A scene opens up with Atomsk waiting for TME to show up.
A moment later a large fireball blasts through a wall and TME appeared from it with a grin and just walked over while he was smoking from parts of his body.
"Hey sorry I was busy fighting demons and stuff in a game… though guess here had me actually do that… inception type biz… anyway ready to get this flame knight thing started?... got more details than what you told me?... will OC's be used and is this a one shot or a many chapter story?" TME asked while he looks curious as he licked his thumb and finger and pinched out a small fire on his head.
Atomsk was thoughtful.
"Didn't think much but it's between certain seasons so can add some adventures in the Flame Kingdom. Maybe Finn learns about a special forgotten area in the Flame Kingdom and he ends up feeling a weird… connection. Will tell you more later but you get where I'm going with this since we may as well make it multiple chaps right?"
"Right… still would OC's be used or nah?... well besides a certain fiery female OC we normally use... and if we're going fire kingdom, think we can use some interesting beasts and monsters to fight with Finn?... don't think we saw much aside flame wolves for local wildlife." TME asked while he was curious.
"Hmmm… well we did use Flame Wyverns before right? I mean I'm sure we can think of some interesting creatures. As for OC's… well when would we never use our go to guys hehe. They can be in it. For Cedric… can say he's an electric flame wolf hybrid that meets Finn and perhaps can be partners and for Emerald… I'm sure you'll give him a better entrance." Atomsk said.
"Hmmm… maybe… Phoebe hires a court Wizard and summons either Incubus Emerald or maybe could be the iconic Catman Emerald?... could make it interesting either way, for now maybe a bit since we can't do much with Finn, Phoebe, or Blaze if they are less than 18 in age given the timeframe of the story if were going with canon timelines… either way should be hilarious if we make sure that when Finn and Jake get where they need to go, can be one hell of an entrance." TME said while he grins at Atomsk.
"Oh yes. Though if we want to make things easy, we can make them 18 if it helps with the plot." Atomsk said.
"Maybe, lets make it so they are approaching their 18th birthday at least so that hormones can really make it funny and stuff in a number of ways, can have lemons with those like Cedric, Emerald, and others." TME said while he looks thoughtful.
"Works for me… let's roll." Atomsk said.
"Right!" TME said before he reached to the side of the sofa and pulled a level before wheels appeared from the couch as an engine revved.
Atomsk blinked.
"When did you do this?"
"Eh I had time… now lets roll!" TME said before the couch blasted off with Atomsk and TME on it as the scene shifts to Finn and Jake while they were walking along a road.
Ooo/ ?/ Finn, Jake
"Man, I know the king of Ooo wasn't the best but getting fired… and all because we couldn't get a flying mushroom…" Finn said while he rubs his head as he walked next to his brother Jake.
"I know man, but we were helping Canyon so at least we accomplished something for her with that family spring." Jake said.
"Yeah always good to help… still getting fired… shouldn't there be like… I don't know… a thing that prevents that just in case?" Finn said while Jake shrugged.
"Eh there is… but you would have to be in the Law type kingdoms for those to work and pretty sure the King of Ooo wouldn't listen." Jake said while he pats Finn on the back.
Finn sighs.
"Maybe… I mean we can still adventure and we still have our home." He said while trying to be positive.
Though when the duo got to their home, they saw to their shock Banana guards around the Treefort.
"Sorry Finn, Jake, but we got orders to block off this place." One guard said shocking the duo.
"What?! But this is our home. It has nothing to do with the Candy Kingdom." Jake said.
"Neutral territory actually, the King-er… Princess is wanting to expand the kingdom and unless you got a deed with legal mambo jumbo, guys pretty much not giving us much choice besides getting you two out the grasslands… says knights who fail their princess shouldn't live near them at all." The Banana guard said while looking at Finn and Jake.
"If it helps, heard the Flame Queen is hiring guards right now and stuff at her kingdom, why not try a job thingy there, besides when we first got here and looked around, I think you guys have dancing termites so I think you would have to leave anyway for a while." The Banana guard said before music played annoying the guard again.
"Oh not again!... come on guys lets stop this party and try and get rid of those dancing termites." The Banana guard said as the others nod and yell when they charged through the front door leaving Finn and Jake outside.
Finn was in disbelief.
