Chapter 6: Godzilla vs Sakura Empire

Amagi sighed deeply with a saddened expression and said, "I know I can't stop you, all I can do now is try and convince him to not kill any of you."

With that, Amagi slowly moved to the side. Nagato tensed up as she could barely make out the signature forms of Gojira's dorsal plates slicing through the water. She took aim as she turned to the side. She yelled into her comms, "THE OPERATION BEGINS, NOW!"

All of Nagato's cannons fired. She did not wait to see if her attack landed and sped away as fast as she could and steadily gained speed. She heard the explosions of her shells, followed by the angered and annoyed roar of the leviathan. Nagato turned her head to look back, never slowing down as she did. She could see Gojira had turned to follow her, but his attention was beginning to turn away. She turned to fire another barrage and turned back around and picked her speed back up. The kitsune had regained the beast's attention again with renewed vigor. Nagato spoke into her comms, "I have his attention, Kawakaze, you're up!"

The destroyer instantly replied, "Roger!"

Nagato looked back and almost screamed upon noticing how close Gojira had gotten. He lifted his head out of the water, jaws open as he steadily gained on the battleship kansen. Just then, Nagato heard cannon fire and explosions impacting the side of Gojira's head. He let out an annoyed roar. The kansen turned to see him rapidly shift in the direction the shots came from. She once again spoke into her comms, "He's onto Kawakaze, Fifth Carrier Division, you know what to do! Mikuma, Mogami, you two are the next in line!"

All of the ship girls Nagato mentioned all replied at the same time, "We copy!"

"Understood!"

"Roger, Lady Nagato!"

Nagato quickly sped to get into her next position to prepare for her next attack. She could hear the explosions from cannon fire, the buzz of the Crane Sisters' planes, and the increasingly angered roars of Gojira. Her comm beeped as a shout from Mogami came through, "Woah! That was too close for comfort, thank you for the save Fifth Division!"

Suddenly, a flash of blue light lit up the sky, several explosions soon followed as bright orange fireballs fell from the sky. The comms buzzed once again from Shoukaku, "If he's able to take down our planes that quickly, we need to rethink our flight patterns, Zuikaku."

A reply from the younger carrier came, "You're right, maybe we can use the storm clouds as cover."

Shimakaze interrupted in a panicked tone, "Whatever you do, please hurry! He's right on my tail!"

"Don't worry, I've got him!", Suruga quickly replied.

Nagato took that as her queue and readied her cannons once again. She called out to Suruga in her comms, "Suruga, bring him to me!"

Moments later, the Sakura flagship saw Suruga speeding towards her with Gojira gaining fast. Nagato immediately opened fire to get the pressure off the younger battleship. The leviathan let loose the loudest roar yet as he rose his head out of the water and swung his head in Nagato's direction. He snarled upon seeing her. Nagato didn't waver and fired another barrage before speeding away. Gojira let out a growl as the shells impacted his chest. His spines started glowing as a low humming sound filled the air. Nagato saw this and prepared herself for the worse. Before Gojira could let loose his atomic breath, bombs hit and exploded all over his back and the water around him. He roared in rage and directed his beam up and around, managing to clip one of the bombers. The rest of the bomber swarm had escaped into the clouds and out of sight.

Shoukaku called out to Nagato, "That was cutting it close."

Nagato sighed as she took aim once again before replying, "We're up against a powerful foe, we knew what the risks were going to be."

The battleship fired another volley, quickly regaining the monster's attention. This same cycle of cat and mouse continued.

Sendai Shoreline

Commander Tachibana was standing in a command tent set up on the shore, listening to the comms of the ship girls battling Godzilla. Kazama stood next to him. He could see the commander was tense as he listened to the battle unfold. The special ops operative sighed as he asked, "You think they'll be able to keep this up? Sounds like they're having more close calls the longer this draws on."

Tachibana sighed deeply, "I'm holding out hope they'll be able to hold on long enough for the mass produced fleet to reach them and relieve some of the pressure."

Kazama nodded in understanding and said, "While that would be good, Godzilla is getting even angrier by the minute. I've seen the reports from his first time waking up. He'll eventually stop messing around and use that beam to wipe them all out."

