This is my first ever story so I ask please leave suggestions on what I should change or fix. There will be Romantic themes later on, but I still haven't decided on the pairing yet. For now, I'll focus on the story and get to that when the time comes.
(I do not own Naruto)

Konoha - Forest of Death
An image of a small boy no younger than the age of six could be seen lying down across the soft patch of grass surrounded by tall, aged trees. Peering above, his vision was clouded by the dense vegetation which roughly outlined the bright, full moon high in the night.
The moonlight uncovered the light, fair complexion of the boy showing zero blemishes on his skin, but a thin visible scar that ran down vertically directly to the left of his lips. Framing his round face was a mix of spikey and silky straight, unkempt crimson hair reaching his lower nape.
Bright violet eyes watched the moon intently, wishing for his safety through the night. He felt at ease when he did as if the giant space rock was looking after him. Slowly he drifted off, clenching his simple black encased trench knife.
" STAY OUT " A middle-aged woman screamed, before pushing the young boy out of the double doors.
Looking back the redhead could only stare blankly at his predicament. He was alone, out in the cold. Left in the lively, well-lit night.
The place he once called 'home' kicked him out on his special day. The one day when he wondered what his purpose was, the one day he pondered why he was born. Because for all he knew on his 'special' day was a deep feeling of nothing.
Seeing no reason to stay, he walked down the hard path of the village. Though his body could only take him so far as he stopped by an open restaurant. 'Ichiraku ramen' the redhead thought before sitting down to rest his tired legs.
"May I help you young one." an old grandfatherly voice called out. Quickly turning around, the now homeless child looked up and gazed at the old man clad in a white chef's hat and fitted in a white yukata. Next to him was a young girl who appeared to be a teenager in the same attire as the man but only had a white cloth wrapped around her walnut-colored hair instead of a hat.
"H-hello, I apologize for disturbing you two," the boy said, caught off guard by the softness of the old man's tone.
"Why are you apologizing? It's not a crime to sit down is it?" The chef asked. Looking at the boy he couldn't help but see the visage of one of his most favored customer. The exotic red hair and round face played a role in his remembrance of the Uzumaki women. "What's your name, little boy?" said the man once again.
"..My name is Naruto Uzumaki." He answered. Only for nervousness to wash over his body as he saw the tall man form a look of surprise on his tan face.
'Uzumaki…' thought the wrinkled-eyed man. There was only one person who shared the same last name as the boy now named Naruto right in front of him. 'Now that I'm looking at him….he couldn't be, could he?' he inquired to himself.
Worry filled Naruto's mind as he glanced once again at the man who seemed in deep thought. 'Is he going to throw me out now or will he berate me for resting in his establishment?' Naruto began thinking to himself.
Seeing the boy's worry, the once thoughtful man closed his private discussion to continue the conversation. "I'm sorry, you just reminded me of someone I knew. My name is Teuchi, and right behind me is my dear daughter Ayame." the chef called out with a bright smile on his aged face.
The once surprised expression that fit the older man's face now carried on to Naruto. All his life only a select number of people liked or even tolerated his existence. The sneering faces or the distasteful filled eyes of the villagers of Konoha became a common recurrence in his short years of life.
"What would you like to eat young Naruto?" Teuchi said his voice brimming with enthusiasm
"I'm sorry, but I have no money at the moment." shared the redhead. He couldn't help but look down with a crestfallen expression on his young face at the revelation. No money, no home, and most of all no one to care for him. Out of everything he wanted, that was one of the things Naruto yearned for the most. To have someone who cared about you could be a dream come true, but he knew as long as he was in this hateful place he would never have it. It was impossible.
"Hmm.. that does sound like a problem does it ?" Teuchi started. As if on cue, Naruto's stomach began to growl at the desiring aroma that surrounded him. "You know what, never mind that since you're new this one can be on us." laughed the old man.
"Are you sure, I don't mean to cause trouble?" The offer was pretty tempting in his mind, but he didn't know the chef's intentions at all. He seemed kind and he seemed to tolerate him, but could he trust him?
"Please the only one causing trouble here is your empty stomach, yes I am sure it's the least I could do." With sincerity rolling off of his voice. The redhead could not believe what he was saying.'Is this a cruel joke ?' trying to find some sort of lie in the old man's face, but no he didn't see anything but genuine.
"Ayame get this boy here a bowl of Tonkotsu Miso ramen will ya," Teuchi ordered the brown-haired teen.
"Of course," she said, going off to the kitchen to make his meal. For the first time, someone was making his meal. At that moment he felt normal, like he was wanted in the village.
Opening his eyes he groaned as he felt the intensity of the rising sun beam through the trees and onto his face. Sitting up he frowned at the dream he had. After being forced into the forest for over a week now his hope for such care in the leaf village diminished as he looked at his surroundings. Treading through the forest he stopped at the site of a beautiful waterfall he found a couple of days back.
He stripped himself of his clothes and placed them on a large rock with his trench knife. Walking through the waist-high waters only a single thought invaded his mind.
'It was impossible.'

This chapter was meant to be more of an introduction, so expect longer chapters in the future.
Again this is the first story I've ever made, but I have some pretty good ideas on it.
Bye.