"Our home…" He said before remembering something.
"Jake… please tell me you got the deed back from KKW when you two worked things out." He said with a hopeful look.
"Uhhh… maybe?... unless we can get in our home I can't be sure since… well… kinda got zapped by a mushroom with fungus powers." Jake said while he remembered getting hit a couple times and had to wipe off fungus from his head and more and if they couldn't get in the treefort… more so when a guard screams when they were threw from a window halfway but dragged in against their will… looks like looking fo the deed would be a serious issue right now.
Though it was a sweatdrop moment, Finn was not liking this.
"But it's still our home. We should at least get our things. What about BMO and Neptr?"
Comically enough…
Right as Finn said that, BMO and Neptr actually came flying through a window while screaming as they carried some large bags on their bodies while BMO rode Neptr as the neverending pie throwing robot rolled by.
"Run Creator!... we got the basic items needed for living for you and Jake with us!... the dancing termites found the Disco ball of Danceopolos!... its a madhouse in there!" Neptr yelled while BMO screams while hanging onto Neptr for dear life as music kicked into maximum overdrive in the treefort while many lights lit up the place as more screams were heard.
Finn looks at Jake.
"Jake, go big and let's go!" Finn said.
Jake jolts before he moved to enlarge and picked up Finn and ran off with the human as horrified screams came from the Treefort and in no time, Finn, Jake, BMO, and Neptr were in a large came as Finn sighs.
"OK.. didn't expect that." Finn said while he stoked a fire.
"Me neither… especially the dancing termites." Jake said.
"What we do now Creator?" Neptr said.
"Well what about what that guard said?... the Flame Queen is hiring right?... why not go there for now?... if CB has that thing that allows a permanent flame shield, should be easy for us to get if we go there right?" Jake suggests since they didn't have many options right now, PB was living in a cabin at this time so may not have guestrooms, Marceline's home was a no go, not equipped at all for long term guests, sure they could go to other kingdoms but considering their gold and stuff is at the treefort and right now its being party central… well beggars can't be choosers.
Finn sighs.
"Guess we have no other choice. Though not sure Flame Queen will help me given our… history and CB hates me."
Comically enough in a scene flip showing a older looking Phoebe than usual, if not said this point in time was when Finn and Phoebe were growing so in this story she and Finn were close to 18, a bit older but not by much in canon.
"Oh you need jobs because of that dingus King of Ooo and dancing termites?... sure you can get some work here as knights until things are settled and stuff, can even let you crash here in the guest rooms for easy living." Phoebe said while she smiles at Finn while she sat on her throne while Finn looks gob smacked.
"What what!?" Finn said making Phoebe look confused.
"Well we're friends Finn, pretty sure I would be a huge dink if I didn't help out, got an honesty policy remember so think I would make a joke on a job offer?" Phoebe said while she raised an eyebrow at Finn.
Finn shook his head.
"N-No. I would never think that. I'm sorry it's just… it's been a bad day given our situation." He said.
"Eh can't blame you for thinking that, still if you're going to be knights here, three things you should know, I'm in charge more or less, meaning no wildcard stuff, if I have you on a team with Flame guards, listen to what the sargent has to say, guy is good in making sure that things go well, second, aside from being in uniform, you'll have to either wear these to prevent yourselves from getting burned, their Flame shields are enchanted to refresh on the daily by a second so you may feel occasional warm ups every few hours, or if you want a more permanent solution, can have a seal branded on your backs or a tattoo where you want to make it so that you don't have an issue with the shield falling off, both siphon energy from the natural energies of the fire kingdom core so the shields will keep in effect but when out of the fire kingdom will turn off… and finally and its a biggy… no lying… ever… again if I have to follow the rules I made, you two do as well." Phoebe said while she looks at the duo seriously while she grabbed flame shield enchanted items for Finn and Jake to wear.
"N-No sweat Flame Queen. We'll be extra Truthful with a side of Honesty." Jake said.
"Good… how about a test, Jake, what is the secret ingredient of your… perfect sandwich." Phoebe said while she rubs her chin.
Jake jolts from this but he swore so…
"Okay… the secret ingredient is…"
Jake than moved to have his mouth stretch and whisper in Phoebe's ear making her blink.
"Really?... thats the secret ingredient?" Phoebe asked as Jake nods.