Tachibana shook his head, "No, if that really is IJN Amagi bound to him out there, she won't let that happen."

Kazama gained a skeptical expression, "What makes you think she'll intervene or if she even is capable of stopping him?"

The commander looked out towards the ocean, unable to see the battle due to the heavy rain and darkness of the storm. He replied, "I've been fighting alongside these girls for many years now. If I know one thing, it's that they have unshakable bonds with each other and will do everything they can to keep each other safe. Amagi being one of the ones with the strongest willpower."

Kazama looked out at the sea with the commander and said, "I hope you're right, because if you're not, this fight is going to get real ugly."

Nagato

Back at the battle, it had been a continuous cycle of a kansen shooting Gojira and running away with the occasional attack of the Crane Sisters' aircraft when the beast got too close for comfort. The constant moving was beginning wear on the kansen. Nagato heard Mikuma speak into the radio, "Lady Nagato, he's not showing any signs of slowing down, in fact, he's getting faster the angrier he gets."

Nagato replied, trying to reassure the others, "Just hold out a bit longer, the commander has informed me that the mass produced fleet is almost here to take the pressure off us for a bit."

Shoukaku spoke up, "We won't be able to hold out long after he takes that fleet out. With every attack run our aircraft make, he takes down one or two immediately."

Suruga chimed in, "She's right, if we lose their air support, it'll be a guarantee he'll get one of us eventually."

Nagato didn't have time to speak as she fired off a volley to pull Gojira's attention away from Mogami. Once she was sure she had his attention she spoke, "In that case, hopefully the evacuations will be complete by then."

As she said that, Nagato realized Gojira wasn't behind her. Her radio buzzed as Zuikaku screamed into it, "Lady Nagato! Get out of there, he dove under the water!"

Slight panic grew within the Sakura flagship as she realized what was happening. She quickly sped forward as she blasted the water behind her in an attempt to distort her exact position in the water. Her trick worked as Gojira bursted from where she had previously been with a roar. The force of his failed attack was enough to knock Nagato off her feet. She grunted as she got back to her feet, slightly disoriented. Suruga shouted into her comms at her, "GET OUT OF THERE, HE'S RIGHT BEHIND YOU!"

Nagato froze as she heard a low rumbling growl that sounded extremely close. She slowly turned around. She looked directly into the eyes of the beast. She saw pure rage in the almost glowing orange eyes of Gojira. He snarled and reared his head back. Nagato closed her eyes, preparing for the end. Gojira lurched forward with jaws wide open. However, before he could reach her, several barrages of explosions impacted his head, side, and back.

Gojira let out a surprised roar as he quickly turned to the source of the attack. He snarled upon seeing a fleet of mass produced ships consisting of a variety of destroyers, cruisers, and a few battleships. The King was getting tired of the constant distractions. He roared in challenge and dove forward into the water, making a beeline for the fleet.

Nagato breathed a sigh of relief and nearly collapsed on shaky knees. Suruga had quickly rushed to her side once Gojira had left. She had a look of concern as she said, "That was far too close. Are you alright?"

Nagato nodded as she regained some of her composure, "Yes, I'll be fine. For now let's take the opportunity to catch our breath."

The Sakura flagship then called to the others through her radio, "All units, regroup and take this chance to rest. The mass produced fleet won't last long."

Suddenly, a massive shockwave nearly knocked the two battleships off their feet. They looked over to see the flaming remnants of a mass produced battleship slowly sinking. Gojira's spines were glowing as he stood waist deep in the center of the fleet. He decided to eradicate the threat as quickly as possible. Shoukaku spoke into the radio, "Looks like the fleet isn't going to last as long as we thought. He looks angrier than he usually does and we know what that glow means."

Nagato replied, "That may be, but all that matters is that we had our chance to rest, prepare reengage, we continue once the mass produced fleet is destroyed. Use the wreckage as cover, it'll be harder for him to get sight on us immediately."

Suruga added, "And watch out for when he dives, the cover is useless when that happens."

