Managing Expectations;
First and foremost it must be said that this story was primarily written for myself with assistance from my friend who shall remain anonymous. This story is written to explore the series arc of my original character, Sargent Emris "Hardcase" Tafford, who was created to be a 'Doom Slayer for the hazbin universe'. If you like this story, great, if not then know that I've done my best. I have endeavored to adhere to the canon of the series this story is based off of, but there are some points of the hazbin canon I am departing from which I will list here.
In the early development plot line of Hazbin Hotel the characters of Vagatha and Angel Dust were slated to be a couple, and I liked this plot point so much I chose to revise it for this tale.
Consequently Charlie and Vagatha are merely best friends in this narrative.
In the canon of Hazbin Hotel pentagram city may or may not be the capital of the pride ring, but in this work it will not be. The capital will be an entirely separate city located in the northern region of the pride ring.
I will be including some fan made or otherwise non canon characters to enrich the narrative as I see fit.
There are more than this, but to reveal them here would compromise the plot for the reader. It has come to my attention that Hazbin Hotel will soon premiere on television or streaming with the help of A24 Productions/Studios and this series may diverge more and more from the Hazbin canon as the series develops and evolves. This is a natural consequence of crafting a narrative from a series that has only just begun, but in any case, congratulations to Ms. Medrano. I may provide context and additional information in authors notes as the story progresses, if additional context is needed do not hesitate to inform me in the review section or through private message. I will also try to release chapters in blocs of five to provide some substantial reading while work continues on the next chapter bloc. If some, or all, of the editing or formatting of this work appears "faulty" please forgive me as I am still learning the upload process that Fan Fiction uses.