"Yeah it is…" Jake said while Phoebe hums.
"I see… well alright you pass Jake… now Finn… your turn…" Phoebe said while she dramatically looks at Finn on her throne.
Finn gulps a bit.
"Okay." He said as he waits for what Phoebe will say.
"OK… Finn… my question for you to be honest on…" Phoebe said while Jake comically make his stomach like a drum and gave a dramatic drum roll of sorts.
Finn was getting nervous as he waits for the question.
"What I want to know is simple… do you… have a girlfriend?" Phoebe asked surprisingly.
Finn was beyond taken aback by this.
"Wait… what?"
"Like I asked, do you have a girlfriend right now?... honestly I heard LSP say things like she would have her lumps with you or gossipped about other Royals and you in… ships… whatever that is… when I try and ask other royals they blush for some reason." Phoebe asked while reminding Finn and Jake Phoebe was in a lamp till she was 14 or so, so stuff like this may go over her head even if she was 17 right now.
Finn did however almost throw up when LSP was mentioned.
"O-Okay… not sure what you heard but… no I'm dating anyone." He said.
"Ah… well nice… still wonder what a ship is if its a relationship term if not actual sea fairing stuff… eh I'll find out later though when I asked Marceline she looked amused and said that I should watch some videos on a certain site she gave me if I want to find out… may look later." Phoebe said while smiling as she got a fireproof piece of paper with some kind of URL on it and pockets it.
Finn blinks a bit.
"I'm so confused… but that's all you wanted to know?" He said.
"Well I'm not going to pry into things but if it makes you feel better, want to ask me anything to make things even before I have someone come and escort you to the guest rooms to rest before you start working?" Phoebe asked while Jake speaks before Finn could decline.
"Yeah since you heard my secret ingredient, whats your name Milady!" Jake asked surprising many in the room.
Finn quickly covers Jake's mouth.
"Shush Jake!" Finn said before looking at Phoebe.
"L-Look… I don't have to ask. Thanks but better if Jake and I rest so we can get ready for tomorrow."
"Right… though if you must know and since I do have a policy, my name is Phoebe… reason why I didn't say anything was because no one asked, surprised you didn't ask when we dated Finn." Phoebe said while she looks at Finn with an amused look.
Finn was completely surprised.
"Really?… that's actually a good name. Wish I did ask back then." He said.
"Hehe, thanks, anyway my newly hired advisor will be escorting you two, she just got out of training so pardon her if she is a bit shy or nervous, first day on the job… Blaze if you could appear." Phoebe said when she looks to a nearby hallway.
Everyone looked and Finn and Jake were surprised when they see… a blue flame elemental with cat like attributes.
She even had a long flame like tail and she wore some cute looking glasses making her look more intelligent… she looked similar to Phoebe as well as in not being made of any rocks or something while Phoebe smiles.
"This is Blaze, she is a rare Flame person who has a higher heated body than most flame people, reason for the blue flames so will be simple to find her if you want to look for her… anyway Finn, Jake, please follow Blaze so you two can get situated." Phoebe said while she got up and stretched before she moved to leave the room after yawning.
"I need a nap anyway… had a rough day and had trouble sleeping last night… after your situated and what not, may have you and Jake help since it deals with some… strange situations around the Fire Kingdom and can be a good step to gaining the peoples trust by doing things for them." Phoebe said while she looks at Finn and Jake with a kind smile.
Finn gave a firm salute.
"You can count on us, Phoebe."
Phoebe smiles at this.
"Good… see you later Finn… its good to see you again." Phoebe said before she left the group while oddly enough.. Were her hips swaying before Finn?
Finn blinks for a moment but shakes his head when he thinks differently before looking at Blaze.
"Well… nice to meet you, Blaze. I'm Finn." He said.
Blaze smiles when heard that.
"Thank you, its nice to meet you Finn the Human, if you and your brother would follow me, I'll bring you to one of the best placed guest rooms so if Milady requires you, it will be simple to get to her, and it will be easy to get out of the castle and more, you'll see what I mean." Blaze said when he starts walking while she had a smile on her face making her look really cute looking.
This made Finn blush from this before he and Jake follow her.
As this happened, the scene went to Phoebe while she went to her room and she smiles when she got to her bed and sat on it while she looks thoughtful on what happened and now Finn and Jake were her personal knights.