As their conversation finished, Gojira let loose his atomic breath. He slowly turned, dragging the beam across from one ship to another. The beam triggered a chain reaction of explosions in each ship. Ammunition reserves detonated and oil ignited, creating a sea of flames. Once one last battleship was destroyed, Gojira dissipated the attack and roared in triumph as he remained in the center of the flaming remnants of the mass produced fleet. He didn't revel in his small victory long, for he knew the kansen that foolishly challenged him were still close by. The beast growled and shook his head in annoyance as he felt the thoughts of protest from Amagi. He would deal with her later.

"Woah! I'm suddenly way more scared of him than I was before!", Shimakaze exclaimed.

Nagato didn't hesitate to rush forward and say, "Gojira knows we're still here, get to cover and wait for your turn to get his attention!"

The battleship kansen fired off a shot that struck Gojira's shoulder. The leviathan roared as he turned to look in her direction. Nagato quickly moved behind the remains of a destroyer. Gojira dove forward and smashed through the wreckage only to find no signs of the kitsune. He snarled and looked around. Artillery shells exploded against the side of his head and he roared as he turned and rushed in the direction the shots came from. He caught a glimpse of one the kansen as they moved behind the cover of wreckage. Gojira growled in annoyance as he realized what was happening. The flaming oil in the water and the rain was hindering his sense of smell, so he focused his hearing and felt for the water vibrations of the kansens' movements.

Suruga observed the kaiju's movement and behavior and frowned before speaking quietly into her radio, "Lady Nagato, we should be more cautious now, he's switching up his strategy."

Nagato agreed with the other battleship's assessment, "I agree, looks like he's focusing some of his senses to pinpoint our locations."

Shoukaku then said, "We'll send in our planes to disrupt him to make sure he can't find you."

After the older Crane Sister said that, a squadron consisting of both bombers and fighters dove from the clouds for an attack run. Gojira roared in challenge and shot out a beam of atomic breath before the planes could get close enough for the attack. Within moments, the squadron was wiped out, but the distraction was just enough for Mogami to rush out and fire a small volley and quickly move into more cover. Gojira roared in annoyance as he looked in the direction he believed the attack had come from. Nagato peeked around her cover just long enough to see what the beast was doing.

Gojira had started smashing through and forcing the destroyed hulls of mass produced ships to sink, all while still keeping himself alert for potential attacks. Nagato spoke into her radio, "This isn't good, he's taking out our cover, we have to keep going. 5th Carrier Division, continue sending out a few squadrons at a time, we're going to need them to keep him from pinpointing our positions."

Nagato didn't give time for anyone to reply as she dashed out of cover and fired off a barrage as she saw Gojira turning to her direction, spines glowing. She realized he noticed her presence the moment she moved out of cover. Kawakaze, noticing the kaiju's behavior, moved out of cover from the other side of the wreckage and fired a few shots as well. Gojira turned halfway to look in the fox destroyer's direction. He was debating on which foe to go after. Nagato then got an idea. She quickly opened her comms, "Everyone, let's attack from every angle! With the cover, he'll have a hard time focusing on just one of us!"

Suruga took that as her queue to rush out and shoot. As Gojira started turning, Mogami and Mikuma both shot from different directions at the same time. Gojira roared as he started rotating, looking in every direction, and getting angrier as more shots came from Shimakaze. The kansen all moved in and out of cover repeatedly, firing a barrage each time. Gojira would turn and immediately shift directions when more shots impacted his hide. Shimakaze shrieked in surprise when she narrowly avoided a beam of atomic breath that blew apart half of the cover she had hid behind. "Woah! That laser is hotter than I was expecting!"

Nagato cursed under her breath before speaking into the radio, "Be very careful from now on. He's starting to get more desperate the angrier he gets."

Suruga dashed out to take a shot but her expression turned to one of dread as she saw Gojira just happened to be looking in her direction when she left her cover. His spines started glowing, but before he could release it, he was yet again stopped by the bombardment of several bombers flying by. He instantly shifted to aim at the aircraft and let loose, destroying all but two of the bombers. More cannon fire from the kansen impacted his side.

"SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEONGK!"

