CHAPTER 2
Bastard son
Isle smirks as he walked into his office. He ignored Chloe who was seated watching television. He grins as Chloe spoke from behind him, "You haven't seen me for decades and this is how you greet me? A silent treatment? Really? Look at me, Carlisle." By her tone, Isle knew she was getting impatient and angry. With a smirk, he turned to look back at her.
"Hello, sister. How is Tia Anna?"
"Our aunt is fine. You have a fine office. It looks like you have had a fine life as well." Isle arched up an eyebrow, "Really? You think I did not suffer before having all of this? Our so called father is a monster who I am glad you do not have the luxury of knowing, Chloe. Let's go outside." He placed his suit around his chair leaving on a white shirt, red tie, black jacket and black trousers. Chloe smirked as she walked outside with Isle leaving the office behind. "Your sense of fashion still hasn't improved over centuries, I see." Isle scowled, "Oh shut up, Chloe. How have you been? And I know, you're lying. How is Tia Anna really?" Chloe frowned slightly, shrugged and nearly collided into Isle as he stops to stare at her. Chloe felt uncomfortable under Isle's silent scrutiny but remembering that she was more powerful than him, she raised herself shoulder high and smiled sadly as she replied, "Tia Anna is dead. She died ten years ago which you would have known if you had come to visit."
Isle rolled his eyes as they stopped by a coffee stand and bought two smoothies. They didn't really need it but just for the taste. Isle finally spoke, "You couldn't really turn her into a vampire? You're a Tribrid, aren't you?" Chloe arched an eyebrow as she sipped her drink. She then answered, "You didn't really consider the fact that she might not want to be a vampire? It's so you to be selfish, Isle." Isle growled, "Selfish? Chloe, watch your tone with me."
"Or what?" Her eyes glowed golden as they glared at each other. Chloe then stormed off. Isle exhaled and thought to go after her but was stopped by a lady. He glared at the lady and spoke brashly, "What?" The lady laughed and took off her sunglasses as she said, "You really shouldn't mess with a Tribrid, Isle." Isle looked at the lady's face for a good long while to see if he will recognize her. His eyes widened as the memory clicked. "Elizabeth. I will be damned. What are you doing here?" He hugged her. Elizabeth smirked, "Oh, I'm going to my father. He plots on going to the Appalachian mountains for... Anyways, what happened with you and your sister?" Isle looked in the direction where Chloe had gone and said, "Ah, it's nothing. We'll sort it out. Just small siblings squabble." Elizabeth grinned, "See you later then. Don't want Nik to leave without me." She walked off and Isle smiled watching her go. He then muttered to himself, "Ah, good times." He walked back towards his office deciding to leave Chloe alone for the time being. When she calmed down, she would find him. His time in office was over anyways. As he did in every city, he pretended to be struck down with a life ending sickness and choosing a successive CEO, he moved on.
Chloe stood in the side of the road admiring the paintings. A British accent sounded from behind her making her tilt her head back, "Liking the paintings?" Chloe looked back to the paintings. They calmed her down after her altercation with Isle earlier in the day. She was still fuming with rage but it had quelled. Looking back at the handsome stranger, she replied, "You sound proud of it as if they were." He came to stand by her side touching the paintings reverently, "And if they were, luv?" Chloe smiled and folded her arms as she responded, "They're not half bad." She was messing with him and wanted to see how far she could get away with it. The paintings were actually good. And from descriptions of others to her, she knew that this was the infamous Niklaus Mikaelson that she had heard so much about. The smug smirk with an arrogant posture told her so with blue eyes that could turn lethal at any moment.
Chloe smirked at Klaus as he touched the paintings, "You are Niklaus, aren't you?" Klaus smirked back, "I generally prefer Klaus but yes, I am he. You seem to know so much about me but I barely know about you. What's your name, luv?" Chloe grinned, "My name is Chloe. Chloe Gomez." Klaus laughed, "A beautiful name for a beautiful lady."
"What are you doing here, Klaus?"
"Oh, I am waiting for my daughter. What about you, beautiful?"
Chloe abruptly changed the topic, "Are you flirting with me? Well, if you are, you are in luck. I like bad boys." She leaned in whilst saying the last one in a loud whisper. She then walked away. Klaus watched her in bemusement as she walked away. He was going to have a lot of fun chasing her. He smirked to himself. Elizabeth blurred behind him with a smile, "Been looking everywhere for you. Shall we?" Klaus smiled, "You seem eager." Elizabeth grinned, "The sooner we get this done, the better chance we have of finding Hope." Klaus nodded curtly, "Let's go then."
Noah smirks as he approached the Lockwood mansion. He had traced the vampire that staked him to the mansion and he knew that the Lockwoods, a predominantly werewolf family lived there. But he was prepared for that. He was a Mikaelson witch, an Heretic in fact because he was also a vampire so he could siphon the spell and he could heal himself outrightly as he had also mastered the Dark Arts, Expression made and taught by his master, Sean Blake. Getting to the threshold, he knocked the door and waited with a smirk on his face. The door flung open and a young lady stood there.
Noah smirked, "Oh, I am sorry. I am asking for Alexandra. I believe you know her as Lexi." The young lady narrowed her eyes in suspicion and said, "Who's asking?" Before Noah could respond, he heard Lexi yell, "Shut the door, Treuse. He is incredibly dangerous." Even as the door banged against his face whilst he grinned calmly, he knew they were no match for him. He waved his hands and the door tore off it's hinges. Treuse widened her eyes and everything happened in mere seconds. Noah walked inside and with a blur, he backhanded Treuse and stabbed her with a stake in her belly leaving her groaning in pain. As Lexi tried to punch him, he deftly sidestepped and immediately snapped her neck with a flick of his hands. As Lexi fell unconscious, Noah noticed Tyler Lockwood watching them with wide eyes. As Tyler made no aggressive move, Noah slowly backed out of the house, satisfied for the moment. With another glance at the wide eyes of Tyler, Noah blurred off.