"Boy… it's hard to believe I would hire Finn and Jake to be my knights on the very day they got fired and lost their home." Phoebe said.
Phoebe than blushed when she thought about how Finn grew over the years and what not.
"I will admit… he does look different… in a good way." Phoebe said.
Phoebe than looks thoughtful when she looks at the ceiling when she laid on her bed.
"What am I thinking though… we broke up and he may have someone he is interested in… not seeing someone is different from being interested in someone… and I broke up with Finn when he manipulated me… why am I acting like this?" Phoebe said while she looks at her hand thoughtfully.
"I probably overworked myself today. Good sleep will probably help me. Not like he's still thinking about me." Phoebe said.
Meanwhile…
"So… are you thinking of trying to get back with the Flame Queen?" Blaze asked after escorting Finn and Jake to a bedroom which had two large beds inside of it and best of all the place look furnished for non-flame beings since the room while warm, was surprisingly cool while a sign nearby said this was a non-flame person area over the door.
Finn was taken aback by this question.
"Wait what?" He said.
"Well I'm curious since I heard a lot about you Finn… even you trying to win our Flame Queen's hand in the past once and more, so I was curious if you were going to try again now that you live under the same roof as she does." Blaze said while she pushed her glasses up to rest on her face better.
Finn rubbed the back of his head.
"Well… No… I'm not. Even if I wanted to, Phoebe made it clear before that we're old business. Doubt she would take me back since I kept screwing things up."
"Hmmm… maybe… than I guess that means your up for grabs romancwise right?" Blaze said while she smiles curiously at Finn.
Finn blinks a bit.
"Well… pretty much."
"Good, than I can take you out on the town later, may as well consider it a date." Blaze said before she giggles as she left the room.
Finn was just speechless at what he just heard.
"W-What just happened?" He said.
Jake laughs at this.
"Hahaha!... looks like you got a new fiery girlfriend bro or a potential one at least." Jake said before he laughs more as he got on one bed and was surprised to see it was a heated water bed.
"Not funny Jake!" Finn said while looking embarrassed.
"Your right its not funny…" Jake said while looking comically serious before laughing.
"It's Hihihi-larious!" Jake said before he laughs more while Finn grumbles as he placed his clothes and stuff on Jake though muffly Jake didn't stop him from laughing under it while his legs were out of the pile before snoring was heard a moment later.
Finn sighs as he shook his head.
"Good grief." He said.
Finn than got ready to sleep and after he got changed and placed his enchanted pendent on a night stand… he hums when he didn't feel too warm… like the room was protected with a room wide enchantment to protect all occupants it seems as Finn laid on the water bed and smiles at how comfortable he was.
"Ahhhh, that feels good." Finn said as BMO and Neptr were in sleep mode.
When tomorrow happened though…
"Jake you're fired as a knight of the fire Kingdom." Phoebe said when she looks at Jake and Finn seriously.
"What!?... is it because I teased Me bro on him getting a new girl!?... come on Pheebs you can't do me like this!" Jake said before crying comically while Phoebe looks confused.
"New girl?... what?... no I mean after talking with BMO and Neptr when I found them running around exploring I have a different job for you while you can keep the amulet… will have to ask on that new girl thing later but tell me, you have a dream of being a mailman?" Phoebe said while she looks at Jake in confusion.
"Huh? Yeah… why ask?" Jake said.
"Well I need a few mailman and with your powers, as long as your willing to hoof it to various places in the kingdom and may get a bonus for delivering out of the kingdom, I can hire you as one of my royal Messangers, they work for me and deliver things to various people of importance and if your lacking things to do can work as a high tier mailman for non-royal people more or less, can make your own hours so to speak on mail not of the royal variety." Phoebe said as Jake's eyes sparkle now.
"I will be the greatest Mailman ever!" Jake said.
Phoebe giggles while she watched Jake bow to her.
"Anyway after Blaze escorts Finn to a trainer to get the know how of a flame knight hammered into him… you'll be brought to probably the hardest task you may have…delivering an item to a certain person, the hard part is memorizing their name and address so you'll need a map of the fire Kingdom and stuff." Phoebe said while she dramatically looks at Jake.
Jake did gulp at first before looking determined.