Gojira lowered his head and squeezed his eyes shut. The King had had enough of their harassment. His spines slowly started glowing, getting brighter than before. A low humming sound started filling the air and was steadily getting louder. The same blue glow built up in the back of his throat. He ignored the next few shots that hit him. He also ignored the fighters firing their high caliber rounds and the bombers dropping their ordnance on his back. Nagato realized what was about to happen. "HOLD YOUR FIRE! STAY OUT OF SIGHT AND PREPARE FOR EVASIVE MANEUVERS!"

Right after the Sakura flagship said that, Gojira's eyes snapped open and he let loose. The beam was far more intense than what he had been using earlier. He directed it at all the mass produced remnants, obliterating whatever it came in contact with. He then directed it at the swarm of bombers and fighters diving down for attack runs. When he was sure there was no aircraft in sight, he dissipated the beam.

Nagato gritted her teeth as she barely managed to avoid the flaming remains of a fighter falling into the water. She radioed to the others. "Is everyone alright? We don't have much cover left."

Suruga was the first to answer, "I'm fine."

"I'm fine as well.", Kawakaze.

Mogami, "Mikuma and I are alright."

"I'm okay, terrified, but okay.", Shimakaze.

Nagato breathed a sigh of relief before peeking out from behind cover at Gojira. The leviathan remained in the middle of a sea of flames. She readied her cannons and took aim as she said, "We have to continue, but be as cautious as you can possibly be. I have a feeling he's going to be far more ferocious and determined."

Shoukaku suddenly spoke into the comms, "Nagato, the commander sent some of the AMF's aircraft for Zuikaku and I to take control of. Expect the reinforcements soon."

Zuikaku chimed in, "The AMF were holding out on us! These guys are a little more advanced than what we've been using."

Nagato then heard what sounded like a loud roar and saw a squadron of four aircraft that she, if she didn't see the AMF logo, thought looked like Siren aircraft. They zoomed over Gojira's head, gaining the kaiju's attention. Another squadron broke through the cloud cover and launched several missiles before breaking formation and flying away. The missiles impacted Gojira's side. The resulting explosions caught the beast off guard and he roared in surprise and anger. He tried tracking down the new aircraft but they moved too fast for him to initially track.

Nagato rushed out of cover with renewed vigor and took aim. She spoke just before firing off a volley, "Let's keep going! He may eventually give up at this rate."

Gojira growled menacingly when he felt the familiar feeling of battleship cannon fire hitting his back. The pests were starting again. He didn't bother turning around. Instead, he turned just enough to see Nagato out the corner of his eye. Gojira did not want them to continue their annoying attacks against him.

Nagato noticed Gojira wasn't facing her and got worried. He was changing tactics again. She then saw Kawakaze getting ready to take her turn at attacking the titan. The battleship realized what was happening and immediately called out to the destroyer over the radio, "Kawakaze, hold your position, stay behind cover. He's baiting for the next one of us to reveal our position."

Suruga was watching Gojira's behavior as well. "He's caught on to our strategy, however, if you look closer, he's got himself positioned to keep an eye on you, Lady Nagato."

Nagato looked towards the kaiju's head and saw that he was indeed looking at her with his eye rather than directly turning his head to look at her. The flagship cursed under her breath before saying, "Looks like whatever happens next is going to depend entirely on me."

"Not if we can help it!", Shoukaku's determined voice sounded in the radio.

The roar of the AMF aircraft could be heard again. Gojira snarled and began charging up as he shifted his gaze to the sky. Nagato took the opportunity to fire a volley and dash for cover before the shells could reach their intended target. Gojira roared and fired a beam where Nagato had just been. He then stopped momentarily before aiming his head high and opening up again, taking out one of the new aircraft as it lined up to fire a missile.

The other aircraft in the squadron quickly sped into the clouds as they launched their missiles. Gojira roared in frustration when the projectiles detonated against his chest. Artillery shells impacted his back and he roared again. Suruga quickly rushed behind cover before he could fully turn around. Nagato sped forward and shot the beast's side. Gojira snarled, instead of turning to face the source of the attack, he swung his tail down onto the water's surface. Nagato's face paled as she realized what happened and moved to where his tail had slammed faster than she ever did before.

