mother and brother. Same fiery red hair. Same freckles across a pale face. And same markings I learned all inhabitants of Wally's home dimension of Silverkeep have.

The woman cupped Wally's cheek before pulling him into a tight hug and the boy wrapped his arms around both of them.

"I'll be back soon," Wally said once they pulled away. "I promise."

The woman nodded then looked at me. Her eyes soften into a smile. "Look after him. He tends to be a bit reckless when he gets excited."

I chuckled at the statement, knowing it was true. "I will."

With that said, she and the boy stepped through the portal.

After the portal was closed, Wally turned around scratching the back of his neck, embarrassed. "She seems to like you."

"She probably was already planning the wedding," Grix commented, elbowing Wally's arm, making the rebel leader push him back in return; or rather tried pushing large orc.

"To bad you're not interested in Wally that way," Nyx added, shooting me a smile before we all ended up laughing.

I stepped behind a cloth to get changed as the others discussed the path we were going to take to get to where Wally believes Vixen took Khloe and Lincoln.

"Let's get going," Wally said, once I finished and he handed me a bow and quiver full of arrows. "It's gonna take a couple days to get the Kage mountains since I used up most of my magically energy on creating a portal."

To say the journey was smooth would be an understatement. Claiming the current route was the quickest, Wally led the four of us through the muddiest, smelliest and hottest part of this dimension. The boots Nyx had given me, were now a lovely color of brown instead of their previous color of tan. Sweating through the thin linen shirt made me grateful for having short hair that didn't touch the back of my neck. But the unknown smell wafting through the air on the second day caused me to become bitter, and rather quickly at that, annoyed that I had a strong sense of smell. It was so bad that I tied a cloth around my nose to prevent some of the smell from entering my nose, keeping it at a manageable level. The others didn't seem to mind, telling me they've been here too many times.

"Remind me never to complain about the heat in Heatherfeild again," I sighed, climbing over a fallen tree. "How can you guys deal with this?"

Their answers were cut off by an all too familiar cackle.

"Poor little girl can't handle the heat, I see," Jinx said, crossing her legs, sitting on a thick branch right above us.

"And the crazy stalker can't take a hint, I see," I mocked back, rolling my eyes. "I was wondering when you would show up."

She scoffed, snaping her fingers. Grix moved faster than I could, swinging his axe and slicing the tree trunk that was uprooted and was about to fall over me. The two pieces thudded against the ground beside us. I pulled an arrow out, positioning the end properly on the string, Nyx doing the same.

"How many times do you need to get your ass kicked before you realize you're way out of your league?" I released the arrow but it had just missed her arm, imbedding itself into the tree.

"We will get what we want!"

She flicked her fingers from a large boulder to Nyx and Wally, the boulder flying at high speed at the two. Luckily, Wally used his own magic to smash the boulder into dust before directing another rock in Jinx's direction. She was able to avoid it by jumping to another branch, the part bowing under her weight, obviously not thick enough to hold her for long.

"Not while the Guardians are alive," I yelled back, grabbing another arrow. "And even if we die there will be others who will come after us to project the Infinite Dimensions!"

Nyx and I simultaneously released our respective arrows. My arrow skimmed her arm, while Nyx's hit Jinx's thigh. The woman let out an ear piercing scream, falling from her perch and landing on the ground with a painful thud. Before any of us could react, Jinx produced a broken wail that echoed through the forest as her magic began leaking from her body. Trees shattered into millions of splinters or crumbled around us. The ground even began to rumble and crack open, swallowing anything it could.

"Shit, we need to get away from her!" Wally screamed, nearly getting crushed by a falling tree, if it wasn't for Nyx pushing him out of the way and having the tree drop between them.

Grix grabbed my hand hauling me away from a crack forming under my feet and started to run, following Wally and Nyx, ducking and dodging debris and cracks. I chanced a look back at Jinx when she went silent but I couldn't see her.

"Shit, where'd she go?" I mumbled, evading a vine.

I looked back in front of me just in time for an object to enter my line of sight. But it came too rapidly that I couldn't see what the object was or did not have time to react. Next thing I feel is my back hitting the ground, knocking the wind out of me and someone calling my name before I blacked out completely.