"I'll take that challenge."
"Good, than you'll be given a ledger on every known flame person in the kingdom, hopefully you'll memorize each and every name, their place of residence, and than some, you can keep the book since you may not know and its good to remember the Noble part of the list at least." Phoebe said before she snapped her fingers and a Flame guard brought over a book as big as Jake's body before setting it next to Jake with a large thud.
"Wow… that's a lot." Jake said with a slightly surprised look.
"Yeah well when you have one the largest populations of the Fire Kingdom, you have large books like this, still just memorize the first few chapters and you should be good, there is an enchantment to shrink the book down so you can carry it on your person so no need to worry about the size, good luck Jake." Phoebe said as Jake and the book after a guard explained how to shrink it by pressing an icon inside the front cover, picked up Jake and carried him and the book away leaving Finn alone.
"Now for you Finn…" Phoebe said while she looks at Finn seriously.
Finn jolts.
"Y-Yeah?" He said.
"Unfortunately you'll have to be trained properly as a knight and by that I mean lean edicate, how to act in unison with guards, and various other factors so I'll be having you take an all expense paid leave for now for Boom camp, a place where Knights of the Fire Kingdom go, your call on what classes you take but you'll be getting the bare minimum at least, anything extra will help you go from a scrub guard station to potential Royal Guard apprentice status… sorry but can't give you a break even if you are a hero and stuff, and as for why only Royal guard apprentice, well they are the cream of the crop here and pick out prospective apprentices to train so the Boom camp is mainly to weed out the weak and only give the strong." Phoebe said while she had a serious look on her face before she smiles at Finn.
"I'll make sure that food is brought to you from outside the kingdom so don't worry, you won't be forced to eat coal or anything like that if you worry about meals." Phoebe said while she smiles at Finn.
Finn did felt relief on that.
"T-Thanks Phoebe and Thank you again for helping Jake and me."
"No problem… anyway Blaze will walk you to a group heading there, you'll be riding a Flame wolf to get use to them, when your 18 you'll be fighting one to prove your strength so you can have a Flame wolf mount as a partner, more can be explained as to why but all in all expect fun times… well between muscle tearing training." Phoebe said while she looks dramatic at the end when she cracked her knuckles.
Finn gulped a bit.
"R-Right. I will make sure to give it my all."
"Good anyway get going, sooner you leave, sooner you'll come back once your time there ends." Phoebe said and in no time Blaze was giggling as she walked next to Finn.
"Well that went well, Milady was excited in you going to get trained as a knight, knowing you, anything less than Royal guard apprentice would be an insult to Milady's generosity so I'm expecting you to take the full month for training right?" Blaze said while she smiles cutely at Finn.
Finn blushes from that.
"R-Right… I'll make sure to not half-butt things during the training."
"Good, hopefully when you get back, Milady can congratulate you and you and I can celebrate if you get apprentice status, there are a few places I know that are getting foods from other kingdoms so should be simple to get meals for you." Blaze said while she hums next to Finn while making it sound like she is asking Finn on a date.
Finn did blink a bit.
"Are you… asking me on a date, Blaze?"
Blaze giggles from this.
"Maybe…depends on if you become an apprentice or not…" Blaze said in a mischievous way while she smirks at Finn.
Finn blinks a bit.
"Well… to be honest… not sure if I'm ready to date again but… knowing I'm older, can't be single forever. Just worried I'll mess up again."
"Well considering how much you learned, doubt you would fall for the same issues you did in the past… besides… you know how dating goes, if things don't work out, try again with others and who knows, may get lucky, don't want to be a sad sack for the rest of your life right?... that would be just depressing." Blaze said while she shakes her head at the end.
Finn rubbed the back of his head.
"Yeah… I don't want that."
"Good… than when you get back if your an apprentice expect a celebration with a date with me for a fun night on the town." Blaze said with a grin as she walked from Finn while her hips sway with her tail swinging making her ass look more pronounced like she was teasing Finn by doing that.
Finn blushes more.
'I-Is she doing that on purpose?… and why am I liking this?' He thought.
Granted hormones would probably be one reason… another… well a woman actually flirting with him instead of the other way around was probably a good reason he liked this… he was the one getting chased not the other way around.
Granted he was getting somewhat chased since most royals liked him.