Moments Before

Mikuma saw her opportunity to move in after Suruga's attack and sped forward. The cruiser took aim and prepared to fire once Nagato's barrage connected against Gojira. She saw the snarl on his face. She then noticed the long tail of the leviathan swinging down towards her. She barely managed to move out of the way, but the impact of it slamming down was enough to knock her off her feet. Mikuma groggily got to her knees. She slowly looked up when she felt the large rippling of waves from something distorting the water. She froze upon meeting the enraged gaze of Gojira. He was leaning down with a snarl. A low hum filled the air as he began to charge up. Mikuma closed her eyes tight and began to silently cry. She knew she wouldn't be able to get away in time.

Gojira opened his maw, preparing to let loose. However, multiple barrages of cannon fire exploded all across his face. He roared in rage.

Nagato moved in front of Mikuma. Mogami came from the side and helped her younger sister up, slinging one of her arms over her shoulder to help her stay up. Nagato didn't take her eyes off Gojira as he cleared the smoke from his eyes. She sternly ordered, "Mogami, get the two of you out of here."

Mogami kept part of Mikuma's weight on her shoulder as she looked with concern and asked, "But what about you, Lady Nagato?"

Nagato readied her cannons and said, "I'll cover your retreat."

Mikuma was about to protest, but then Mogami stopped her. "Come on, you're too badly injured to keep going."

Mikuma hesitated but followed her elder sister's lead. They moved away as fast as they could. Nagato looked to make sure they were far enough away before she fired again to keep Gojira's attention on her. The beast snarled and recognized Nagato as the primary source of his annoyance.

Nagato spoke into her comms, "Attention everyone, I'm ordering a full retreat, I just got the word from the commander. I'll keep his attention away from you."

Zuikaku yelled into the radio, "You can't be serious! He will kill you!"

Suruga was the one that replied to her, "Stand down Fifth Carrier Division. Nagato knows what she's doing."

Nagato could still hear the doubt in the younger battleship's voice. "Thank you, Suruga. I know the risk I'm taking. Now, get back to the docks. Nagato, out."

Gojira roared and began to charge up as he leaned closer to the battleship. Nagato tried to fire her cannons, but all she heard was a few clicks. "So you caught me when I'm out of ammo. How fortunate for you, God of Destruction."

Gojira growled, but still gained some respect for the Sakura flagship. Even to the end, she remains defiant against him. Nagato closed her eyes, ready for the end. Gojira prepared to release his atomic breath.

Just as he opened his mouth, Gojira instantly shut it and snarled. Nagato felt confused at the beast's hesitation, so she opened her eyes and looked shocked. Standing between her and Gojira, was Amagi. She held a stern expression as she stared into the eyes of Gojira. He growled, still keeping his spines charged.

Amagi shook her head and said, "No, I won't move. I will not allow you to harm my friends."

Gojira slammed a fist into the water's surface nearby and let out a roar of anger. Amagi didn't falter, in fact, her gaze intensified. "How would you feel if someone trespassed into your territory? You'd be fighting just like they are."

Gojira snarled yet again. He was growing tired of everyone and everything getting in his way. He picked up on a slight buzz in the air along with the roar of jet engines. He roared in Amagi's and Nagato's faces. Acting as if he was about to unleash his attack on them, then quickly turned and let loose. The beam struck and vaporized a swarm of fighter jets and the older propeller controlled fighters.

Gojira then surged toward the direction of the shore, ignoring the remaining aircraft and the few mass produced ships that were held back in reserve. He would not allow anything else to distract him from his goal.

Amagi and Nagato both let out sighs of relief. Nagato looked to Amagi, "I owe you a lot."

Amagi nodded, "I could use some tea and snacks right now."

Meanwhile

The tank commander held the radio to his ear, listening to the the news, "Gojira is making a beeline for the reactor, ignoring all ships and aircraft. Your turn tank divisions."

The commander replied, "Roger, what's the status of the evacuation?"

"The last group of transports are still being loaded, buy them as much time as you can."