When I came to once again, I was in some sort of cave but the splitting headache I had going on stopped me from looking around and just shutting my eye tightly. I didn't know how long I was out but judging from the way my stomach growled, I'd said a day, at least. I should have been more thankful for the food Wally and the others brought along for the journey but my spoiled ass had to complain even though I knew that was what little food the Rebellion had left before they went to Silverkeep. Thankfully, though, Wally assured me the rebellion had more food on Silverkeep.

"Izzy!"

Khloe's voice had my eyes shooting back open and darting around until I saw her across the cave, chained to the wall next to Lincoln. It made me realize that I, too, was chained to the wall.

"Khloe! Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I asked, franticly as my eyes moved around her body trying to see for myself if she was injured.

She shook her head. "Just bruised a bit but nothing too bad. What about you?"

"Just this killer headache that is no doubt gonna turn into a concussion." I pulled at the chains, testing the durability but it seemed like I wouldn't be able to yank the chains from the wall. Then I looked around the cave not seeing Wally and the others or Vixen for that matter. "Where are the others? I was with Wally, Nyx and Grix."

Lincoln shook his head. "Jinx had only brought you here, not the others."

I cursed. "Where is Vixen and Jinx?"

Khloe shrugged. "They left a few minutes before you woke up."

"I guess that's a good thing. We need to get out of these chains, find the others and try and find a way back to Serine."

"I'm pretty sure Vixen left her wolves at the entrance of the cave." Khloe sassed, with her normal level of sass before shaking her cuffed wrists. "And how do you propose we get out of these?"

I rolled my eyes at her sass. "Maybe I can melt the chains."

I ignored Khloe's own eye roll and huff as I focused on the chains. During one of our training sessions, I remember being told by Queen Cornelia and Hay-Lin that it was possible to use our respective elements when we were not transformed, we just needed to be careful how much use since it could easily drained our energy. So, I concentrated on the portion of the chains that split into three parts, melting that should allow me to separate me from the wall and still give me full mobility of my arms and hands. Even if I would have the cuffs on but it's better than trying to melt both cuffs and possible losing too much energy to not being able to do the same with Khloe's and Lincoln's chains.

Gripping the section, I warmed my hands as much as I could. I smiled, triumphantly, at all the chains falling away, freeing me in a matter of seconds. "I knew I could do it," I said, quickly making my way over to Khloe and Lincoln. "Now, let's free you two and get the hell out of here."

Once they were freed, we made our way out of the cave but Khloe was right, two of Vixen's wolves were standing guard at the entrance. Before Khloe or I could figure out what to do, Lincoln had picked up a large rock throwing it straight at one of the wolves head but it missed and ended up hitting it's rib cage. It fell to the ground, the other one rushing over to comfort it. I knew it was cruel but it was either us or them and that wasn't a hard choice.

The one still upright was standing over the injured one, baring its teeth and protecting it from us. I stopped Lincoln from throwing anymore rocks and pushed them towards the opposite way of the wolves. Something told me they weren't going to follow and I was right. We got to the bottom of the mountain and we could see the uninjured wolf looking down at us.

I was about to speak but rustling leaves stopped me. The three of us exchanged looks but briefly relaxed when we saw Wally, Nyx and Grix.

"Izzy!" Nyx said, once she spotted us. "Are you three okay? We tried stopping Jinx from grabbing you but she ended up knocking all of us out too."

"It's okay. We're okay," I assured them. "Let's get out of here."

"Good idea," Wally agreed, leading us away from the mountains, Nyx and Grix trailing behind us. "I sensed a portal nearby. If we can get there before Jinx and Vixen realized you three are gone but we'll be good."

Wally led us in the direction he sensed the portal, luckily this time it was a lot easier to navigate through the forest. When we got to the portal Khloe and I exchanged looks, both feeling the same sensation coming from the portal but as far as we could tell no one was on the other side.

"Izzy! Khloe! Thank god! I didn't think it worked."

"Wynter!" We both exclaimed, seeing the girl pop her head in view.

"Come on! Hurry!" She waved all of us to travel through the portal.

Wally pushed me, Khloe and Lincoln through first before him, Nyx and Grix followed. Wynter closed the portal before running over, embracing us to which both Khloe and I accepted it, finally feeling safe.

So, if I finish the next chapter today or in the next couple days, I will be posting it. I wanna try and post two chapters every month just because it will take me another year to finish this story and I just do not want that. Hopefully I can pull that off!