Still it was a first a woman openly flirted with him… sure some gave signs but no one as obvious as Blaze… if the Royals and others were library books… Blaze was the open one ready to get checked out… by Finn… when she opened the cover for him so to speak… that level was one level higher than most royals who just giggle or try and get Finn to flirt with them.
This made Finn blush at the scenario as he starts following Blaze.
In no time, Finn was brought to a large plaza with many newbie looking flame people were near a large group of various sized Flame wolves while a grizzled Flame guard veteran looked to be at the head of the pack and noticed Finn and Blaze.
"Ah Lady Blaze, looks like you brought the new maggot like you said, I hope he will be better equipped to be trained than these pieces of trash… may as well be soot by the time I'm done with them instead of a raging inferno long before we get to the training grounds where I'll make them wish they had their mama's long before the month is over." The Vetern said while he gave the group of flame people a hardened look of contempt… mainly for the nervous looking flame people.
Blaze chuckled.
"I'm sure with the training you have, they'll be top notch Flame Guards."
"Hmph, they better… they signed the waivers so I'm not liable if they get into this and either get killed, injured, or have a fate worse than both… oh speaking of which you have this maggot sign the waivers so I won't have to deal with those beings called… *Shudder*... Lawyers… honestly would rather fight a Fire wyvern than deal with them… least I can cut a Fire wyvern down…not so much with Lawyers… I mean I could but that would just lead to a whole mess of trouble." The Vetern said while he shudders again.
"Right." Blaze said before she looks at Finn.
"Good luck, Finn. I know you'll do great." She said with a smile.
Finn blushed from this after he was passed a contract to sign and after the Vetern triple checked things, he nods before he looks at the group.
"Alright Maggots before we get to training hell that would make living in the harshest environments look like a pleasant experience!... now… line up Maggots and let me explain the rules!" The Vetern said as everyone comically moved to get in line next to one another and stands ram rod straight when the Vetern came down with his hands behind his back.
"Now, I will tell you three things maggots… one… at any time you disgraces of Flame people, plus one human, DO have the option to back out at anytime before we leave and after we head to Boom camp… HOWEVER getting there and getting from there will be on your own power more or less, I will give you a detailed map, compass, and a pack of supplies, courtesy of Lady Phoebe herself, you are free to keep them, they are enchanted to be self repairing, self updating with special heat sense magic so you won't have to waste time writing down the area and more, and the backpack… is just a backpack… you can enchant how you will… but the first things is more or less aside those items given and the directions, getting there is all on your power… I want to know who is the strong who will survive the first hurdle and who is the weak sauce who will either be given hell to catch up with those who have a talent or a one way trip out of the Boom camp if I think you are too inept for it… better to crush a dream than have someone die because of foolish ambitions getting them killed from lack of skills…" The Vet said as he went over the first thing to say dramatically while he gave the group a serious look.
Some of the group did gulp at the stare but didn't leave as they didn't want to be cowards.
The Vetern hums when he didn't hear questions.
"Good… the second thing… you will be given a temporary Flame wolf partner who will act as your legs in getting over the hazardous terrain… do not be fooled and think this will make things easy, they maybe willing to work with pathetic pieces of dirt like you all but they ARE NOT your friends, they are NOT your allies, they are NOT partners like true partners are… they will tolerate you, they will endure some dumbassary, but do NOT insult a Flame wolf by thinking they are weak minded beasts… they can and WILL abandon you if you show weakness or demean and talk down to them… remember to respect and work with them and they will work back with you… as a bonus before I get to the third reason, for any female maggots here who are 18 or older, you can make a deal with your temporary Flame wolf partner, by making a certain deal with them you can get their aid however know that unless you take birth control pills I am not liable for what happens after, its on the fine print of the contract you signed and I am willing to go over every word if I have to so that you know what your getting into." The Vet said while he looks at the group followed by the female flame people next.
Finn looks confused.
"Uh sir… what kind of deal would the females make?" He said.
Everyone looks at the human making him blink.
"What?"
"Are you serious?" One flame elemental said.
"Did you not get the talk on tiers or something?" Said another.
Finn looks in embarrassment.
"No… my bro tried teaching me some of the tiers but when I asked about Tier 15, he would said stay away from that." He said.
The veteran facepalms.