The commander looked out and saw flashes of explosions from cannon fire and lightning from the still raging storm. "We'll do the best we can. If the firepower of those girls isn't enough to hurt him, I doubt we'll be doing much better."

The commander switched the radio to contact all tank divisions. "Ready your weapons, we're the last line of defense. We have give those transports enough time to get those civilians out of here."

In the distance, they could see a massive mound of water with the signature three rows of spines slicing through the surface. The spines suddenly stopped. Then a plume of water exploded into the air. As the water fell back down, the form of Gojira stood in the middle of the water, waste deep.

The tank commander yelled the command into the radio, "ALL UNITS, OPEN FIRE!"

Suddenly, every single tank lined up on the shore line fired. Explosions impacted all over Gojira's body and the water around him. He roared in rage and continued forward, increasing his speed. The tank commander heard in his radio the panicked voices of some of his men.

"What the hell! He's not slowing down!"

"It looks like he's just getting angrier and faster!"

"Shit, what's up with that glow!?"

Gojira roared as he unleashed his atomic breath, raking it across the shore line. Any tank caught in the beam exploded. The tank commander saw the beam getting closer to his tank. He closed his eyes and gave a silent prayer as he accepted his fate. He felt the intense heat, then nothing as his tank was engulfed in the beam.

Gojira roared in triumph as he marched onto the flaming shore. He looked to the nuclear power plant, sensing the energy within. He began stomping toward it, growling in hunger.

Nearby, the last transport helicopter began to take off into the air. The people closest to the small windows looked out in awe as they heard the roars from the titan. The sight triggering the memories of a few who heard the old legends of the old gods. Their voices being the only ones heard inside the helicopter.

"The legends were true, the God of Destruction is here."

"May he please have mercy on the rest of us."

"Gojira has returned."

Gojira started tearing apart the outside of the power plant, digging for the source of the energy he craved.

The Docks

Commander Tachibana and Kazama stood at the edge of the docks. They were watching as Gojira tore apart the power plant. Kazama sighed and looked to the commander, "We're lucky none of the kansen were killed, only casualties being Mikuma is heavily injured and Nagato suffered slight damage to her rigging. However, we lost the entirety of the tank battalions deployed on the shore line."

Tachibana sighed deeply, "We lost a lot of good men and women down there, however their sacrifices allowed the remaining transports enough time to get the last few civilians away from the danger zone."

Kazama nodded as his fists clenched, "That damn lizard is too strong for our standard weapons. I hope the prototypes they're testing on the smaller kaiju actually work on him, because not even siren weapons hurt him."

Tachibana looked out to the sea and saw the kansen fleet approaching the docks. He grabbed the radio from his belt and adjusted the channel to only contact the kansen, "Before you report to the command tent, report to the quarantine zone and get yourselves decontaminated. You may be immune to the radiation, but humans aren't, it's too dangerous for you to get close to anyone that's not in proper protective gear."

"Understood commander.", came the reply from Suruga.

Tachibana looked back to the sea, noticing a certain girl's absence. "Where's Nagato?"

"She stayed behind, she's speaking with Amagi."

Tachibana turned to Kazama and said, "Make sure those girls are taken care of."

Kazama nodded and walked off, leaving the commander alone. The commander then switched the radio to a private channel, "Amagi, is that really you with Nagato?"

A few moments passed before a response was heard, "Despite the circumstances, it is great to hear you are doing well, Commander."

Before he could say anything back, Nagato interrupted him, "Father, what is Gojira doing now?"

Tachibana sighed, "He just wiped out the entire tank force on the shoreline and now he's tearing the plant apart, searching for the core."

Nagato gasped, "No, all those soldiers, they're-"

Tachibana stopped her from finishing the sentence, "Their sacrifice is not in vain, the last remaining civilians were successfully evacuated. They knew the risks of joining the AMF."

Amagi spoke this time, "And their blood is on my hands, I failed to stop him from attacking humanity."

Tachibana knew the kitsune would feel that way, "Don't blame yourself Amagi, Gojira is as dangerous and stubborn as they come. We knew this would be inevitable. It's the very energy that runs through his blood that's in that plant."

Amagi sighed, "And it will only happen again when he gets hungry again. I can't convince him not to do it and I won't be able to save every ship girl that fights him."

Tachibana couldn't believe what he was about to say, "If you were able to stop him from hurting Nagato, then, just maybe, you have somehow gotten through to him if only a little bit. For the sake of humanity, your fellow kansen, and Gojira himself, I ask that you keep trying."

Amagi thought deeply about the commander's words before replying, "I'll keep trying. Thank you for believing in me."

The commander nodded as he said, "If there's anyone capable of giving that damn lizard hell, it's you."

The triumphant roar of Gojira caught the commander's attention and he looked and saw the beast holding the core of the nuclear reactor. "Looks like he found what he came for."

Gojira relished the feeling of the radiation being absorbed into his body. He had spent far too much energy than he would've liked the past few days. He then lifted the core up to his head and bit down to absorb the radiation faster. His spines slightly glowed as he consumed the energy.

As he was feeding, Gojira thought back to Amagi's defiance. He couldn't understand why he hesitated to blast her along with the other human-fox hybrid. Something within prevented him from doing it, which confused and angered him.

The only thing the leviathan could think of was that Mothra did something when she made the bond. He usually tolerated the bug medalling in things but this was crossing the line, however, he'd have to wait to confront the moth until after he dealt with the sirens.

Gojira then felt the last few bits of radiation being drained from the core. He dropped the core into the ruins of the plant. Then he turned around to the sea and focused his senses to get a general direction of the closest siren presence. From what he could tell, the strongest presence he could feel was closer to the north pole, but along the way there were a few islands with smaller presences of sirens. He now had a goal set in mind. Gojira would head straight for the north and take out the smaller facilities along the way.

Gojira roared and marched back into the ocean and dove forward when he was in deep enough water. He moved with renewed vigor as he felt the fresh power he just consumed coursing through him.

Amagi and Nagato watched as the beast's spines sliced through the water and passed them. Amagi focused on her connection to him, reading his intentions. Her eyes widened slightly and she turned to Nagato, "He's heading for the North. You have to warn them! You know what they'll try to do. And he won't hesitate. However, you'll have some time to prepare, he is going to attack all the siren facilities that are on the way there."

Nagato nodded as she readied herself, "I'll see to it, but I can't guarantee they won't make the attempt anyway. Farewell, and goodluck."

With that, Amagi immediately left to follow after Gojira. Nagato quickly sped back towards the docks as she spoke into the radio, "Commander! Gojira is heading to the Northern Parliament. We have to warn them, otherwise they will suffer far more casualties than here."

The reply came quickly, "Of course that would be where he's going, that's been one of the major siren hotspots for the longest time. I'll inform high command and direct Akagi's fleet to immediately change course and head there. In the meantime, get yourself decontaminated and prepare to set sail tomorrow once more."

Nagato's expression turned confused, "Where are you sending me, and what about the clean up?"

"With my fleet destroyed, I'll have to catch a ride on your rigging, and I've been put in charge of all operations involving Gojira. As far as damage assessment and clean up, the AMF is already taking care of it."

Zuikaku and Shoukaku stood just outside the quarantine tent. Having been further away from the battle, they had far less exposure to radiation. The younger carrier looked to her sister, "Do you think Mikuma will be alright?"

Shoukaku nodded her head, "Yeah, fortunately, she only sustained minor damage to her rigging. However, she does have a few cracked ribs."

"Hey you two!"

When the two carriers looked and saw who called out to them, Zuikaku blushed and hid her face, and Shoukaku stifled a laugh in reaction to her younger sister. Kazama stopped in front of them with a small smirk. "Well, I did say I'd take the two of you out to dinner if we made it through the operation, and we won't be leaving here until tomorrow morning."

Observer hovered in front of a series of screens with multiple different visuals being displayed. She evilly smiled a bit. "Oh my, seems these other timelines of you are quite interesting, Godzilla."

Author's Note: I apologize for the long wait between chapters, I've been extremely busy and also sidetracked with other things. Anyway, HOLY SHIT, despite a short teaser, I am excited for Godzilla Minus One. Such a cool design for the Big-G as well.
